Big fan of this series. Cannot wait until December. Please keep Sam and Mason together. Their love seems so true and mature. A forever kind of love. I would love to see Heather and Logan together. BRAVO Tijan!

This writer has to STOP writing so much stupid, silly, ridiculous, immature dialogue between the characters! Stop writing like a 12 year old. Stop stretching the story out. The best part of the 1st book in this series was the end! The same goes for this book. I couldn't read half of it because it's such poor writing!
Malazan Book of the Fallen Series - Book 5 - Midnight Tides :: Fallen Crest Home (Fallen Crest Series Book 6) :: A Cassidy & Spenser Thriller (Cassidy & Spenser Thrillers Book 2) :: The Fallen 4: Forsaken :: A Jesse McDermitt Novel (Caribbean Adventure Series Book 2)

I like both books in this series so far. I thought book one was good, but book two was better. I do wish we could have seen more into Mason life before he meet Sam. I would love to read some of the scenes from his point of view. i can't wait for December, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

After reading first novel in the serious, couldn't wait to read this one and i definitely wasn't disappointed! One of my favourite series since 50 shades..no kinky sex but juicy drama, heart pounding attraction, victim takes a stand; what's not to enjoy! Another book read in hours because i couldn't put it down!!

The second book was full of eventful surprises. I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense, and the fact that I never got bored reading it. CANT WAIT for the third book in this series; it's going to be GOOD!!! I can already tell, great job Tijan!!!

This is a great addition to the lives of the Kades and Sam. The brothers are just as edgy and moody as before, and poor Sam is still dealing with her crazy mom. I loved reading more about them and can't wait for the next installment. Great book by Tijan!

I have fallen in love with this series! Great story line and characters. It's hot and sexy! Crazy they are still in high school. My high school days were never this great. Can't wait for the next part.

Although I didn't care for how weak Sam appeared, after reading this book for the second time I now understand why she was so weak and why Tijan told this part of the story. I really enjoyed this book.

As with all her books, tijan has another great read in this book! I can't wait for the next installment of this series as well as her other ones. If you haven't read any of her books, do yourself a favor and check them out!!!!

The characters were 2 dimensional, unrealistic and unlikeable. No character development or growth from Book 1. I am not sure why I continued with this story when I thought Book 1 was barely tolerable - I was mildly curious to see what happens and was disappointed but not surprised to discover that it was just more of the same. I didn't finish this one and won't punish myself with anything else from this author. The author needs to live life before trying to write stories like this -and is clearly no runner. You try eating 1 meal in days and running what seems like a 100 miles like superman. Oh and dont forget all of the uncomfortable relationships and unrealistic sex she has time and energy for in-between the running and weird family drama. Yeah, that whole storyline was just plain stupid.

I've been waiting for the sequel from the first book for a while. I wasn't disappointed. The story has many twist and turns its not at all predictable and the only downfall is that now I'm waiting for the last book to come out....agony... But a pleasurable one.

I am a little disappointed with Sam's character change. She was so tough and unemotional in the first Fallen Crest. Now it seems like she is a sniveling, attached at the hip kind of girl. She cant make a move without being picked up like a baby and cradled?!? Kind of lame.

I really loved the emotional moments between Mason and Sam ... it was so intense and real. This book really showed the growth Sam when through and the new friendships she forged to help her there and I cant wait for the next installment of the series to see the next steps in her life. LOVED IT!

I loved the first book. Couldn't wait for this one. But I was really disappointed. Sam is nothing like herself in the 1st one. Didn't like the fact she seemed scared of everyone. I also wondered why we were having another showdown with her mom. Sam already didn't want anything to do with her. I loved Mase and Logan. They stayed the same. I liked that we seen more of Nate also but not how he acted sometimes. I'm still looking forward to FCH.

So much drama but not at all realistic. This is another case where the characters really should be set as older then they are supposed to be since the majority of the things that happen just is not at age level. If you just moved the characters from 17 to 22 and put them in Uni is would be more believable ish. This is definitely not a YA novel even though the characters are supposed to be teens and it's been billed as YA but I will tell my teen to skip it.

This book was drama filled and heart-warming. I loved it! Trojan did not disappoint! Samantha mom turned into a complete physco bitch, which was kind of a shocker but all ends well for the Kade family so far.

Fallen Crest High was the first book I ever read by Tijan. It showed up on my recommendation list for weeks before I finally read the reviews and thought ok I will give it a shot. I didn't want to read it because I thought why would I want to read about a bunch of high school kids who are 17 and 18 years old and all their drama. Obviously the first book really surprised me and I found myself liking Logan and Mason and even Sam and how they came to take her under their wing. So I really wanted to try the second book. This book is nothing like the first to me. All the things that made Logan and Mason like Sam so much in the first seem to be gone in this one. For the most part she appears pretty spineless where she falls to the floor and has headaches and just can't take it. I think she has one instance where she stands up to her mother. That's it! I just couldn't believe how incredibly weak she was in this book. I still enjoyed Mason and Logan's characters though so that's a plus. This book seemed full of one random, dumb and pointless teen drama to the next. I could barely finish but I have really been trying to finish books I start lately to give them all a shot. I will pass on a 3rd book though.

