It just got a lot more interesting. I have yet to be disappointed with this series. Just when you think you know what you need to know, the author changes the game. The fact the Darren has the ability to possess both powers, something unheard of, is unique in itself. This book talks about the other group of the series, The Pushers, and how they really aren't that different from The Readers after all. And that history is the reason why one can't get along with the other. History and hearsay I think. People with these abilities grow up thinking one group is the evil one of the two but not really understanding why other than the stories passed down in their families from generation to generation. I was happy to find that this group wasn't really what The Readers claimed them to be. And more so that Darren was able to be accepted by not only his Reader friends but by his Pusher friends as well. The surprise after he meets with other Pushers, or Guides(what they call themselves) was very nice. I was very excited & happy when I was reading it. It's almost as if hope was restored that maybe something great will come out of all of this.

This book continues where the previous one left off and was pleased to find it to have a satisfying ending and yet also left the door open so you want to continue to follow the cast of characters. The concepts of mind-reading and time freezing, coupled with some action will appeal to a range of ages, including pre-teens and teens, although I would suggest for teens and up. There is some content that should be reserved for a slightly more mature audience, vs. say, pre-teens. This book is also written better than the prequel (Book 0). The storyline also felt more complete than Book 1 and I enjoyed this book more than Book 0 and Book 1. Others have left reviews about the storyline so I will not repeat what can be read elsewhere. The book is an easy read and keeps your interest. The story line is interesting and contains interesting sci-fi concepts/abilities many would like to have themselves.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved “The Thought readers” as story was solid, great character development, and great voicing for making this narrative come to life. The introduction of the pushers is great with a darker side promising more twists that keeps you listening for hours. The pushers as a whole different branch that has a bone to pick with the readers is an exceptional concept, which story keep flowing with more intense moments. The quiet has once again, proven to be a useful tool for keeping Darren alive and aware of the dangers surrounding his kind. Darren has went through a lot of transformations since the first story, but as always he’s just a quick-witted when faced with the overwhelming truths about his deceased parents and their linage to a secret society that’s hidden to the rest of the world. Darren and Mira’s complex relationship is both comical and grim which makes their encountering all the more appealing especially with Mira trying to kill Darren for various reasons. I am looking forward to listening the next installment in this unique series.

I read the First Book in the Mind Dimensions Series, The Thought Readers. The Thought Pushers: Mind Dimensions, Book 2 was a well written, and much anticipated sequel to what I must say, was a very good book.
The characters created by the authors are believable and delightful, and you will find yourself on the edge of your seat, wanting to find out what is going to occur next, routing for the good guy, dreading the bad guy, wanting more.
Once again the subject matter of the supernatural/preternatural, telepathy and mind reading just are cool to immerse yourself in, and although its an awesome subject matter, its easy to fall flat if you dont do things just right, if you try and take over someones head with the subject matter. This never did that., and that was something I appreciated as a fan.
I hope more is coming with this series, as it really deserves more treatment from the authors.

The story just got more depth and amaziness if that can happen, this series are getting to me and that's a good thing, I love them.
I can only say I think is purely genius how the plot is advancing and how it was constructed.
Poor Darren life seem to complicate more at the same time seems to be gaining so much happiness at the same time, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes that's for sure, or maybe, but I think he can make a difference.
Mira and Eugene are so cools, love those little punks and the new characters are so interesting too, at the beginning I thought the breach of hate to be unreachable but human nature have demonstrate the opposite and I like that a lot.
I hope to read some more of this series soon.

This serves as an amazing sequel to The Thought Readers. Fast paced and engaging, the story picks up immediately after the previous storyline ends.
There are still a lot of questions about Darren, despite being the main character. He gets a fun, nuanced portrayal that somehow matches his personality, perfectly. This I think is my favorite part of the writing.
While his powers are still being elaborated on, it does not bog the book down at all. We get more details on his family life as he himself learns of the secrets being kept. We also get to learn more about the world of readers and pushers.
In addition, there is more going on concerning the events from the first book, it makes you want to go back to find the pieces from Thought Readers that are falling into place now.
Two books in and I can not recommend this series enough.

