This is an excellent devotional, it really ministers to the daily needs of my life. I so appreciate the perspective it is written from. I love the style of writing, and the application of the scripture.

This book is the most inspirational book I have ever read. When I need encouragement, a word of comfort, something to cling too, guidance this is what I pick up and read. A great gift for someone you know who needs encouragement and guidance that God is with them no matter what.

A friend gave me this book some 25 years ago. I've bought 10 copies to have to give to others. Reading this book is like God speaking directly to your heart - like nothing I've ever experienced before. All of Frances Roberts' books are like this. Very prophetic for your life.

This book is awesome! It speaks to you from God's perspective instead of a narrative from the author or a third person. It is extremely well written and will definitely administer to your spiritual needs.

Please check out "God Calling" instead! There's no comparison between the two, except that "Come Away My Beloved" seems inauthentic in comparison. "Come Away My Beloved" is one person's imagination about what God might be saying, while "God Calling" is an authentic representation of what God's saying. Trust me on this one!

This is a classic. If you enjoy reading Sarah Young's Jesus Calling, Jesus Lives, and Dear Jesus, you will enjoy this read as well. Frances J. The content is great. The writer's attempt at writing in King James prose is terrible and not authentic..bad 17th century mingle with 20th century. She should've stuck to plain English. Also, at sometimes she writes as if God is speaking to the reader and then it abruptly switches to the author speaking. Definitely not written well. It took all I had not to get my pen out and make corrections as I read it! Good thing I don't like to write or highlight on my book pages.

I own lots and lots of devotional books; always looking for the one perfect book that really touches my heart. FINALLY...I found this book. I just happened to find it in a second hand thrift store, and what a find it was!!! Every page speaks directly to me, just as if God the Father is speaking to my heart. I carry this perfect size book with me always, and read it every chance I get. I decided to highlight specific passages that inspire me, only to find that I highlight nearly everything. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you've been searching as I have been for that perfect devotional...THIS IS IT! This book costs hardly anything, but your heart and soul will be rich beyond your expectations!

Jesus is drawing us closer and closer to Him during these Last Days. This book will bring you close to Him, knowing His heart. Among other sparkling gems of truth, it speaks of our need to simply be. I am having a hard time starting this review because the book is so good. First advice, buy the updated copy it gives you the bible verse. This is the book I use as an evening devotional. I need the reinforcement this book gives me. It tells me about the love and care of the Holy God Head BUT,YOU MUST PRAY BEFORE READING TO INVITE GODS PRESENCE This book helps you take God's love from a head knowledge to a heart knowledge. I have been a faithful believer for almost 40 years and I praise God for this book. When you read you know that the Holy Scriptures are were used and made personal. I am going through a great deal right now and every day I am told by these beautiful words to trust totally in my God. The bible tells us to be anixous for nothing, this book tells us the same thing but makes it sound more personal.
I am getting ready to order 5 more copies to give to the sick and shut in of my church. Once you read this book you will want to give it away too. the stores price makes that easy to do.

This is a great devotional. It is beautiful laid out and written. I really spoke to me. These were short devotionals but they were powerful. I felt relaxed with this devotional, and believed God spoke to me in this devotional. It is not a 365 day devotional The pages are beautiful and calming. I highly recommend this devotional for anyone who needs rest in Christ Jesus.

I have had this book for a long time now, but only recently started to discover what a gem I had. I found it, a good few years ago, among a pile of second hand books I was rummaging through. About 2 years ago I read one or two extracts and found it so comforting that I immediately passed it on to a friend! Two months ago it came back to me - unread! But what a blessing it has been.

I think the author is a lady, but I'm not sure. One thing that I am sure of though, is that it is authored by a saint. It is written, in the main, "as if" the Lord were speaking directly to Frances. She/he seems to be documenting the constant love and comfort, and also loving correction, that the Lord is pouring into her life. It is this heavenly perspective which interprets and redefines all that comes her way - the nominal church, the demands on time, the lures of the flesh etc. Superimposed upon all the manifold and varied revelations is one of a gracious, tender, loving and strong Father. The true Christian will immediately recognise that One to be his God.

Because all believers who truly long for closeness with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, share a similar pilgrimage, you will find, as you come to this book, prayerfully (or at times in utter spiritual bankruptcy), that again and again it will speak precisely to your condition. But don't make it your God - heed the warning given often in this book of finding God for yourself. Frances wants you to come to Jesus and hear what He has to say to you, in your circumstances and calling - and so does Jesus, I might add. But get a vision of love, sacrifice, discipleship and devotion here that has almost been lost in the polarising camps of the laid-back-Christian-seeker-friendly-entertainment cult and the over-doctrinal-classification-artistes, who want a revival of Puritanism in our day. Get to the marrow - you'll find plenty of that here.

I recommend this book highly, for persons who want to know the heart of God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In reading carefully you will find that each one has taken the time to visit and speak with this remarkable lady. It is Spiritually uplifting, and satisfying. It is also quite interesting that in these times, we can see what is in the mind and heart of God, The Father, God, The Son, and God, the Holy Spirit

I LOVE this book! Every time I open it, I experience God's speaking straight to my heart in a very intimate way. I've bought many copies, some to sow to others, and some to replace my own worn out copies from use.

This is an absolutely awesome book written by someone who was obviously yeilded to God during the process of writing it. I know I will re-read it for the rest of my life. I will also plant this seed into the lives of others.

Hearing the voice of God in these pages has fed me, comforted me, healed me, challenged me, blessed me, and opened my eyes as no other book has done.