I was disappointed with this book. I read book 0 & 1 and liked the characters which is why I continued with the series. Sam (the main character) was much different from the first book, no longer quick-whitted, strong-willed & determined. And I wish I kept a tally on how many times she said "I'll never get enough of [Mason]." I'm going to continue the series, only because I hate stopping in the middle of a series, but Im not excited for the sequels based on this Book #2.

I loved the first book and couldn't wait to get to the second one, but this book was not at all what I was expecting. One of my favorite things about Sam in the first book was that I had finally found a strong female character! She stood up for herself against everyone. I don't know what happened to that girl, but I can tell you she was no where in this book!! What a disappointment.

4 “Family” Stars!
The Review:
Stepping straight off the drama-express from book one, I wasn’t sure what I was in store for in this second book. I knew I would probably love it as much as I loved the first one, even if ... or maybe because ... it was filled with crazy situations and unbelievable character actions. I was eager and excited to read it. I’m happy to say, I was not disappointed. Though this book felt more subdued than the first one, the plot was well constructed, the story was fast paced and exciting and the writing was just so well done! I enjoyed how the characters seemed more touchable and realistic, leaving me loving this story as much as the first, just in a different way.
Where did Sam go...
I will say, some of the energy felt missing in this book as Sam was a much weaker character, but she also had a lot of issues to work through and a lot of emotional mountains to climb, so I’m glad we got to see so much of her struggle. It made her more real and the situations more dire. Other than Mason and Logan, she had very little in the way of a support system. Her family and friends were either missing in action because of their own jealousies or self-involvement or they were causing even more trouble for her. My heart broke for Sam as more of her past is revealed. You realize she hasn’t had the best parenting when we meet her mom in book one, but Analise needs to be institutionalized and possibly incarcerated for the things she’s done and is still doing. She tears Sam’s world apart, along with anyone else who gets in her way. That woman was a nut-job. As for Sam, I was pleasantly surprised that her past and her running/eating issues were sussed out and explained which is something I felt was lacking from the first book. The author does a great job letting us get deeper into Sam’s psyche and her issues.
I also enjoyed the introduction of some new characters as Sam finds her footing once again.
Logan’s jealousy...
...is front and center in this book. You couldn’t help but feel for him. He never lets it consume him or even get him down for very long but it runs shallow and drifts to the surface from time to time. His ex did a number on him and his relationship with Mason, probably even more so than either of them realize. And that’s huge considering Mason is Logan’s lifeline in a world of users and hanger-ons. They are bonded and watch out for each other but Mason has Nate’s friendship, Sam’s love, the public’s admiration, had his ex-girlfriends lust at one point... and it doesn’t help that he’s leaving for college soon. And though Mason would stand in front of Logan and protect him from anything, all those things Mason has, leaves Logan feeling left out sometimes. It showed in this book, which shows just how complex and well written these characters are. They love each other, would do anything to protect each other, but even in the closest of families, there’s strife of some sort. That doesn't mean they stop loving or caring. Mason, Sam, Logan and even Nate, are family. When all else fails around them, they have the Fearsome Foursome to get through it all. And I LOVED that!
On a side note, Nate is still a mystery. His character was delved into a little more in this book and what we learn has you questioning what you thought you knew, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of him in the future.
Now on to Mason and Sam...
These two have to battle opposing forces, who want nothing more than to control their lives and separate them. I loved how Mason was adamant that no one was going to come between them, though I was expecting him to break out more of his Mason-like moves. Things are happening around him and even he, with all his popularity and notoriety, can’t seem to find his way out. And for that, I was glad, because it gave Sam a chance to figure things out for herself. But I won't lie. I’ve come to care a great deal about these characters and watching Sam struggle like she did in this book, was heartbreaking. All those angsts and emotions compounded with all the tension in this book was felt throughout my entire body and mind by the time I hit the last page. The author took me on that journey through her great writing and storytelling and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us. I’m moving on to the next book in the series right now!

This book picks up right where book 1 left off. You should stop reading if you havent read book 1 I dont want to ruin it for you . Will all the drama from book one we get some romance but don't fret its not the mushy kind we get some nice hot scenes but you can just feel the love through the looks and squeezes . Her writing makes you feel likes its happening right along with you , it's great! Sam, Mason and Logan are the threesome fearsome. They are so tight knit that that bond is unbelievable. People can only hope to find someone to care that much for you. In this book Sam deals with her school and their cliques and moving on to Mason and Logan's school. That alone has its own challenges because Mason has always been single but hooked up with a girl named Kate. She possessive no matter what Mason tries to do. As always the parentals give there two cents cauing their own problems for the group but lets nor forget Nate who rounds out the group as Mason's best friend. This book rocks! Enjoy!

