I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Siobhan had me hooked from the very beginning and read nearly half of this book sitting at work during my shift. I was completely addicted to the writing and this angst driven story. This was roller coaster ride I never wanted to end, scared at every turn, and reeling when it was all over. There were so many twist and turns I'm still having a hard time dealing. I loved every minute reading this book and I need time to recuperate from that ending.

Finding Kyler is a forbidden romance between Faye and her cousin Kyler after her parents die and she's sent to live with her Uncle in America. The change is tough for Faye since her uncle and aunt are very rich and they have seven? Kids who are royalty in their prestigious community. Faye gets thrown into family drama, jealous exes, and secrets that seem endless to unravel. I really liked Faye at the beginning. Even though she is dealing with the death of her parents she immediately finds herself caring for her family. It gets her sucked into endless amounts of drama, especially with Kylers ex Addison. Faye holds her own pretty good, she defends herself and doesn't let people treat her any way they want, and even gets into a few fist fights. But I felt that some of that bravado was fleeting and as much as she tried to act like she could handle her own battles she was in wayyyy over her head and needed her cousins backup. I completely sympathized with the feelings she felt towards Kyler and her struggles to keep them in check, despite her blaring jealousy whenever she caught Kyler and Addison together.

The Kennedy brothers are all so different from one another and I couldn't help loving all of them, except the model one. They are so troubled by their family life that they lash out for attention and have weird ways of showing they care. When it seems like they're treating you like crap, it's really their weird way of trying to protect you. I felt their pain and just wanted to hug all of them. I really loved Kalvin, he was my favorite and by far the funniest and added so much twisted humor. Kyler is a dark mystery and loved how Siobhan slowly peeled back the layers that made up Kyler. I absolutely loved him. I felt a strong connection to him because he carries the weight of his family on his shoulders and that is me.

This book is filled with so much drama, usually in the form of uptight entitled rich kids who prey on those not like them and potential threats. There is scathing banter, hidden insult, and nice old fashion fist fights. I can say I enjoyed Faye decking a few people. Although I feel like she never truly won any arguments or fights outright. This book will make you laugh and leave you hanging on the edge of your seat in angst. It's pretty much crazy and effed up, but the Kennedy's are not to messed with. I loved that they come together when they need to and have each other's backs despite their family issues. I will say I had a hard time deciding if I wanted Faye and Kyler together. Not that this bothers me in the story at all. I am so very excited to see where this story will turn after that bomb got dropped on me and other things need to be answered. I am so excited to see what happens next. I loved this book so much. I highly recommend this book.

I received a Beta Copy and an Advance Copy from the author Siobhan Davis for my honest review and here it is
Holly Crap!!! Yes, that's how I'm going to start this post, because this book is like nothing you have read, yes it sounds and while you are reading will start to look like your typical YA romance book but the twists and turns that Siobhan throws at you? Yes, there is nothing like a Siobhan twist...let's jump at the review:
Faye Donovan is alone in the world, she has just lost both her parents in a tragic accident. But life just keeps playing tricks with her because out of nowhere an unknown uncle surfaces as her new guardian. He shows up at her home in Ireland to pick her up and bring her all the way to the United States, away from everything she has known her whole life. She isn't too happy but then again she doesn't have a choice as she is under age and she has to go with her new uncle and follow him to America, she decides to do it as her eighteen birthday is only a few months away. Soon, Faye finds out that her Uncle is very, very wealthy and married to a fashion-empire-owing wife and they have more money than anyone should have. Something else that they have more than enough is kids, seven in total and all boys and soon after meeting all of them Faye finds out that all seven are kind of screwed up on their own and things kind of turn into a nightmare.
The worst nightmare is when certain inappropriate feelings arise between Faye and Kyler Kennedy, her cousin. He is off limits, for SURE. And he is not the most friendly and welcoming of them all. Kyler is ignorant, moody and cruel at times, but for some reason, Faye starts to feel behind the mask he wears and they kind of start to get each other. Kyler in the other hand has sworn off girls, he doesn't want to get involved with them. But Faye starts to get under his skin, the more he pushes her away the more he wants her. Together they decide to keep their feelings a secret, but a secret is dangerous, very, very dangerous. Especially when other people have secrets of their own.
Screwed up family? Let's talk about how screwed up this family really is, Faye's uncle for me is the most screwed up of them all and his marriage together with it. The brothers? Each of them have something going on and OH Man, six times screw ups (not counting Kyler of course) every time I though, Oh this one is not that bad, something about that one would appear. WHAT? I just want to grab this whole family and rehabilitate it myself, they all need help, really bad. Wait, I don't think I can do it, they're all past help. Wait, I don't think I would mind rehabilitating some of the brothers, they are pretty hot lol. Okay, back to some serious stuff, they all need help and hopefully we will get to see them getting some soon.
The end of the book, the twist was a freaking bomb that I wasn't not expecting and I really am hopping that it isn't true. I have come up with a million different scenarios for it to not be real. This is killing ME. Seriously, if you love romance and drama, lots and lots of it, then this book is definitively for you. 4.5 out of 5 stars. Can't wait for the next one.

Siobhan Davis is a new author to me. And I am not sure why I am just now hearing about her. Her assistant contacted me asking if I'd review an early copy of her next release, Finding Kyler, in a new series she was debuting. I was immediately interested after reading the blurb and was truly excited to read a new author (new to me).

I can't sing enough high praises about Finding Kyler. Yes, some people will find the plot line to be taboo, but that's what drew me in. I love the taboo and shocking story lines. I love it when a plot goes against the norm and pushes boundaries. I feel that the stories are more unique and authors are able to open up more in their creativity. And I just flat out love how Siobhan writes this story. She starts this series off beautifully and hits the ground running.

" 'My family is gone. They're never coming back. And I'm trying to find a way of existing when sometimes I feel as dead as them on the inside.' "

In Finding Kyler, we get to meet all the Kennedy boys plus their parents. We get a glimpse into each of the boys, and there are ALOT of them. And let me tell you, their gene pool came from the Gods because they are equally hot in their own way. Bu in Finding Kyler, we dig deeper into Kyler and Faye's lives. Faye is thrust into a new world when she is forced to move in with her uncle and aunt whom she never knew existed. Kyler is being a typical brooding teenage male and going through his first heartbreak. Sounds like typical, normal teenage garbage, right? That's where you'd be wrong. Let's just Finding Kyler is Gossip Girl meets O.C. And I FREAKING LOVE IT!! It's my guilty pleasure in a book!!!

"The truth always finds a way to out itself."

What I absolutely love in this book, is how Siobhan writes these characters. You get an understanding that there is alot more going on underneath the smoke and mirrors that the Kennedy's show everyone. Each of them is battling their own demons and issues, including the mom and dad. And appereances are everything to the Kennedy's. Faye is slowly developing her own relationships with each of her cousins and relating to them in different ways. Faye is trying to find her place in this new world, without losing who she is. And in this high society, when you are already a target before you've even be able to make move, defending yourself becomes a whole new battle.

"Alone, we both suffer in this world. Together, we can conquer it."

All I can say is, Siobhan has me completely hooked on this series. I am curious as to what her other books and series are about. Siobhan is very talented and keeps her readers in the story, never wanting to stop. I can't wait til the next book comes out. She through us one hell of a doozy at the end of this book, so I really hope we aren't kept waiting too long.

Finding Kyler is a phenomenal start to what I know will be one hell of a great series!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of Finding Kyler provided by Lola @ Lola's Blog Tours and Author Siobhan Davis. Thank you for introducing me to The Kennedy Boys!

When it comes to Siobhan Davis, there isn't a genre that she couldn't command and conquer - now that she had invaded to the land of contemporary romance, she still continues to surprise me with what she has up her sleeves - I was shocked, TWICE, with what she is capable of.

Finding Kyler Checklist
1. Sassy and strong heroine from Ireland. ✔
2. Forbidden romance. ✔
3. 7 amazingly hot boys with K.K Initials ✔
4. Funny and heated bantering ✔
5. Troubled protagonists ✔

If you are a sucker for anything on the list (like me) and is a huge fan of The Royal Series by Erin Watt, then fret not, I've got the perfect book just for you!

Faye was forced to leave her home in Ireland and moved in with her uncle in America after the tragedy that struck her family, leaving her orphaned. What she did not expect was to be forced to live under the roof with 7 other incredibly good-looking "cousins" who treated her arrival with such hostility, especially the one with the name of Kyler Kennedy.

However, heated exchanged quickly transformed into an underlying attraction and soon enough developed into a deeper yet dangerous attraction. Can Faye and Kyler overcome society's harsh outlook of their relationship? Or face a much bigger challenge that is standing in their path - the heartbreaking truth that will shatter any hope between them.

“I was wrong last night. Kyler isn’t just trouble. He’s an apocalypse-level disaster waiting to happen. I need to find some fallout shelter to hide in. And quick.”

Taboo themed books never bothered me as I embrace diversity in literature, I loved having my thinking capacity challenged and books like this are the reason why I kept on reading. Faye is such a great character, with her straightforward attitude and no bullsh*t persona, you'll look forward to hearing her voice in the books, and the fact that you have snapshots of her Irish background make her all that more real.

On the other hand, the Kennedy boys are so hard to keep track of (because they are just so many of them!), but the author attached the Kennedy's family tree in the first few pages of the book which really helped with the visualization (and proved just how drool-worthy they all are). I am pulled to each one of them because they all seemed to have a story to tell. Although Kyler, the cool and troubled character was the protagonist of the story, his siblings gotten their fair share of attention.

I haven't read a story like this since Forbidden, and it excites me that the book centered around a topic that defies the social norms, I can't wait to see what the author has in stores for us next, especially with her - C L I F F H A N G E R - ending. *cries*

This was my first book by author Siobhan Davis and I know it won't be the last! If you loved Paper Princess then you'll enjoy the first book in the Kennedy Boys series.

Finding Kyler has it all - family drama, twisted secrets, teenage angst, forbidden love, a takes no crap main character, and a beautiful boy with a tortured soul. The story sucks you up in a whirlwind, spits you out, and by the end you'll be gasping for air and raging war inside your head.

I'll start by saying that this book will not be for everyone. The main characters love interest is her cousin - that's right, cousin. If this is a subject you feel very strongly against then I probably wouldn't recommend reading this one. But if you go in with an open mind or feel like pushing your own boundaries, I say get ready for one heck of a ride!

Faye was a great main character. Coming into a new town and new school as the cousin of the legendary Kennedy's, she already has a target on her back, but she's not about to let them bully her. She's not afraid to speak her mind and the crap she receives (and believe me, there's a lot of crap) she's not afraid to give right back. Though, she certainly has flaws that make her relatable and I love that about her, not to mention her perseverance.

Kyler is just one of 7 Kennedy boys and the one who catches Faye's eye. Truthfully, he was a really frustrating character! One minute I was screaming at him for his stupidity and secretly warning Faye to keep her distance, then the next I was yelling for him and Faye to finally give in to their feelings for each other. I was very conflicted with my own feelings for Kyler and found it hard to get on board with the whole cousins dating thing most of the time. By the end I was rooting for the two of them and then the author goes and leaves me hanging like that!

Besides the two lovers, we are introduced to Faye's aunt and uncle and all 7 of their boys. Their names all start with the letter K which made it very confusing at first. Thankfully only a couple of them had larger roles and it was easier to keep them separated. I'll just say it, this family is messed up! I was shocked at the sexual advances and comments they used towards Faye and their parents reaction, or lack of I should say, was not at all what I would expect in this situation. Which actually kind of makes sense later on. Even so, these boys grew on me the more I read. What can I say, I'm a sucker for dysfunction.

Overall, Finding Kyler was a very entertaining read. It was a rollercoaster of messy secrets and emotions - I fully enjoyed the ride and believe most others will as well even if you don't agree with the subject matter. My only complaint is while there are distinct differences between this group of characters and The Royals, the similarities are very much there, especially in the first 20% of the book. Even so, after that cliffhanger ending I cannot wait to see how the story plays out in the next book.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review

This was a fairly quick read and a pretty good one. I'm looking forward reading the sequels. My one and only complaint was that I couldn't keep track of all of the Kennedy brothers besides Kyler. The triplets were interchangeable to me and the older brothers weren't around much to leave any impression.

I really liked Faye, she was a breath of fresh air from the normal damsel in distress heroine that are in New/Young Adult books as of late. She stayed strong, independent, fierce, feisty and fiery through out the whole book. I remember reading Fallen too Far by Abbi Glines and initially liked the main character Blaire, she was independent, didn't take crap from no one, but eventually devolved into a simpering mess who couldn't defend herself or more importantly stand up for herself without the hero Rush. Faye is nothing like that and wanted to do her own thing from the beginning of the novel to the end.

