Starts out fun...but

After a while it just sounds like the author is ranting

Yelling

Telling us to get our sht together

Takeaway: Any sort of motivational or comedic effect the author is intending wears off quickly

This book is awful. As a disclaimer, I am a very positive person in general and like to think you can learn something from every book. I tried, and tried with this book. Nope. Her breakthrough tips are things like "make a to do list and then prioritize the list". Sometimes, reading common sense in a different way can be helpful. But this is just so basic. She seems to get off on using swear words as much as possible. It's like she went through and edited the book and replaced normal words with swear words just to get the count up. She also must think all her little side references and jokes are so cute. They might be if there was any substance to the book, but there's not.

My biggest complaint was the constant self-promotion of her previous book. It also felt a bit redundant - it's basically the same 3 steps for each area she covered. The three steps she suggests are not terrible, it's just a bit simplistic.

I don't consider myself a self-help book kind of gal, but I apparently am when Sarah Knight writes them. Her advice is both humorous and to the point and left me feeling like I'm not doing as bad at this game called life as I thought. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a swift kick in the pants and appreciates a well-placed four-letter word.

So I learned about this author after watching her Ted Talk about Not Giving A Fu@k. I now realize that o give too many Fu@k’s and my sh!t ain’t together. This book is in your face about getting rid of stuff you don’t need (in your life and mind) and getting to the business of living your best life. Just what I needed to help my complete this dissertation...

I truly loved this book. I erroneously thought initially that her books were pure satire, and was pleasantly surprised to find helpful tips that I could use to get the parts of my life I'm unhappy with sorted out. But I was laughing so much I almost forgot I was learning anything. I most definitely recommend it.

I loved this approach to getting your sh1t together. It offered steps and considerations that were approachable and relevant to me. I found the discussion of prioritizing and time management especially helpful.

This book is an easy read. It was funny and had some simple steps to improving your life. On the other hand, half the stuff I think you could find through a quick google search and there are too many outdated references. Also, the political snide remarks were a little much.

This book does not contain any useful advice and I did not find it interesting or humorous either. It was a waste of time. Some of the advise is bad. I borrowed the audio book from my library because it was listed as a popular book.

I enjoyed parts of this books and found it helpful. I also don't mind the profanity at all. But there is an incessant attempt at comedy with pop culture drops and other "cool" inserts that are just too frequent and come off as trying too hard. She is trying to be sassy and clever but it gets old about 70 pages in.

I am an avid reader and I couldn't get through this book. I have been reading a great deal of self development books.
My last book I read was "Girl wash your face" that book was so well written. However, I was extremely disappointed
With this authors suggestions. I found very few things applicable to me. I am sure
This book will appeal to her fan base but if your interested in obtaining insightful guidance
This book will fall short. I will say she kept me engaged due to her comical banter
Which is fine I wanted a bit of light hearted no nonsense in your face insight. I just felt like
This is information we all know. So for me I was highly disappointed. I'm hoping for a refund.

This book was a refreshing reminder that we all have literal and figurative sh*t in our lives and sometimes we need do remember that there are ways to tackle it. Sarah's honest words have really made me stop in my tracks and realize that there are ways around things, and stop making excuses for them. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who needs a kick in the butt about prioritizing and organizing daily living. It is not a read for people who are more "sensitive" as she tells you in the introduction the word "sh*t" is used 300+ times. Thank you Sarah for putting this out for me to realize that if you really want something, make it happen!

This easy read was like a real-life conversation with that one friend who doesn't sugar coat anything. Very well written and provides a lot of valid points about why people cant get their sh*t together; as well as tips on how to get your sh*t together without making yourself crazy.

This book is only for those who have no kids single or married with no kids. I would really love to see how you can be on top of everything in your life ( work, marriage, ambitions, health...) while you wake up for your kids at night one to two times even when they re above 1 year, and go back home after work to play with them until they sleep, or try not to lose your mind when they re crying for 2 hours in a row...and after that you re expecting you re still fully focused on yourself when there is no energy left. I can use few tips from this book that I already learned from my lifecoach but it does not represent a working person who has family if it is a he or a she.

Bought this book in an airport and read it right away. I mailed it to my 24 year old daughter as it has great insight into work emails, getting promoted etc. I am very organized, but found the book entertaining and also loved her "negative thinking trick" with her straight shooting hints: Do you want to be broke, fat and have a messy house! Hysterical considering all these "deep" self help books. I would recommend this book for a young adult graduating from college and entering the working world. How many people do you know who always forget their phone, wallet, keys!! She is right that is the basic to all organization!! Thanks for an entertaining read!

Glad I listened to the sample before purchasing. While it sounds promising and may offer some helpful processes, the steady use of profanity is distracting and not what I imagined from an ivy school education (author's reference). Yes, I read the title, and was looking forward to a fresh approach, some expanded insight, however, I was not expecting nor see the value of 'F' bombs on every 'page' (as demonstrated in the audio sample).

Checked out the audiobook from my local library and literally clicked RETURN as soon as I heard her say “always shoving views in your face like those damn Vegans”
RIDICULOUS. You’ve insulted an entire group albeit quite large group with that garbage.
Returned without remorse. Intolerant and judge mental author. Gross.