About The Book:
When Sam and Mason are finally together, things are not as sweet as the promised "happily ever after" all the books promise.
Sam's mother is beyond mad with their relationship. She willing to do anything to torn them apart and make sure her daughter loves her again. She knows how to do the threats without being caught and that is making trigger something inside Sam.
The cruelty her mother has not shown for a while, to make Mason and Logan's father fell in love with her, besides other things, was growing inside Analise again and Sam is reliving day by day a trauma happened in the past.
She is losing everything. Her mother is willing to destroy once and for all the Kade brothers, specially Mason, and will stop at nothing to achieve it.
Review:
We are really happy to be part of this blog tour. We're madly in love with the first book and we are even more in love with the second.
When Tijan sent us this new book, we're thrilled. And we have to confess one thing to you, Book Addicts, we left everything behind, all the books we were reading, and we read this book. We ended it in a few hours. We didn't know we were so eager to know more about the Kade brothers and Sam.
Fallen Crest Family is the second book of the amazing series Fallen Crest High. And for all the Fallen Crest High Fans, we can assure you that this story is all about Sam and the Kades, again!
When they announced, well, they were forced into it would be more accurate, their relationship to their parents, we knew Analise, Sam's mother, was not happy about it. The others weren't thrilled as well, but the dramatic and bitchy Analise was the one who stressed the most. We knew that, but we weren't expecting this story. At all.
We finally get introduce into Analise and Sam's relationship. In the first book, we almost feel sad for Analise. Maybe she was not the best mother of the year, that for sure, but deep down we thought we knew that she still cared, a little bit, for Sam. In a some sort of twisted way.
However, in Fallen Crest Family we see the true Analise. What she did to Sam when they were living with David, what happened with David to make him stop loving her and what traumatized Sam.
Yes, Book Addicts, because in this book, our not so sweet Sam is having problems. Not just the problems her mother makes her go through, but more deep inside problems. She's struggling with some trauma that the author let us in, little by little, through the story. At first we were like: wtf just happened here? But then, when we started the undertsand what really was this about, we were shocked and kind of amused with the story. We suddenly wanted to know what happened to Sam that makes her go in some sort of trance that even scares the bad sexy Mason Kade. Surprise, uh?
If the relationship between Sam and her mother, and Analise and the Kade, were intense back then, now is even more.
We can see a part of Analise even more cruel than before. She knows how to play her evil queen role and she's willing to do it while she goes all innocent in front of James, the Kades' father. That only has a name and is: bitch. She's a witch and a bitch and we cannot hate her more. Not just for how she behaves, but for the trauma she caused to Sam. If you guys thought she was crazy... Just wait to read about her in this new book! She's earning all the tickets to go to a fancy and expensive psychiatric.
We met new characters, without leaving behind the ones we met in Fallen Crest High. Sam's living a bunch of changes in her life, too, therefore she meets new people that would make the book even more funny and interesting. We love Heather's intensity, independent and that she's up to any fight if there's any of her friends in need. She's like a bomb.
We picture her like a Kade Brother, but female and being in another school; of course a rival one for the brothers.
We were really glad to see that Mason is still in love with Sam and that he would anything to be with her and to protect her. And that Logan keeps the spirit like always, being the soul of the party. We were touched to see that they have make their family bound real and to learn that family is not all about blood. And we keep picturing Damon's attitude in Logan. Is like they are twins!
This book is full of romance, traumas, problems, family, parties and unraveling secrets. Tijan did not disappointed Fallen Crest High fans like us, at all. This new book is a really great one and would make you love even the Kade brothers and their parties and even their problems! This was an exciting reading and we strongly recommend it, Book Addicts. We want to share this book with you, because we know for sure that you're gonna get hooked like us!
We are waiting, anxiously, for the third book: Fallen Crest Public! *Goosebumps* Just reading the name makes us want to have the book already in our hands!

5 Crest Family Falling Stars
DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW UNLESS YOU HAVE READ Fallen Crest High (book 1).
Okay, sorry, I had to get that out of the way, but there's no way I can talk about book 2, without giving away book 1. So with that said....
I'M HERE TO SQUASH ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. YEP! You heard me. Look, I love a damsel in distress story line and SURE Sam is a little "weaker" in this book, but so what?! Is Mason and Sam's dynamic still epic as ever? YES!
So here's the disclaimer, this book is different from book 1, BUT it's just as good! Promise! On with the review.
Mason and Sam are together and it picks up right where book 1 left off. The main issue in the whole book is the family, as in Sam's crazy, mean mom. Mason and Sam are working very hard in staying together, but Sam's mom is throwing a lot of s*** in between them.
This is a Mason and Sam against the world kind of book and I love it. I don't like it when the Hero and Heroine can't get their s*** straight and they attack each other, no, Mason and Sam do not do that, thank god. Of course there are plenty of drama, tension and WHAT moments, but that's what we love right?
Sam is a bit weaker and this is explained fully. You get it and you sympathize. Mason is as lovable as ever, oh and you still want to do him. Just admit it, I proudly do. This one is also steamier and again, thank you!
So, go into this one with an open mind and if you had any reservations, just give Fallen Crest Family a shot. There's still plenty of Loan and extra characters involvement, so you will get your fix and will be fully satisfied.
I still love Tijan and this is still one of my favorite series.