Faye's parents die tragically in a car accident in Ireland, and her mothers brother comes out of the woodwork to take Faye to America so she can be with his family and continue her life. Throughout most if not all of the book Faye doesn't want to be in America, hates that her parents left her with an uncle she has never heard of as well as trying to deal with American teenagers who are going gag over a new pretty Irish girl.

The Kennedy's are a household name in the town where Faye now lives, and Faye is now living a life of luxury, complete with her own large bedroom and en suite bathroom as well as a new wardrobe. Faye wants nothing to do with it, and goes as far as to get a job and apply to the public high school where she won't be around her cousins.

Speaking of cousins they are an interesting lot, especially Kyler who was my favorite along with one of the triplets who is Fayes only friend for awhile, the only one who doesn't hate her the second she comes to America. In fact he is quite the opposite and has quite the crush on her and is quite vocal about it.

Kyler hates everything about Faye from the way she looks to the way she suddenly showed up in his life. When they first see each other they both notice the pain in each others eyes, even though they are able to hide it from the rest of the world. Faye can relate very well to the pain Kyler is feeling even if she doesn't know why he is so unhappy.

Fay does her best to keep her walls up, not letting anyone get close to her. She wants to leave the Kennedy estate as soon as possible so she can start her own life and not be dependent on her Uncle James' money.

Through some more chance meetings Kyler and Faye develop an intense attraction to each other and try to deny it as much as they can, especially because they are cousins. After some back and forth and some really heated moments they both conclude that they can no longer deny their feelings, despite what everyone else thinks. Maybe it's a little squicky that they are cousins, but it didn't bother me too much, and I could see how much Faye really cared for Kyler. Kyler was a little harder to read for me, and I sometimes wondered what he saw in Faye, maybe it was how strong willed, independent she was, that she wasn't like the other girls he had dated who only wanted him for his money and fame.

Even though it ended on a cliff hanger, some things were wrapped up, others just starting to get going, but I Felt like the book didn't end in the middle of a sentence or something like some books I've read, which infuriated me. Kyler and Faye made the decision to be together, and to tell their family in a few days once things calm down with Keaton who I believe was in trouble with the law. But I can't believe the bomb shell that was dropped on me!

There seems to be some interesting sub-plots developing that have me interested in reading the rest of the series as well regarding both the cousins and uncle. I just hope we don't get too many books about the brothers as I feel that might be overkill.

A week or so after reading this I'm still thinking about it and what's going to happen in the next book. My only hope is that each brother isn't going to get a spin off because I feel like that would take away from the core characters.

So here's what drew me to request this title - forbidden romance, a girl from Ireland, similarities to one of my favorite series from last year, The Royals by Erin Watt, young adult angst, and 7 hot sons. Not all necessarily in that order. Having read Siobhan's work in the past I felt sure I would enjoy this, especially since contemporary romance is so easy for me to get swept up in. I didn't discover until after being approved for the title that this story dealt with forbidden romance between first cousins. So there's your warning there. I figured...hmm...this is stretching my comfort reading zone by a lot, but I'll give it a shot and try to keep my preconceived feelings (perhaps due to geographical location) pushed aside. After all, great works in literature by Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte, and others, often wrote their love stories about cousins. I realize in history this idea was widely accepted and not at all scandalous. I also realize that not all countries have the same laws and stigma surrounding relationships with first cousins, or distant cousins. After a quick google search in the US, cousin marriage laws vary state by state and way more than I realized (including the one in which I live) it's legal. Huh...who knew?! Still, perhaps because I grew up close to a lot of my first cousins, I find the idea repulsive. It may not be illegal where I live, but it's still socially unacceptable and very taboo. I suspect that's the case in a lot of places. So I had to take a serious step back to get into this story. Since the MC's didn't know the other existed for the first 18 years of their life - one growing up in Ireland and the other in the States, I was able to be more open to the idea.

I appreciated the author's note at the beginning about some of the verbiage being odd because Faye is from Ireland and as such will speak differently than the teens in the States do. A helpful glossary of commonly used words or terms is listed in the back.

To the story itself. Yep I was sucked in! Even with all the similarities to The Royals (such as a wealthy family with a lot of seriously good looking sons (Kaden, Keven, Kyler, Kalvin, Keanu, Kent and Keaton), an unknown guardian showing up out of nowhere with legal custody to the girl, mean girls at an incredibly elite private high school, the sons who won't accept the girl right away and are downright hateful, secrets among each member of the family members, among many others...), I was still able to enjoy the atmosphere and the story line.

Obviously the main plot is that Faye and one of the brothers, Kyler, form an attraction to one another but fight it due to the familial relationship. There's a giant cliffhanger at the end that, if I'm being honest, I was like "woah - stop right there! This is an issue that I'm not sure I can overlook or overcome." But because I can't look away....I HAVE to know what other secrets have yet to be discovered and what's going to happen next. There are issues with several of the brothers that I have to know more about. Secrets abound and my curiosity is too peaked to not return for book two.

I positively adore the Saven series. I really need to get to work on reading the True Calling books. I’m now finding myself in love with The Kennedy Boys, after just one book.

Upon finding out the final Saven book was delayed due to a contemporary read, my inner fangirl started to die a slow death. Could I wait so long to find out how the amazing series was to end? I didn’t know, but my heart was beating out the tune of how I’m rather impatient when it comes to awaiting promise filled books. Despite this, I was more than a little bit intrigued to see what Siobhan Davis had to offer in her new series. It was something different, something away from her norm, and I wanted to see how it played out.

It’s a sad fact that when authors try a genre outside of their norm, things can go one of two ways. They can create something wonderful, thus leaving us all hooked. They can create something below par, something that leaves the fandom pointing them back towards what they know best. Fortunately, for Siobhan Davis and her fans, this is a case of falling into the former category. Whilst Siobhan Davis can write a wonderful young adult science fiction novel, she can also write a great young adult contemporary read.

Finding Kyler is the first in what is to be The Kennedy Boys trilogy, and from the very start you are pulled into the story. It begins on somewhat of a cliché note, but such a thing is necessary. It is one of those big events that turn the life of our main character upside down to set everything into motion. If you’re a fan of young adult contemporary reads, then you know to accept such things. These things are unavoidable, they’re necessary to get the ball rolling. Which is exactly what happens: the ball starts rolling instantly with our character being dragged across the ocean to start her new life.

Thrown from the everyday life and into the life of the reach, it is another aspect that has been done before – but as with her other work, Siobhan Davis works it in such a way that it instantly becomes her own. Our main character deals with this change in life in a way that very few characters do. After all, how many times can you say you’ve seen someone thrown into the life of the reach and famous get a waitressing job? It’s the seemingly little things that all come together to make this book unique, the apparently small aspects that make this book well and truly its own. I really could say so much about the tiny aspects that make the book unique, but I have no wish to spoil the fun. Thus, I’ll move on to the bigger things.

This book is filled with so many aspects. We have our main character finding herself. We have romance. We have revenge. We have lies and deceit. Nothing is limited to just one person – everyone seems to be involved in something. Siobhan Davis knows how to make an onion of a story, adding multiple layers, and this book is no different. Throughout we have questions, and whilst some things are made clear, by the end of the story we have very little by way of knowledge. We have no idea what is going on with certain characters, we have no idea what the truth is, and we’re left wanting to know more. All of these things come together so well, and it’s so much fun watching the way things develop throughout.

In terms of the romance, I’ll say this book will not be for everyone. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the whole cousin aspect of the story. I come from a rather large family, and whilst I’m not in contact with all of my cousins I don’t think I would ever be able to think about them in the way the main character thought of hers. Even those I know of only by name, those who live in another country, I wouldn’t be able to. It’s the mere knowledge of them being cousins. This, however, does play in with the whole prejudice aspect of the story. The way people think and react is important to the way in which the story plays out, adding more to the story. Whilst I wasn’t crazy about this aspect, I also didn’t hate it. Basically, just know this story will not be for everyone.

As for the ending… well. I knew something was going to come about at the end, but I’d been hoping it wouldn’t be that. I was crossing my fingers that things would go in the opposite direction. Of course, I cannot complain because it means there’s to be a lot of drama in the next book. Honestly, it has me so curious to see where things go from here. The number of lies and the deceit – wow. It’s one hell of a mess, and I really want some answers to everything that is going on.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. Siobhan Davis has proven she is more than capable of writing outside of her science fiction norm, and I’m super excited to read the rest of the series.

As a final note, I would like to thank the author for allowing me to advance read this story.

The cliffhanger queen is back in action ladies and gentleman! I seriously cannot get enough of this book. Finding Kyler was sooo damn mind-blowingly good!

Faye Donovan's world turns upside down when her parents die in a car crash, she has to take a double take on her life when she learns her new guardian would be her uncle who she never knew existed. Now Faye is thrust into the glamorous life of the Kennedys where she doesn't feel welcome at all. But she can't keep Kyler out of her head, how much she wants to. She knows the feelings are inappropriate as he is her cousin but when the lines blur between reality and fantasy and secrets threaten to come out of the closet, what would Faye ultimately choose?

I LOVED this book! The plot was so intriguing and I enjoyed every moment of this book. The forbidden romance enhanced the aspect of the story even more. After Faye's parent's death, Faye has to live under the guardianship of her uncle who has seven (freaking seven... which means more goodness to follow!) sons. Except for Keaton, none of the other brothers is that welcoming and ultimately Faye's struggle begins to live in a whole new world than she was used to.

As a character driven book, I couldn't be happier with the set of characters I got to read in this book. All of the characters are richly layered (no, I am not talking about my favourite dessert but the Kennedy boys can be considered close to that...) and complex and none of them are devoid of flaws I loved this fact about them.

I loved Faye, she was a strong and stubborn character and quite mature. Kyler, on the other hand, gave the vibes of a typical bad boy but I definitely loved when we got to see the other side of him. The angst was absolutely perfect and their chemistry was sky-rocketing. I LOOOVED the romance between them! I definitely had a hard time putting this book down, even when it was past 3 am.

The other characters were pretty enjoyable as well. I loved the friendship between Keaton and Faye and Kalvin was pretty fun too. I soo want to know Kalvin's story, especially after how this book ended. And that brings me to the freaking ending which exploded in our face, just like that!! I freaking seriously can't wait for the next book!

Overall, Finding Kyler was a fantastic read! I loved how the plot was executed and I enjoyed the character growth. The chemistry between Kyler and Faye was absolutely undeniable. The writing was smooth and the pace was even throughout the book.

Recommend it?

YES!

"I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own."

I was so excited when I heard Siobhan was going to write a contemporary romance. She is so good at creating characters that I knew it would be something special. I was not disappointed. If you enjoyed The Royals or Tijan's less dark books, you will LOVE Finding Kyler.

The Kennedy's are American Fashion Royalty running their famous Kennedy Clothing Line. Faye is a recently orphaned Irish girl. The Kennedy's are rich, arrogant, dysfunctional; they are a Brand. Faye is a normal, middle class girl. Faye's life has already been turned upside-down with the deaths of her beloved parents. Now she is expected to move to America to live with her previously unknown relatives; her mother's brother, his wife, and their 7 sons. She's expected to be a Kennedy, to fit into a world of wealth where everyone seems only out for themselves.

This book is so good! Siobhan has created a family with so much depth, I can see/hope for a dozen books about them. The characters are so developed and this family is surrounded by so much drama. From Kyler's intensity and control to Keaton's lightheartedness to the total mystery of Keanu, each of the Kennedy boys ooze sexiness and trouble. With a family this big, we only get glimpses into several of the brothers, but each has a secret or story to tell. The world of privilege that they live in only deepens their allure.

This book focuses on Kyler and Faye. They have an immediate connection, but neither is interested. There is also hostility on Kyler's side. Their interactions are tense at every level; sexual, angry, confused, lustful. You know they are meant to be together despite the taboo of being cousins. It's not illegal, but it's also not accepted. They fight it, but some things are meant to be. It's not always pretty between them. Kyler hurts Faye, and you hurt along with her. But the payoff is fantastic. They are explosive together. As the Kennedy family falls apart, they only grow closer. Love this couple!

This is a well paced, well-written, multi-layered story. Emotions are pulled in so many directions. It's absolutely addictive. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. And the ending! Warning: it is a cliffhanger and it will leave you desperate for the next book. I can't recommend this book enough; it's so very good! Siobhan has found her place at the top of this genre.

