I wish now I had saved some of the earlier books so I could re-read them. I've loved Sand's books forever, but this, along with a couple others just didn't cut it for me. I could barely get through it unfortunately. I guess she ran out of stories for the original Argeneau clan. Well, another favorite author bites the dust.

This book was the one that's been on my mind & made me want to re-read this series in the 1st place.
This is Alexandra Willan's story & if you remember her 2 other sisters have already met their immortal lifemate (Sam & Mortimer & Jo & Nicholas); Sam has been wanting to fix Alex up with some immortal when Cale showed up at the Enforcer house because Marguerite told him that he should meet Alex. Sam because she really wanted him to meet Alex told Alex that he was a good chef & could be Pierre's replacement. Cale hasn't eaten food for a very long time.
Cale is a very successful businessman in France & has come to Canada to visit the relatives after going to NY for a wedding. Cale is all for trying to see if he can read Alex but unsure as to whether or not he can pull off the cooking part of this gig. But, when Cale meets Alex & realizes that he can't read her he tries his best & gets Leigh & Marguerite to help.
There are many attempts at sabotaging Alex's attempt to open a 2nd restaurant but Cale helps out in the end & he also puts 2 & 2 together & discovers who has been sabotaging Alex. There are lots of sex scenes in this book, some romance, some scary parts for Alex but this book was very good especially the parts that I remembered. I'm now off to read the next book in this series.

This might be the funniest and most entertaining of the series! I am such a sucker for a good romance (with a healthy dose of smut) and this was just perfection!
Cale is someone we haven’t met yet (I don’t think) so he was a bit of a blank slate. Sure, we get the usual cast of characters from the Argeneau family, but it is mostly Cale and Alex. Alex is one of the famous sisters that the Argeneau family is determined to find mates for. While it worked out OK for Jo, there is some doubt that anyone will respond to Alex… and it’s giving her a bit of a complex. Who wouldn’t be bothered by people staring at her forehead and walking away quickly after each introduction? Cale, it appears, it the exception to this rule.
On a night when her restaurant is falling apart, Alex’s sister lies to her and introduces Cale as a master chef from France. He probably wouldn’t have gone along with the lie for very long, except that he can’t read Alex, proving that she’s his life mate. Some mind control of the guests and some favors from the other chef he knows and Cale appears to be doing OK. Alex, however, is still suffering from a bought of bad luck. Her new restaurant has had all sorts of problems in the renovation. This might not be good for Alex, but it gave Cale the entrance he needed into her life – as her business manager.
These two were fun, sizzling hot, and the perfect balance. Its books like these that remind me I need to take a break from the serious to let myself enjoy a somewhat silly read (e.g. vampires from Atlantis). Bring on more of the Argeneau clan!

Alex Willan is attempting to open a new restaurant but nothing seems to be going right for the oldest Willan sister. From electrical fires to wrong carpet, tile and paint Alex doesn't know if she'll open up her restaurant or go bankrupt first. Her latest problem has her scrambling to find a new head chef after her competitor draws him away with a promise of more money. While on the phone with her sister Sam who called to tell her about another man who Alex must meet, Alex tells her sister her problem and learns she has the solution. The man who Sam wants her to meet just so happens to be a chef from Europe.
Cale Valens was under the impression that his aunt Marguerite wanted him to visit Canada to spend time with the family but her real reason for luring him from Europe was to meet Alex. She believes Alex is Cale's life mate. Having waited his whole life to meet his destined female, Cale agrees to be Alex's chef. One problem. Cale hasn't eaten or cooked food in two thousand years but he will do anything to stay close to Alex. As Cale starts to look into the real reason for Alex's run of bad luck, he will also need to quickly learn how to cook. That is after he learns how to turn on the stove and find out exactly what a spatula is.
Alex is a driven, intelligent woman who just wants to open up her new restaurant but has run into one problem after another. She didn't think she would find her solution in one of the men her sister thinks she should meet. Cale is gorgeous, smart, funny and a great employee and Alex does her best to keep their relationship strictly professional. After a very erotic dream Alex can no longer keep her hands off of him and soon realizes she has lost more than her self control but also her heart. I applaud Alex's restraint because there is no way I could have kept my hands off of Cale. He is everything you'd want and more in a man. What has her holding back is a bad relationship that left her with a broken heart. I couldn't help but feel for her over this and I was glad that Cale held back and took his time with Alex. He was also a lot more honest and upfront with Alex than a lot of the other male vampires were when they found their human mates. He was everything Alex needed him to be. Alex in turn filled a void in Cale's life that most immortals feel after living so long. They were a great couple because you know they love each other without it being shoved in your face.
Figuring out why Alex was having such bad luck with opening her new restaurant was pretty easy to figure out early on but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. Alex and Cale are a sweet and sexy couple. I'm glad for them but I'm also glad for Alex's sister Sam because she has introduced her sisters to every immortal male she came across in hopes they too would be mates like her and Mortimer (their story can be found in The Rogue Hunter). One of my favorites Justin Bricker is back and just as hilarious as ever. I know I said this in my review for Born To Bite but I really hope this man gets a book. I'd love to read more of him. I really liked Hungry For You because it had the same feel as the earlier book in the Argeneau series that the last few books have been missing. It was light and funny with a romance that is perfect for paranormal lovers. I think fans who have been with this series since the beginning will like the latest installment.

