I received this book as an Advanced Review Copy but I'm voluntarily leaving this review. This is book 4 of the Inked Heart series by Crystal Kaswell. The whole series is excellent. You can tell she puts alot of her heart and soul into all her books but this book I feel is more touching than the others. Chloe and Dean go through some tough breaks but don't worry it's one of those hea books. This is definitely a book I would recommend. It has comedy, romance, drama and some really hot sex scenes. All great combinations when your reading your book.

I always feel like I’m on repeat with these reviews because each time I fall in love with the characters and the story and they are always such enjoyable reads. But here goes. Chloe and Dean had a one night stand in high school and then didn’t see or speak to each other for 7 years. Now they are working together and figure out that the intense attraction is still there. Both characters have their own hang ups about why they are scared to fall in love and have a real relationship but they can’t keep fighting their feelings. This is a great love story with 2 loveable characters. It’s hot and steamy and sweet and romantic at the same time. I know this will be on my re-reading list along with all the other inked hearts, dangerous noise and sinful serenade books!

What is it about enemies to lovers that is so irresistible? This book has whatever the magic is. We finally meet the girl who is Dean's weakness. Chloe is almost a female version of Ryan. All black, Doc wearing, tiny bundle of strength, sassy, talent, and, loves to hate Dean. And Dean. He's is usual hot, smart-alec self...but he isn't the shop hussy once Chloe comes into the picture. This book has the sexy, snarky, sparky, fun with that touch of tragic and survivors that Crystal does so well. Delicious.

I don't know how Crystal does it, she always makes me fall in love with the guy who I am least looking forward to. (She did this to me with Tom from Sinful Serenade as well). Dean from the beginning got on my nerves and rubbed the wrong, I didn't like his arrogance, obnoxiousness or how he was always meddling.

However, when him and Chloe finally start you see this completely other side to him. He is ridiculously sweet to her and he strong when she needs him to be, his meddling actually becomes one of my favorite characteristics of him because he forces Chloe to lean on him when she needs to.

This book almost made me cry because it was so sweet, Crystal definitely saved the best man for last with this series.

Another 5 star read by Crystal kaswell! Dean and Chloe knew each other in school they were together once and he never called her!! 7 years later after life happened to Chloe they found each other again. I loved this one so much. There were alot of deep topics in this book but also so much love. You can really see how much Dean has matured and grown because of Chloe. It was amazing

Dean, Dean, DEAN! I have to say that I absolutely fell in love with him from the very first book. It was a long wait for his story, and I can honestly say it was worth the wait. This story shocked me, and I did not see Dean's story going in the direction that it did. I love how the author just threw me through the loop. I love this series and I cannot wait for Emma and Hunter's story.

It says a lot about how much you love a book when, as soon as you finish it, you immediately download and start reading the first book in the series so you can enjoy the whole thing properly!

This book is funny, sexy, heartbreaking, sweet and romantic. Dean and Chloe are an amazing couple. Their banter is hysterical and their bond amazing.

The book is well balanced. The sad, worrisome, heartbreaking parts are balanced out with romance, humor and hot sex.

Wow! I've been gobbling up Crystal's books for quite some time now and this one is my favorite thus far. I don't know what it is about Dean but I've loved him since his introduction. So exciting to finally get a closer peek at what makes him tick. I love that Chloe is a female tattoo artist! One that is a perfect fit with the resident shop clown! Everything about the ups and downs of this storyline was well done. Second chances abound.... we all need those in life!

I'm used to reading rock romances from Crystal so this was a new read from her for me. The book was hard to put down. It was sexy, it had an issue between the main characters, and it read well. I loved seeing Chloe's strong side but also her vulnerable side, which she hides to the world. Dean was a mix of lust and hatred towards himself and what he had done to Chloe years ago. This was a good read.

I love the snarky banter, the playfulness, the chemistry, and the seriousness.
Dean is this playful, doesn't give a crap, manhoe, and he has no qualms about it.
Chloe is this serious, straight laced, rebellious artsy chic.
They knew each other, then lost connection. What happens when they meet again, and real life is at stake?

Did I mention that I love Dean and Chloe? Love how she busts his balls and vice versa.

