While the writing seems more suitable to soap operas, the story is a great one. Ida Chagall is a real heroine, but her father is a childish narcissist. Their trials and tribulations make for good reading.

The first couple chapters were engaging. The rest of the book was not so interesting. Probably because central character is not appealing. I did not care for the narrator of the audio book. Too much emotion.

I found the book to be an interesting, fictional; however, factual story of Ida Chagall, the daughter of artist, Marc Chagall; however, found some of the story to be repetitious. Overall, a good read.

Continued to excite and hold my interest. Learned a great deal about Chagall...not only his well-known paintings but his other interests in all art forms. Also his personality, not necessarily a plus.

While this book is fiction, it follows Chagall's life and that of his daughter very closely and is quite accurate about what happened and when. Its well written and you won't like the person Chagall by the end