Hungry for You by Lynsay Sands is the 14th novel in this exciting series. Vampires rule. I love these guys. Especially, the Argeneau Vampires. Both the men and their ladies are sweet. Tough, independent, stubborn and a good looking group. Each one has his and her own fear to get over as well as letting the risk of falling in love with each other. Family members add in to the humor and make the moments even more engaging. I was hooked. Hot sexy scenes, danger, and love all in one stunning book. I cannot wait to read the next book!

I'm very happy to see all our Wllan girls finding potential life mates! Cale finds himself pretending to be a master chef when it means he gets the chance to meet his life mate. Little did he know he wasn't going to actually get to spend any time with her. Alex is running around like a crazy woman trying to open her second restaurant and nothing is going as planned. Constant mix-ups and wrong deliveries have drained her bank account and left her at the end of her rope. Cale comes along at just the right time and things seem to be looking up. Cale and Alex will soon discover their is more to these mix-ups and he may have to fight harder than he thought to gain his new life mate.

I am a "food & fiction" writer, a true "foodie", and also a fan of romantic vampire reads. With great relish, I sank my teeth into "Hungry For You", by Lynsay Sands, and I enjoyed each and every delicious, decadent bite! Alexandra Willan is a talented chef trying to get her restaurant up and running while being plagued with business mishaps. Her love life is also unlucky, and her two sisters determine that she needs to find happiness just as they have with a hunky immortal of her very own. Marguerite Argeneau, an immortal and irrepressible matchmaking matriarch, decides that Alex is the perfect woman for her son Cale. Having lived a very long life without his true mate, Cale finds himself drawn into the matchmaking scheme. Just one hitch: Alex doesn't know that her sisters' mates are immortals, and that the sisters have been "turned" by their mates. Cale comes into Alex's life by pretending to be just what she needs, a master chef. Quite a feat to pull off for someone who hasn't eaten real food in two thousand years, and who is sickened by the sight and smell of food and cooking! Once he meets Alex, Cale is smitten, and he follows the course of his longing heart and sets out to win and woo his lady. I love, love, love the humor which is Lynsay Sands' trademark! Cale's initial repulsion by food and then his eventual reversion to one who savors each sweet and spicy morsel which passes his lips is delightful fun. Even more entertaining is what he endures to be close to Alex and make her see that he is the man for her, even if it takes a lot of coaxing and convincing on his part. "Hungry For You" is fun, sexy, sweet and satisfying--the perfect dish!