The Thought Pushers continues where The Thought Readers left off. Darren has discovered a new talent, and a new faction. New friends, new enemies. And an exciting conclusion to Mira's quest to discover and dispatch her parents' murderer. This book had more plot twists than the prior two combined. It is well written, and pulls the reader in to the world of Readers (Leachers) and Guides (Pushers.)

Part two of the series brings us into the world of pushers - the other group of people who can visit the Mind Dimension. Instead of reading people's minds, as readers do, they have the ability to push people into doing whatever they want.
The following text contains spoilers for those who did not read the first book. Please read it first.
The story begins with Darren thinking about who he really is. It troubles him that he can read other people, but also can push them, which is unheard of.
He will soon meet a group of pushers, and he will find out how two groups became separated. This meeting will present us with a view that not everything is black or white, good or bad. I particularly liked this part because it can be projected to the real world, too.
With this new knowledge he will go back to his fellow readers. What follows is something you should read for yourself, since it is impossible to describe it without spoilers. I will just say that there will be quite a few unexpected twists, and the story will grab you and not let you go until you read all of it. Some of the scenes will literary make your heart jump.
I can definitely say that this is the strongest book in the series, at least from an action/thriller standpoint. I will eagerly wait for the next book in the series, especially since I have no idea where it could lead us from here.

This was an exciting book. The surprises were on point & unexpected. And if you read the reviews, there isn't any explicit romantic scenes or rape scenes in this book. There aren't any romantic type scenes in this book. That reviewer posted on the wrong book.

At the end of "The Thought Readers", I had so many questions. Darrens story unfolds so nice in this book. His discovery of what/who he actually is, this special world he's in made me stop breathing. I thought I knew what was going to happen but I got really surprised. I really did not expect that. In this book you get to know more about the Pushers, but also more about the Readers as well.
I really enjoyed Darren seeking out answers, the whole plot of the book and the narration. It seemed like there was more emotions in Roberto Scarlato's voice. It's a definite MUST read.

So far, this is the best book of this series. I was not expecting what happen in this book. It changes everything we learned from the first one and it just keep getting better and better.
Darren learns more about his family and also meet some Pushers who make him change how he sees the mind dimension. There are some plot twists in this book that I could stop listening to it and I still want to know more about Darren story.
The narrator is better than ever, all the characters have their own accents, you know who is talking by only listening to his voice. The book is already awesome to listening to but his narration make it even better.
Can wait to read the next one!!!

This was a great next book. Darren's progress is fun to learn. The characters are even more engaging. The new characters and "life story" had a nice depth. Well written. I like the short chapters and fast pace. Minor twists keep the plot interesting and moving. Very enjoyable.

The amazing story continues. Each book is better than the one before. It is just great how Dima Zales is building the story of her characters, how she intertwines their paths and making each of them complex and unique in their own way. I have read the first book as a courtesy to give my opinion but now I anticipate next one with excitement. The tense filled scenes make you read it in one breath. Definitely a good read that any sci-fi/fantasy reader should have on his bookshelf.

Book 2 - The Thought Pushers
Book 2 starts where we left off in book 1. We learn more about Darren, his powers as well as about the other side, the Pushers. We also get some answers about Darren's family (I suspected who/what they were a little bit before the truth came out) and to this mysterious 'pusher'. It also dives into the Darren-Mira relationship....and we learn that he has a relative! With that being said, I promised no spoilers so I won't tell you anything else aside for...it's not as it all seems and raises more questions while solving previous ones...
Yet again the story keeps you on your toes!

The Thought Pushers is one of those rare sequels which manage to match the quality of the original book and continue forging a new journey for the characters. Roberto Scarlato is a very good choice for the narrator and provides a great voice to an exciting story.
Dima Zales expands on Darren's journey, as he begins to start asking the questions which have been preoccupying him. All of this is happening while he continues to learn about a place called "the quiet" and avoiding trouble from people who are after him, as well as trying to keep on relatively good terms with Mira.

In the other three books that I have read, my complaint was that some things were just too predictable. That is absolutely not the case in this book. I wish I could tell you why I feel this way, but I would be giving spoilers and you definitely don't want them for this book. In some ways it took the direction I expected, but I was really surprised by a couple of curve balls that I didn't see coming. To me, that makes a fabulous combination.
I'm pleased to say that because of where this book left off, I don't know what to expect from the next book. But I am definitely looking forward to reading it.
I received this book at no charge in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
