A Slice of Honeybear Pie (BWWM Paranormal BBW Bear Shifter Romance) (Bearfield Book 1)

It was a cute story, but incredibly short and the kindle download I got had a section out of order. In the sneakpeek there is about a page or two that belongs elsewhere in the story. Also since it is so short, everything moves very fast and there isn't much development.

I really ecnjoyed this story, it was a short, sexy, hot read and I enjoyed every single page. Mina is a beautiful curvey pastry chef who is on the run from Harker a very bad man who wants her dead.

Matt is a big strong sexy, hot WereBear and a lawyer who sees Mina and knows she belongs to him, she is his mate and if he wants to keep her alive then he is going to have to hide her and keep her safe.

Though this is a short story it is full of action, romance, life threatening danger, hot hot hot mating and humor. I could not put the book down until I got all the way to the very end of the book. I hope to read more about this town and these werebears.

The author did an amazing job creating this town and the characters (werebears) that love there. The description of the town makes me wish it really existed. I highly recommend this book and this author to everyone who loves paranormal romances, I know you will live it S much as I did. Be sure to pick up a copy you will be very very glad that you did.

The beginning of the book has started with Mina in a car accident and running away from who knows what. Enter Matt, the local lawyer of the town of Bearfield. "Men didn’t really look like him. Or at least, not outside of the movies they didn’t" is Mina's first thought then she remembers that pretty boys cause trouble... but of course the mutual lust is there between the two of them.

The we come to the cause for concern, the troublesome evil "Harker", who is now after Mina for what she knows. At this point. I really like this story; it draws the reader in from the beginning and keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. Then Matt turns into a bear!

Harker and his men come to take Mina back, like the bad guys they are. Matt is the protector of his mate and will do anything he can to keep her safe. After an intense fight and very interesting surprises, the fight is won with some spices and a smart chef. ;-)

The of course comes the sweetest part of the story, the Honeybear Pie and the mating. Gotta love a wonderful ending to a well-written book. Can't wait to read the next in the series and get my free copy of their wedding. ?

Sweet as honey and oh SO GOOD! A Slice of Honeybear Pie had some AMAZING twists that I didn't see coming! The big one...a freaking SHARK shifter! Wow! The details were amazing and gave me a perfect picture of what it could look like. I did indeed enjoy Matt and Mina's story. I giggled, I squirmed, and I was entranced with the story. The attraction between Matt and Mina were off the charts HOT. Things were crazy good, from the phenomenal sex, to the intriguing characters. The plot definitely kept my interest.

Jacqueline Sweet created a unique story that will have readers clamoring for more. The story was romantic and filled to the brim with a great dialogue and one adventure after another. A perfect short story that can be devoured in one sitting! Jacqueline Sweet's A Slice Of Honeybear Pie gets a SWEET AND SASSY FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS! Its definitely an unforgettable read with unforgettable characters. MORE PLEASE!

A lot of telling and not showing. Boring, juvenile descriptions and flat characters. Honeybear pie recipe sounds boring and plain, and basically just an apple pie. The descriptions of some aspects of life make me think the authors are generally inexperienced with how some things work in life and didn't bother to do actual research. And to be honest, when they go the part about a guy being ignored by the cops because he's gay and Filipino, I honestly found that to be contrived and ignorant, and very presumptuous, further feeding into the idea that the authors try to force conflict and controversy in their story where there is none, based on their own ignorant and inexperienced views of the world. I mean if you're not sure, at least do research (don't even get me started on the lame attempts to describe business affairs). Did not finish, stopped at 46%. Yawn.

I really enjoy this short story of Matt a werebear/lawyer(lol) and Mina a human girl/baker on the run from her boyfriend Harker a crazy mafia man (or is he?)

Mina is on the run after receiving damaging info from her friend on her boyfriend's REAL life, when an accident causes her to be arrested for giving her name as "I want a lawyer", Matt is called upon to help her. This is where the sparks start as Matt realises that Mina is his mate and will do anything to save her.

Loved all the twist and turns and family members that were introduced.
Really need a series with Marcus, Michael and maybe there Dad and I found them really funny and interesting, also there is pop pop he needs to be explore more.

This was a great fast paced book. The beginning was slightly confusing as the heroine was in a car wreck and a little slow to remember where she was or why she was there. Once she started to connect it became a slightly steamy story as she met the bear shifter who was to be her mate. Although being human she did not feel the same connection he did, but there was a connection there even without her being a shifter. A love that this story involved several different types of shifters including a shark (the bad guy of course), and the usual bears and mentions of others. The other thing I really loved about this story was how the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and the recipe used by the heroine. I have tried the recipe at the back of the book and it was a great hit at my house! I am certain I will pick up more released titles by this author in the future.

I really enjoyed reading A Slice of Honeybear Pie (BWWM Paranormal BBW Bear Shifter Romance), all about Mina a Pastry Chef & Matt Morrissey who met after she drove her jeep off the side of a mountain road in Bearfield, CA. Mina is running for her life, she's trying to get away from her boyfriend/business partner who is into many illegal things and wants gear dead. In her haste to get away she almost killed herself, totaled her car & won't tell the Sheriff her name. She's terrified that if she tells one more person about her problems they will also die! The author wrote an incredible story about shifters, and the characters brought said story to life. Read this story because it will make you laugh, cry, shake your head & cum a lot. Read this series and fall in love withe the charming town of Bearfield!

This was a great little short and I really enjoyed it, especially a surprise in the end as well as the title recipe at the back of the book. Great idea! Matt is a big bear of a lawyer with a smile and a sweet tooth and called in when Mina a BBW baker on the run from her dangerous ex, asks for a lawyer when she lands in jail. Mina needs help and Matt feels he is just the bear to protect her. His resolve is strengthened as he is mesmerised by her ample curves and a promise to provide him with a honeybear pie. I enjoyed the feel of this town and want to read more about it as well as more about Matt's big bear brothers. I was quite pleased when I reached the plot twist it was a nice surprise.

A quick but great read about a bear shifter named Matt, who is lawyer and Mina, a curvy pastry chef who needs a lawyer since she is on the run. Mina knows that she should be worried about her life, but she can't help but want to get Matt naked. Mina is a strong heroine who doesn't stand by and let the hero save the day. The only thing is she doesn't believe that anyone could love her because she considered herself fat, but Matt loves the fact that she is curvy not fat. The villian in this story is not what he seems and has more secrets that Mina knew. Will Mina be able to give up the city life and live in the mountains or will she go back to the city once she is safe.

Mina finds herself on the run and crashes in Bearfield. Taken to the police station and awaiting her attorney, little does Mina realise how much her life would change when Matt walks in the door. I would so love to see more on Matt's brothers and the characters that make up Bearfield. What an absolutely fantastic idea to put the recipe for Honeybear Pie at the end of the book, am so going to try it out!

The two share passion and adventure as they journey towards a future that is fated to be. I enjoyed reading this story, and I hope to have the chance to visit Bearfield again.

I loved this story. The instant attraction between the hero and the heroine was great. The voice of the heroine came off as strong and mature to me. I really liked her. The twist with the guy chasing her was great too. Thanks for the recipe too. Can't wait to try it out.

Bad guys, a bear shifter and a plucky heroine. What more could you ask for. Well crafted story. I look forward to more stories from this author.