Someone has been trying to sabotage Alex Willan's grand opening of her restaurant. Nothing had been going the way it was suppose to. Jobs not being completed due to wrong materials or they were installed wrong, electrical fires, and her head chef quitting without notice- to go work for her competitor. She just didn't have time for her sister to meddle in her love life...or lack of it. But, when Sam informed her that the man she wanted Alex to meet was a chef coming from Europe, Alex agreed to the meeting.
Cale Valens only agreed to meet Alex as a favor to Marguerite. She believed he and Alex were destined to be life mates. When he mentioned that little tibit to Sam, she was instantly excited and immediately arranged a meeting. Calen didn't know where Sam got the idea to lie to her sister about him being a chef, especially since the smell of food irritated him and he hadn't eaten or cooked in about two thousand years. But, when he discovered that he couldn't read Alex's mind and that she was indeed destined to be his life mate, he decided to fake it. That is of course with Bricker's help. Between the two of them, they manage to pull off the illusion long enough for Alex to discover that Cale was more suited for the business end of the restaurant, which eventually worked out better. Cale saw to the workers and the suppliers and she did what she loved best....cook.
I really enjoyed Alex's character...although, I confess I think she might have been a bit too career oriented for my liking. I understood her passion, motivation and determination...but there were moments where it all felt forced. I also enjoyed Cale's character. While Alex was a dreamer and creative, Cale was practical and political. He made a great businessman. I also loved that he was intelligent, but he also seemed innocent when it came to relationships and although he was ancient, he still had alot to learn. I liked that vulnerability about him. The chemistry between Alex and Cale was undeniable ...that was when Alex actually relaxed a little and went with it. When Alex discovered Cale's secret, she acted completely different than I expected she would. Frankly, it pissed me off. But, then I kinda giggled over her trying to rescue Sam for a moment, then went back to being pissed at her.
The supporting characters are always great in this series. Each book adds layers of depth and personality to each of them. I love when they get together, it always feels like a family reunion. It was nice to see the Willan Sisters come together again. I absolutely love Bricker. He has always held my curiosity. I love his wit, charm and talent for stating the obvious. He reminds me alot of Thomas. I can't wait until he gets his own story. Marguerite is classy as always.
Overall, this is a classic Lynsay Sands book. Like the other books in this series, it doesn't focus so much on the plot, it centers more around the members of the Argeneau family and their friends. Hungry For You is light-hearted, fun loving, and a sexy read.

Argeneau bites back! Hungry For You is book 15 in the Argeneau Immortals series and is a solid installment. Dangerously funny and sexy as hell...the vampires have still got it goin' on!
Cale Valens isn't just old...he's ancient. Being a lonely Immortal for more centuries than he cares to remember, he fears he will never find his life mate. When a family member encourages him to meet single chef Alexandra Willan, sister to Mortier's life mate Sam, he feels he has nothing to loose. The timing seems perfect too. Alex has just lost her key chef and Sam volunteers Cale to take the job even though he detests food and hasn't cook since...forever. He's reluctant, but when he arrives and discovers Alex actually is his life mate everything changes for him from that moment on. Little does Alex know, but this hunky new chef is going to change her life in more ways than she can imagine.
I have no clue how Sands does it, but she has written another Argeneau novel that was a delight to read. The lightness and fun of these novels is what really drags me in. They aren't overwhelmingly descriptive. They don't go on and on about the color of the ceilings or the way the character makes a sandwich. It's simple and to the point, giving the reader all the details in a nice neat package. You just go where the story takes you.
We all know vampire series have their own rules, but Sands' rules are so much fun! I love how the Immortals can instantly know whether or not this person is their mate. I also enjoy the history of their group and their weaknesses and the `vampire police.' It's all great. The cast of characters in this series is starting to become a little overwhelming, but it's an easy pill to swallow when the books still keep up with the quality of the previous release.
Cale was an awesome hero. He was patient, kind and caring with Alex while he was going through hell battling his instincts to simply claim her for him own. Instead, he courts her, hoping she will fall in love with him. Simply...he's pretty damn cool. Alex was a little high strung and uber focused on her new restaurant, which was expected, but a little annoying. But I loved her `just go with it' attitude. She would never sit down and wail and cry. She just took the punches as the came and dealt with it. She would make life altering decisions in mere moments. It was funny and a delight to read.
You can't really go wrong with this series. Yes, they are somewhat predictable...yes, the books are similar in nature, but they are too much fun to quite reading. I remember laughing like crazy in one of the earlier novels because one of the Immortals was afraid of blood! How unique is that?! Then to have Cale forced to become a chef when he can't even stand the smell of food?!?! Hilarious! Not to mention a certain chapter in which Alex gets involved in some very scary business that involves a wooden spoon and aluminum foil. I was laughing so hard, I started crying. Sands has done a wonderful job with this series and I cannot wait for the next installment!

