Fury Frayed (Of Fates and Furies Book 1)

I loved this book. I have found the reading on this was quick and capturing. The details the author used and sequence of events kept me interested and unable to put down. I also loved her other series The Judgment of six. I can not wait for the next 2 releases.

Holy cow, Melissa Haag! Haag's writing is evolving with every book. She sucks you in with a new and fascinating world and characters that don't disappoint. Not to mention a hot new alpha male. Can't wait for Fury Focused!

I have read Judgement of Six and really enjoyed the series. After reading Fury Frayed I would have to say I enjoyed this book at least as much as the Judgement of Six. I can't wait for the next book!!!

I love when an author takes on a character that you rarely hear anything about. Furies are usually background characters. Yet low and behold we have one front and center. Every part of this story was awesome! Then that excerpt in the end from the JO6 series made me want to bawl. I'm so excited for this new world and the new characters that I have been introduced too. However I am depressed that I have to wait for the next book. I would love some more Oanen please!

Fury Frayed transports readers to a fascinating world, filled with magic mythology, chilling mystery, swoon worthy slow burn romance and so many different paranormal creatures. Each of the characters have unique and engaging personalities!

Megan is a sassy little spitfire with a wonderfully sarcastic sense of Humor. I truly love this girl!

Oanen is absolutely an Alpha Male! Pure awesomeness, brooding, protective and sweet with a devilish charm. I'm totally Team Gorgeous Griffin All The Way! ;)

The Chemistry between Megan & Oanen is yummalicious!

Eliana is an adorable doll, strong, fun and always has her friends back!

Fenris is an easy going jokester with a kind heart that will keep U laughing!

I'm dying to see what will happen next! Can't wait to get my hands on book 2!!! 5 Stars and Beyond!

I love a good, slightly dysfunctional heroine, and something about Megan makes her one of my favorites. She's strong, snarky, independent and all that, but still unsure and vulnerable enough to relate to. She's the girl I wanted to be when I grew up, quirks and all. Hell, even her internal dialogue is way cooler than what actually comes out of my mouth.

Also, no spoilers, but I LOOOOVE where this is headed, it's one of my favorite mythologies.

And then there's Oanen. OANEN. Dear LORD, I can't even with Oanen. I *may* have a small crush on Eliana, too. The supporting cast is strong with this one!

OMG!! New Series that I will just stalk!

I loved Ms Haag Judgement of the 6 (if you haven’t read it - do it now) but this! This just speaks to me. It’s amazingly well written with a story that simply swallows you whole with no intention of letting you go. The world she created has so much going on that it’s simply wow. And characters? Amazing! Thanks to them you can feel everything what they feel. That’s how good the writing is. You will be giggling, snorting, cursing and you will be upset. There is no doubt.

But go and read it.

I loved this book. Megan doesn't understand her constant anger and need to fight everyone and the her mom ditches her in some strange town. I loved Elaina, she was sweet and exactly the friend Meghan needs. Watching Megan learn about supernatural beings and that she is one too was interesting. I can't wait for book 2.

I love love loved this book. I love the new world melissa created. The judgement series was based on our world, this new world is creative and fun and definitely crazy!! I love how the story progressed and can’t wait for the next one!!

What a fun and interesting new world! Fury Frayed is such a unique book that I literally cannot compare it to any others! If you are looking for a new world with new creatures and all new characters, then you need to pick this book up. It has everything you can ask for. There is tons of action, a bit of mystery, and even a bit of romance. There will definitely be areas that shock you that is for sure!

Oh… Holy… Wow…. This book left me speechless. The plot of this book is so fresh and new that I was completely shocked by it. I don’t want to reveal too much so I will just say this. Our main heroine arrives to a new town and learns that everything might not be quite like it seems. Did that intrigue you enough? I sure hope so because if not you are missing out.

Megan is such a wonderful female character. She is strong and independent, but she also has some soft areas as well. I think she is exactly what we need in our female characters, especially for some of our younger readers. She stands up for what she believes is right and tries to learn from her mistakes. I like this about her. The other characters in the story are written well too. They all have a unique personality and purpose in the book. I really like how the author is able to create these characters this way.

