This story is heart-stopping. Love the way the relationships build and the characters are so complex, yet totally relateable. Could not put it down!! A must read for readers with a love of adventure, a good romance, real friendships and a need for a truly satisfying novel.

I was hooked from the jump! I love murder mysteries but this one is etrxa special bc of the mythical creatures it cast....I love learning about Cam and Harlow and Cord just wow! I hate books that leave me hanging that is its only downside
Castle in the Air :: White Teeth: A Novel :: The House On Hope Street :: Drown :: The Outlaw Demon Wails (Hollows)

A nice cocktail of crime drama, fantasy creatures, and romance. I felt like some things like creature names and world dynamics could have been explained better, but I also understood that it was more important to provide character backstory and development.

This was a really good book! I went to Rome and downloaded it for the plane ride, it was so good I sat out in the hotel courtyard and read. My cousin said she couldn't believe I was reading in Rome. I said hey it's really good! lol on book 2 now!!

I don't usually like the .05 type of books but this surprised me. It took a bit to adjust to all the different fae but once into it I devoured it with anticipation for the next. I love the characters and as always fast paced and gripping.

Add to that the last book I read was a courtroom (detective/spy) drama kind of book, I wasn't ready for this one. Even though it's a fantasy, it's still more of a crime novel as the main character is doing investigations. The only differences: they're using the Fae instead of humans. I never really connected with the main character. Even halfway and I couldn't decide what her name was or even if she was male or female. I'm seeing a lot of good reviews for this book so I'm going to stick with my excuses above and ask you to read the book yourself and see how you feel about it. As for me, this wasn't even near a Sara Reine fantasy even though she is the one who recommended it. I don't see myself looking into book 2 of the series or even the rest of this author's books. Yet, who knows? Maybe in the dead of winter Dead in the Water might come back to me and I'll fall deeply in love with it. Oh, I hate cliff-hangers!
