Another great idea in theory, but quickly realized after baby came that there are free apps for your phone that keep better, more detailed records than this, and are less time consuming as well. This would work well for person without a computer, or for someone who was afraid to store such important records electronically.

Very well made if younwant a qritten record of feesings it will be easy to use. Several pages and even places dor juat notes. Unfortunately I nevee used it because I ended up using an app on my phone. Possibly this will be good foe the nanny.

This is such a great way to stay organized...especially for a first time mom. I was only planning on using this for the first few weeks, but my daughter is already two months old and I'm still using it. I wish it was longer...I'm almost out of pages!
This helped my husband and I immensely in the hospital when we had to stay a few extra days so my daughter could be under the bili lights. The nurses would ask us every few hours how many wet/dirty diapers did she have, how long did she eat and we would have all the answers right there. Eventually they just looked at the book and didn't need to ask us.
It's really helped us out at home as well. I can see patterns in her feeding/sleeping that I wouldn't have noticed as easily otherwise.
Yes you could make up a spreadsheet and print it out to have something similar, but it is so nice to just throw it in the diaper bag and go.

I just ordered my second book because I'm running out of pages in the first one. This journal is perfect for recording anything you need during your baby's first few months. My newborn had a few feeding problems and I was able to track every detail using the pre-formatted pages, as well as the blank Notes pages for every day. It's also a perfect size for the nightstand and to throw in the diaper bag. I highly recommend this journal.

I love this product!I received the journal from a friend when my third child was born. This journal has kept order in what can sometimes be a very chaotic household! My only regret is that I didn't have this item when my first two children were babies! It has come in very handy during sleep deprived nights when I couldn't remember the last time I was up to feed my newborn his bottle. We have been trying to keep the baby on a four hour feeding schedule to encourage him to eventually sleep through the night and the journal keeps us on track. Also, if my husband or my babysitter does a feeding for me I can instantly look in the book and find out exactly how much he ate and when he ate it. My infant can be fussy and colicky so it is helpful for me to see if there are any patterns to his crying that might be related to his feeding or bowel movements. It provides a lot of reassurance to parents and caretakers that their baby is eating, sleeping, and pooping enough! Every parent can use this journal!

I received this journal as a gift and really thought that it would take more time than I would have to make the entries and that I would be able to remember without having to write anything down anyway...wrong on both counts! This journal was a godsend. I kept it in whatever room I was in and jotted down EVERYTHING (the notes pages came in handy). On the one or two occassions that I didn't make an entry (because I swore I'd remember), I regretted it and realized how much of a relief it was to have everything recorded in one place so that I could refer back without me having to stress about keeping such important information in my head. A simple and great tool.

Everyone should get one of these when they are expecting! The beginning is such a blur!!
My son is 9 months old and I am still tracking everything - I find that it helps with figuring out his schedule and is a good tool when you have multiple people watching him. I find that it keeps everyone on the same page. I also think they will be a good reference tool when I have a second child.
I have purchased one of these for every friend who has had a baby since.
Don't hesitate - it's a great buy!

I found this journal very helpful during the first few weeks after my son arrived, and I still use the basic format for tracking daily input/output even though he's now nearly five months old. When they're really little, it's hard to keep track of when they ate or soiled a diaper. Works well for learning your child's sleeping and eating patterns. Has a handy section for tracking immunizations (though you will have filled in all the pages before you get to the 2-month doctor visit).

I have gone through 2 books now. Has everything you need to note about your baby. Easy to travel with and not take up lots of space on the counter top. Since using many of my friends have purchased and love it too. It is hard to remember the last time your baby ate, napped, etc.. especially in the firt few months - this book is a lifesaver with that!

Seriously. Whether this is your first baby or your fourteenth, this little book is an absolute essential if you have a newborn. My daughter is 6 months old already and I have used this journal since the day she was born. It has helped me to keep track of her ever changing (you guessed it...) eat, sleep , poop patterns and keep all of her growth and immunization info. on record and more importantly, all in the same place! I received it as a gift and now I give it as a gift. And someday I will gift it to my daughter when she is grown so that she can get some insight into her life as an infant.

This book has been a lifesaver. My first baby, now 10 days old, is a sleepy eater. We've had to supplement with pumped milk, and are now trying to wean her to just the breast. This journal has proved essential for keeping track of all feedings, and the results (poop!) so we can be sure she is well hydrated and fed. I just ordered two more for girlfriends who are due in a few months. I would recommend this for all new moms, especially those trying to figure out breastfeeding.

This book was so handy, especially since our son took so long to sleep through the night. My husband would take one shift a night, and since I wrote down what happened last, he didn't have to wake me all the way up to ask when the baby was last fed or changed. Plus it helped keep track of how long he nursed - no way I was going to keep it straight on no sleep!

I took the "Eat, Sleep & Poop Journal" name to mean that this would be a comprehensive journal with room for lots of details, but nope, the title is completely literal: 60 identical pages of charts for parents/ caregivers to fill in date, time, minutes of breastfeeding, ounces of formula, sleep and wake time and a place to check off wet or poop-y diapers, with space on the back of the page for notes. I've met some pretty intense parents, but I can't imagine even the most obsessive of them recording every bottle and diaper after the first few days. Do people really do this? Well, if poop charts are what you're after, this log book has got 'em in spades!