The writing and editing were more polished in this book than book one, however, the overall plot wasn't as good. It was very repetitive in parts and I felt like it dragged a lot - meandering without any real purpose. It was still very entertaining and I'm invested in continuing the series.
As I predicted in my review of book one, Sam is struggling to hold things together in this book as the impact of everything finally hits her. It was difficult to read at times but that is testament to the great characterization. Mason is her rock and I loved him in this book even if he was still a bit mysterious and moody.
Logan is clearly floundering and I wonder what's in store for him in the future.
Her mother is a total nut job and their father is a complete pansy. How he could sacrifice his kid's welfare over that psycho is beyond me.
In summary, this was a decent follow up even if the plot let it down in parts.
Actual rating 3.5 stars.

Fallen Crest Family is drama packed and addicting! Mason and Sam are the perfect couple and should be well on their way to their perfect happily ever after but their family drama is doing everything possible to rip these two apart. This book has the perfect mix of sex, love, fun, and drama that will keep you from doing anything but reading until you reach the end. I can't wait to jump into book 3!

Tijan has once again blown my mind and surpassed the limits of great writing. Since I used the word Phenomenal in my review of Fallen Crest High, it certainly applies here as well. Though the last book did not end with a cliff-hanger it was clear this trio's story was far from over. The book starts about two months after FCH ends. And looking back now only a summer passes but the drama is crazier than ever and insults, clothes and cheerleaders are flying all over the place.
I've read some reviews where reviewers are upset by the drama in the book. I however, was not as surprised by it all. That being said I really enjoyed the book and in some ways it did seem like a filler before the next book but I think it was necessary as the titles states to really focus on the Family. Take out the Crest and Fallen Family really does a good job of showcasing what a broken, dysfunctional bunch they are. Samantha's mom somehow makes her earlier crazy seem like a walk in the park. I actually found myself becoming vicious and bloodthirsty hoping the guys would let loose on her. Her poor mom just can't stand how Samantha's been accepted into the fam and she never will. Trust me, the crazy we saw from her in book 1, is nothing compared to what she lets loose in Fallen Crest Family.
I loved seeing this side of Sam. Sure she's had her fair share of emotional trauma, especially at the hands of her mom but everyone breaks. No one can be strong forever and though her take no prisoners attitude is wavering in this story I felt more connected to her this time around. You can only be strong and indifferent for so long before it all catches up to you and your strength is tested. Sam's is put to the test here, mostly by her mother and I can only hope she gets back to herself and finally puts her mother in her place where she belongs=a psycho ward!!
We don't see much of the return of Sam's old friends. In fact now that she's been initiated so-to-speak by Mason and Logan, they are really the only ones she needs. Yet being their sister and dating her step-brother can cause a few bumps in the road. Unfortunately for Sam this happens when the other females in town harbor a passionate for her because of who she lives with and who she's dating as if she had a choice. Get over it bitches; Sam rocks and Mason/Logan make sure everyone knows they have her back. It's really kind of awesome like they're in their own gang. In some weird way this book brought me back to high school more than ever and more than anything I've read before. Sometimes it's hard to create a realistic setting because of the overdone cattiness of the characters but I think Tijan nailed it. At least in my neighborhood this is how shit goes down. High school kids are beyond mean and parents are not always in the right. The sarcasm is off the charts, the drama is reality-TV worthy and the backstabbing bitches are meaner than ever. They've yet to allow Sam time to warm up and get back to her old ways, I'm holding high hopes for book #3 Fallen Crest Public.
Besides loving this I can't say much more. I sure as hell didn't want it to end and I wish it was as long as book one. But if you've read Fallen Crest High and fallen in love with the brothers, than look no further because you will certainly get your fix here and leave you panting for more which is supposed to be released sometime in December, right around Christmas. YIPPEE...
Oh and lastly I felt it important to point out that there is no love triangle or backstabbing like the cover suggests. I know I was a bit worried when it was revealed but alas, there is enough drama without this added in so I hope I've set some fears aside.