Ironically, people are either going to love or hate this book.
It is Crystal Kaswell, and smartass Dean shows his smartass sweet side.
But this is the heaviest, saddest book I have read by her.
If you love the emotional love stories then this one is for you.
If you're here for the flirting, there is that too, and a HEA.

I've been waiting for Dean and Chloe's book for what seems like forever and I can say, I'm no disappointed. In reading the previous books in the Inked Hearts series, you have this picture of Dean in your head - and most of the time he comes off as a jerk. I fell in love with Chloe and Dean. These two have a love/hate relationship that is from the past, but can they find a way past those sour feelings? They were the yin to the others yang, even if they wanted to deny the what was obvious. It was a great story that you were drawn into from the start with their wit and sass. But their chemistry and story line are what made you want to be their biggest cheerleader! Love this series and hope for more!

I'm not a fan of cancer as a plot device. Once it was brought up, it overshadowed the love story. I felt like it was a weight dragging through the plot. Instead of wanting the couple to get together, I just wanted to be sure she was going to be okay. Yet it wasn't in an I'm into this story kind of way, it was more just to get the burden off my mind. Sure I knew this was a Happy For Now type of book but still it just depressed me.

OMG I loved this book and was not so patiently waiting for the release date lol. It was so worth the wait. I don't like to be a spoiler on my reviews as some reviews I read does spoil it. I can say is this is a must read in my opinion. I love all of Crystal Kaswell books, I have all of her books.I purchase them on audio as well. I even will purchase a copy when I have one in ARC to show my love and support for one of my fav author's.

Oh Dean and Chloe. With every new inked heart book I have a new favorite couple. Dean the player has meet his match. And it couldn't have come in a better package. I love them. People really need to give Dean more credit. He notices more then you realize and is all about friends and loved ones. I wanted to strangle in a couple books ago. He 100% redeamed himself. Love him. I always look forward to Crystal’s books but this was one I was really excited about. Dean doesn’t disappoint, and Chloe is a sassy little thing you can’t help but love. I loved their banter and immediately connected with both characters. Dean is often flirty and goofy, so to see him handle such a serious situation with confidence and maturity made me love him all the more. I think this is my favorite out of the Inked Heart series.

Seriously this series has me hooked, I have been anxiously waiting for this book and when I was reading it I thought I was going to be so mad with the author but everything works out and this book was as amazing as the others!!! If you have not started this series yet I highly recommend you binge read them all so you can be ready for Emma’s book in the fall!!!

So I didn't do research on this book before I read it and didn't realize it was part of a series. It read just fine without knowing there were 3 other books. Now I'm really excited to go back and read the first 3! I love the authors writing style. It is very raw and honest. She has complex characters and real life situations. I thought the end of this book was a little bit of a let down because of the build up to it, but I enjoyed it none the less.

So here's what I like the most regarding writing reviews for authors... Books like this. This series is so much fun to follow. The characters are full of life and struggles. Just like us. Chloe and Maddox have a history of hating one another. But it's the kind that when you are watching from the outside in, there's something more. The journey is so full of true life stuff and plenty of sexy times. Definitely worth the time.

Hating you,loving you was a cute book. It was fun to read. For a Kaswell book it was alot more light hearted than her other books. Not much in the way of struggles or brooding but that fit Deans character since his personality is so different than Ryan or Brenden. She had to write the story that fit the characters and Dean is just to fun to brood much even if the brooding heart broken boys are hotter. You get a peak at Emma's story which made me happy. Over all I was happy to read the book but its not one I would reread a bunch of times.

This book has it all! It takes you on an emotional journey full of history, heartache, love and plenty of sexual chemistry! I also loved Dean help Chloe transition from someone who draws to becoming a tattoo artist. Dean and Chloe are an extremely fun read with their bantering! Highly recommend reading this entire series, as well as all of Crystal's series (especially Sinful Serenade & Dangerous Noise)!

A powerful emotional book that will take your heart on an emotional roller coaster. Dean and Chloe's story is a slow burn that is beautiful and heartfelt.

Great book! Chloe and Dean had one night together quite a few years ago, then he doesn’t call and she moves on, but never forgets him. Years later she ends up working at his tattoo shop, and the sparks fly. I wouldn’t say there was “hate”, but definitely back and forth that was entertaining. Chloe had some rough times in life, and Dean has never forgotten her. Lots of sparks and heat!

