This is a breathtaking tale of Brundar and Calyspo's journey into love. Brundar is such a complex being with a sense of devotion to the order and a cold dark exterior. The author lets us into his head and we see so much more. Calyspo is rescued from a dangerous spouse and a loveless marriage by Brundar. The story unfolds and the sexual attraction has some surprises and very hot steamy sex. The side story is about Roni, a dormant who is trying to transition into an immortal. This has some twists and turns.
The author ends the book with a crisis during Roni's transition and some very unresolved emotions of Brundar and Calypso and the future.
I can't wait to read the next book.

I really liked the series at the beginning but it's getting worse and worse. It feels like she had to write something to continue the story and sold the first few chapters of the book calli g it no. 14 than really a good continuation of the entire story. Rather disappointing and I won't spend my money for the next book.

I am so done with these partial books. Yeah, good deal, right? Only $3.99 per book, but actually it’s a full story cut into three “books” so we pay $12 per book basically. While the writing is ok, it’s pretty redundant....formulaic, and the pace is slow, seeming worse as each new “book”is purchased. I don’t know who makes these decisions, but I’m going to try to stick to better authors who do not let their stories become so disrupted and overpriced.

Bought this entire series based on someone else's suggestion, for my girl to have something exciting to read

If books written in the tone of a feminist female, "girl descriptive" is your thing then this series is an okay read. My girl, who the series was bought for, tossed the first book aside and didn't read anymore.

Review of:
Dark Angel’s Obsession #14
Dark Angel’s Seduction #15
Dark Angel’s Surrender #16
I.T. Lucas’ Children of the God’s Series

Series catchup:
From the beginning of time there have been near immortal beings who have molded humanity, been the object of worship but who as a race almost destroyed each other and human civilization.
Now only two Gods are left both sworn enemies:
The followers of Morta, the Doomers and the descendants of the Goddess Annani.

The Dark Angel’s trilogy is the story of the Guardian Burndar and a human, Calypso. Brundar is not a stranger to readers but he is an enigma and his tragic past, aversion to being touched and need for kinky sex is finally revealed. Calypso (Callie) however is an open book and her openness and adventurous side is just what the dark brooding Brundar needs, even though he’d never admit it.
This series continues to wow me at every turn and Lucas keeps it fresh by adding new twists, new possible dormants both obvious and some readers don’t see coming. Her imaginative narrative, inventive continuing world building, fantastic side stories and scenes that are unbelievably believable propel the story. And of course there are her larger than life characters that rule every page.
This series is one that you must read in order.

SUMMARY:
Ever since the chance meeting when Callie and her husband Shawn tried to get into the sex club he co-owns, Brundar’s been obsessed with her and had a bad feeling about her husband. So he takes it upon himself to be her stealthy stalker protector. He can’t understand his fixation with this human woman, he only knows he’ll move heaven and earth to make sure she’s safe even if that means getting to know her personally and breaking a few of his, not getting involved, rules to do it.
Callie knows she made a mistake marrying Shawn, knows she needs to get out of this marriage because even though he’s never touched her she senses a darkness in him and she knows he’ll never let her go without a fight. She knows she needs help getting away and there just happens to be a tall dark and brooding, sex on a stick guy who may be able to help her.
Meanwhile back at the keep there’s a lot going on, the clan is trying to discover who is committing terrible murders, they need to learn if it’s a human pretending to be a vampire, or if it’s an immortal gone mad. The construction of the clan’s new village is under way and members are busy picking homes. Plus the continuing drama of Roni and Sylvia and Tessa and Jackson are unfolding at warp speed

Lucas's writing of this world gets better and more complex with each story. I'm enthralled with this world now and can't wait for the next installment!

My *only* complaint is that Lucas could really benefit from the help of an editor at this point, or even just a friend or two with some good writing or English courses under their belts. Now that the story has gotten so much more complex, the typos and grammatical errors become more apparent and less tolerable. I think once a story gets this good, there's really no excuse for the simple errors the author keeps making, such as frequently using the wrong helper verbs, past or present participles, and the occasional hiccup where a sentence was obviously rearranged or rewritten but then not corrected. The mind stumbles on errors like these interrupting the story's flow enough to pause to figure out what is really being relayed, and, in one case, I never did figure out what the sentence was supposed to mean. These are fairly simple errors that would be caught by an editor or even a decent grammar program like Grammarly.