Book 2 of the Fallen Crest Series definitely gives you drama, heated moments and more chemistry from Mason and Sam. What I loved the most was like the title tells you, it gives you a greater understanding of all the family dynamics, both for Mason & Logan but then for Sam & Annalise. The flashbacks given do answer so many questions from book 1but it gives you so many more questions for book 3!
This book covers the summer break, Sam is leaving Fallen Crest Private and transferring to Fallen Crest Public - yes I am really scared as there are some really mean girls and the power shifts are changing.
Whilst yes I love Mason and Sam, I do have an incredible soft spot for Logan and I think all his jokes mask perhaps some real hurt and betrayal however his connection to Sam as a stepsister is really endearing.
Love this series, love the characters, love the drama and look forward to picking up Fallen Crest Public (Fallen Crest Series #3).

Another amazing story for this twisted family! We pick up 2 months after Fallen Crest High and Mason and Sam are still together and so in love.
I loved how this story went from everything being ok to everything was a wreck. As much as I hate Annalise I enjoyed seeing more of her crazy in this book. She is a miserable and horrible person and I can't figure out why James stays with her, especially after this book!
Logan and Mason are still super protective of Sam and I love the dynamic of these characters and how they interact with each other. It's like they've known each other all their lives and not for a short period of time.
I loved watching Sam finally sticking up for herself and doing things she wanted. My heart also broke for her multiple times during this book as realization after realization hit her. She really only has the boys left and I think the jury is still out on Heather and Becky.
In this book I became very weary of Nate and am no longer how I feel about him. There is something going on and I can't wait to see what it is.
Fallen Crest Family is an amazing read and you must read it if you've read Fallen Crest High! I have become hooked on this series and can't wait to see what happens next with these characters!

Love this book!
This book starts when Sam, Mason and Logan are on their Winter break. Sam has to decide if she continues in Fallen Crest Academy or if she transfers to Fallen Crest Public. She is still dealing with family issues, especially with her mother and some things that happened in the past. She's going through a lot, her emotions are everywhere and she feels that she only has Mason and Logan to lean on. Her status has Mason's girlfriend made her the #1 enemy to every girl that goes to Fallen Crest Public.
Mason is very loyal to both Sam and Logan. He's also very protective of them. Love the chemistry between Sam and him. They totally complete each other.
Although he seems to be a very carefree guy, Logan can be as intense as his brother. Like Mason, he is very protective of Sam.
Love Heather. She's like the female version of Logan! She's intense, independent and very loyal to her friends.
This is an amazing book! The story is awesome! We have everything from romance to drama, with a few steamy moments. This book has everything you expect on a book about teenagers: parties, family issues, high school rivalries and lots of secrets.
Tijan is an incredible writer and I can't wait to read the rest of this series and her other books!

Fallen Crest Family (Fallen Crest #2)
By: Tijan
4/5 stars
Mason and Sam are a public couple now and Logan is a staunch supporter of their relationship. It is close to winter break. Samantha has been through a rollercoaster of a semester. Her family has been broken up, she hates her dad and her mom. She’s in love with Mason and he & Logan have become her new family. The boys look out for her and protect her. She’s been on the edges of the Academy social scene, she’s been in the group, she’s been the outcast, she’s been better than and above the group and then she’s been the social pariah.
Mason still gets anyone to do whatever he wants and always gets his way. But he can’t do anything about how school goes for Sam at Fallen Crest Academy and really wants her to transfer to Fallen Crest Public, where he can keep an eye on her and help protect her. Plus she also has a better chance at getting a scholarship to any college she wants for her running if she goes to Public school.
We got to see some of the major obstacles in the way of Sam and Mason, mainly Sam’s mom, Analise. In the prequel and book 1, there were times that she would lose her easy façade and get crazy eyes and her true personality would lash out. But in this book, she also completely loses it a few times. And unfortunately, there are times that James, her fiancé, doesn’t witness it and you really wish he did. But Analise has him snowed on who she really is.
There were a few things that I didn’t really like in this book. I felt that Sam became weak in this book. Whereas in the first book, she didn’t care what anyone in her school thought about her, now she does. There is also this backstory of the problem with her mom. In the first book, she was ready and willing to hit her mom back, now she cowers and is afraid of her mom.
Also, where I feel that Sam has overreacted to David, the dad who raised her, I think that he is just as weak as Sam when it comes to her mom. He just took whatever she dealt out, and even glossed over the major problem that occurred between Sam and her mom when Sam was a child. Also, it makes you wonder why he still listened to her about how she wanted him out of Sam’s life. It also makes me wonder why David and Sam have such a hard time being around each other, especially since he’s been her dad for almost 18 years.
This series has sucked me in and usually, the high school age group isn’t a group that I read about, but I thoroughly enjoy this series.