Ms. Sands has done it again and given her readers and fans another winner of a romance.
For readers who have been following the series, they know that Aunt Marguerite has an uncanny knack for setting up hapless and unsuspecting immortals with their equally unsuspecting future mates and then sits back to watch the sparks fly. Sometimes Marguerite outdoes herself and I think Hungry For You qualifies as one of her best matches to date.
Cale, whose very name caused a smile or two once he met Alex, is adorable. He's gruff, filled with ennui and happy with that fact. He has no interest in humans - at least that's his story and he's sticking to it. What a reader eventually realizes is that Cale is no different than the other immortals. He too yearns to find the love of his life but doesn't believe it's really going to happen. How sweet it was to have him get his happily ever after. What is even better is how much fun a reader has watching him bumble his way through it.
Enter Bricker. Honest, Ms. Sands had me in stitches with what Bricker said and did to poor Cale. I mean, talk about set up. Bricker's sense of humor and mischievous antics are off the charts as he plays backup matchmaker to Marguerite. I laughed so many times from his dialogue and character input, it was great. His idea about the van was giggle worthy especially considering what actually happened and Cale's response. I'm still laughing.
Alex is the sister of Sam, the one who mated with Mortimer. Sam wants her sisters to be happy and to that end, it means Alex needs to be mated to an immortal too. I loved how Alex explained "the look". That whole internal dialogue scene made me smile. I liked Alex a lot. I liked her dedication and her full belief that people were inherently good and of course, that's key to the plot and to the villain. I sort of had an idea what was going on to poor Alex but I never would have guessed as to whom. Meanwhile, she has to contend with Cale's knight in corporate armor to help save the day and her restaurant. I enjoyed her slow tumble into passion and trust and thought it hysterical that a famous chef showed up to save the day. I don't think Ms. Sands has ever done a pseudo-cameo like that before and I found it really cool.
When Cale and Alex finally overcome the initial hurdles to their getting together, the sparks fly and the heat soars and readers get treated to some very hot and passionate clinches. I enjoyed their enthusiasm.
All's not whipped cream and chocolate however. There is a villain. There is strife and doubts and worries that plague and torment both hero and heroine both internal and external. Ms. Sands brings just enough light suspense and drama to keep a reader gripped by the story and its effect on Alex and Cale which in turn kept me turning the pages swiftly. The dialogue has the Sands/Argeneau brand that I look forward to and which is evident in spectacular fashion. One of the best aspects of this series is when Ms. Sands includes the family in all their helpful, intrusive and loving glory. Whether providing the soon to be lovebirds incentive to be together or defending them against an unknown foe, the Argeneau clan is a force to be reckoned with and, as usual, enhances my enjoyment tremendously. Wait until you get to the part when one of my favorite secondary characters shouts out about it `raining clothes'. I love that guy. I can't wait until Ms. Sands makes him dance to the tune of love too. Oh! And then there's the part when the sisters get together and do a toast. I think readers are going to enjoy that whole scene. What an upper and it too made me smile.
Hungry For You is a sensational and very spicy adventure of love, Argeneau style sure to thrill fans of Ms. Sands. It has everything a reader looks for; the family love and annoyance, the thrill of discovery and passion that follows, a villain with a twisted mind, an alpha man who can't cook a trout and a woman who finally finds the love of her life. I had the best time reading this story and couldn't wait to share it with fellow readers. Need a reason to smile? Read Hungry For You.

I am a HUGE fan of Lynsay Sands. She is an auto buy for me no matter what the story is about. In the latest installment in the Argeneau series, we are introduced to Cale and Alex.
We have met Alex in previous books. She is the sister to Jo and Sam Willan. While those two have already found their life mates in previous books, I was waiting on pins and needles to see who the author would pair chef and restaurant owner Alex with. While Cale is no Chef, the author made sure to fit Alex with him as a balance. Cale is a business man and hasn't cooked in over a thousand years if not more. When he finds out that Alex is his life mate though, he does try to cook and woo her at the same time.
Alex hires Cale as her project/business manager since she would rather be head chef at her restaurant then handle the paperwork. Cale is happy to oblige, and Alex finds their growing attraction hard to resist. When they share some sexy dreams, Alex finds her wall of defense crumbling.
I must say that after certain scenes in the book, I will never look at a microwave again without laughing out loud! While I loved the characters of Cale and Alex, my favorite had to be Bricker again for saving the day when Cale found himself messing something up. Bricker trying to teach Cale how to use a microwave and how to cook was hilarious. Ms. Sands never fails with the witty and fun writing that also has the sexy romance we crave. She balances it perfectly and the writing is phenomenal! While the story ended in a bit of a rush, I still was very satisfied with the book. The author also explains things to where if this is the first book you pick up and read, everything is explained without having to read the prior books.
Another fantastic read that quenched my thirst for paranormal romance! Bravo Ms. Sands for another outstanding read in the series.

