Liked it so much I forgot the time. Started reading new years evening and finished about 4:30 am new years' day. Didn't even notice the time going by. Well told and easy to follow the characters as usual. I like reading books that are 99% story and romance.

I had been reading the series and had not had a chance to finish. All of Macomber's books are positive and easy to read. Love how she ties all the characters together. A nice way to finish the series.

My book arrived in excellent condition. I loved all the other books in this series but have to admit I was diappointed by this last entry. Since I paid so little for this book that made me grateful that I did not pay full price.

You can't read anything by Debbie Macomber that is not good. I especially love her Cedar Cove Series. It would be great
to have them listed some place in order. She does at least give you a background on the other books.

I have loved the Cedar Cove series, but I was rather disappointed by this final installment. I appreciate that she "wrapped up" the stories of our favorite characters, but a very large portion of the book was spent recapping what had happened in their lives. I skimmed and skipped a lot. I felt like she was just going through the motions, trying to quickly fill pages.

I am a Macomber fan, but this book is just not up to her standards. It's a review after review of old story themes. Goodness, what a bore and disappointment. Where is the humor, the lightheartedness and Christmas joy? Would not recommend it. I hope it was a ghost writer and not the decline of a great writer.

what a terrible end to this series! the book was so boring, and had no substance to it. the only reason i bought it, was that it was the last book in the series. i feel ms macomber owed her fans a much more satisfying end to a series which started great, and ended so badly.

I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS SERIES END AND WISH DEBBIE WOULD SOMEHOW CONTINUE IT. MY DAUGHTER & I HAVE LOVED THE CHARACTERS AND HAVE LOOKED FORWARD TO EVERY ADDITION TO THESE STORIES. THE TOWN IS SO HOMEY AND YET REAL. THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY FACE AND HOW THE PEOPLE INVOLVED SOLVE THEM IS A GREAT EXAMPLE FOR ALL OF US. PLEASE DEBBIE, CONTINUE THIS SERIES!!!!

Debbie Macomber is amazing. She has a way of interweaving the lives of her characters so smoothly and seemingly effortlessly that when you read her books you almost feel guilty for spying on someone you don't even know. It's like getting a glimpse of the personal life of someone on your street, in your town, or even your own heart. This book did not follow that formula. I felt this book was simply a review of the previous books in the series. While I have read other books that were far worse before, I think I was let down by this one because this had been a lengthy series and I expected the last book to have more pizzazz. This was not my favorite Macomber title.

Its sad to say goodbye Cedar Cove after all this time. I have read almost everyone of the books and never felt disappointed in them. I love how after thier story ends you still see most of characters in thier routine lives. With the addresses letting everyone know what order the books are in is clever too.
Beth 3 years ago divorced her husband and moved to Cedar Cove from california. Beth bought a Christmas tree farm. She also rescues animals and find them a good home. Started a program with dogs and senior citizens also started a program to take dogs to library.
In the last book she found homes for 4 dogs and delivered to her door was a basketfull of Puppies 10. Beth is overwhelmed too top off busy time of year for christmas tree farm her exhusband is planning to spend christmas with her two college girls. Beth has not seen her exhusband in three years.
Thier marrage just drifted apart into seperate lives and they noticed when the girls moved out for college.
Beth is going sking with her daughters after christmas so she has set a goal to find them all a good home. So talking people seeing who wants a puppy, we get to see and get a update on how everyone is doing.
When Kent shows up at her home beth has been thinking a lot about how her marriage ended also all the times in between. She has been looking forward to seeing Kent again and maybe to see if their is away back together. But Kent is not alone he has brought a young lady with him Daniel. Beth is very disappointed and her daughters are mad that he is ruining thier plans to get their parents back together.
Cedar Cove is a charming town. This book almost makes me want a puppie. But two dogs and a cat are enough for me. If you have read and enjoyed any of her cedar cove books you will want to read this one.
I was given this book in exchange of honest review.