There is a bit of flirty attraction in this book. Megan has two males who enter her life as she begins this journey in the new town. Each male has his own attributes that make him appealing for our Megan. Each have scenes in the book which makes the readers question what is going on between them. With that being said, by the end, there is a clear solution to this. There is a slow burn throughout the story between Megan and one of the boys that will leave the reader feeling satisfied.

I have always loved this author’s writing style, but she never ceases to amaze me. This book is a whole different world than anything else she has ever written. This book has new characters that are so beautifully written. The plot is unique that I can honestly say I have not read anything like it. I cannot wait to learn more about this world. The pace of this book is written steady and I think that the revelation of new information is perfect for the story.

Overall, I am in love with this new world. How long do I have to wait for the next one? Too long I believe! I need it now! I think it is safe to say that I would recommend this book to others. If you love paranormal books with a lot of action and mystery and a bit of romance, then this book is for you. There is nothing too racy in this book. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.

I could tell from page one that this was going to be an action-paced and amazing new series! I love a strong female heroine, and Megan is exactly that. She's dumped off, like so many others in this hideaway town, by her mother and left to fend for herself. She doesn't know what she's supposed to do or who she really is. But as she comes into contact with more characters, such as the sexy Oanen and Fenris, she starts to see where this is going, and the mystery begins to unfold.

I have come to the conclusion that the mind of this author is one of the most exciting places to live. The ideas she comes out with are beyond imagining, and I am thrilled every time she shares a new idea with us. This first book in the series is packed with characters who could fill several volumes, and I don't see it ending soon. I am looking forward with great anticipation to where they take us next.

Megan has an anger problem, she has since she was little. In fact she has gotten in trouble for her anger twice in the last week. It's bad enough that they packed up once again and left for a new town. They get to the new house, new town, and unpack. The next morning Megan awakes to an empty house. Her mom left her there by herself. And the people in this town just aren't human. Megan is on her own, and she not only has to figure out what she is, and how to control it, but humans are dying and it's up to her to find the murderer.
This is a great book, with an imaginative story line, done in a new way. I liked the main characters and felt like they were well-developed. This is a good, fun read, from an author that was new to me. I will be reading more from this author.

She is an angry young lady or is she? Is she even a lady? A fun and different read. Well worth the time and you will like all the characters or should I say creatures? This one plays around with human and non human relations and identities. Plus a little teen romance, but i a creative and original way.

Love the language and how the “normal” girl finds here self dumped in the middle of the supernatural world. I was completely sucked in to the story and found my self finishing in the early morning hours after reading al night.

What an awesome first book in a new series. It grabbed me at page one. I do did not want to put it down. This story has everything, suspense, mystery romance and everything else under the sun. Filled with twists and questions. The Che characters are amazing and the world is perfect. I absolutely love Megan and Oanen and every other character in the book. So many questions, I can't wait for book two.

This is a fantastic series opener by Melissa Haag! It’s great to see something so different from The Judgement series and this is already shaping up to be just as awesome. I loved Megan she’s a hilarious character full of sass and her anger issues make her interesting. The mysterious world she finds herself in is very exciting to read and I was totally hooked on the plot as it developed. This is a great YA novel for those who enjoy urban fantasy with a mythological feel. Cannot wait to see how this series develops ? 5 stars!!

I love love this book. I love all the characters and all the different kinds of creatures. I can't wait for the next book. Love the main character Megan, I feel like I can relate to her personality with the sarcastic, don't give a care attitude.

Great story about a young woman who just cannot quit punching people in the face. Her anger issues are off the clock. After punching a kid at her high school, her mother moves them to an isolated town housing a variety of supernatural, mythical creatures. After enrolling her in high school, Mommy Dearest deserts her without explanation leaving her to fend for herself. Luckily, the hottest guy in town and his "sister"befriend her. Megan has to deal with a very jealous and angry werewolf, an questionable sheriff and a life unlike anything she had ever imagined. Fun to read and well written.