When I heard Siobhan Davis was writing a contemporary romance I was immediately curious how she would pull off this genre. After finishing Finding Kyler I can only say she rocks this genre! Finding Kyler is an addictive read that I didn't want to put down once I started reading. It has the same character and relationship focus, drama, foreshadowing and cliffhanger endings that I am used to from her other books.

I never imagined an author could put just as much foreshadowing, hints, clues and mystery in a contemporary romance as in sci-fi romance, but Siobhan did it. From the beginning I started guessing about backstories and having these theories of what was up with everyone. I loved it! There is a bunch of characters in this book and everyone has something to hide, their own secrets and their own problems. I did manage to guess the big twist at the end and I was quite pleased about that. I don't think it was too obvious, but you could figure it. The ending is a brilliant cliffhanger ending, that makes me wish the next book was already released.

This book is filled with drama, a lot of the drama is the good type of drama and I enjoyed reading it. But there were also a few instances of miscommunication and lack of communication drama, which I wasn't a fan of. There are also a few scenes that didn't sit quite right with me and a few times where I thought Faye went a bit too far with what she said. But even though I rolled my eyes a few times and wanted to shake some sense in the characters.

I liked Faye as a main character, she isn't afraid to speak her mind and she can take care of herself. Although I did feel that this went a few times into the mean category. She wasn't afraid to insult someone back or retort to violence to emphasize her point. She was sassy and always had something to say, I liked how she stood up for what she wanted and made things clear to others. I do wish we had seen more of her Irish influences, as while she comes from Ireland and then moves to the US. I didn't really feel she was Irish except for a few words she used and I also didn't really feel the US setting came alive. The high school drama almost had a bit of an over the top kind of feel like the kind you see in movies and books.

Besides Faye we have her uncle and his wife and their 7 sons. Yes 7 sons and their names all start with a K. I sure had some trouble keeping the cousins apart, although it did get better as the book progressed. There are some of the cousins we see more of than other, mainly Kyler, Kalvin and Kaeton play a bigger part here. The other cousins we get to know a bit less of, there are scenes with them, but I didn't get as much of a feel for their personality. Overall I liked the cousins, this family is so messed up and they sure do some stupid things, but I also started to care about them and they are so broken and messed up at times I just wish they all met their match that could steer them in the right direction and have someone to care for. There is a great scene towards the end were they all rally together, but there are also scenes that show how divided they are. These character really are messed up and at the same time I couldn't help but grow fond of them.

There are also some new friends that Faye makes, like Rosa, Lana and Brad, who all play their part as well. I also liked how even with such a bunch of characters it rarely got confusing, I only had some troubles with the cousins as their names all start with a K.

At first I wasn't quite sure about the romance and I never fully warmed up to Kyler, although he does show a sweeter side as well. Kyler seems to run hot and cold, being downright mean to Faye and then being super thoughtful the other moment. I felt like he solved his problems in all the wrong ways, but just like the other cousins he also was this messed up and broken boy who could use the love and care from another human. The romance between him and Faye is a bit of a forbidden romance as they are cousins and even though it isn't illegal, early on it's obvious there is a lot stacked against them. In true Siobhan style the romance has it's up and downs, deep pits and then highlights that make me think these two are great for each other after all. It's a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions with the ups and downs. There is potential for a love triangle and knowing Siobhan and her previous books I wouldn't be surprised if it goes there in the second book.

To summarize: filled with drama, forbidden love, foreshadowing and a great group of characters with all their own problems and secrets, Finding Kyler is the addictive start of Siobhan her new series. I couldn't put this book down when I started reading. It was very additive and despite some issues that I had, I was hooked. I love how Siobhan manages to even put foreshadowing in this book and quickly I was guessing and forming my own theories about the secrets characters kept and their backstories. I was pleased I managed to predict the big twist at the end, there are enough clues to figure it out, but it still manages to feel like a big surprise for the characters and it wasn't too obvious. There is a great cliffhanger ending that makes me wish the second book was out already. Faye is a great character who can stand up for herself, she's sassy and doesn't hesitate to talk back, although I do think sometimes she went a bit too far with her insults and she retorted to violence sometimes. Faye has 7 cousins and it was a bit difficult to remember who is who at times as their names all start with a K, but by the end I was doing better remembering who was who. This family is so messed up and they all make their share of mistakes, but at the same time I can't help but grown fond of these characters. The romance is a bit of a forbidden romance, there is some hot and cold behavior from Kyler and I never fully warmed up to him, but there are some very sweet moments as well and by the end I did think these two were good for each other. All in all this was an addictive read filled with drama and a group of memorable characters and I can't wait for book 2!

I love Siobhan Davis. She is a wonderful author and one of the sweetest women you will ever meet. I have read everything this woman has put out, but I have to say this book made me nervous. I actually took a while to even decide to read the book because I didn't know how I would feel about it. I can say that I still loved the book very much and she wrote it in such a way that you couldn't help but fall in love with all the characters.

Faye is such a wonderful character. I tried to picture her as Irish but since the book is written in an American style I had a little issue with it, but that is my fault not the author's. I felt so bad for all she had to go through with her parents dying and being moved to a different county. I know the feeling of loss well and it is hardest thing I have and will ever go through. I know I barely could make it through so the fact that she was able to go through everything that happens to her in this book is worthy of praise. She was such a strong willed character and it was refreshing. She made me feel a confidence that I wish I had when I was back in school. She wouldn't let anyone tear her apart and I was proud of her for that. She stood up for herself and what she believed in no matter who had anything to say about it. Even though she was headstrong, she was also very down to earth and a total sweetheart. Once you got past her wall you got a world full of love and acceptance. I definitely can't wait to follow her in the other books to come.

The Kennedy boys are a rowdy bunch. I won't say that in a bad way. They all seem to act like they have to hide that they have hearts from the world. All of them lash out to try to seem all big and bad, well except Keaton, he seems like a sweetheart the whole time. You get to know each of the brothers a little bit, some you find out more on than others. I feel like I really got to know Keaton, Kalvin, and Kyler. Keanu is missing in action due to his career so much and Kent keeps to himself to hide his pain from the world. There is also Kaden and Keven but since they are both at Harvard, you barely get to see them. I have to say I don't think I can pick a favorite brother, I love them all. I thought about it before I even sat down to write this and couldn't narrow it down to just one. It's a tie between Keaton, Kalvin, and Kyler.

In typical Siobhan style, there is indeed a cliffhanger....well let me change that, there are two. One you get in the last little bit of the book and the other one you literally get on the last page. It had me wanting to go run and get the next book, but sadly I'm in book limbo and having to wait for the next one to come out. It will be well worth the wait I am sure.

I loved this book so much and even with the taboo items within the book it was still very enjoyable and had me flipping page after page to see what happens next. I was prepared to possibly have this book as a Did Not Finish, but after the first couple pages, my opinion changed very quickly. I thought sci-fi was her thing, but now I see that this woman can literally write anything and it will turn out wonderful. Now for me to go nurse my book hangover and wish upon a magic star for the next book to come out!

Faye's parents just died and now she is being dragged half way across the world to America to live with an uncle she did not even know existed and his family. She realizes that she may be in over her head when she sees the level of wealth her new family has, as well as the loaded hostility from one of her many new cousins, Kyler. Faye sees the loneliness and heartbreak within Kyler since it matches her own, but his prickly exterior keeps her at arms distance. But she wants to be much closer, regardless of what is right.

I will admit that I was drawn to the story because of the taboo. So sue, I love a good inappropriate subject book, and yes I have read Flowers in the Attic and Forbidden, both books with even more uncomfortable family situations. I can say that this one was definitely my favorite inappropriate read, and I think it was because of so many other factors that the story also had. There were mystery elements with all the other brothers that Faye found herself in the middle of, there was tons of drama be it family or high school, some hot moments and overall it was a really compelling book with good writing.

The book was narrated from Faye’s view and we get to see the transition she makes from a very broken girl into someone comfortable with who she is. I loved the dynamic between her and all the brothers, and how she can be such a big part of their family now. Before I mention Kyler, I just want to say that I kept hoping that Faye would start dating $$$(Adam??) because that would have made everything so much easier, and he was such a nice genuine guy. So anyway, Kyler. I really wanted some of the story to be narrated form him since half (ok most) of the time I had no idea what he was doing or thinking. The back and forth between the two created a tension I never even saw building until I was on the edge of my seat, totally uncertain what I was rooting for. Together? Apart? I really don’t know. I blew through the book in only one sitting because I could not put it down and I had no idea what direction it would go in next.

I have already told lost of people they need to read this incredibly engaging train wreck of a book, and I honestly can't wait until I can get my hands on the next book in the trilogy. This book is not for everyone, be aware of that before reading. I have read other books by this author and this is now my favorite.

I received this title in return for my honest review.

Hmmm.

Where to start?

Should I start with a warning?
--Finding Kyler deals with a romance between family members.

Maybe I should mention that it ends on a cliffhanger?
--It ends on a whopper of a cliffhanger.

Should I warn you that you’ll find yourself invested in not one Kennedy brother, but desperate to know what’s going on with every Kennedy brother?
--Beware, you’re going to want to know what’s going on with every Kennedy brother.

I don’t read much young adult these days, but I do have a couple of authors that do YA well that I love. Penelope Douglas for one. Tijan is fantastic. And, now, I can add Siobhan Davis to my short list. Finding Kyler is everything you could want in YA Contemporary Romance/Family Drama.
This first installment in the Kennedy Brothers series introduces the totally effed-up Kennedy family that rules the small town of Wellesley, Massachusetts. These brothers are moody and angry and each one is harboring a secret that you want to know right now. I felt like a kid in a candy shop as I read, wanting everything. Immediately. And, I haven’t even mentioned Mom and Dad Kennedy, who are holding some cards close to their chest, especially Dad, who’s holding the ace of spades.

But, Finding Kyler is cousins Faye and Kyler’s story. Faye is suddenly orphaned and sent to live with an uncle she never knew existed. Leaving Ireland is bad enough, but when she’s thrust into the middle of the Kennedy drama life becomes a rollercoaster of emotions and drama. Faye is easy to like, a no-nonsense young woman who sets the moneyed people of Wellesley on their heads. Kyler is not happy to welcome his new cousin, who he takes an instant dislike to. But, there’s no denying the instant chemistry between him and Faye, nor their soul-deep connection. Davis writes sexual tension that’s off the charts and I found myself rooting for this couple even as I shuddered at their familial connection.

Part Gossip Girl, part Pretty Little Liars, part Kardashians, Finding Kyler is a fun, fast paced, heart wrenching read. Book two, Losing Kyler, debuts in March and I’m already eagerly anticipating it.

Finding Kyler is the first book in the The Kennedy Boys series by Siobhan Davis and it's Faye Donovan and Kyler Kennedy's story.

Faye Donovan's life changed when her parents died. As an only child, she lived a modest life with her parents in Ireland. Now, she lives in the USA with a rich uncle she never knew of, his wife, and their seven sons. Faye has to adjust to her new life, all the drama surrounding the family and the community, and especially the weird attraction she feels for Kyler Kennedy, her cousin.
Kyler Kennedy changed when he found out his girlfriend had cheated on him with his best friend. He became more withdrawn and doesn't want a relationship. His only focus is motorcycle racing. But everything changes again when he meets his cousin, Faye.
Will Faye and Kyler fight their attraction or succumb to it? What secrets is the Kennedy family hiding?

I loved Finding Kyler! The story took me in a rollercoaster ride of emotions with its drama, mystery, suspense, and sexy scenes. The romance between cousins is a taboo that made me feel a little bit unconfortable, but as I kept reading, it disappeared. I loved Faye's Irish colloquialisms.
And the cliffhanger?! Oh.My.God!

Faye Donovan is a seventeen year-old girl whose life changed drastically. Her parents died and when she tought she was all alone in the world, she finds out she has an uncle and that she as to move with him. There were times she was very vulnerable but she could also be very strong. She is very confused about her feelings for Kyler and tries to fight them.
Kyler Kennedy is moody, arrogant, withdrawn, and hot. He is a bad boy. His best friend's and his ex-girlfriend's betrayal changed him and now he only cares about his motorcycle and racing. He can be really mean towards Faye, but it's his way of fighting his feelings for her. Sometimes he can be very sweet and gentle.

This is my first book by Siobhan Davis and she didn't disappoint! Finding Kyler is an amazing book, full of emotions and with great characters. She was able to pull me in from the first page and I couldn't stop reading. I can't wait to read more about Faye, Kyler, and all the Kennedy boys!

"Damn," I say fanning myself. "I think I got pregnant just watching."