Having said all of that, I really don't want to leave this review on a negative note since my thoughts here are just a suggestion on how to make a good series even better. Lucas's characters have depth and the world of The Children of The Gods is quite compelling! I am so excited to read more!

It was good but it seemed short or like it did not have enough content compared to the other books. The story seemed prematurely amputated from lack of a better word. But what information was provided, was good. However had I realized it would have ended so soon, so to speak, I would have waited for the next release so that I can read them two together to get more of a feeling of a full story.

Edited to say, I liked the story BUT I don't feel it was enough of a story line for the 2 MAIN characters, B&C.

I really enjoyed the particular book of the series. Reading about the mysterious Brundar meeting and rescue of Callie, I was not sure it could live up to other couples in the books of this past series. I became so enthralled in their story, before I knew it I was at the end of this book. I can't wait to read on further to see what happens next with this couple in this somewhat insecure relationship.
The anticipation about what's to become of all the great characters within this, Children of The Gods Paranormal series keeps my expectation up, wanting for more.

Absolutely a great read. Lots of different storylines but still has the core family feel. I hope the potential love story between Callie and Brundar comes to a satisfactory end......I have a feeling she is a dormant and Brundar will finally be happy...or a least happier

My wish is Mark will play out the storyline introduced with Nathalie about integrating the internet to find the boomers lair so Annani can be victorious in the never ending saga of good vs evil.....I go love this series and have read it twice from beginning to new and can't wait for next chapter

I have read all 15 books in this series. In a week! I am obsessed. Out of the the characters Braundar was the one that I was itching to know about! So mysterious! This is by far my favorite in the series! I can't wait to see how his love with Callie progress. She better be a dorment!! He deserves happiness! Please don't stop writing IT Lucas you are amazing! My favorite writer of all time. I love see the events happen through each characters perspective what they are thinking and feeling. I am addicted. It will make for a great TV series but I don't they can express the emotion that are in the pages to the screen.

Not quite what I was expecting. It was less of a standalone story then a vehicle to move multiple characters stories along. Felt like Brundar story was pretty boring considering how interesting he has been all along. However, I did like Callie quite a bit. I like the stories that feature real bad guys better and a single chapter about Losham foreshadows the coming battles. Certainly not sure "The Village" will really be safe for the clan. Still enjoy these stories, but would definitely not recommend a new reader start here.

I love this series. It's fast reading. Each book is a reasonable length and quick to get through. The characters are varied and interesting.

I also love how past characters make reappearances so they stay fresh in my mind.

Even though there are parts of this story of the Immortals that I would like to see how the conclusions end, unfortunately I'm starting to feel that other parts of what the author is writing about, I couldn't care less. At some point, most of us will lose interest and seek other tales to read. I'm still rating this pretty good, but I can't promise how much longer I'll be into the Immortals!

I have loved this whole series. I am patiently waiting for the next. I have looked forward to Brundar's book from the beginning and I was not disappointed. I was however heartbroken for what had happened to him in his youth. He is so strong and dependable you wouldn't know something bad had happened. Even though he doesn't like to be touched Callie is getting to him so much that he even takes her hand without thinking. I cannot wait for the next book to see how this story continues. Great job I.T.

I want to say that this series is awesome and I love that I still see the other characters even when getting to know the new ones. Poor Brundar. That scene just killed me to go through but it explains a lot. I can’t wait to see him finally process what he went through.

I've enjoyed every book in The Children of the Gods series. Dark Angel's Obsession is no exception!

I T Lucas is one of my favorite paranormal authors! I equate her series with that of The Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Keep then coming...please!

I'm a fan of continuing series that involves a large family of sorts. I love how every member of the clan has his own personality and story. I also like it that their stories do not end with each book and continues into another. This book is mainly about Brundar and Callie. I enjoyed reading Callie's liberation from very emotionally abusive partner. I wish there's a Brundar for every woman like that. I'm looking forward to the next book already!

Well worth the wait!! What a wonderful couple Brundar and Calypso are. Both fighting demons from their past trying to find peace and love. Both learning to trust another person. One trying to find their inner fantasies, the other helping her on her journey. They are both teacher and student for each other. The journey which they are on together is frightening, but are both of them strong enough to travel to the end of the road? I can't wait to find out!

