Broken (Broken Trilogy Book 1)

I loved the book. It was easy to read and held my interest. What I did not like is when I went to down load the 2nd book in the 3 book series, the store Prime did not allow download unless you joined Kindle Unlimited. I felt deceived. Not cool.

Read this book in a day! I couldn't keep my hands off of it! Every time I put it down to get some work done all I could think about what would happen next! So unfortunately I got nothing done that day but man it was worth it!! I can't wait to get my hands on the next one! This is a must read!

I was intrigued by the plot and encouraged by the good reviews, thank goodness this book was free. I wanted to like this book, however, the author never truly develops the story, it's poorly written, there is no unfolding of the story it all just rushes forward, the dialogue is often ridiculous and/or cheesy, there is no real depth to the characters, and while I do enjoy a story which includes the POV of both main characters for some reason the author chose to write Cole's POV in the third person. Why? Is he royalty? Does he suffer from a dissociative problem? It was so awkward and frustrating to read Cole's POV I found myself needing to translate it to first person just to get through it. Love scenes....did I mention the book is poorly written? Stay away, your time is better spent doing almost anything else.

I hate cliffhangers.....I read the reviews and nobody really mentioned it ended in a cliffhanger, otherwise, I would not have read it. Sooooo, I'm here to make sure everyone knows there is a cliffhanger. Other than the fact that there is a cliffhanger and the fact that there are several areas where either the sentence was missing a word or a word was spell checked to a different word that was intended for the sentence.....making you have to figure out what it was supposed to say, the book was really good. I would love to know the outcome of the story but I refuse to HAVE to buy a book in order to do so, which is why I HATE cliffhangers......I feel like I wasted my time reading a book!

I don't know if it's me, that I'm not much of a reader, but when I do read it needs to be a good book. And this book.. wow I couldn't stop reading! If a book makes you laugh, cry, cringe & sigh; it's an AMAZING book. Can't wait to continue reading the trilogy.

This was a good book with lots of action and twists. You have a well rounded and strong hero and heroine. Passionate encounters, but not to over the top. Fair warning though, the ending is very abrupt. All in all, a good read.

This trilogy was AWESOME!!!! I was new to J.L. Drake's writing and I am hooked now! This trilogy was something that you couldn't put down. I was on vacation and read all 3.....that's how good it was. Thanks J.L.Drake for some great reads!

I just stayed up all night to finish the series. I have read all three books in less than 48 hours. I'm going to regret it in the morning but I couldn't stop and I want MORE!!! Please give me Keith & mark and all of the rest a story!!!!!!

So I have been looking for a book that sucks you. This book it sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. It does have a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book. I want to live with all the wonderful strong men in the book.

Wow!! I'm left speechless and of course wanting more. Broken had me on a roller coaster. Jodi's writing style never disappoints and always has me anticipated. I want to get to the next page and the next chapter. This was a great start to the trilogy. You won't be disappointed and its a must read!

I would tell everyone my age to read it. I love stories like this. The complicated romance. The suspense is heart racing. I love the sacrificing of the love a man has for a woman and now things can be good. I'm a hopeless romantic and I adore complex and sexual tension. Sue me lol

Suspenseful, surprising and romantic!! Dark but so filled with love it's not scary or detailed in violence although like everywhere you know it's there! Even a few racy sex scenes making the book well rounded:)

I thought the book had great potential to be excellent, and frankly enjoyed most of the storyline. However, after the main female character fainted or got sick the 3rd time, I got bored. She started out strong but turned into whiney school girl.

This is a book that has everything you love to read about. Intensity, drama, mystery, and of course lots of romance. You tend to fall in love with all the characters and appreciate their individual uniqueness. I have found a new favorite author and am looking forward to reading more.

Seriously amazing book! I was so sad it ended and I am desperate to read part two!
Savi was funny throughout the book, which was surprising because I usually don't find characters funny through writing for some reason.
Cole Logan... Oh my. I hope I fall for him even more in the second book.
Can't wait to see what's next!

I enjoyed discovering the dynamics of the characters. The unfolding of the plot was captivating and kept me wanting more. I can't wait for the second book, Shattered, because this one left me on the edge of my seat!

This is one of the best books, let alone trilogy, I have ever read. You fall in love with characters right away and are captured from the first line in. I couldn't put it down!!!! The ending killed me!!! Had to read the second and third right away......So GOOD!...

Simply amazing! J.L. Drake is THE author to be reading if you are looking for suspense, humor, and romance. Once I started Broken I couldn't put it down, now I have serious book hangover and can't wait to get my hands on Shattered, the second in the series due out in May.

I would have enjoyed it so much more if the language could have been less colorful. The cursing and the use of the word f__k was way over board. Just not my type of mystery when they have to swear for lack of an intelligent word.

This first book had me hooked and I could not wait to read the rest of the trilogy. It held my attention to the very end and then I had a book hangover for a few days with rarely happens with me. I loved it!

I can't believe how much I loved this book!!! I read it in one day because I literally couldn't put it down! I'm dying to read the second one in the trilogy!! I HIGHLY recommend this book, you will love it!

Too many typos in this entire trilogy. Unbelievable and amateurish. I honestly have never read anything with so many grammatical errors and missed spelled words, left out words. Enjoyed the story very much but typos were frustrating.