Just like the first time I read this book I'm completely lost for words. With a forbidden love that is 10 times hotter than Cruel Intentions and a bunch of mean girls who put Kathryn Merteuil & Regina George to shame, this book has everything you need to quench your thirst for hot showdowns and b****y meltdowns.

Faye's life has changed forever. While losing her parents isn't hard enough, a stranger is uprooting her and moving her across the Atlantic to start her life over again. This isn't your normal guardian takeover though, not when your uncle is the owner of one of the biggest fashion brands in the world and has seven (yes you heard me, seven) demigod like creatures for sons. Not only are they filthy rich, filthy hot and just filthy in general, life is about to take an unusual turn for our Irish beaut. If all this wasn't enough to take in, an attraction to one of her cousins keeps her on her toes, she is melting... literally melting. But when fantasy becomes a reality, how far are they willing to go before anyone gets hurt?

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how crazy this is? and the ending?! HOLY SHIZ! How do you come back from that?! My stomach is turning, and my head is in a hazy crazed situation of working out what the hell is going to happen in the next book.

Ok, so the whole cousin thing I found it really hard to get to grips with at first, it made my skin crawl. I think it's because my cousins are like brothers to me and we have grown up together, the thought of any of them near me makes bile rise up in my throat and I shudder. The more the story goes on I feel for them and it starts to melt away, this whole shock factor has worn off and I like to see both them happy. Do I agree with it? No, it's completely taboo here but it still makes me realise that if one of my friends told me they were with their cousin, I would get over it and it would eventually become normal.

The seven brothers and all their names beginning with K completely confused me, even second time round but the family tree that Siobhan put in really did help. I took a photo of it on my phone and went back to it at certain parts of the book and it cleared my confusion up. They all have their certain parts to play, Kalvin is your hot easy type that girls hate to admit that they are attracted to. Keaton is so sweet he rocks you to your core and I'm still trying to work him out, is he straight? He seems to have issues of his own. Then we have Kyler, your moody, hot, withdrawn male who oozes sex appeal and is broken beyond repair, cliche? of course, but who doesn't love these types!! You would be crazy not to like these guys.

Then we have Brad, he absolutely oozes sex appeal and I couldn't get enough of him. His story leaves you wanting to wrap him in cotton wool while shooing the wolves away. He gets the crap end of the stick most of the book which just makes me fall for him even more.

I have mixed feelings about Faye, one minute I love her, the next I'm not too keen on her. She would make a horrible spy, she was forever getting caught ease dropping and being in places which she shouldn't while jumping to conclusions then always thinking she was right. Then she would do a 360 and I would be on her side telling her to kick ass and don't bother what anyone says!

This book is the type for people who love Erin Watt, Tijan, Emma Chase, Ali Dean and so on. It's your all American teenage drama romance that us mere mortal chick flick loving ladies can't get enough of! Go on, it's a guilty pleasure.

"What have use two done?" His panicked eyes latch on Kyler's.
"It's none of your business," Kyler grits out. He holds his chin up in a defiant stance.
James looks horrified as he stares at his son.

I recieved a review copy from the awesome author and decided to leave a review due to this.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I didn't want to put this book down. It immediately drew me in.

Faye Donovan has lost a lot and is forced to move to the United States to live with family she never met, never even knew existed.

The Kennedy's are a large family each struggling with their own problems. Wealth doesn't buy happiness and this family definitely is not happy. There are 7 brothers who's names all start with K. Each and every one of them suffer from their own problems then you throw into the mix a mother who has built a clothing empire and a father who put his own dreams on hold to raise the family while his wife built an empire.

Faye is thrown into a new culture not only coming from Ireland to the US but also in coming from a working class to a wealthy family where appearances are everything.

Keaton, Kalvin,Kyler and Faye each build unique relationship with one and other. It's interesting to see these relationships grow. Kent is often in trouble. Keanu is often with jis mom modeling for Kennedy apparel. Keven and Kaden are away at Harvard but make a few appearances. Faye also makes friends with Rose and Brad who each seem to have their own problems, although Rose seems to have the least.

This book has drama and a lot if it. When it seems like the family is starting to make progress by taking one step forward they seem to take 2 steps back. I found myself constantly rooting for the family to come together and to find happiness.

I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read the rest. I usually wait to start a series because I hate having to wait to see what happens next. I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and I thought it was great. I was sucked into Faye's world from page one and it was hard to put down. Siobhan Davis has done it again and I can't wait for the next book!

Faye Donovan's parents have died in a car crash. Consumed by grief, she drinks it away. But soon she finds herself leaving her home in Ireland for America; her parents' will states that she should live with her uncle, James Kennedy, whom she did not know existed until that day. Faye is reluctant to move, but soon she finds herself bonding with the boys and enjoying the place. But riches and a perfect lifestyle come at a cost...

Finding Kyler contains a truck load of conflict. Disputes fuel the storyline, and add to the plot like fuel encourages a flame. Although she tries to be, Faye is not excluded from this "rich, upper class" hostility, her heritage and relation to the Kennedys of no help at all. These complications range from teen queen divas to cheating husbands and family issues.

I connected well with Faye. I relate to a lot of her problems and daily struggles. Kyler is moody, one of the "lock everything up and hide behind an emotionless wall" type guys and I see the pain he's endured through Faye's clairvoyant perspective. I think his past with Addison should've been revealed in full to Faye as she told him all about her past. Kalvin is a tease, but there is a gentleness under his facade. I liked Brad's character even when Faye was warned from him.

Siobhan Davis orchestrates a world where dirty secrets can drag you down, similar to the high stakes New York of today. The Kennedys and their high profile name draw a lot of attention, often unwanted although they use the fame to their advantage. Threats spill as an unknown force works behind the scenes to break friendships. This sinister force hides in the background, a mystery waiting to be solved. The mystery is what made me enjoy the book the most because it is a hidden, subtle kind of mystery resembling a burning question waiting to be answered. Finding Kyler explores the tale of a heartbreaking forbidden love in this Upper YA Contemporary Romance.

Wow, so that was unexpected. I knew going into this one, that it'd be a little out of my comfort zone, but some of my favorite books are so I dove in.

The beginning of this book and several chapters in had an extremely close storyline to Paper Princess and I was little worried about that. By the end, I wasn't comparing the Kennedys to the Royals anymore.

This series touches on completely different subject matter. Was I 100% comfortable with the story line? Nope! But I was completely intrigued by this couple.

This story is full of teenage and high school angst and drama so its never boring.

Book one leaves us with a MAJOR cliffhanger! I honestly can't tell you or imagine how the author can work this relationship out at this point. But I want to see what she came up with!

If my review is confusing it's because I can't put too much here. What I will say is that this worth the read if you go in with an open mind and just read the story.

On to book 2!

I liked this book, it has a similar plot to Paper Princess and I like the YA genre. In this case, I like that Faye is Irish, with all the idioms from that country. Faye has lost her parents in a car accident and an uncle from the US that she didn't know about has come to collect her and take her to live in the States. He and his wife are extremely wealthy, have a clothing empire by the name Kennedy creations and they also have 7 sons. All their names start with K, so it was a little confusing at first. Also, the letter K appears painted, embroidered, soldered or emphasized all over the place. Faye naturally feels a little overcome, but she's plucky and straightforward and soon starts to deal, with her new family. I liked, that she has an ingrained sense of honor that shines thru in all her dealings with the family and friends. Kyler is the third child in the tribe, sullen and moody, and aggravating at first. Of course, they feel the chemistry and start to deal with it. Then all the opposing forces come into play. First, they are Catholics and first cousins. Secondly, Kyler has a vicious ex-girlfriend with suspicious motives and an ex best friend who also liked Faye. Sounds like a double love triangle! And to complete it all, there's school bullying and her uncle and aunt are having marital problems. Dysfunctional much? In summary, I liked the story but it had two negatives in my opinion. One was the tone of the writing, incessantly serious all the time, intense, with little comic relief. The second was too much stuff going on, it was a relentless action line, gathering speed and force, until it ends in a dramatic cliffhanger. Felt like a sopa opera at times. However, it was riveting and I can't wait to read the sequel.

So I was told since I loved The Royals I would love this. I did not love this book. It was an extremely entertaining read. I was pulled in by the messy characters, and the story kept me guessing. But I did not love it, the reason being, it was a little too much like the Royals. I felt like I was reading it all over again. Finding Kyler had some extreme differences, but there were so many similarities in regard to Royals. I think those differences kept me reading though. I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I hated these characters so much that I started loving them...lol. I wanted to shake Faye, Kyler, James, and Addison. I yelled at my Kindle and damned the characters. I. Could. Not. look away from this train wreck!!!!!!!! I enjoyed this torture a great deal. Sometimes it feels good to hate...lol. I am invested in these characters at this point and I can't wait to see what happens. The time line that was introduced in this book was kind of confusing... I have to see how it plays out. Please read this!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with Natasha. This was a little too much like the Royals to completely fall in love. It was completely entertaining and even captivating in moments. Sometimes reading these stories about high school students is difficult for me because I don't understand this type of drama at 16. However, the craziness made this a quick read as I was flipping through the pages anxious and excited to see what was going to happen next. It was definitely a train wreck that I couldn't look away from and now I NEED to know what happens next. The timeline had me confused as well, so I need to see how it shakes out and how the author makes sense of it.

This book was intense! I love the cover and the characters were pure YA angst and drama and crazy personalities. The fearless female lead, Faye Donovan, lives in Ireland and a tragic accident kills her parents and the only life she has ever known is turned upside down when she finds out her guardian is an uncle she has never known about. When he flies her to America on his private family plane she finds out James Kennedy is part of the famed Kennedy clothing empire and they are filthy rich and celebrities by default.
America is a culture shock with the snobbery and mansions and private schools but nothing can prepare her for the seven male cousins she has to live with and they don't take kindly to a new family member in their midst. Her first meeting with Kyler Kennedy brings fireworks and heat and the attraction is instant but the fact he's her cousin and acts like a jerk reins in her thoughts. But living in close proximity and getting to know him and his psycho ex girlfriend makes for plenty of drama and questions to find out more about what makes Kyler tick.
Are her cousins friends or foes as they finally warm up to her? Which females can she trust at her new high school? Each chapter pulled me into her world and I can't wait for the next installment as the cliffhanger ending has me counting down until the next book brings answers!
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

Let me begin by saying that story lines involving possible incestuous relationships, much those involving young adults aren't my usual taste in reading, but I jumped in anyway. That being said - the spirit of V.C. Andrews should be nervous. Her Dollanganger series has some serious competition with The Kennedy Boys. This is the first book I've read by Siobhan and having finished it, I promise you, it won't be the last.

From a clearly thought-out story line to well-developed characters, Siobhan has done a wonderful job successfully combining adult themes with young adult drama. Obviously, at 42 I'm not the typical audience for YA books, so they lose me at childish behavior and adolescent angst, but with the way it was written, along with the no-nonsense approach Faye has to the ridiculous behavior of her classmates and fellow peers, I didn't have one iota of desire to bail from this book.

Siobhan took a risk with the type of relationship between the two main characters and it paid off for her. I did suspect the plot twist, but only because I'm warped and can't wait to find out the ending so I develop little theories along the way. I was delighted to see I was right in this case, though.

I look forward to reading the next book in her series and others she's written as well.

Oh, and in all fairness, I was approached by Siobhan's assistant a couple weeks ago and asked to review an advanced reader copy of this story, which I did a bit apprehensively (again, not my usual pick). I'm glad she did because I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would recommend it to anyone wanting a sexy read. It was hot without being tasteless and sexy without being vulgar. Excellent job, Siobhan!

This book is a departure from Siobhan Davis' other novels. It doesn't take place in space, no dystopian/utopian societies, no aliens, and no one dies. Instead it is a modern story. Faye, is a 17th year old Irish girl that has been ripped from her life by the death of her parents. She is suddenly thrust into a wealthy American family that she didn't even know existed. The family has 7 boys - aged from 21 to 15 - whose names all start with the letter K and the last name Kennedy. Even though they aren't THE Kennedy's, they live a glamorous lifestyle where everyone wants to be them or live with them.

The story was dark and there are a lot of secrets. In many respects it reminded me of a VC Andrews novel. The characters were slightly off and the perspective slight skewed. This isn't a criticism, just the nature of the story. Even though the family had money, power, and prestige they didn't have a perfect life.