Christmas normally brings thoughts of family, friends and decorations. There's no place like Cedar Cove for the holidays.
Author Debbie Macomber has created the last entry in her Cedar Cove series with 1225 CHRISTMAS TREE LANE gathering everyone for the holidays.
The story centers around Beth Morehouse, owner of the local Christmas tree farm and animal rescuer. Someone has left 10 lab-mix puppies on her doorstep and she needs to find homes for them by Christmas. She's looking forward to spending the holidays with her 2 daughters and then learns her ex-husband, Kent, is coming too. What no one knows, he's bringing a `friend' with him.
Finding homes for the puppies, Beth interacts with the other residents of Cedar Cove giving a look at their lives during the holiday.
With the giving of a puppy, closure is brought to each family. Their sorrows, joys, and hopes are expanded on. There are surprises along the way and romance is always in the air. Though this is the last installment in the series, new fans won't have trouble keeping up. They will, however, hopefully be inspired to find out more about the residents of Cedar Cove through prior books.
The narration by Sandra Burr brings the characters to life and gives more depth to the story. She vocalizes the emotions of the various characters beautifully. She intones the warmth of the story in her narration.
Visit 1225 CHRISTMAS TREE LANE for an enchanting holiday story.

I agree with the reviewers who found this concluding volume a bit disappointing. The "wrap-ups" in each segment seemed somewhat contrived, and I'm not sure why the author chose to introduce yet another character (Beth) in the second-to-last book. There are already enough characters to keep track of! Fortunately, the handy list of characters (along with maiden names/married names) is a good refresher.
In any case, I have read all of Debbie's books except some of the Harlequins. I give credit to her for weaving in everyday issues that many of us face (aging parents, rebellious teens, divorce, alcoholism). This is where Debbie shines. She also writes with a compassionate heart and an obvious faith in the power of love to transform lives. I was delighted to see Debbie in person two summers ago at a library event, and her warmth and enthusiasm just bubbled over! She is a gracious lady who seems to truly enjoy her readers, and takes extra effort in keeping in touch (by e-mail news and through her mailings). I also admire her courage in sharing her personal family tragedy in a public manner.
That said, I have to admit that I felt just slightly uneasy as I completed this last volume of Cedar Cove. As much as every author is entitled to create a world for him/herself and their readers, I realized that this world is one without much diversity. I can't recall any "minority" characters in the series. If I am incorrect in this, I will be glad to know. In addition, marriage-and-children in a heterosexual relationship seems to be the ultimate goal of life. There is something just a little "Donna Reed" about that scenario in 2012. For those who applaud that lifestyle, Cedar Cove (or Blossom Street) is the place to be.

Three years ago in California, Beth and Kent Morehouse divorced. She and their two daughters Bailey and Sophie move to Cedar Cove on Puget Sound. Beth owns the Cedar Cove Christmas Tree Farm and rescues animals. Currently she needs to find a home for ten stranded puppies left by her door.
Bailey and Sophie return from college for the holidays. Neither understands why their parents split up, but each hopes to pull off a miracle of bringing them back together though their mom is seeing veterinarian Ted Reynolds. Kent arrives to spend time with his daughters but to their disappointment he brings towering Danielle Martin with him. Before the girls are out of the first inning, the game looks lost.
Fans of the Cedar Cove community series will enjoy the engaging twelfth entry; as besides the Morehouse matchmaking, there are several subplots involving other residents. Newcomers will be lost as much of the cast has a history in previous novels (see 1105 Yakima Street and 1022 Evergreen Place). Still Debbie Macomber provides a sweet Yuletide tale.

This book was such a hurried mish-mash of characters w/ no drama & ridiculous dialogue. I have enjoyed Ms. MaComber's books in the past & have read most, but this was just a mess. The way that college-aged adults are portrayed is ridiculous. The plot line with the puppies was a smart move, but was lacking in any type of credibility. I work with an animal rescue group, and I can assure you that finding homes for 10 pups is a huge undertaking & that the thought process by the new owners better be more than "well, sounds like it would be fun". I was sorely disappointed by this book.

This is my first cedar cove book although its not my first Debbie Macomber book. There are some books which you can just pick up in the middle of a series and start enjoying. I would say this book is not one among them. The story and characters are very heart-warming and the book itself is an easy, quick read. But for such a small book you have way too many characters and somewhere in the middle you just get lost. Its like visiting a friend's house for Christmas and trying to remember the first names of her endless array of relatives visiting in. If you really want to enjoy, start from Book 1 of the series.

