Highland Fire (Guardians of the Stone Book 2)

I loved this new series. Aidian and LiLi story was wonderful. The love between the guardian of the stone and a devoted mother who would do anything to protect her child. Even though this is a new series, I loved how it blends with the MacKinnon series. That was such a great and unsuspected part of this series. Loved it. I just wished it had been longer.

Tanya has delivered another wonderful book. It was great. I experienced the emotion that the characters felt. Love, hate, anger, joy, laughter. She can draw you into a world that we could never experience otherwise.

"I said go with God, ye lout! And do so quickly before I change my mind and whittle your bones down to pick my teeth!" Who wouldn't laugh at that!?!

I enjoyed the book. Having lived in England (not Scotland) for a few years, I found the descriptions to be realistic, even though this was over a century ago. I did have some difficulty following along with the language inconsistencies (sometimes enhanced with the local Baroque lilt and sometimes not). Overall, I thought it was well written.

If you enjoy reading about medieval Scotland, you will love this book. Tanya Anne Crosby did a fantastic job writing this story!! I had never read anything about the Picts. The clans chieftain, his Scot bride who was cursed. The secrets they each had... Would he die? Would she? The old woman Una, who cursed his bride as a child. How would it all play out......? Loved the journey of this story! So excited to read the next one!!

It's like another language, trying to figure out that old highland brogue, but it makes the storyline so much better for the time period. Awesome read in this first book, looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I like the storyline! Love the strong characters. It got a little long so I had to skip some and may have missed some important points. But, I would definitely like to read more in this series. As always, I love a happy ending.

Lilli does the best that she can with what she's dealt, but unbeknownst to her father and brother in law, they've done her a favor instead - she's away from them! A lot of suspense, honor, caring for others and beneath it all, Love. Great story

love all of Tanya precious books. This an intriguing and. informative back ground story. Could not put the book down. Fascinated to the end. Anyone who likes Highland stories will definately love it.

I love highland romances. There is always enough mystery involved to make for a very good read. I've read Crosby before and have always enjoyed her books. She fleshes out her characters very well. This was my first Guardian of the stone books and look forward to more.

This book was exciting and romantic. Well developed characters and fantastic storyline. I've always been fascinated by the Picts and the possibility of magic and this book delivers both. Very enjoyable.

Absolutely enthralling from start to finish. The characters are all brought to life with Ms. Crosby's superb writing and vivid descriptions. I can hardly wait to start the next book in the series and remain with these characters.