I'm not sure what happened, but this one slowed down some. Still a lot of crazy stuff going on, and Sam just seemed to wither in this one.
In the last book, Sam pretty much blurted out that her mom and the Kade brothers' dad were together and she was living with them. On top of that, she and Mason were sleeping together. And as expected, she became a social pariah. Her so called friends Becky and Adam abandoned her, and Adam turned every one else at her school against her. As for the Fallen Crest Public crowd? The girls weren't exactly keen on an outsider nabbing the most sought after and elusive guy. One famous for not wanting to commit to having a girlfriend. Unfortunately, her home life wasn't any better. Although none of their parents were happy with her relationship with Mason, her mother not only manages to get the boys kicked out of their home, she threatens Mason with jail time. Needing to get away from her mom, Sam continues to run and comes across a new friend, Heather, who offers her a job.
What is different is that Sam begins to have flashbacks. Alienated from her real dad and the dad who raised her, and not knowing why they have not contacted her, getting the cold shoulder from the FCP crowd, socially outcast at FCA, and Mason living at Nate's, she is stuck with her controlling mother and remembering a past that she has worked hard to put behind her. For some reason, this just sucked the strength from her. The things you loved about Sam were being buried, and she was now fearing her mom. Given all of the angst at school, and her need to be with Mason, he convinces her to try out for track at FCP. When the coach agrees to take her on and pretty much guarantees she can get a scholarship after graduation, Sam decides to transfer schools, but also knows that things won't be any better there. Especially after Mason graduates. With Logan and Mason not living at home, she'll need to think of something that will ensure she isn't alone next year having to face all of the piranhas by herself.
I still am pretty hooked on the series, but think this one lost some of the grittiness of the first book. I'll definitely be reading the next book, and still recommend the series to anyone who read my earlier reviews and think they might want to try it out.

There's one word to describe this book. CRAZY
Because that's what the whole thing is, a bunch of craziness. It would've made more sense if there was another book in between, even a novella, that sort of led up to the completely different character Sam has become. Who is she? Because really? Not anywhere near the same person from the first book. She turned into a mousey, timid, little puss. Where was the transition?
So it seems like her mom has Borderline Personality Disorder, which I can totally appreciate. But her mom's psychotic behavior came out of nowhere too. As someone who has a mom with BPD - the behavior is always there and then *spoiler alert* in the end she just ... gives up the fight? Just like that? All because Sam asked her to stop. Wow. Pivotal.
Okay.. so why did I give it 3 stars? Because, other than Sam and her mom - every single other character in this book rocked. Thought stereotypical, they still rocked. Especially, Logan. He was the most real character of them all and I enjoyed reading him.
Her dads were MIA throughout 99% of the story, which was a disappointment.
The story is easy to read, the writing is good, and you get pulled through it quickly. If it weren't for Sam falling apart so completely and becoming such a different person this book would've gotten 4 stars. Nowhere near as good as the Fallen Crest story before it.

I read Fallen Crest High quite a few months ago and LOVED it! Since then I have anxiously been awaiting the release of the next installment in the Fallen Crest series, Fallen Crest Family. Now that I have finally gotten to read it, I can definitely say it was WELL worth wait!!
In Fallen Crest High we met Samantha (aka Sam), a 17 year old girl who has just moved into the house of her mother's new, very wealthy boyfriend. In this house she meets the sons of said boyfriend...Mason and Logan Kade. Mason and Logan are the popular bad boys of Fallen Crest Public...the rival school to Sam's school, Fallen Crest Academy. Sam quickly forges a very close friendship/bond with Mason and Logan as well as a romantic relationship with Mason.
Fallen Crest Family picks up right where Fallen Crest High leaves off. In FCF we learn a lot more about Sam's strained relationship with her mother and we finally get the details of a horrific childhood event that Sam has been hiding which causes her panic attacks. We also get to see Sam and Mason's relationship build and become more intense as her mother tries to keep them apart and break them up.
Sam-I really like Sam and felt for her throughout the story. She had a very intense childhood due to her mentally unstable mother and just can't seem to break free of this woman's hold on her. The book starts with Sam having lost every friend she has.Her mother has kicked Mason and Logan out of the house and is trying to keep them all apart. I found myself at times very frustrated with her and wishing she would grow some backbone and stick up for herself. She tends to let her mother and others walk all over her. Thankfully she does finally find her strength in the end!
Mason-what can I say about Mason except...I LOVE HIM...LIKE... LOVE HIM, LOVE HIM!!! Mason is the ultimate HOT, overprotective, loyal, alpha male bad boy and I could NOT get enough of him! He had me on constant swoon alert! His devotion and passion for Sam was SO intense! These two were setting my Kindle on fire with the chemistry and steam they had going on! I also loved Mason's relationship with his brother and how protective he was of him as well. He is extremely loyal to all of those that he loves and it only makes him that much more appealing!
Other characters include Logan, Mason's brother who is also fiercely protective of Sam and Heather (Jax) who befriends Sam when all of her other friends have deserted her. The two quickly connect and form a strong friendship.
This story is intense, passionate, heartbreaking and an amazing love story. The relationship between Mason and Sam has you fanning yourself and rooting for them as so many outside forces try to tear them apart. Mason definitely earns a spot on my top 5 book boyfriend list...a coveted spot that not many get to claim :) I can't wait for their story to continue in Fallen Crest Public. This book was a 5 star read for me and I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fallen Crest Family is probably my most anticipated novel of the month, no the year, seriously. Devouring it in 2 hours flat, not because it is short but because I couldn't have slowed down if you had tried to make me. Such a perfect sequel, it did not disappoint.
I loved this book, and I am still on a high from this story. Floating around like a crazy person, I have a feeling its going to send me into an extreme book funk. How can I possibly read something else after that? :)
An appropriate title for the novel, Fallen Crest Family, it really was about family this time around. I really felt for Sam even more this time, she is going thru some very heavy stuff, having flashbacks of a very painful event. We learn how very twisted her mother really is, and trust me it's pretty jacked up.
I am really glad that Sam's family has kind of been defined, she's isn't alone with her crazy mother anymore. Mason, Logan, Nate and even Heather are her family now and I really, really like that.
Mason and Sam are really together this time and wow, it was delicious and completely awesome. One of my favorite book couples the two of them are so great together and while I loved them in Fallen Crest High, I love their relationship even more now.
The trifecta of yummy, edgy boys, Mason, Logan and Nate. Yum. Pure yum.
Mason is one of those perfect book boys, seriously. I adore every detail about his character. Strong, intimidating, with an edge of dangerous that I am addicted to. Loyal to a fault to the ones he loves and let me tell you he loves Sam.
Logan is still Logan :) I really have a soft spot for him. Funny, and sweet he has the greatest relationship with Sam. He and Mason have an incredibly strong and unique relationship that I can't help but love, great brothers.
Nate, is kind of an enigma for me and I want to know more about him. He and Mason have a very solid friendship and his loyalty to Mason is absolute but I am very curious about his feelings toward both Sam and Logan. I hope Tijan delves a little more into his character as the series goes on.
I loved the introduction of Heather, FINALLY, Sam has a friend that really is on her level. I like this girl, I really hope she gets some more page play as the books go on. She is interesting and different and a perfect friend match for Sam.
Fallen Crest Family was more than I was expecting and I enjoyed every single second of it from the moment I clicked open the book. I can't wait to go back and re-read it. Maybe this time I will be able to go slower, but I doubt it ;)
Go get it, read it and jump on the bandwagon of reading Tijan's books, you won't be disappointed.