I typically give Siobhan books 5 stars as she is one of my favorite indy novelist. I gave this one 4 stars. I am eager to read the rest of the story and perhaps will revise my ranking when the rest of the novel are completed. My criticisms: 1) the time line seems off. James last saw Faye's mum ~18 years ago when he was 19 and she was 17. Somehow James has 19 & 20 year old sons. 2) some of Faye's and the other kids behavior doesn't match their age. You have 15/16/17 year old boys having sex with everything in skirts and heavily drinking and their parent's don't seem to have a problem with that.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review and I would first of all like to thank Siobhan for giving me the chance to be one of the first to read it. So Thank You :)
Using a phrase that would probably be in the vocabulary of Faye, our young protagonist, I was totally gobsmacked! A roller coaster of emotions and the icing on the cake - one helluva cliffhanger! What a wait it'll be for the next one!
The author has turned her hand to a YA/NA contemporary romance, a sort of family saga, away from her usual YA dystopian/science fiction novels and she certainly doesn't disappoint.
Left an orphan following her parents' tragic accident, Faye finds herself having to leave her native Ireland to go and live in America with the uncle she knew nothing about. It turns out that her uncle's family is part of a wealthy fashion empire with a brand name that is known worldwide. On top of that, Faye discovers she has 7 hot, swoon worthy cousins, ranging from 15 to 21 and whose names all begin with the letter 'K'. One of them in particular catches her attention but he is off limits. Will Faye be able to deny this attraction? Can she cope with their rich living, notoriety, bad boy behaviour , family drama and the mean girl jealousy ? Faye finds herself thrust into a world so different from hers but she is one tough cookie.
If you're into drama with a capital 'D' , then this is the book for you!

This book... Just wow.

When I was approached to read and review this book, I barely skimmed the blurb, so I think that's why the whole "cousins getting it on" took me by surprise. To be honest, I'm glad I went into this book with a totally unbiased and open mind because Siobhan Davis pulled me in so quickly. The book felt a bit slow but towards the 30% mark, it picked up and I couldn't put it down until I finished the whole thing.

Faye loses her parents due to a drunk driver and basically overnight she discovers that she has an uncle who lives in America with his eight teenage sons... That would make my head spin as well. When she moves to America to live with her only living relative, she learns how different America is to Ireland. And the move leads Faye to fall for her cousin, Kyler.

This books was so enjoyable for me! I'm waiting for an ARC copy of the next book. I loved the writing style and the glimpse into so many characters' storylines. I am so glad I got the chance to review this book. I know you will not be disappointed! I'm rating this book 4 STARS out of 5 STARS . Go get it now!

This is a hard one to review, not because it's bad or anything but mostly because I'm just not sure how to put all my thoughts together.

Although there are aspects of this book that are weird or hard to truly take in, ie. they are cousins, I can look past that. I can look past all of it because the ending! I want to know about what the heck that all means! All through the book I had ideas of the turn out so the cousin thing wasn't so weird because I feel like Kyler and Faye are super cool together, but nope it ended like that.

For now I'm so interested in James and Alex, James and Faye, the Kennedy Brand and What is going to happen to Kalvin!! Like I want that next book like yesterday. But mostly I just want to see into the mind of James, and also see what really comes of what was revealed in the end about he and Faye.

This is a book that will test your limits on what you find morally acceptable. But regardless there is just so much more than just a love story. Im intrigued and I sorta hope that there is more than two books in this series. Because however different this family is, however much something might make you squirm a bit, they are 100% interesting, there are so many lies, so much angst and drama, you wont want to drop this one.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.

Finding Kyler was a very well-written YA romance, rife with teen drama, a gutsy heroine, and a tough-guy hero with a soft heart. The plot-driven story clips by at a rapid pace and the reader never wants to put down the book.
The teens seemed fixated on sex more than I believe is realistic. The extreme wealth and good looks of the family—with eight boys, no less—was far-fetched. And the mother of all these kids was skinny and beautiful, even after carrying triplets. Right. A teen fairytale. I’m sure a lot of teens fling around foul language on a continual basis, but I prefer not to read it. I also like books that resolve at the end rather than require the reader to complete the rest of the series to find out what happens to the main characters. Though in America, the characters often “sorted” their problems in the UK meaning of the word. It made sense for the Irish heroine to use the word in the UK sense, but not the American characters.
The action of the story is so rapid-fire that the reader almost doesn’t get to fully enjoy the brainy, brave main character. Obviously, I’m not a huge YA reader, but I think most fans of YA romance would rate Finding Skyler as a great read.

What in the world????

Love a good Y/A book with drama. This has that plus more.

Faye leaving the only life she ever knew, to live with a family she never knew she had!! She entered a whole new life, but it was kind of like her old life in Ireland.

There was mystery, drama, a few good laughs, a few sad tears as well. All the good makings of a good book.

Faye lost family, but gained family as well. The more she uncovered from her cousins the more she learned she really didn't know her mom at all. That is where the mystery comes in.

Having 6 male cousins takes the cake. But what tops it is that they are hawt, rich and supposedly a distant relative to the Kennedy's.

Each cousin was in their own battle. Faye saw it, however it escaped her aunt and uncle. Kyler was her biggest battle to overcome. The sizzling, pop electricity of feelings she felt whenever they were close, was hard to fight. Kyler was no good boy either. He had his past, Addison!! Talk about mean girls.

As they fight to be together, because you know cousins hooking up just isn't right. The big secret comes out and boom.......you're hit with it!! Your jaw dropping to floor, saying wow I didn't see that coming. What in the heck was that??
Now where is book 2 so we can see what happens next????

First I would like to thank Siobhan for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book, this was my first introduction to her writing and I really enjoyed it.

If you liked Paper Princess by Erin Watt you are going to like this book, they are similar in the sense that they are like a rollercoaster ride, this book is full of plot twists and mysteries, I had no idea that Faye and Kyler’s story was going to be longer than one book so the entire time I was waiting for things to clear up and for answers but instead of answers I got more questions.

The story progresses rapidly, things happening all the time with not much time to meet all the family but I’m thinking maybe they’ll get more books in the future, and while I did enjoy the relationship between Faye and Kyler I did wondered once or twice if things were progressing too fast for them it it was another case of insta love with these two and that bothered me a little bit.

Throughout the book I found myself wondering a lot about the rest of the Kennedy boys and in the ending I got even more invested in their future.

Siobhan is taking her writing to a new level with this series. So far, she has written amazing and highly suspenseful Young Adult fantasy series. Now, she is taking the romance to a new level.

If you have never read New Adult, you should a little cautious going into it. Siobhan’s version of this writing is very young adult based BUT the steamy romances are DEFINITELY more descriptive. This is not a genre that younger audiences should be reading since the language used is tended for the 18+, mature ages. It pretty much is a YA book that takes the romance passed the next level and almost to the home stretch.

**I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion. It was not influenced in any way.**
The relationships in this book were VERY DRAMATIC. I felt like every character was involved in some sort of crazy, dramatic crisis which becomes all meshed together in a ball of what-is-going-on moments. It gets crazy guys to say the least, so if you love reading this type of content, this book will be perfect for you.

Siobhan did not leave out her ever-so-lovely, epic cliffhangers so far in this series. The ending left me jaw-dropped and bug-eyed. I DID NOT see that curveball coming!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The writing is beautifully written with a ton of spins to it that will make you fly through the story in no time. I could definitely tell a difference between this style of writing in the New Adult fashion versus her other series which were more low-key Young Adult novels. I gave this starter a 4 out of 5 star rating. The ending made me want the next book ASAP!

The content in the story wasn’t predictable which is nice to have in a romance novel since most of them are VERY cliché. The forbidden romance isn’t what you think it would be. Trust me, you will need to read it for yourself. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I wasn’t a huge fan of all of the perverted drama between the boys. It started to get old pretty quick, but then again, that could have been something the author wanted to portray with this series.

Two fractured hearts...
A forbidden love they can’t deny...
Kyler Kennedy makes her head hurt and her heart race, but he’s her cousin...
He’s off limits...
Concealing their feelings seems like the only choice...
But when everyone has something to hide, a secret is a very dangerous thing...

Such a heart-wrenching read full of fun and a mind-blowing romance which is highly forbidden. I loved reading every moment of this sexy read - I just couldn't get enough of it that I stayed up all night reading.

So dark. So seductive. So alluring. So freaking brilliantly written.

Full of loss, love, family, reputation, enemies, secrets, lies, betrayal, a forbidden romance, scandal, dysfunctional families, teen soap-opera-style angst and drama, mean girls and catfights, lust and love.

Perfect for readers of forbidden romances/contemporary romances.

Whew. This one took me out of my comfort zone. Tragedy rips Faye from the life she loves in Ireland, and she ends up in America with family she did not know existed. Her seven male cousins are... intense. Almost instantly they get real sexually aggressive towards her. In front of their parents. Their father scolds them whenever they say or touch her inappropriately, but no one really has the reaction I would expect. Even Faye.

I was a bit surprised by how few characters in the book were actually repulsed by the idea of cousins hooking up. There were even some who encouraged it. I really like Faye as a character, and I feel for her and Kyler and all they have been through. I just can't ship incest.

That being said, I could not put this book down. I loved the other characters and all the drama of this completely f-ed up family. They all have secrets, and we barely got a glimpse of them in this first book. What happened at the end literally made me sick to my stomach, but I will definitely be reading book two. I have to know where everyone goes from there.

I generally liked this book - and am reading the second. It was quick paced and full of drama and secrets and twists! I felt like the ending was just too much, though. I kept waiting for some sign that Kyler and Faye weren't actually related - because I have a real problem with two cousins getting it on. UGH. I wasn't a fan of how the book seemed to push the reader to be open minded about two cousins being intimate, and that if you didn't agree you were a closed minded bigot with backwards thinking. Pretty sure sharing genetics is wrong in most people's eyes. Anyways.

I liked the story - and I'm just praying that down the line Kyler and Faye prove to be unrelated. If that's they case, then the story will be fantastic. If it's not.. I can't say I'll be a huge fan.

I was also put off by how almost all of the same characters used the exact same wording in multiple situations. It made the whole book feel unrealistic.

ARC review **
This is my first book from this author. I have to say it was very addicting and I had a hard time putting it down. I've read books with step brothers and have felt fine with it but this book out reaches what I thought I would find wrong. It pushes boundaries and makes you question everything. In the end I was rooting for Kyler and Faye's love!
Having the 7 brothers with their names all starting with K was a little hard for me to follow with who was who except Kyler and Kalvin but none the less still loved them all.

This story was well written and had me guessing what was going to happen on the next page or what would the next chapter bring in this crazy family. (hence why I couldn't put it down!) Not to mention there're so many others in this book that help to create the drama.
I was in complete shock with Lana and the big mystery behind her and I don't for a second think Addison had nothing to do with that ending for Kalvin (blackmail?) James on the other hand has gotten himself mixed up in so many deceits I don't trust him for a second. It has all I crave. Mystery, romance, and drama. I'm very anxious to read the next book!

I struggled with reviewing this book because of the kissing cousin's angle. But once I removed that from the equation, and evaluated it on a level with traditional romance, it was excellent. Each of the characters had a very distinct voice and authentic personality. Accomplishing this feat with 7 brothers AND all the ancillary characters proves Ms. Davis is a true craftsman.

This family is seriously messed up, but I loved learning about each of their individual stories bit by bit. It was interesting to me that, despite all hot boys Faye was surrounded by, none affected her on the primal level that Kyler did. Each of them saw something in the other that resonated. Faye and Kyler tried to stay away from each other, but the pull was just too strong. I guess it just goes to show that you can't help who you're attracted to.

3,5 *

This new series is a contemporary YA romance. Some hot guys, an heroine we can relate to, maybe or maybe not, well... many similarities from other books I've read. They ask me to read it and told me I would love it.

What can I say:

I think it was a good read, the writing was quite fluid, easy on the words. I didn't feel close to the characters right away. I don't mean I have to like or dislike them. Young or Adult make the same mistakes.

It begins with a rough start with a terrible incident in the first paragraphs.

A move... changes can go right or go really wrong. Life can push and pull us, nothing is what we think or dreamed of. No one teaches us. We have to make the best of every situation and wish all the best. Family secrets, cousins relationships, a quest to find someone who somehow got lost and try to gain trust to pick back the thorn pieces.

We can find drama, angst, and of course a cliffhanger...

It was a fine read.

This is the first book I have read of Siobhan Davis and I must say it is breath of fresh air that her writing, grammar, and editing are exceptional.
The characters are all mysterious, flawed, and have hidden secrets of their own. Faye does not even have time to mourn the loss of her parents before she is whisked away by an uncle she did not know existed to live with an Uber Rich American family. Faye is a strong young woman and does a good job at keeping it together while coming to terms with a lot of new things in her life. Faye's strength helped her fight her way through conflicts and despair. Faye had an immediate connection with Kyler and even though they tried to fight their feelings they realized they needed each other and made each other happy. The boys' father James is the reason behind all the conflict and turmoil. When James finally revels the major secret everyone is left spinning and I am looking forward to the next book.

