Great characters. Wonderful story line. Perplexing ending. Ms. Rochon brings attention to New Orleans after Katrina. The sub-story with Jeffrey and Amanda is just as meaty as the main story with Monica and Eli two strong-minded and talented doctors. I believe in forgiveness, I just did not understand Monica's abrupt $10K turn around. Maybe I missed a page. Other than the ending, it really is well written: no typos, no misused words... I will definitely read the other two book in the series.

This book is a typical romance. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy. Their own stubbornness interferes.
There were only a few things I didn't care for. The primary thing is six pages for one intimate encounter. However, I just skimmed over it. The second thing is there is some vulgar words. Anyone can say / write four letter words- it doesn't take creativity or talent.

The book was an excellent romance story to read. It's great for Monica to find love again with the handsome Dr. Eli Holmes. Eli will make a great husband for Monica soon. Amanda managed to beat the odds against bipolar disorder to become a great wife to her husband, Jeffrey, again and a great mother to baby Madelyn. I enjoy the story a lot and hopefully see if the other two Holmes brothers will find happiness with shipmates just like Eli did.

The storyline was great and had me interested all the way through. There were only 2 exceptions. First, there wasn't enough detail in some of the more....romantic areas of the story. Second, the ending sort of dropped off, leaving me with questions that I know will not be answered in the last 2 books (since they are about the brothers). The book was very entertaining, but probably not one that I would read multiple times.

I really liked this book. Monica and Elijah were great characters. Their attraction to one another was apparent from that first elevator ride, and just gained momentum from there. I will say it was great to read about New Orleans post Katrina. Having never been there before, this books give some you some very descriptive details about the city, and just reading it really can help you paint a good idea of what the town is now like. New Orleans was a wonderful back drop for this book. I can't wait to read more about the Holmes clan.

I like the descriptions of the area. Even though I’ve never been to New Orleans it felt as though I could picture the areas that were talked about. Descriptions don’t have to be in depth to the point of describing every last blade of grass and pebble on the road but describing the types of houses in the area in compared with the one the person lives in (ie: the neighbourhood has seen better days but in wake of Katrina the community is slowly rebuilding itself –disclaimer not an actual quote just pulled out of my arse– would say to me that it is at least a decent looking neighbourhood that the hurricane wrecked destruction on and that the destruction was being worked on slowly to be cleared up and fixed which would also signify to me that it’s either a middle class type neighbourhood with people doing what they can when they have the time/money for it or that it’s lower middle class also in the same predicament of doing what they can when they can)

All in all, for this being the first book I’ve read from the author, I have to say I’m kind of hooked and when I have the money I’m going to go buy some of their other works.

I enjoyed the story. The main character was a bit pushy in his pursuit of her, but he grew on me.
Monica was ok. It was pretty much like other stories with same theme. I'm looking forward to his brothers stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I felt like I got to really learn and understand the characters and see their relationship evolve over time. The storyline and dialogue were solid and it was just such an enjoyable story that I found myself rooting for Eli and Monica all the way. I can't wait to read about Eli's two brothers' own journeys towards love as I'm sure they will be equally enjoyable!!

Deliver Me

There is much promise for the new, aspiring author, Farrah Rochon. For her first published romance, there was a promise of great things to come.

Her hero and heroine showed the ability to change and grow into characters you could care about.

Farrah also delivered up the hero's two brother's for our appetites. They were delicious snacks for our curiosity. I hope there will be sequels to follow.

Deliver Me shows much promise for this new author. Way to go!!

Page turning, emotion challenging, heart pounding drama... Monica has banished all men for a year, and Alex doesn't do relationships or date doctors... but is there too much chemistry to ignore or will they stick to their guns?
My favorite line in this book: "Was a the DMV stupid enough to issue you a driver's license, or did you buy it from Wal-Mart?"
Happy reading : )

This is a great book! So much romance, the characters were believable. I didn't feel like the things they said wasn't something someone would normally say! I loved it! I didn't really like the second couple's story in the book till the end, i felt as if it was in the way of what you really wanted to read about! But other than that it was great!

The beginning was almost traumatic then went into a nice romance. It actually had a story within a story and that was distracting to me. Felt stop n start n stop n start no following the one couple. ELI N MONICA relationship was evolving nicely and me as ding to further romances the brothers.

I read this book awhile back and remember I posted it on my favorites list but now that my Kindle had to be Deregistered, and I had to bring it back on line, I can't seem to find my notes. I do remember it was a good book and all in all the brothers worked everything out and true love prevailed. Read the book and I believe you too will like it.

I enjoyed this love story because two people that had been hurt had to be willing to trust again. Eli was a gorgeous man that recognized a good woman in Monica. The family structure was comforting and supporting.
The conversations with the brothers was so real I could see them at my family event, it was hilarious.

Main plot of the story so predictable. Couldn't understand what the inner story about Amanda and Jeffery had to do with anything (so unbelievable); why any man would put up with the verbal abuse of his bipolar wife. Doesn't seem very likely he could have lived with her and not know her condition!! Too many errors in spelling. Aren't these books proofed before being published?

Awesome book. Great read. I need more. I love when a author writes a great series. Plus leaves every reader wanting more and more. She captured me with Maplesville series now the Holmes series has me. Please don't ever stop writing

Great romance, with lots of great characters and not a dull moment. With her insights into people and their feelings, her characters come to life on the page and make you feel like you know them. I look forward to reading more of her books and if the rest of the series is as good as this, would probably make a great movie. Janice Mote

The characters are developed well and stay true to their direction. I find that a lot of romance novels steer off track and just divulge into meaningless illogical sex. Loved the simultaneous story of the other couple's troubles. Highly recommend.

This was a really good book. It was well written and entertaining. The author was able to catch and hold my attention. This is the first book I have read by this author. I really enjoyed this book. The only complaint I have is that the ending was rather abrupt. I kept waiting for a dramatic scene with the crazy ex girlfriend!