Hungry For You by Lynsay Sands is another delightful story about the Argeneau clan.
Alexandra Willan is at the end of her rope. She has one successful restaurant going strong and on her way to opening another when her head chef quits. Her sister recommends a highly trained chef by the name of Cale Valens who just happens to be visiting. Alex is willing to give Cale a try.
Cale Valens is a thriving businessman in Europe but being an old vampire has caused him not enjoy life much any more. Cale agrees to visit extended family members and somehow gets roped into pretending to be a master chef. Cale's much loved Aunt Marguerite is convinced that Alex Willan is Cale's life mate. One meeting with Alex has Cale knowing Alex is the only woman for him. Now to convince Alex of this fact.
Alex quickly discovers that Cale is more of a business manager then chef and agrees to let him take over management of the restaurants so she can concentrate on her first love cooking. Alex struggles to keep their relationship simply professional but Cale has that special something that makes her blood sizzle. Their sexual chemistry is something Alex had no idea even existed and she has never been happier.
Even though their professional and personally relationship is going smoothly someone is out their trying to destroy all the Alex has achieved.
But will the truth about Cale destroy them both?
Hungry For You is a fast paced, sexy read about those Argeneau clan members. Each book in this series is a keeper and I look forward to each and every one.

This is another in the continuing story of the Argeneau family. There have been so many books in this particular series that I was wondering about which Argeneau was still single. It turns out that the single vampire is Cale Valens, nephew to the matriarch of the family, Marguerite Argeneau. Cale Valens has never met his life mate and Marguerite is positive she has found the woman for him - Alexandra Willan, sister to Samantha and Jo Willan, both mortals who have hooked up with Argeneau men in previous installments of the series. From the very beginning of the book we know that Alex and Cale are life mates - the story is more about how Cale goes about courting Alex and winning her over. Although her sisters Samantha and Jo are already part of the Argeneau family, Alex doesn't know anything about their vamp existance. She is a top chef, and Cale volunteers to help her business as her business manager. They become friends, and eventually... well, these books have no surprises. You can expect a happy ending. I was actually pleased with this book because it really concentrates on the story of Cale and Alex and is actually quite light when it comes to the steamy romance scenes; it felt like these two really got to know one another and their eventual partnership was icing on the cake. It was good and Bricker had a very major part in the book - who knows, maybe he'll be next.

Lynsay Sands is and has been for years, one of my favorite authors. As with most of her books, and what I guess I like most, is the humor she brings to her stories. If you like vampire books with humor, great characters, hot romance and just a great read, you will enjoy "Hungry For You". Give it a try! You will be glad you did!!

This book series is one of my all time favorites. I just know every time I open up one of the books that I'm in for a mix of love, laughs and mystery.
Hungry for you is the latest in the Argeneau Series (which I'm a little late to be reading/reviewing since it came out in Nov) and is true to format.
Marquerite is up to her old tricks.. hooking up members of her family with Lifemates. This time her eyes are set on the last single Wheelan sister, Alex.
Alex is in the midst of opening up her second restaurant when a case of bad luck nearly derails her plans. Fortunately for her Cale appears and works to save her restaurant and her life as an unknown assailant, believed to be behind her string of recent bad luck, attempts to kill her.
Cale is in for the fight of his life, for both Alex and himself.
I don't want to give away too many details because this is one of those few series that I recommend you read and believe you will enjoy. So make sure you pick it up!

This was a great addition to the Argeneau Vampire series. It was right on target as a humorous love story that has a paranormal element thrown in. This is the last of the books about the 3 sisters. Each of the previous 2 books in the series were about the other 2 sisters finding their lifemates, and now it is Alex's turn!
I really think I enjoyed this book more than the other in the series because the characters took the time to actually fall in love before the whole lifemate part of the equation came into affect. It was nice seeing the human character allow herself to open up and fall in love slowly, instead of being rushed into it.
I really love that while each book centers around a different set of main characters you still get a peep into the lives of the past books MC and get to see how their lives are progressing.
While this isn't one of my favorite series, it's a nice break to have this lighthearted and quirky series thrown into the mix every now and then.

This was one the more humorous Argeneau books. I loved it. If you have read other books, you'll know they can have bouts of humor, but this one was very tongue in cheek all the way through and totally enjoyable. From the start where Cale was supposed to be a Cordon Bleu chef, even though he hadn't eaten human food for 2000 years, to later when Alex tried tin foil to prevent mind control, it kept me in stitches.