Angst, drama, secrets and more angst. I enjoyed the story for the most part, but it felt like a repeat of a few other books I have read. There were many similarities but also some uniqueness. I had to work through the kissing cousins taboo. Even distant cousins are off the books for me but that's just me. However Kyler and Faye make you root for them. Faye can hold her own in most situations. Kyler is the brooding bad boy with some added drama. The story twists and turns and gives you plenty to keep your mind flowing. With all the secrets and angst you will be entertained. At times there was too much drama and sometimes I just wanted to skip through it. I will follow the series just to see what happens and to get more on the brothers.

OMG I absolutely loved this!!

Finding Kyler by Siobhan Davis is the first book in the brand new series called The Kennedy Boys.

Faye lives in Ireland and something happened that meant she discovered she has a long-lost relative in the States. Her relative is uncle James who then flew over to take custody of her and bring her back to the States.

Uncle James has 7 (!!! yes seven!) sons and they are all drop-dead gorgeous. Faye found herself attracted to Kyler who emits the bad boy vibes. There's definitely tension between Faye and Kyler right from the start.

It's difficult for Faye to start her new life in the States, living in a massive mansion with the Kennedys and starting in a new school but Faye handled everything well.

I really enjoyed this particular genre and it's different from the author's previous works.

The ending to this book was OMG and once again Siobhan has created a cliff hanger that means I'm counting down the days until the next book!

This book!!! I have literally set up a reminder to start checking as of April 1st to see when the 2nd book comes out. I could not put this book down. I love Faye's attitude about life, her maturity to see how outcomes will effect the future and her strong willingness also...and Kylar, OMG, I knew I would love him from the moment he was introduced into the book! The back and forth between them kept me on edge. All that Faye has overcome and had to move to a new country only to fall for Ky was a great storyline. Ky has plenty of family drama and secrets as well, but has a heart underneath all that hardness. Only to decide to come out in the open with their love to have A BOMB dropped on them!! I literally stayed up all night knowing I had to go to work the next day to read this. I was shattered at the end, but I still loved it. This was my first book by Shiobhan Davis, but I have added her to my author's list and have got some more of her books to begin reading. Writing in this is wonderful. She has a great way with words and ways that make you feel, which is what I want to do in a book. I read to escape my own drama, so this was great for me. So, now the countdown begins for the next book....This has been added to my favorite's list. This is a MUST READ!!!!

This is the first story I've had the opportunity to read by Siobhan Davis, but it certainly won't be my last. In this tale of forbidden romance, you have Faye, an Irish girl who's lost her family in a tragic accident, only to move to the US and move in with a new family she never even knew she had.

Fate has a way of twisting her life up even more in the form of six new gorgeous "cousins." (one of whom she can't stop thinking about.) Kyler is everything she wants in a guy, but the stigma against dating your own cousin ultimately becomes their biggest down fall to a happily ever after.

I won't say much about the plot of this book, only because it's something you need to experience for yourself. I will say this, if you're looking for a story that will test your comfort level, making you believe that love truly can be found with anyone, then this story is exactly what you need in your life. Finding Kyler is fresh, sexy, and everything your romance loving heart desires. I highly recommend this read and guarantee it's one you'll never forget.

Being a fan of Siobhan Davis, I was nervous I wouldn't like this book due to it's taboo element. I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised. I should have known that Davis' writing would make all the difference in the world. From the beginning of the book I found myself so connected with the main character, that I took on her views of the subject and was able to just enjoy the roller coaster ride of her romance. Faye and Kyler are a couple that you end up rooting for against all odds up until that final mind blowing, soul shattering cliff hanger.

I haven't read the books that people have been comparing this to, but I will say that if you are a fan of Gossip Girl and things like that, you'll likely enjoy this book. I do caution though, that this is not Young Adult as people have called it, I'd definitely call this a New Adult book. There are parts that get pretty steamy and some content that might be unsuitable for those under 18.

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this book to read prior to it's release and voluntarily reviewed it.

I have read a few books by Siobhan Davis and have enjoyed them all. I was excited when I was asked to read Finding Kyler - a yound adult book that is the beginning of an awesome series!!

The story starts with Faye - a 17 year old Irish girl - who has recently lost her parents in a fatal car accident. Shortly after the funerals, she learns from her lawyer that she has an uncle - her mothers brother - who is supposed to be her guardian. Her uncle shows up and she is whisked off to the USA. She is introduced to the uncles family -- 6 boys and lots of money. There seem to be secrets in regards to the Kennedy family that she slowly learns. I don't write spoilers -- but OMG OMG OMG - what a story!!! You will find (like I did) that this book is hard to put down!!!

So looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!!

I was enthralled when I read the plot of this book because it is very much similar to Erin Watt's Paper Princess. The circumstances are the same. Both started when the female lead character is left alone because of a tragedy, in this case, Faye's parents died in a car accident. Both lead characters were taken by a legal guardian. The difference this time is Faye is taken by her uncle and the other lead character is taken by her father's bestfriend. Both families are insanely rich with insanely hot male siblings. Both characters fall with one of the brothers who very much stand up among all of them. Also in this case, you would think of incestuous events. Both authors are brilliant in their own way of writing.

Davis wrote the story beautifully, full of intrigues, angst, passion, bullying, revenge, romance and mystery. Once ypu start reading, you can't stop. There are OMG moments at the end.

I was given an advance readers copy by the author that I chose to voluntarily review.

This is one of those series where just cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. I was pretty blown away by the characters Davis created. There are seven hot brothers, each distinct, realistic, and entriguing. I'm guessing my heart will be out of my chest with every book in this series. Right away, the story starts to quickly bloom. I enjoy an author who can keep me guessing. I read this book in one sitting and it was sure worth it. This series isn't going to be like any of her other books. However, the way she builds tension between the characters is perfect. She's able to fold in a controversial subject that hasn't had much coverage. She even slyly placed her pros and cons on this subject using supporting e characters. I do believe writing is an art for her. I just wish there was less time between now and book 2.

I was given this book to read, for providing an honest review. I am not compensated for this review.

I could not put this book down and it was with a weird fascination that I kept reading all the trials and tribulations throughout this book, I mean it seemed to me that there was so much going on with this family that it would have been totally possible for the events that happened to play out. I mean the husband was cheating on his wife, she was constantly busy with work thus leaving teenagers pretty much left to their own devices.

I do want to warn that there are some adult situations in this book that some parents may want to be wary of if purchasing for their teenagers. But I think that we also need to keep in mind that in some cultures this type of thing is not frowned upon. I would recommend this book for a mature reader because of some of the content, but overall I felt that it was an enjoyable book.

I stumbled upon this this book because I was looking for a series similar to 'The Royals' by Erin Watt. I have to say that I am extremely excited, and pleasantly surprised to have discovered Siobhan Davis and her amazing Kennedy Boys! This book has 7 sexy brothers! Yes I said 7! When an author you enjoy tries her hand at a new genre, you get all kinds of nervous-excited. I mean I knew the writing would be great, but would this genre and this author work well?

I'm pleased to say yes, it's worked.

But it's not worked for me in terms of the protagonist and her love. I'm far more interested in the rest of the family, the friends Faye makes...okay really I loved it for everyone else but Faye and Kyler. And it's everyone else that will have me read the rest of the series as they come. Not forgetting that holy heck of a cliffhanger. I mean it's clear something is up, but I certainly didn't entertain the possibility that what was up, was what it was.

Faye and Kyler just aren't my kind of people. Fortunately the other folks in that world are, and I'm keen to read more about them.

Finding Kyler is a book that definitely makes you open your mind. Some people may have issues with cousin relationships, but once you accept that it's not uncommon outside of the US you will fully enjoy meeting Faye and the Kennedy's. Faye loses her parents tragically and is pulled from her home by the uncle she's never met. The Kennedy boys (7 total all with K names) are all different and Siobhan captures the close knit family within the chaos. This book made me want to know more about the family, their drama, and the Faye/Kyler relationship. At times it was had keeping track of which brother was which with all the K names, but by the late middle of the book you've come to know their personalities. I cannot wait to read the sequel since this one leaves you with a huge cliffhanger. I voluntarily received a copy of this book in advance. This review is of my own opinions.

All opinions expressed are my own....Finding Kyler was my introduction to author, Siobhan Davis, and her first book in The Kennedy Boys series. Oh my Wow! I had read the brief synopsis, but was not prepared to be completely drawn in by the first chapter. Faye is this part tom boy, part girly girl, super sassy girl from Ireland. Due to tragedy is forced to finish high school in the States, living with relatives she never knew existed. However said relatives include 7 brutally hot cousins. The push and pull electric current between her and a brooding Kyler is smoking hot! Without giving away too much, I have to say I love that the little bit of taboo makes this story all the better. I couldn't put the book down. With the cliffhanger ending, I am going to have the hardest time waiting for the next book.

I'm not gonna give any spoilers but you will be blown away at the ending! Siobhan Davis is the Queen of Cliffhangers! When reading this you will feel the emotions of the characters and get emotionally involved in their lives, some you will hate, love and some you will have mixed emotions. You will be left with trying to figure out what happens next and imagining the futures of these characters, but...you will need to read the next in the series to find out what really happens! This book is one of my favorites that Siobhan has written. You will not be disappointed in this book...except waiting for the next one!

Finding Kyler is the first installment of The Kennedy Boys series by Siobhan Davis.

I want more! Haha. Finding Kyler was a great push and pull kind of story. Faye Donovan lost everything, but in away she didn’t. Instead of staying to grieve, she’s whisked away by an unknown uncle into the American Dream.. with seven cousins that don’t want her.

Even though she was thrown into their lives, she’s isn’t about to be a doormat or someone they can easily picked on. I love the spunk she had and along with the way she held herself up even with the tragedy she was processing. The writing and storyline were a breeze and I highly enjoyed the story. I look forward to reading more by Siobhan Davis.

Highly recommend if you love the hate/love romances.

The good: Romance, twists, turns, brooding Kyle, and damaged Faye. The plot to this book is wonderfully well written. It brings you into the Kennedy family and makes you care for not just the main characters but the other boys in the family. Add on the forbidden cousin relationship and you have a story you won't want to put down. The bombshell cliffhanger insures you will be heading to the next book ASAP to find out what will happen.

The bad: I had a hard time with the whole cousin thing for a lot of the book. But if you can get past that the steamy push pull is pretty well done.

The epilogue: This book is for fans of the Royals series as well as anyone who enjoys a good angst ridden push pull relationship.

Voluntarily reviewed in exchanged for a copy.

I got an advanced copy of this book to read for a unbiased review. Not really spoilers but people definitely have different ideas of spoilers so be prepared!

First of all, I LOVE this Author! Siobhan Davis is a great Sci-Fi writer and I was overjoyed to find out that she writes great other genres too. A little bit of a touchy romance subject, but I enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down until I finished it. I was really hoping for the story to turn out a bit differently, but I can't wait to see where the author goes with the next book. Definitely a HUGE cliffhanger at the end which I was wondering about the whole book but thoughts were confirmed at the end. If the authors track record for great book series stays the same, I know the next book will be as good as this one! Can't wait to read it!

I received this copy of Finding Kyler free for my honest and voluntary review.
OMG. This book was something else. Let me tell you. It left me shocked, disgusted, and rooting for Faye and Kyler. It was nothing at all like I though it would be and that is so refreshing. Siobhan really nailed this book and it left me in disbelief. To say my emotions are running a little ram-pit right now is an understatement. Forbidden love, mean girls - basically high school hell - family issues, friendship issues...just to name a few of the major things going on in this book. I could not put it down from the moment I started reading it. It was/is completely worth the book hangover I got the next day after I stayed up all night reading.

Absolutely unbelievably fantastic story of Tyler and Faye. Loved, loved, loved it!!! He is one of the seven Kennedy brothers - his family is filthy rich. Faye is an orphan whose parents were taken from her in a tragic accident. She is taken from her home in Ireland to America to live with the Kennedys. Oh boy. What a wicked web we weave there.
Cannot wait to read the next one, and the next one, and the next one. Guess I liked it, huh?

I received an ARC for an honest review. Let me start by saying this is my first book by this author. I absolutely loved it and will be reading more of her books right away.
I have to warn you though, It is a cliffhanger. I really hate cliffhangers and would probably have waited to read it until the next book was coming out.
That being said the story was compelling with angst like I like it but not stupid misunderstandings that make you want to rip your hair out. The heroine is strong and sweet, but has fire to her. The hero was just the right amount of jerk and good guy.
The storyline kept me guessing. I'm purposely being vague as I don't want to give anything away. It was well worth my time as I read it in a day.