I've been known to say that I like happy endings tied up in a bow. In this case, Debbie Macomber gives me a big bow. This is the final book in her long-running series about the residents of Cedar Cove and she begins the book with a letter to her readers, telling them that various couples who met throughout the course of these books do indeed live happily ever after. Other couples get their happily ever after during the course of this book. If you have a favorite Cedar Cove resident, I'm sure you'll enjoy the resolution to his or her story. If you are looking for a fluffy-as-snow Christmas read, this will charm you, though if you haven't followed the series you many wonder why all these characters make appearances. If such things are important to you, it is squeaky clean.
At 288 pages, it is shorter than most of the Cedar Cove books, but delivers love for Christmas for more than one Cedar Cove resident. Grade: B.
I'd like thank the publisher for making a review copy available via NetGalley. I was not obligated to provide a positive review.

I really wanted to love this book. However, I found that since it is the last in the Cedar Cove series (which I couldn't know until purchasing and turning to the first page) I was left out in the cold. Rather than a warm feeling, I felt like a casual observer to a bunch of strangers. At every turn, 'new' characters and their involved histories were presented. So much so, that it became a chore to continue reading. The book was very choppy and distracting~not the nice Christmas relaxing read I desired. There really should have been more "warning" that you needed to read all the other books in the series to enjoy and appreciate this one. Perhaps the cover should have read "Final installment in the Cedar Cove series".

Last book in the Cedar Cove series. Ties up some loose ends from previous Cedar Cove novels. Not as entertaining as some of them but good reading. Series should be read in order to have a better understanding of the plot development and characters.

Cedar Cove always had love in the air in this small knit community.
Beth made a mistake in asking for a divorce from Kent. Now their daughters, Bailey and Sophie, are determined to get them back together.
All the other families are doing good and the best thing of all, it's Christmas time.

This is the end of the Cedar Cove series and it is obvious. The author goes from one story thread to another, recapping each one. I didn't care for that much. Most of the series is more enjoyable to read than this last installment.
The main story was more interesting. Beth Morehouse is a single parent with 2 college-age daughters. Her daughters hatch a plan to get their parents together for Christmas but when their father shows up with another woman their plans fall to pieces. Beth had a litter of puppies placed on her doorstep. The other story lines are woven in when she tries to find homes for them. It is a sweet story but not her best.

Yes, Debbie tells you all about the characters, so you can "understand" this story without reading the other books. But, to truly appreciate this story, you need to have been following it ALL the way. You need to read books 1 - 11 and the side books (Cedar Cove Christmas, for example). Otherwise, this is a very boring and predictable story. She can not possibly develop all the characters of Cedar Cove in this one book. If you read them all, she doesn't have to...you know them already, you've known them for 10 years! If you have read them all, you will already love Cedar Cove and you will LOVE this story. I feel I have actually BEEN to Cedar Cove (and would certainly love to visit in real life, if it existed). Debbie Macomber makes you a part of it with this series. Is #12 her best work? No, but for true fans of Cedar Cove, it is a warm and happy holiday story and the proper good-bye to all the folks who live in Cedar Cove.

Debbie Macomber brings all of the characters featured in her past Cedar Cove books together in this cute Christmas addition. Beth opens her front door one morning to an abandoned basket full of Lab puppies. All of the past characters are involved in the placement of them in good homes before Christmas. This book winds up quite a few stories from her past Christmas books but can stand alone. Good enough story with, of course, a feel good ending.

This book is about a woman named Beth Morehouse who owns a Christmas tree farm and is a dog trainer in Cedar Cove. Beth's two daughters, Bailey and Sophie come to Cedar Cove for Chrstmas Vacation. Beth has to find homes for ten little black labs before Christmas. The girls have plan to get their parents back together. Bailey and Sophie are the ones are surprised when their father, Kent show up in town with another woman named Danielle. Who do you think Kent will end up with Beth or Danielle? Read it and find out!

I stumbled across this series at the library looking for a new author. So glad I did, as I quickly became addicted. The entire town is introduced in the first book and every book afterward is told from the view of a different person. Each with their own issues. No violence, sex or drugs, just everyday problems, while still keeping you wanting more. Excellent!

Cedar Cove is festive and alive with the holiday spirit but there is trouble in the air. It seems the best laid plans at times fall apart and what results can be unexpected.
Debbie has created another wonderful Cedar Cove story. The residents experience the joys and trials that come with Christmas in a small town. In a very fun way, a batch of deserted puppies unite families in a special way.
This is a great read to help you slow down, take a deep breath, and relax with some hot cocoa!