I first started reading the Argenueau series, after I saw New Moon last year with my daughter, while I couldn't force myself to read the Twilight books, only because I don't like to read 1st person stories, I loved the Twilight movies, thus I starting looking for contemporary adult vampire romances. I FELL in LOVE with the Argeneaus and bought every book out at the time and have kept up since, I enjoyed Born to Bite, but not as much as this one. I think part of it has to do with I love the stories where the female mortal falls in love with the immortal male, I am not as crazy about stories with 2 immortals falling in love.
I can't wait until Justin's story and still wondering what will ever happen with Jeanne Louise.
Of course we get to see Lucien's grumpy, loveable self in top form in Hungry for You!
Definitely on of my favorite Argeneau Books.

Marguerite Argeneau has the uncanny skill of pairing off life mates. Her ability sends family member immortal Cale Valens to Canada to meet his fated intended Alex Willan. At the same time, Alex's sister Sam still refuses to change until both of her sisters (Jo Willan since has found Nicholas in The Renegade Hunter) find their immortal mates as she has with Garret Mortimer (see The Rogue Hunter). She has hopes her sibling Alex and Cale are the final pairing of mortal sisters to immortal caring hunks. Mortomer's aide Bricker learning Marguerite sent Cale says his bachelor days are over.
Cale quickly learns his Alex is ignorant that vampires exist. He obtains a position as a chef in her restaurant, but there is one minor problem; Cale can't cook so is fired. However, an unknown adversary goes to incredible lengths to prevent Alex from opening her second restaurant. Cale assisted by the Argeneau brood protect Alex.
The entertaining finish to the Willan sisters is a fun Argeneau-Hunter vampire romance. Filled with humor from the onset with the Olive Oyl - Jessica Rabbit comic gender debate and with a terrific casualness re vampirism when Bricker welcomes Cale to Canada with one bag or two, fans will enjoy this entry. The suspense takes a back seat to the chef who can't boil water without burning it and the restaurateur falling in love but after waiting for an eternity for his lifemate, he must show patience he does not have. Fans of the urban fantasy saga will appreciate the latest romantic thriller.

Cale Valens has pretty much given up on finding a lifemate. But his family is sure they've found the woman for him. All that it requires is a small lie. Alexandra Willan's chef has just quit without notice, so when her sister sends Cale and says that he's a chef, she can't believe her luck! The only problem is Cale can't cook and although he's realized that his family was right, Alexandra is the one he has been waiting for, he's pretty sure that ruining her restaurant is not the way to start out their relationship.
Fun, sexy and just a plain old good time, Hungry for You is another winner in Lynsay Sand's Argeneau series. Long time readers of the Argeneau books won't be disappointed and new readers will discover a treat. Hungry for You is truly a must-be-read addition to vampire lovers' bookshelves!

It was a wonderful read. It had suspense, family concern and a man trying to win the one for him.
Family concern come in as Alexandra Willan is the last sister who has not found a life mate if she does not she will be cut out of their lives forever. Marguerite our resident nosy matchmaker and her sister Sam are not about to let that happen.
Suspense is up for grabs. Why are all manner of things going wrong lately?
Now there is Cale Valens in the picture. He was sent by Marguerite to see if Alexandra is his life mate. Marguerite is never wrong.
But how to win a woman when she is constantly busy with projects, Cale wins because of his persistence and his concern for Alexandra safety. It is he who finally succeeds in finding out the mysteries that occur in Alexandra's life.

At over 2000 years old Cale thought he would never know the treasure of having a life mate. Alexandra, a workaholic had no time for a man in her life, certainly not one she just hired and has to keep a professional working relationship with. And that is when the fun stars. Of course the immortal Bricker is there keeping everything even more amusing, and the little mystery Sands has in her books is there as well.
This was a really good book that I highly recommend, which I know I say a lot about Linsay Sands novels, but she keeps writing great books. Hungry For You is just another hit in her collection.

All the Argeneau books are fairly similar; this one was no different. With that said, it really was a good, nice, light read -- lots of silly parts, a little suspense, the promise of a happy ending. My major complaint is the whole idea that Margarite can almost 'magically' find the perfect life mate for a guy whose been searching the world for over 2000 years for one -- really? Over 2000 years?!? I mean, come on -- I know the book is about immortal vampire people and rediculously unbelievable in so many ways, but her dead on matchmaking skill are just too far out there. Also, the sex scenes went on F O R E V E R. About halfway through the first one I finally gave up and skimmed until I got to the parts where they were talking again, and skimmed through all the rest. Anyway, would I recommend this book -- yes.