Wow! The gossip, the scandal, the twists in this book had me hooked from begining to end. Never a dull moment. I need the next one right now! This book reminded me of tv series like gossip girl and pretty little liars. Actually, it's better, I hated the slow pacing of pretty little liars and only got through a few episodes. Not here. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Seriously, grab a copy and read it! Now that I took a short "commercial break", I'm off to read book 2. Bye.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of Finding Kyler, This book was fantastic with a lot of drama, fights, and a bond with a family. One young girl has to leave her home in Ireland to start a new life with an uncle she never knew about. Going through trails, fighting and forming new friendship she also finds love, mix in new family drama and you have a great story. I love this book and cant wait to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this book to everyone that loves to get caught up in drama, girl fights, and forbidden love. Awesome book and I couldn't put it down from the moment I open the book. Thanks for a chance to read your story cant wait for the other two.

*I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review *

Wow, I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I could start by saying that I have read many of Siobhan Davis' books. I first came across her books starting with the Saven series and read all of those as well as her Tru calling series. I'm a sucker for YA science fiction! In those series the Author did a tremendous job creating what I like to call a whole new world/ universe. Even though those books took place on earth we are introduced to many new ideas and concepts. I loved those books so much that I wasn't quite sure what a non Sci fi book from this author would be like. Would there be twists and turns and unexpected events? The answer is You betcha!!

Finding Kyler is about an Irish girl named Faye. She unexpectedly looses her parents and is sent to America to live with her uncle James, his wife Alex and their 7 sons who she didn't even know existed. (bless their parents! I have two sons I could never imagine 7!) Fayes' family isn't just anyone, they are beyond wealthy due to a successful clothing business. Faye arrives and sparks an immediate connection with one of the sons Kyler....Although he isn't very welcoming in their first meeting the two pretty much can't kick the feelings that they are drawn to each other...you read that right....Cousins that end up in a relationship. I'll be honest, this idea was a little strange to wrap my head around. As time went on, even though they are cousins, so much happens between them and other characters that the author does a great job almost making you want to cheer them on like they belong together.

At first it was a little hard for me to get into the book and the characters, but then once I got to know the characters more I didn't want to put the book down. I actually stayed up til 430 am reading. What I loved about this book is that there were so many layers and I still feel like there is so much that we havent found out yet. I liked Fayes I couldn't give a crap attitude. Why is Kyler so broody? What happened in Fayes past? These questions as well as many more are answered in the book. If you like drama, romance, and wealthy hot guys than this book is for you. Take note that there are several sexually explicit scenes as well as language. Were all of our questions answered in this book? No, they weren't. In fact the book ends in quite the cliffhanger that I was not expecting. Definitely didn't see that coming, which is why I can't wait to read book 2 and hopefully understand what the heck just happened??

Going into the series you're aware that there is going to be some forbidden love. I went in more or less knowing what I was getting into. The themes really make you push your own boundaries, and give ideas you may have not thought about (or already have strong feelings about) and are not for the faint of heart.

Faye was an easy character to fall in love with, and really root for. Her extremely painful events bond you to her very quickly and she seems to be one of the more relatable leads Miss Davis has written. She is flawed, and raw, and full of self preservation..

Many of the conflicts felt natural and very exciting. I read the book in one long go, even skipping sleep to finish it. Her writing is fun and easy to follow despite the plethora of people to keep up with. The characters are relatable and the strife of growing up being the new kid people don't want to give a chance endears you to Faye even when you're skeptical of her life decisions. I felt, however, that the locations weren't very descriptive so it was hard to feel like I was building an accurate picture in my head.

By the end I tentatively was rooting for the forbidden love, and upset by the (Realistic!!!) reactions they were having to come to terms with.

All in all, I can't deny that it's a good book, even if I don't agree with some of the subjects. There is no reason to take points off for that, so my single missing star is due to poor character building outside of the Faye and Kyler. The odds of me reading the following books are pretty high.

This is the first book I've read by Siobhan Davis. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of the book to review and am glad I did. Wow. I couldn't put it down.

I Instantly felt for Faye who lost her parents in a tragic car accident and finds out that she must leave Ireland to live with an uncle she'd never met. Upon her arrival to the US with her uncle, she meets her aggressive cousins who are all boys with whom she'll be living with. An instantly strong connection with her cousin Kyler can't be ignored.

This story is full of family drama, teenage antics, forbidden love, and plot twists that make it impossible to not keep reading. Honestly. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole cousin thing and how the book ended. But the author writes in such a compelling way that I have to know what happens next with Kyler and Faye. I'm hooked.

I look forward to reading more books in the Kennedy Series.

A story of heartbreak for one young Faye. 17 years old and both her Mum and dad die in a car accident, she is sent to live with her Uncle and his family. She wasn't aware she had an uncle or aunty and cousins until after the funeral. Faye moves from her life in Ireland to America where her uncles family live. Faye wants to fit in even if she doesn't want to admit it. shes always wanted more family. Her cousins were 50/50 on her being there, but once they got to know each other most of them liked her.
Faye however has fallen for one of her cousins Kyler Kennedy. but its not smooth sailing with his ex sniffing around.

Ms. Davis has done it again. This book is everything I could have hoped for. It definitely has her signature style packed into it. There were a lot of twists in this book and even though a few of them were predictable and I knew that we weren't told everything that needed to be said by the main character, Faye's, uncle, James I didn't see that final twist coming. And of course in true Siobhan Davis fashion she left is hanging there.

Take a moment and imagine that the only family that you have ever known is taken away from you and you're left with nothing. Now you are left heartbroken and on top of it you are being forced to move across the ocean to live with relatives that you never knew existed and upon arrival most of them hate you. That's the situation that Faye finds herself in. And things just keep attacking up against her. Right when things finally start going her way the world shifts again and she is crushed under the weight of something else. I felt bad for her and wanted to defend her. Ms. Davis has the ability to make you forget that you're reading a work of fiction. And I absolutely love that. We are in for some pretty big revelations in the next book. I can feel it and I can't wait.

I highly recommend this for fans of The Royals' saga. I'm sorry if I'm spoiling anyone, but the two of them are similar. Except here there's the factor that they are cousins, which creeped me out a little at the beginning.
The plot is alright, the characters had personality (which is more than what I can say of some others YA), and the writing was OK..
What I liked most was the cliffhanger, as it was absolutely mind-blowing and left me wanting more!
For some rich hotties and atypical relationships, read this book.

Alright, the first of the book was 'grand'-as h likes to say- just kidding it was a total rip of Paper Princess just about but with cousins. I honestly don't know whether I like this or not. I'm waiting for the curve ball that Kyler is not James son so I'm still gonna read the next book. Btw this isn't a spoil it's a hunch- that's probably right as it usually is.

Now the reason I'm definitely continuing.... I love the side characters more than the H&h. I guarantee I'm one of the few that want a book for Zoe.

Finding Kyler by Siobhan Davis involves an intense plot and new adult content that make this story racy and not for the faint of heart or prudish. The main character loses her parents in a drunk driving accident and is forced to live with her uncle and his family. She didn't even know of the uncle's existence until she learns he is now her legal guardian. Reminiscent of Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews, I can see this becoming a very popular series with its controversial content. Siobhan Davis' writing is well done and cohesive with believable characters and true angst, 4 stars!

Okay. First of all, I really like this new genre that Siobhan has tried out. I can see why she worked so hard to finish this book so quickly. Secondly, got an ARC of this book and am dying now that I have to wait for the next one.

I thought that perhaps the wealth/status of the family was a bit far fetched in the beginning. But, I can definitely see where the storyline may be headed into the second and third books with it.

Kyler was a hard character to like. I did like Kalvin and Keaton better. I really enjoy Faye's character. I am intrigued by the James/Courtney/Alex drama and want to see where that goes. Also. Cliffhangers. Augh!

This book was an incredibly sexy and frustrating rollercoaster of dysfunction and forbidden love! I instantly fell head over heels in love with the Kennedy boys - especially Kyler, Keaton & Kalvin! It's impossible not to get caught up in this story and in the lives of these people. Kyler leaves you with constant whiplash and frustration but you'll find yourself crazy over him anyway. Faye is a tough girl despite all that she's faced. My heart bled for her. She's strong and fierce but the level of love in her that she is still willing to share and the lengths that she's willing to go to in order to show her care is beautiful. I was swept away and could not put this book down. Addison, Kyler's ex, makes you feel murderess rage with every appearance. She epitomizes the villainous female and she earns your dislike instantly. I can't say enough about this series! Siobhan Davis paints such vivid and gut wrenching imagery that you'll find yourself sucked in, immersed in Faye & Kyler's bumpy love story and never wishing to come up for air. Meet your new book boyfriend in Kyler Kennedy and prepare to become infatuated. Of course, who can resist a bad boy with a treasure trove hidden inside? ❤

WOW! I liked this book. The Kennedy family is definitely dysfunctional to the max! Hey, I thought my family was bad but these guys have it hands down. The boys are hilarious at times and all are handsome, built, and rich. I should definitely add cocky to the list also. I especially like the sweet Irish cousin that is orphaned and must come live with this crazy family. She has her own problems and especially losing her parents in an auto accident. She is smart and tough and doesn't take crap from anyone. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an advanced reading copy.

This was a very very interesting read. I am a huge fan of Sibohan, and she's an incredibly talented author. I loved Faye's character instantly, she was strong willed and smart and confident without being overly so. We start out awful with tragedy taking her from her parents and Ireland and dropping her into America with her uncle, aunt and cousins she never knew existed. Strange enough start there, but them most of her cousins shamelessly flirt with her, and right in front of the aunt and uncle. And no one really stops them, sure the dad yells if they touch her, but the flirting was no big deal apparently. None of them main characters really had an issue with it either, I get there no law and they fish grow up or know of each other, but it's such a taboo topic. Does make for one hell of a book though--full of drama.

I really, and truly enjoyed this book. She did such an amazing job of fleshing out the characters, while creating a convincing atmosphere filled with anguish, teen mean girls, hot guys, forbidden romances and devastating grief and betrayal. I really enjoyed reading this novel, but the romance between first cousins kind of turned me off. All I could picture was kissing my own cousin, which kind of made me throw up a little. After the horrific death of her parents, Faye Donovan has no one else she can count on…or so she thought. Suddenly, she’s being sent to live with the Kennedy’s. No, not those Kennedy’s, but these people are just as filthy rich as any of them. And, according to her parent’s will, she must live with an insanely rich uncle she never knew about. Whoa, talk about intimidating.

Right away the reader feels for young Faye as she battles the devastating loss of losing her parents and being shipped off to live with a stranger in another part of the world. The thing is that she doesn’t know how to deal, so she drowns her sorrows, hoping to numb the pain. But that all seemed to change when she meets Kyler, one of the cousins, whom she finds a sizzling attraction for. No, it wasn’t love at first sight because Kyler starts off as a total douche bag that opposed this whole living situation. Keep out of my way and I’ll keep out of yours. What a warm welcome. Of course, once she enters the mansion, she sees that it’s nothing but a beacon to male hotness and obnoxious testosterone. It’s a rich boy’s club!

Needless to say, Faye has a tough time adjusting, especially living in the rich boy’s club with their crude remarks and inexcusable behavior. That alone would annoy me to no end. But, soon, Faye realizes that Kyler is different somehow. Yes, he’s a nagging pain, but that’s because he is in pain, which she can relate.

Overall, story was well-read with some lagging areas here and there. It was kind of hard to keep track of all the Kennedy boys. To me, they all seemed the same—all screwed up. Obviously, this centered on the connection between Faye and Kyler, but how inappropriate to fall for your cousin? That has scandal written all over it, especially when you’re a Kennedy.

This book didn’t intrigue me as much I expected. I thought it was too complicated and daunting. I mean, who wants to hear the problems of a bunch of rich kids? Just drama, drama, drama.

Family tragedy, community drama, teenage angst, and forbidden love all combine into a fast-paced weekend read. This new series is consistent with what I have always expected from Siobhan Davis' writings. Her writing style is top notch and the storyline keeps you interested and eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. It was a pretty good book. The girl loses her parents and has to move to America to live with rich relatives she never even knew existed. Throw in some family drama and a surprise ending and you have a pretty intense book.