I feel like this is one of the best books from this series.

Finally it was Dean’s turn to fall in love and boy did he fall in love hard.
Chloe and Dean story is more than love and deception. It brings you the perfect moment of forgiveness and redemption.

Their happy ever after is the best!

And I can’t wait for Emma’s book!!!

I have to say this book was very personal for me. I laughed and cried throughout this book. It's amazing how 7 years something so bad could have have happen to Chloe and Dean. Then 7 years later there attractions to one another was just as strong if not stronger for one another. Crystal I want to say I think this is my favorite book in this series. Cant wait for the next.

You will Chloe and Dean's story. They don't get along but they can't stay away from one another either. Their not really friends or enemies either. But the chemistry they have together just draws them back to one another. You will love Crystal's newest book just as I have. I so can't wait to read more of her work too. Strong characters and a great story line.

the store suggested this for me, so I figured I would give it a try. I was thrilled to learn that it is a torrid, very explicit sexual romance set against the background of a tattoo parlour. Overlords, your algorithm is on point! I liked that there is character development in what could easily have been vapid stereotypes. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the "Inked Hearts" series.

The storyline had such potential. The 2 Main characters were just plain annoying and had no chemistry. The dialogue was repetitive. It seemed as if they were stuck in HS and not very interesting...a dud.

Another smash hit by Crystal Kaswell. Love this series, but have yet to read a book by her that I didn’t love. Chole and Dean’s story is another Inked Hearts excellent addition. Lost sleep to finish this book. This is an honest review for an arc copy. This author knows how to write an amazing story. It’s not hype if the finished product exceeds the review.

I loved this book. I love how cold Dean and Chloe were at the beginning, yet also so much chemistry that you knew there was a good back story. Dean was moody but flirty at the same time. Chloe had a chip on her shoulder that wouldn't budge. Until it did. Then magic happened and the story of these two coming together was so sweet, so special.

Omg I have been waiting to read Deans story since this series began. Crystal Kaswell did not disappoint me, Dean and Chloe’s story started back when they were in high school although Dean walked away and they don’t run into each other for over seven years they both are missing something. Can they finally make a go of it. Can Dean get past his issues? Can Chloe? Omg you must read this book it’s a slow burn but dam good. I received this ARC for my honest review and I can tell you I loved Dean and Chloe’s story hot and steamy, very serious and we get to check in with all our favorite characters. I don’t want to say to much because I don’t want to give anything spoilers away. I will say you don’t have to read this series in order but it is so much better if you do. I’m dying for the next book in the series to come out. Fingers crossed it’s soon.

Another winning story from this author. I really liked the backstory, especially Chole's. It isn't something that pops up often in what I read, so it was nice to get something different. I felt like it added a depth to her. I loved seeing these characters come full circle back to each other, but as stronger better people. I hated to say goodbye.

This series was addicting. I loved all the characters. How can you go wrong with a bunch of hot tattooed men? There is a little too much sex (can't believe I just said that.. I read a lot of smut books!) So I did skim some of the sex scenes. The storylines are really good and totally worth reading. I read them all! You should too!!

Read page 1 to epi in one sitting, couldn't stop and needed to know everything about Dean & Chloe. Their story is emotional enough to make you tear up, banter filled in a way that makes you laugh at the zingers, and a character driven story that leaves these people alive in your heart after the ending. So good, so so good. Must read. ❤️

I’ve read the whole series as well as the authors others. They never disappoint. I loves Dean and Chloe’s story. I love the fact that someone means so much to someone else that it makes them decide to change and be a better version of themselves but also makes them commit to something that on the outside looking in is out of the norm.

Through this whole series, Dean has been the guy you love to hate. I mean, yes, he was sweet, but always hid it under this snarky man-whore reputation. To have him finally fall? It was perfect. I loved this read! The banter was funny at times And I loved how the heroine was a woman of color of KoreAn ancestry. She was super relatable and was strong but had her vulnerable moments. The last book I gave a four but I loved this one so much more so it earned a five easily. I didn't want it to be over.