The Argeneau family seem to get more interesting with each book romance. Surprise Alex thinks her sisters husbands are still in the band they made up when they first met rather than being told a part truth like being bounty hunters or something. A great story that I can relate to since my own parents had one restraunt and opened a second themselves. In this story some one is trying to bury Alex's business or even Alex herself for good. Everything that can go wrong does until her sister Samantha tries to set Alex up with Cale Areneau. Unfortunately Alex doesn't mix business with pleasure and Cale is just the business man she been looking to get her out of the pickle she's in. May take whole Areneau family to make Alex see that the two are meant for one another.

I was so happy to finally have the last Willan sister find love. Alex was the oldest and most independent and I knew I would love her story. I love having re-appearences from past characters and was happy to have Mortimer and Sam back, still human but not for long :) Cale Valen's, Alex's life mate is Marine's son and I was anxious to get his backstory since I knew he had lost most of his brother's and father in battle. I really liked Cale's character, he was in control and level headed and in walks Alex, complete opposites but able to even eachother out. Bricker is always a joy for me, I love his character and look forward to him popping up in every book I read. Good read and can't wait for more from Lynsay Sands

This book had its good and bad points. First off, a 2000 year old immortal (they don't like to be called vampires) who has not cooked in centuries, can not stand the smell or taste of food and usually goes out of his way to avoid it, is not only set up with but a restaurant owner but is hired to be a chef (did I mention he can't cook, much less can turn on a stove or work a microwave?). I laughed through the whole thing, including Cale trying to use the microwave and Alex trying to slay a vampire with a wooden spoon.
On the flip side, this couple didn't seem to have much chemistry and the whole family had to get them together in one fashion or another, including one immortal rearranging Alex's emotions (seemed like a cop out to me). In the end, the couple did not seem to be genuinely in love, more like `we're life mates? Ok'.
Over all this book kept me laughing, and that in itself was worth the read.

This book was sooooo boring!
I literally took me a week of trying to read what I could. I have never taken this long to read a book before.
Cale & Alex weren't a very memorable couple. There were a few humor filled moments, but it's was a very strained humor. The relationship between Alex and Cale seemed to take forever to get to, and even then Alex seemed determined to keep her distance no matter her feelings.
I'm starting to think this series is just going to continue downhill from here and become more predictable than a fun curious read.

This book is just as good as the earlier books in the Argeneau series. I love Lynsay Sands series but lately her books didn't have as much depth, humor, and good storey lines to hold the attention, but this book is great. Wonderful characters and a good story and I loved the humor in her characters. Loved this book!!

When there is over 4 pages on using a microwave..makes you wonder if the author is running out of imagination. I've read many books and will give the good books a high rating, but I had to rate this one low. It was a slow read and I caught myself yawning quite a bit while reading this story.

A career-minded chef and owner of a successful restaurant ends up being one of those Duh-I-Just-Didn't-Think-About-It heroines. Although not a too-stupid-too-live heroine, Alex's actions were far more frustrating. The action of the heroine and hero come across as contrived and their coming together as a couple forced. The overall feeling was a lack of chemistry between Alex and Cale. Overall, Hungry for You was a disappointing read.

Of the Argeneau Series, this is not the best but it was very funny at times. It lacked the chemistry as some have commented and some of the scenes are predictable but after however many she's written, the Argeneau's are still going strong. I'll keep buying them as long as she writes them.

I didn't like any of these characters except the female lead until the end when even she lost me. These immortal people don't like mortals. Why would they when they can control them completely. They are just there to serve them. And they do control them like cattle that do there bidding. The author tries to make them seem like they are not bad people but lets face it. When you can control people as much as these immortals can, they have slavery down pat. Want a servant, sex slave, or business deal just mind control someone into being what you need. I didn't understand, with the amount of manipulation they did, why the author even pretends to give these women any decision anyway. There was no love or romance to the story at all. It was all rather sickening.
**** Spoilers *****
First they mind rape her to hire Cale as her chef, then they mind rape her to hire him as project manager, then Cale gets into her mind with sex dreams, then again when she is starting to be cautious they mind rape her to take away her fears. Then at the end after this woman leads her around like a dog they tell her she must immediately make a decision to become one of them. What decision? She has already been mind raped. And my big question, why even pretend to let her make a decision. Mind control her and you're done.