My relationship with God has changed. This book has helped me to have an incredible desire to seek Him first, always.

This is the best book I've ever found for a devotional. I use it to find what

I picked up a copy at a goodwill many years ago. I can't even begin to understand it being discarded since first opening it's cover. Since that time I have worn it out and purchased another. It has been a constant companion outside of my Bible. Everytime I am in need of encouragement I open it up and the Lord speaks to me. I have read lots of books and forgot most. This one I never forget and the words often come to my rememberance in times of need. This is because they are inspired by the Holy Spirit. always reminding me to come away and rest in Him. It stirs up my love for the Lord and instructs me with gentlenes and mercy. Try it. Your love life with the Lord will never be the same. All the other books by this author are like having a treasure chest full of gems.

I was given a delapitade copy of this many years ago when I was too ill to read it.
I finally took it out 3 years ago and it spoke to God's spirit within me. I love the old language in the original King James Bible and when I read this it was like GOD was speaking.
Many times I use this devotional when writing a word of encouragement to someone who needs a boost (I make sure I state the name of the book and the author).
God has used it to encourage our Intercessors!
When I can, I give a copy to others.
I have most of France's devotional and am praying that someday I will be able to purchase those not available, for every one of them has a special word for me or someone needing to hear them.

One of the best devotionals that I own, as I read I feel like God is speaking to me...in a way that hits home differently than just reading a translation of the Bible (though I still do that :)...I am thinking of getting it as gifts for my besties!

This book will usher you into the presence of God. Not a quick read even though it is a small book. It can be read and re-read and never seem to be the same book. Use as a daily devotional or a first aid kit when you are hurting. This author is highly recommended.

I first read this book when I was eighteen years old. It helped shape my faith and the way I live my life. Through many ups and downs, the many valuable things God spoke to me through this work, stayed with me. The first time I read it I was astonished at what a wonderful modern day prophet God had gifted us with! Now I am twenty-six years old and I'm reading this book again to reaffirm all the great things God spoke to me eight years ago. This book speaks to the reader's heart in a way only the Spirit can speak. I'm sure I'll read it many times in the future and recommend it to many friends!

I received this book after my husband died in 2002. It has been a constant comfort and strength for me for 6 years. I used it for daily devotion every day until recently. When you are walking in the valley of the shadow of death, pick up this good companion with God's love song to you. And eventually, you discovered that you can sing again.

Love the content of the book, but the size of it is very disappointing compared to the original versions (hardback and paperback). Bought this as a gift, but was hoping it would be larger and higher quality.

If you are trying to get to the next level in God, this book used as a devotional is a great way to get there. If you read a passage or two before praying, your desire becomes more of God and less of the stuff you were originally going to pray about. This book also shows you how the Lord chastens and rebukes those that He loves in love. Not only do you hear what is wrong, but you also find out what He wants you to do to fix it. The most awesome thing is that you know that this comes from the word. I recommend this to anyone who leads praise and worship or who is on a praise and worship team.

I have purchased ten of these little daily devotionals. I give them to people who are hurting, grieving, feeling like failures, etc. The devotionals continually lift me up reminding me of how much our heavenly Father loves us and wants an intimate relationship with us. It encourages the broken hearted and gives HOPE.

I enjoy this insightful book. Each page has a topic full of Christian spiritual thoughts. I read at night and then reread again just to not miss anything. It is well worth the cost for this small but insightful book.

I first got this book as a gift in 1996 and it's been a great part of my daily life all these years. I've bought several copies over the years for family and friends and it's the most beloved book and heart touching devotional I've ever read. I've never read it cover to cover, but instead pray for direction and open to where I'm lead. God has never failed me and spoken to my heart every time through these pages. I would love to buy one for everyone on the planet.

I have had a copy of Come Away My Beloved for several years. I treasure this book and I have decided to buy one for each of my two daughters. The book speaks to me as though straight from God. It has great depth. Surely Frances J. Roberts has a special relationship with the Father to have written such a special book. Thank you Frances!

I picked up this book again, and as the Lord would have it, it is very appropriate timing. It has beautiful images to go along with scriptural truths. I wish there were scriptures with it, but anyone who knows the Word can discern it. It is found here :) It is a classic!

Ladies, you need this book in your library. It truely ministers to you. When you sit down with this book, please do no read it like a book. Pray first for God to minister to you through this book and then read as if you were reading a letter from Him. Be blessed and know that He will speak to you through this little book of jewels.

My first copy has long since lost its cover and the pages are dog-eared and tear-stained. I use this every morning during my prayer time to launch a converstation between me and the Master of the Universe. If you have ever longed to hear the sweet, intimate words of God and His plan for you, this is the book for you. Encouraging, and uplifting. After 8 years, this book still challenges me to walk intimately with God each moment of the day.

This classic devotional book has been updated in today's modern language. It is easy to use and easy to understand. Each devotion is written as if God were speaking directly to the reader. Very meaningful and highly relevant. I would highly recommend this little book for the more mature Christian.

I loved the fact that the thee's and thine's were God talking to me. I have purchased many more books to give away to friends of whom I know need a message from God.

I have enjoyed and been highly blessed by this book. It feeds my soul. I have used in Bible Study sessions for women and have given about 25 books as gifts to bless others. Found myself without one o it's time to order more.

This is a 'deep calls unto deep' book, and once the Holy Spirit quickens the writings to you, you will be so blessed by every page you read. It is a daily devotional that seems like it is totally God inspired. I to (as another person who wrote a review said), if stuck on a desert island, would want to have my Bible and this book with me. It is a gem, as is Mrs Roberts who wrote it.