It is rare that I like the first book in the series as much as the first, but I did with this one. Top 5 favorite series of 2013.
I just loved it. I loved the story, I loved characters, I love how these characters love and care for each other. No matter what there is trust, respect, and love.
Samantha mother is evil. She is just not a good person. Jealous and spiteful. She is doing everything in her power to separate Mason and Samantha and she succeeds, by threatening, but Mason so protective and alpha that he will do everything to help Sam.
That first time Mason and Samantha see each other after being apart for 2 week. I felt it. When she ran to him and he picked her up. OH. That was my favorite, FAVORITE scene in the whole book.
If you have not started this series, I recommend highly!! Tijan is one of my favorite authors.

This is book 2 in the Fallen Crest Series. Tijan stepped it up a notch with the drama in this one.
Sam''s mom stirs up a whole lot of trouble in this book. She does not like Mason and Logan and stops at nothing to keep them away from Sam. You will not believe the lengths! Sam starts having some flashbacks from when she was younger and those lead to some serious revelations that rock Sam's world. Sam's association with the Kade boys has made her public enemy #1. Not only does she have to deal with her mom and classmates, but some new threats show up as well.. She also makes a new friend who seem loyal.
They boys have their fair share of drama to deal with as well. From dealing with Sam's mom to protecting Sam from her mom, people at FC Academy and FC Public and another rival school.
I enjoyed this book so much more than the first and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I love this series, Mason is so hot and wonderful and I love that him and Samantha are together and not hiding it from anyone. I cannot stand Samantha's mother, she is so evil and was even more evil when Samantha was younger, what she had to go through back then was terrible. Then what she tries to do to keep Mason and Sam apart is so hateful. I felt we got to learn more about why Sam is the way she is, why she has adopted the coping skills she has, and why she won't let things get in between her and the guys. I am both excited and worried about reading the next book, I am worried about what will happen once Sam starts at the public school and excited because I can't wait to read more about Mason and Sam's relationship.

This book follows Fallen Crest High in the Fallen Crest series. It's best to read them in order but definitely a must read! I loved this as much as FC High. The drama between Sam and her mother continues and get's painfully worse. I'm aching to see how it plays out in Fallen Crest Public. Sam and Mason get closer and their relationship is something else. Mason is her safe haven, her wall, her protector. In this story risks are taken, ultimatums are tossed out and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it played out. I really wanted to reach out and slap Sam's mom ;). She's crazy and really knows how to play the part. We get to see a bit of the power struggle not only between the adults but also the "threesome fearsome". I'm really excited to see where that goes and watch how Sam comes to terms with all the lies and secrets her family has dealt her. I see her getting stronger but I also see a part she's hiding and I still think there's more to her story.
Another great read by Tijan for sure!