I love the entire series of Cedar Cove!! This is the 12 book in the series. With this series, in general, it is best to read them in order. This is the last book in this series. Debbie Maccumber does have several others series. I plan to start on another series very soon.
This book is primarily concerning an ex-wife, an ex-husband, 2 daughters and 10 adorable puppies. I feel you will enjoy the series.

I'm glad I read the reviews, although I wish I'd read them before I bought the book. Now at least I understand that the book's structure is supposed to give closure to previous loose ends in the series because the series is ending. However, it reads like a collection of cover blurbs. The "main" story doesn't take up much of the book, and the rest of it is just a summary of what's happened in previous books, with nothing to tie them all together except the town they're set in. I saw some suggestions that this book was not intended for new readers, that it was aimed at those who are familiar with the series. As someone who has read many of the previous books, I can't say that it was aimed at me, either. I was looking for a story. I think Ms. Macomber should have stopped one book earlier.

The story is as good as any Debbie Macomber, but I'm really disappointed in the recording. The reader makes the college age and high school characters sound like they are in elementary school. I had to go back and listen to be sure that I knew their ages. Really distracting to listen to. Her voice is nice, just the childish tones she uses for those characters is odd.

While I enjoyed the series, I found the later the book, the more room was taken to review. By this book, I think there was only 50% new material. I found myself skipping passages because of the repetition. I did read all of the books one after the other within 3 weeks so I didn't need the review. Maybe if the books were spread out it would have been helpful. I did appreciate all the loose ends being neatly tied up.

Beth expects this Christmas to be special; especially since her daughters are coming. There is only one hitch her ex-husband is coming to, along with his companion. And to add to her frustration, someone has left a basket full of puppies on her door steps, she must find homes for them before she leaves town.

The first few pages pretty much revealed how this book would end - there's no suspense whatsoever. And it's all just too sweet - from getting the parents back together to finding homes for 10 puppies. Anyone who has ever worked in rescue knows it just doesn't happen that easily!
Besides that, there are too many "side stories" about other folks in the town.
I wouldn't recommend this one.

I am a big Debbie Macomber fan and read everything that she has written. This book is the end of her street series trilogy which is the stopping point for several of her characters that have been in previous books. Would I buy this book again, of course. Is it worth reading - of course. Will I buy more of her books - waiting impatiently for the next one. This whole series is very much worth reading!

I can see this as a good movie, but as a book . . . it was SLOW and obvious and BORING. When the movie comes to Lifetime, i will watch. In the meantime, I don't think this novelist is for me! I can watch Ion or Hallmark for more compelling stories! At least one of the plots was interesting, but it was still too obvious an ending for me.

Much of this book explained the characters from previous books. It broke up the current story and it was incredibly boring to read a description about characters I don't know and who's past I don't really care about. This was a very bland story for Debbie Macomber. She usually delivers better.

It's a cute story with the centerpiece being an abandoned litter of sweet little mixed-breed puppies that seem incredibly easy to place in homes. I agree with other reviewers that it was a trip down memory lane of all of the books in the series. I found it rather boring and a little too syrupy sweet. I would love to live in a place where everyone gets along as well as these citizens do. But why not since most everyone is newly married or soon will be. For Christmas you would want everything to be sugar plums and fantasy, so I suppose it's a fitting end to a saga set in this joyous season.

Beth Morehouse has to find homes for ten abandoned puppies before her two college age daughters and her ex husband come home for the Christmas holidays. Can she handle the puppies, her kids, and her lingering feelings for her ex and still have a joyous Christmas? The author continues to deliver the quality family oriented, upbeat, feel good story we have come to expect from her over the years. In this final chapter in her Cedar Grove series, we feel like we are getting a Norman Rockwell Christmas and a Hallmark greeting card all rolled up in Mom's apple pie crust.

Typical Macomber charm. But the book is filled with vignettes of most of the other families in the area. If you are familiar with the residents of Cedar Cove you will enjoy it. If not, it may be a bit disorienting.

Who doesn't love a story with puppies in it? I liked it but I didn't love it the way I had he previous books in this series. Although I was anxious to see how it would all end, I have to say I was kind of disappointed. I do truly believe she made the right decision to finally end it. Hopefully her next offering will go off much better then this has.