I chose this rating because there is not one thing about any of the books I have read and I read them all! There is action, some comedy, lots of sex and with each book you get to learn the background of some of the characters starting right away with Book 1. I don't want this series to ever end. I thank anyone over 18 who likes paranormal romance and action stories can read these.

I started reading this series at book 1 and I couldn't wait to read Brundar's story and I knew it was going to be great. I dont want to give too much away but because of who Brundar is, this book goes deep. . It is an awesome start to Brundar's story and the rest is sure to please. All of the secrets to Brundar will be revealed in his story and I'm loving it!

It is nice to break through the first layer that is Brundar. It was so hard to put it down, and the book goes by so fast. I need a little more Jackson in this story but understand how Ms. Lucas keeps her timeline moving. I love every character and storyline going on. The world is real and so well-developed that I ready to go hang out at the keep.

This installment was a disappointment. The best part of the book was all the stories from the side characters that we've grown to love - especially Jackson and Tessa. I just could not get into Brundar's story. I will keep reading the next installment because I've liked the others and I'm invested in the clan. I hope it gets better

#14 is still as good as #1! I don’t know how ITL keeps the story so interesting and the characters so well developed over and over again! Just when I think I can’t bear to move on from one character to the next....the next one ‘thralls’ me just as much. The only series that I just can’t wait for the next installment!!!

Without a doubt, I T Lucas has hit this whole series out of the Park! I read the 1st novel sometime ago and when I was growing Kindle Unlimited, I cam across the #2 book and have read every book unto #15 and looking forward to more to come. WOW!! I just can't say enough positive thinks about these books.

Interesting view into a side of sexual relationships I'm not familiar with. Great start to Brundar's reclamation of his life after the harm he suffered in his youth. Calliope is a worthy mate for him.
I would give this 5 stars if the whole story was here, I'd rather wait longer and get a finished book.

I enjoyed this book the best so far. These characters grow on you. Two more books to go and I will be caught up. There is so much going on in each characters life I wonder if this series can ever end. It is just to fantastic for that to happen. Isabell please keep 'em coming!

Calypso knows what she wants and it's Brundar. Brendar doesn't have a clue about how confident she is in their relationship. It's fun reading their beginning of falling in love. Then there is Jackson and Tessa she is finally trusting him. Can't wait to see them move in together. And last how a plays out with the Doomers. Hopefully the next book is coming out soon

This series just keeps me getting on the edge of my seat. Brundar and Cassie are great but I smell trouble coming. What the heck is going on with Ron ? I can't wait to read the next book. Jackson and Tessa are so cute . I hope it's not much longer for the next books.

OMGoodness! What's gonna happen to Roni? What's gonna happen with Calypso? I think she's going to start her transition, and Brundar isn't going to know what to do with himself! LOL! Can't wait!

I love Brundars story. I wasn't sure that I would. Its wonderful however. Would have given 5 stars, but it just dropped off. The cliff hanger happened so unexpectedly and in the wrong place. I still cannot wait for he and Callie's story to continue. OK anger abated. Will now change to the 5 stars.

By far, this is THE. BEST. VAMPIRE. SERIES. EVER. The enigmatic Brundar’s story is finally told. Wounded and betrayed at a young age, he has walled himself off from all feeling and entanglements. It is only when he meets the equally wounded Callie that he finds these walls lowering, whether he wants them to or not. And like the mythological Calypso, she calls to him the way no other woman ever has. Will he allow himself the happiness he has always richly deserved, or will he continue his isolated life and wind up breaking two hearts?
I am behind on this series, but that is not necessarily a bad thing because now I can read the entire trilogy without having to wait. Kudos, I.T. Lucas, for writing another masterpiece in this epic saga. Each one is better than the last.

This is the 14th book in the series, and every time I finish the newest book I think that the next book to
come out can’t possibly be any better than the one I just read, and then the new book comes out and it is even better! I have absolutely no idea how IT Lucas does it, it’s just amazing. I can’t wait for the next book to come out to see how Calypso and Brundar’s story progresses, or what happens with Roni, and Jackson and Tessa, and William, etc. It’s so good that it could seriously be a tv series! Bring on book 15!!!!

I'm hooked on this series. This story continues Tessa and Jackson's relationship and brings you into the beginnings of Brundar and Callie's relationship. Brundar hates to be touched because of the trauma he suffered as a young boy. Callie is married to an abusive man whose anger is escalating. She wants to escape before he goes over the edge. Brundar steps in to help her. Excellent read.