I was hooked from the start!! What a thrilling and adventurous story. Faye is tragically orphaned and then finds out she has a long lost family. Moving to America was something but meeting her cousins was the icing on the cake. Wild, sexist, swoon worthy hunks. She has so much to learn and needs all the help she can get. I was given a copy of Finding Kyler by the author in exchange for an honest review. I am a big fan of this author. Her characters are well developed and always complex. I'm curious to know what will happen next and since Davis is a master of plot twists and turns, there is no way to anticipate where things will go. The Kennedys are a dysfunctional family and their wealth magnifies their weaknesses and their strengths. Adding an Irish cousin, a beautiful girl, into a house of 6 brothers complicates already complicated relationships between mother, father, brothers and friends. And adding that girl to the school population threatens to upset the hierarchy and sets jealousy and hate into motion. I can't wait to read the entire series!

The beginning has the most number of disagreeable people I have ever read about. Later in the book I find that most of them are using their nasty behavior to hide their heart. This first book has all of the Kennedy boys in it. Some are more prominent in this book than others.

I received an arc of this book in return of an honest review.

The book was amazing and so enjoyable to read, I have read other books by this author and have loved them also and I certainly was not disappointed by Finding Kyler.

The story starts of with seventeen year old Faye being uprooted from her home in Ireland to go live with her Uncle, who she never even new existed and his wife and seven sons after the death of her parents. It takes some time for her to adjust to her new family especially when her cousins aren't particularly welcoming to her at the beginning.

There's so many twists to this book that you don't see coming and it really was a fantastic read and I really really can not wait for the next in the series as this book ends in a cliffhanger and I am desperate to find out what happens next for these great characters and I can't wait to see how their story plays out.

I hope this comes back around to be very relevant considering the author dedicated so many pages to this first impression upon two characters. These two characters are well developed in this scene and the emotion and tension is built perfectly.

2) It's too overwhelming to have so many characters & then they all start with K, not to mention the redundant K's all over the scenery. The triplets could just be one person for all I care. The fact they look the same, their names start with K. From a reader's standpoint this is too confusing and unnecessary.

3) It's unbelievable that an entire family would reject a family member who has lost her parents regardless of who they are in the family. The dislike is evident.

4) The speed to this point is agonising. So many words & not a lot of prose. Lots of scenery and lots of details that are irrelevant to the story and does nothing to push the story forward. It's just filler.

5) Clearly the Kennedy's are wealthy, but I take it that Faye is not. Not much description on her life in Ireland. Rags to riches?

6) Everyone around Faye seems to have forgotten that she's grieving yet no one seems to notice this until hindsight...aggravating. This wouldn't be normal in the average life, even unaverage people would still be mindful.

7) At this point everyone is faceless to me because there's so many characters right off the bat.

8) LET'S NOT FORGET, THEY'RE ALL FAMILY...AND KALVIN WANTS TO "DO" HIS COUSIN...HIS FIRST COUSIN. I have a first cousin and no matter if I grew up with him or not, I wouldn't be attracted to him. That stigma (personally speaking) runs to deep. It'd be like having a crush on your brother. Just weird!

9) Prediction: I suspect that James and Alex are truly married and James IS Faye's true uncle, but I believe Alex and James have adopted all the boys. The Twilight reference is what gave me the idea. Faye leaving Lana's house once her parents return saying, "then I'll leave," in the same context as Edward to Bella. So many references in the same context is sad.

10) I stand corrected. Alex actually gave birth to her tribe of boys. Hmmmmm. Something's up with the "uncle".

11) Kalvin is enlisted as the "thrill seeker" but short of riding a motorcycle I don't really see him seeking much thrill other than pissing his dad off and sexually frustrating Faye. (Advice: watch a couple first person point-of-view Youtube videos like snowcat. This will help you write a better motorcycle scene. By the way, no one can lift a person by the hips "off" a motorcycle. Physically not possible).

12) Addison's part in this book reads as a Mean Girls movie sequel.

13) The author doesn't give the reader much credit. We're pretty smart, no need to over explain or be redundant as if we have dementia and can't remember what's going on in the story.

14) FAVORITE QUOTE: "Reaching down, he grips my hands and spreads them firmly across the expanse of his stomach. My thighs slide forward on the leather seat until I'm pressed solidly against his back. All my soft parts meet every delectable hard part of him, and I inwardly swoon. His potent masculinity is enthralling and it never ceases to draw me in, but it also intimidates me a little."

15) Building tension is key and riding on a motorcycle into the woods just to hug your cousin inappropriately is not considered thrill seeking or "building tension."

Conclusion: I lost interest in this book at chapter 23. The plot was lacking stamina, the characters became flat and the bases to the story was borderline gross. I did skip to the end (as I do all books I lose interest in) and was shocked to find out the truth behind my suspicion of the "uncle" character. Just made my skin crawl.

I don't really know what else to write because I don't want to put any spoilers out there. I will be VERY interested to read the next book and see where we are going with these stories. The Kennedy family is very intriguing and will definitely keep your interest. ENJOY.

I received an advance copy from the author. Obviously, I enjoyed the book. It definitely kept your interest, making it difficult to put down. If you enjoyed The Royals, you should enjoy this book, as well. The book involves a tragic event, which sends the main character to live with a family she didn't know she had. The wealthy, but extremely dysfunctional family, is completely different than what she is accustomed. There is a good story line with the love interests with a unexpected twist, leading to a cliffhanger at the end of the book. I can't wait until the next book is released. I loved that these kids are strong and mature....a few issues I let go because it is such a great fun read. I knew what was coming at the last second but it wasn't what I thought for the whole book. I was looking forward to the next brothers story but just as glad Kyler and Faye still have more to go... Can't wait for the next books

I’m always up for a bit of a taboo read but I was a little iffy since it mentioned a direct relationship between the main characters. I feel like many readers will be put out by this or not even pick up the book. So it’s definitely geared more for readers who don’t have issues with taboo. I was hoping that there was a twist and that it wouldn’t be an issue. Well…I’m not going to spoil it.

There were some inconsistencies with the scenes and how fast they changed, unexpectedly. Didn’t have smooth transitions so it took me out of the story a bit.

What I did like were the characters. Each one was unique and I was drawn to know more about them. My favorite was Keaton. He gave Faye a chance from the beginning.

I read this pretty quickly which means it kept me intrigued. It does have a cliffhanger which is expected since its number one in a series. I think I’ll give the next one a chance.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance, complimentary copy of this book as supplied by the author’s assistant. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

It was a good book that had some good twists and turns making you want to continue reading the story to find out what happens next and also to read the next books in the series. I did feel that some of the stuff was kinda predictable for this genre of book, but then there were some things that came up that I wasn't expecting.

Hats off to Siobhan Davis for once again taking me some place I never thought I would go! This book was sent to me to review, and without spoiling it for you, I highly recommend you read it for yourself. It did take me a while to get into, but once you get there, it leaves you with a twist you never saw coming, and wanting more right now!

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book as provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own and I have not been compensated.

Okay, so if you've read the blurb you kind of get the gist of what's going on within the pages. There's drama, friendship, secrets, lies, and family. And sometimes, the lines get blurry. I'm talking...really blurry. But if you aren't afraid to dive into some taboo subject matter then lets get started.

This story is mainly centered around Faye and Kyler who are cousins. Yes you read that correctly. She is the girl who lost her parents in a tragic accident, and he's the bad boy who comes from a very wealthy (and really dysfunctional) family. Her uncle, and his family are all news to her because up until that point she didn't know she even had relatives. Kyler has 6 brothers, and just being introduced to them in this book lets you know that they are ALL trouble in some way. So of course, Faye gets thrown into the family drama due to the death of her parents. Now, there are a handful of other side characters that definitely help move the story along too. So if the main guy & gal aren't exactly your cup of tea just know that there's so much more going on within this story that you're bound to find a character or two that you just can't help but love. Just wait until you get to Brad.

Now, this story was dripping in drama. I mean, one thing right after another just seemed to keep happening. Mean girls that seemed to come right out of a fight club rather than high school. Some major attraction between relatives, and definitely some actions between them as well. Some of the conflict I wasn't a big fan of, and there were some instances when I really wanted to just kick Faye. Miscommunication seemed to be a big thing with the characters, but then again it is high school. One of the more irritating things though was the hostility towards people who may not agree with her and Kyler's "relationship". Some of the things that they BOTH say to third parties was so eye rolling that I felt like smacking them both. YOU'RE COUSINS. AND FIRST COUSINS AT THAT! THERE'S NOTHING COMFORTABLE ABOUT IT. Still, the story kept giving me enough to keep my interest.

What Worked for ME:
From the moment we are introduced to Kyler I'll admit that I kind of wanted to punch him (were he an actual person). And not exactly sure what this says about me, but I dug it. He was hot, arrogant, rude, and forward. But there are instances that the author gives you a glimpse of what he's really like underneath. So, you can't help but understand how conflicted he feels, and why exactly things with Faye might not be his biggest concern/priority. Faye as a character was okay for me. She started off really strong, with a "no bs taking" attitude that I was completely psyched about! THOUGH towards the end of the book I felt like she wasn't as strong as she had started out. Still, I have high hopes for her. I absolutely adored the brothers. (Especially Keaton.) Even when some of them were being down right dirty. Each had their own secrets, and I'm actually really excited to see where the author takes each of their stories as well. And that ending?! Oooh, things are going to get interesting...but that's all I'll say on that front.

What Didn't Work for ME:
Some of the drama was a bit excessive. Some of the offense that was taken was completely unnecessary. I mean, when you start feeling something for your cousin, there are bound to be people that find it gross. So don't get all upset when they let you know as much. Am I right?

All in all this was a pretty decent read. If you like a lot of high-school drama, with some steamy scenes, then this will definitely hold you over. Some of this book reminded me a lot of Fallen Crest High, but definitely more on the "forbidden" side. So if you liked that story then you might want to give this one a go. And last, if the author can narrow down the conflict in the next book I get a feeling this series is going to be a pretty good one!

I received an advanced copy from the author in exchange for my honest review and let me tell you, I couldn't put this book down! It's the kind of story you become completely immersed in, leaving you thinking about the characters long after the story is finished. Siobhan Davis does an amazing job describing the emotional (and physical!) connection between Faye and Kyler. Get ready for a roller coaster of emotions and the kind of ending that will have you falling off your chair. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed from start to finish. I loved the chemistry between the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is an intriguing, romance and is a must read book and I recommend it to anyone. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

I ultimately decided to read this because it was described as perfect for fans of Tijan (and her fallen crest series was a favorite of mine). I think that's pretty accurate, too. Faye and Kyler have a its-taboo-because-we're -family attraction going on and the family dynamics are complex.

What an amazing story full of drama, and wow factors! All tho there are aspects that I am still stratling the fence over, this book was absolutely fantastic. There is the drama everybody is looking for with a little something extra added. This is a voluntary review for the arc I received

I received this book free in return for a honest review but let me tell you, this book wowed me. It's dark, it's addictive, and it's sexy! It took me a minute to warm up to Kyler because he was so rude in the beginning but that definatley helped to put me I the same mindset of the heroine. And the heroine! Faye was relatable and didn't play mind games like the boys did and she wasn't whiny like a lot of heroines are. All in all I just couldn't put the book down.

I was sent this ARC in regards to an honest review, and honest I am going to be. I know most others have rated this 4/5 stars, but I just cannot. I was really excited to read this, as it was mentioned if you were a fan of Elle Kennedy (Erin Watt) you would love it. Well, this is way to similar to Paper Princess and I just could not enjoy it. I could not even finish it as the more similarities I noted, the more I was just getting mad.

This starts off with a teenage girl, Faye, who has lost both of her parents. She finds out she has an Uncle who she will be forced to go live with. And, of course, it is a rich Uncle (In Paper Princess it was not an uncle, but a family friend). This man also has 7 sons. You will find right off the bat, this reads exactly like PP.

As soon as Faye gets to the home, she is met by Kyler who lets her know he does not want her there. He tells her stay away from him and his brothers (exactly like in PP). Faye is instantly attracted to Kyler. However; at least in PP the main characters were not actually related. This is a romance about cousins and it is just weird.

Even the brothers portray similarities to those in PP. You have a few in HS and some off in college. You have triplets instead of the twins. Kelvin starts off like Ethan in which he is just a smug and funny character who makes sexual comments about everything.

No, I did not finish this since I just could not get past all of this. Same plot (of course with a few different aspects) and same character roles as PP. Maybe if I never read that I would enjoy this. Maybe if I kept reading I would find these books to be totally different, but the first 20% was just too much for me to continue. I am disappointed as I have heard great things about Siobhan Davis and her work. Maybe I will try something else.

When I started this one and was not sure if it was just going to be another high teenage angst book. I shortly after got sucked in and found I would be not only finishing this one quickly, but diving into the next one immediately.
