Down the Hidden Path (The Roads to River Rock Book 2)

The storyline was fine but I strongly disliked the female lead "Gray". I couldn't imagine that living in the past whiner as a friend let alone as a potential spouse. I found nothing appealing about her at all.

I loved the complexity of this book between Gray and Miah.
Gray is a good mother who is willing to sacrifice her happiness for her sons well being.
Miah is walking a tightrope while trying to be a good father while amending the past wrongs he has done to Gray.
What will they do when the right choice isn't always the easy one?
This was a fun book to read.

Down the Hidden Path is a touching story filled with characters that you immediately connect with and who touch your heart. You know it's a good story when you wake up at 2:00 am and start to read it because you can't sleep and before you know it 2 hours have flown by!

This second book in the series met all the expectations I had after reading the first book. Once again, Heather delightfully brought me into her character's life until they became completely alive to me. I was thoroughly involved as the character struggles with various relationships as conflicts arise and decisions have to be made. I found myself at times so engrossed with the characters that my own emotions were on their own roller coaster ride. Her writing evokes so much feeling that it is a true testament to how much thought and care she puts into her writing and just how good the book is. I would recommend this book to anyone, but beware it will just leave you wanting more of the books in the series. I can't wait to read the rest of the stories when they come out.

The characters in this story are so realistic. I don't remember crying so much when reading a book! It really makes you feel like you know these people and you hurt right along with them. I highly recommend it!

I spent a weekend reading this book because I couldn't put it down. Having lived in the Ozarks for several years, I was reminded of the scents and sounds of the area through the story. I fell in love with these characters and can't wait for the story to continue.

Book chosen because it was light reading and offered a little escape from reality. What I did not expect was the references to service vets and their bonds that even family ties do not always bring forth. The information related to single parenting and planning was woven throughout the story. Recommend to my female friends and sister..

Another beautiful book .....as I hide away with my cozy blanket,a cup of coffee ready to go on a new journey with "Down the Hidden Path". A beautiful love romance,loved the characters in this story.and fell in love with River Rock it warmed my heart as I live in the Ozarks. Could not put this book down. Another great book from author Heather Burch!

i loved Jeremiah story the heart that she put into the whole book. i couldn't put it down.when i was done reading it i wanted to pick it up and read it again.it was heartfelt and also alot of humor in it.

Once I started this book I was completely engrossed and could hardly get anything else done until I finished it! Heather has created and described a beautiful setting for the story and the characters are well established. As I read the story I felt part of it and loved how it progressed in a very real way.