Chloe and Dean... a great second chance romance with so much more. The cocky playboy that no one takes seriously has met his match with Chloe. She sees him right to his core. And he is able to see past her facade as well. They are perfectly matched. Loved seeing updates on the other couples in the series as well.

Dean is a bad boy ratio artist who took Chloe's virginity in high school. Chloe wants to be a ratio artist and she and Dean meet upagain when she apprentices at his tatoo parlor. They explore old feelings and new ones. Kaswell writes with feeling and heart. You become a part of the story. Amazing!

Friends to Lovers dual point of view

Friends in high school have 1 night stand become co workers 7 years later. Her path to this point has emotional repercussions that impact them both.
Would have liked to see more of high school experience, wanted more about her current situation, and wanted to see more of his challenges addressed.
Liked the banter and the pairing.
From reading other Inked Hearts it’s not where I thought his character was going.

I really love Crystal's work. I've read and loved all her books and this one didn't disappoint either.

I love the series of Inked Hearts and all the characters. I did feel though that this particular story line moved a little too fast. History between the 2 gets covered, jumps straight to them meeting up and in a matter of weeks they're in love and happy ever after. Great characters and depth to them, they just moved really fast.

Dean! We have been waiting to hear his story. He was Chloe's first. That was seven years ago. They never talked again. She's the only one he ever thought twice about. Now she's back. Loved these two together. Dean isn't such a bad guy and Chloe doesn't take any crap off of him. Loved this story!

A sweet second chance/enemies to lovers story. Chloe and Dean both have their reasons for avoiding relationships, but it doesn’t stop them from wanting each other. I devoured this book in one sitting. I love the main characters, and the side characters. I definitely recommend this book

Dean was the sexy as sun man we all hoped (and dreamed about) that he’d be. He was sure and steady and sure showed me a good time. Just like the others in the series (please read those too!) the story is riveted and sexy and holds your attention perfectly. Definite read! I’ll be reading again soon! The story started intense, then lost me, for the most part, then saved it again at about 70%. WAY to much self reflection, inner angst, forced angst and boring monologue. It killed it for me. The ending was great, but I'd never have known if I was the type to DNF a book.

I fell in love with this book a few chapters in. The chemistry between Dean and Chloe is explosive! The story line is enough to make you want to never put it down and I couldn’t. Crystal did an excellent job once again, of course!! A must read for any romantic at heart!!

This story took me back to a similar time of health problems, and I believe the author has lived it through experience. I cried through a bunch of this story--and couldn't put it down. Crystal Kashell has made a quirky couple of people into a solid couple!

Chole has loved Dean for seven years since high school. Dean is a smart a** but he starts to open up his heart. It's a great book Crystal I think Dean might be my favorite Inked Hearts character now I really can't believe it myself but you changed me lol.

This.book.dragged for me. It was horribly predictable and towards the end I skimmed. Knowing there was only 10% left, it was a good gambling guess of what the outcome was going to be. This book came highly recommended. Just wasn't for me.

I enjoyed reading Dean & Chloe's story. Dean is an irritating full of himself jokester with a big heart and Chloe has been through so much in her young life. Together they reunite after he messed up with her in high school....

I typically only review books that didn't meet my expectations. Yet, this book went above and beyond what I was expecting. It sucked me into the whole series. Crystal Kaswell is an exceptional author and the books she put out are quite good and keep you in the story. I did note a few grammatical errors but not nearly as many compared to books I've read in the past. Over all the book it's great a must read in my opinion.

I love Dean. His personality makes this book so much fun. Chloe is a strong brave character. Their story was funny and emotional. With the first book I was sure Emma was going to be with Dean, but Chloe complements Dean a tee.

If you haven't read any of the Inked Hearts books, drop everything and jump on the band wagon because Crystal is a talented writer! Dean and Chloe love to 'hate' on each other and their chemistry is hot! Hating You, Loving You is a laugh out loud, sexy story where you just can't help but cheer for a HEA.

This is an amazing story! Sometimes high school friends don’t know that they were meant to be. Seven years later they find out that they belong together. This is by far my favorite from the Ink Hearts series!!