Mason and Sam are together, and with Mason's brother Logan, that makes the "Fearsome Threesome," as Logan likes to say! Mason and Sam cant get enough of each other, and everyone hates this besides Logan.
While the romance gets even "hotter," (yes I didn't think it was possible either), Sam's Mom starts to lose her marbles and everything in her world continues to tilt, except Mason and Logan.
Those two brothers are so breathtaking that I just want to "breathe" them in, and Sam's constant pain and realness is such a refreshing course in characterization, I have fallen in love with the three of them.

*ARC received from author for Honest Review*

After reading both books I have to say I enjoyed them. I like the characters however that being said I found myself kinda skiming through the sam and mason parts and slowed down for some of the secondary characters. I love Logan. Love him. And Heather. I like her. I think I like them better than sam and mason. If tijan wrote a book about either one of them that would be something I would definitely read. Espically a book from Logans POV. I am giving this book 5 stars for them. I think sam and mason just got borning for me in this book. Looking forward to see what happens next. Maybe Logan and Heather will get together.

Was I disappointed? Unfortunately, yes.

"I won't get run off from you. I love you, Sam. I said it before and I mean it. I won't let your mom control my life."
The story. The sequel follows Samantha and her step brothers. She has a romantic relationship with one of the brothers and a brother-sister relationship with the other. Sam and Mase have quite a few obstacles ahead of them and number one being Sam's crazy-a mom Analise. Their parents are all mixed up in this crazy relationship that affects their kids and the kids' friends-enemies don't make the whole mess better either. If you're willing to give this series a try, expect a lot of drama and crazy coming your way.
My emotions. Look, I am a huge fan of Sam and Mason's relationship and I adore their chemistry. Did I expect lots of make-out scenes and their romance blossoming even more? Yes, I did. I just didn't think it'd take about half of the book describing the feelings Mase created in Sam. *falls asleep* I liked that their relationship wasn't all about the sexual chemistry in this book, but rather it evolved into something deeper and I truly believed them when they expressed their love. I also enjoyed Logan's friendship with Sam which unfortunately wasn't there that much. Oh, and I really, really like that new girl Heather. Sam needs a great friend and I can tell you that I like her a hell of a lot better than that Becky chick who's the second coming of Gossip Girl *rolls eyes* She's the kind of friend you don't want to have and I think Sam is too generous to constantly forgive her.
So what disappointed me the most, you ask? Hmh.. Let's just say that Sam's mother Analise seemed like a lunatic before, but now she's an even bigger mystery to me. The whole 11-year-old-Sam-and-her-mom plot felt so off to me, I didn't connect to that at all. I felt like there were plot wholes throughout that entire storyline and I why didn't we see that coming? There was not even a mention of this jazz in book one so it felt more random than anything to be brought up now out of nowhere. Moreover, nothing else happened in this book that we didn't know before. Sam and Mason love each other, Logan and Mase excepted Sam into their family. Analise is a lost case as are the rest of the trio's parents. Also, Sam just became so girly and emotional and.. weak. In #1 she stood up for herself and didn't take BS from anyone, but now.. I knew she would break down at some point though what with shutting out all her emotions.
To sum up my thoughts, I'd say that I liked it, but I expected more. I didn't connect with Sam in her `tragic' childhood drama she had to relive and I didn't feel like the story progressed anywhere. However, I read the original 4 chapters on Tijan's Wattpad and I think that re-drafting and re-writing this book benefited in this case. If you're up for a crazy ride of drama and rich kids, this series may be the one for you. I can tell you that the first installment is anything like the New Adult novels as we've come to know them. Even though I found this installment to be just meh and okay, I am very much looking forward to what comes next for this bunch of lunatics. LOL. That sounded funny, haha.

Fallen crest family is the second book from the fallen crest series by tijan. This book follows mason, sam and logan during their winter break. Sam and masons relationship has been official, but its caused many issues with both families and also the girls from fallen crest public. In this book you see why sam has problems with her mother and why there relationship is like paper and scissors. I liked sam and masons relationship, they don't have to speak any words but they know how the other feels with just one look. I love how mason Is so protective and loving, but of course I love logan. You can't help but love logan. I hated that he was left out a little in the book with nate coming back for mason and his last semester. I cant wait for fallen crest l public

Flipping heck! Could I fall more in love with Mason and Logan? I didn't think so. But, yes, Tijan did it again. The story follows on directly from Fallen Crest High and follows Sam, Mason and Logan as they deal with high school drama and family feuds. I felt so much for Sam in this book, she has so much more to deal with, bitchy girls and an even bitchier mother. Thankfully she has the support of Mason and Logan, she just needs to learn to ask for help. Love the relationships between Sam and Mason, and Sam and Logan.