I loved Dean in all the books but now he is the Man I worship! This book rocked! Loved seeing him open up! The banter, the laughs and the holy hot, I need a smoke after sexy times! An absolute must read! Great Series!!

I enjoyed Tempting a while ago, but didn’t realize it was part of a stand-alone series. I picked this up just based on Crystal Kassel being the author, and I’m glad I did. I’ll be filling in the series by reading the other two.

The story and characters are good, but as someone who is heavily tattooed and spent lots of time working in tattoo shops so many tattooing details are just wrong. It’s a tattoo machine not a gun any legit tattooist wouldn’t call it a gun. Also an ink pad? It’s not a stamp. They typically don’t call it a temporary tattoo it’s an outline made with a thermofax most of the time.

I received an ARC. This is an honest review. I fell madly in love with Dean and Chloe’s story. Like all great stories, the couple hits snags and over comes them. Dean shows many sides of himself that you don’t see in the earlier books. He shows Chloe that he has truly changed and will be there no matter what.

Crystal Maxwell is my new favorite author! After staying up until 3 a.m. to finish reading "Hating You, Loving You" I immediately downloaded the other 3 available in the series, as well as the extended dialogue for each. I am rereading Dean's story now - he's my favorite character. This is one book recommendation that I'm really glad I took!

Five stars for another great read by Crystal Kaswell. I feel in love with all the characters from the very first book of the inked heart's series I read and she doesn't disappoint with the last book. Can't wait for Emma's story. And sincerely hope she continues to add new books and characters to this series and throw in a few cameo's from the guys from dangerous noise. But whatever she writes will always end up in my library.

I’m kind of living Dean right now! He’s a much deeper character than he initially let’s on and is the perfect match for Chloe! Great book! If you keep up with the Inked Hearts series, you can’t miss this one!

I absolutely loved Dean and Chloe's story. I liked that Chloe prompted a change in Dean and caused him to be inspired to do better. I liked that Chloe was fierced despite everything she went through. I also loved their dare game/competitiveness. It was really great book and I really enjoyed reading it. I actually read it more than once.

I am defiantly LOVING this one! Great addition to the Inked Hearts series, Dean is just as much of a character as his brothers and along with that personality is a smoking hot bod. If you love the Inked Heart boys before you're going to be obsessed with them once you meet Dean. Now if you'll excuse me I am going to go back and read all the Inked Heart books while I wait for Emma and Hunter.

Love love love!!! Every book Crystal writes gets better and better. Chloe and Dean are amazing and the perfect couple. This book made me cry laugh and smile! I love how the characters from the other books make appearances and we can catch up on them. Amazing book Crystyal can't wait for the next

I LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down once I started! Dean is soo swoon worthy! Forget everything you thought you knew about Dean because hes about to change everything. Dean turned out to be my favorite of all the Inked hearts boys.

Another great story from Crystal Kaswell. If you love a book fuld of love, fun and great characters you will love this book. It’s a part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

Great read! Dean is the ultimate bad boy we all secretly want. His story of falling in love made me both laugh tear up at the same time. He falls completely and shows by his support of Chloe how a bad boy can become a good man, but still keep his edge. Throughly enjoyed!

Such a great story...love all the Inked Heart series but this one may be my favorite! Dean is such a sweet guy which is a surprise even though we’ve seen peeks of it in prior stories, this one makes you fall in love with him! Can’t wait for next book in the series - will prolly go re-read starting with Tempting.

It's a great story, and definitely worth the read. Crystal's stories never fail to move me into laughing, or crying, depending on the scene and this is one of the best books yet!

Another awesome book in this series and by far my favorite. I’ve loved Dean’s relentless teasing through the other books and to find him challenged by Chloe was genius. The chemistry between Dean and Chloe was pure love/hate comedic genius. Definitely will come back to this one again and again.

For a character I found entertaining but not necessarily attractive at first, WOW did I love this book. Dean came through in ways I didn’t expect. Chloe was a strong heroine and so glad to read these two together. I don’t want the Inked Hearts series to ever end!

This isn't my favorite book in the series but it's still a must read. She does a great job of taking a character that you don't really like in the previous books and making him vulnerable and likable.

Great twists in this book and a wonderful story line. Nice to see the guy chase the girl! Entertaining and a page turner!
