This book was actually really interesting and informative. My first impression at first was that the title was misleading. This book did not seem about fluffy conspiracy theories, but based on facts that anyone with half a brain can confirm.

One of the main premises for instance, is that the world is being controlled by a small group of people. Look at the history of the world, it has always been controlled by a small group of people. So no surprise there.

So first the good news. The best part is the first half of the book. At the beginning of the book, the important issues are discussed, like how the current "economic crisis" was engineered to basically steal wealth from taxpayers, of how genetically engineered foods and fluoridated water is making you sick, of how TV and vaccines are making us stupid.

The powers at be will continue, but we have a choice to choose ways to prevent harming our future and our health.

Now for the not so good news. While the first half covers some basic solid issues, the second half falls into not so solid ground.
The writer falls into various "rants" into an array of dizzying subjects. Is Obama a socialist trying to control the US population even more? Are the Rockefellers and other special interest groups behind a vast array of conspiracies? Are all these conspiracies tied in to various philosophies similar to the ones that were at play at Nazi Germany? And the most irresponsible claim that angered me is the small chapter where the author is questioning global warming--while Russia is recording the greatest temperatures in history and is facing a huge drought.

In a few words, the writing of the book became repetitive and annoying and some reputable ideas are mixed in with things that are not based in scientific or solid data. The writer repeats the name of the same privileged families over and over, where other known powerful powers at be are not mentioned at all, words such as Nazi and zombie and Rockefellers are mentioned one too many times.

In conclusion I felt cheated, because the writer used the first half of the book to "hook you" with solid data and info, and then introduced the not so solid material for the second half. And this is a shame, because the writer does bring up some important issues we all have to be aware of.

Another dangerous conspiracy theory. The first third of the book was the hook. Couldn't put it down. Then it became ridiculous. It would have you believe that we have no choices or free will. This conspiracy theory wants us to believe that all things negative can be blamed on others and even if we take responsibility for them we are doomed.

The author sees the US as a country of zombies run by a secret society of globalists who represent corporate money and control our three branches of government. These globalists hold monopolies over basic resources, energy, food, pharmaceuticals, transportation, telecommunications and the news media. He describes the US as a fascist-socialist state composed of a wealthy minority and the working majority--the zombies.
This is a provocative, well documented book and the author can't be dismissed as a wacko because there is truth in everything he writes about. For example, why is the US the only major country that allows it's citizens to eat genetically modified foods and drink rBGH milk while the incidence of cancer and obesity rise? Or why, when the US has hugh deficits, will working people see their taxes rise but not the wealthy?

Actually I bought this book for my husband as a birthday present as I thought that we would like to have more information about the NWO but ended up reading it myself. For a non-American there are some chapters which are more interesting than others for the simple fact that I don't know much about American finances. Still, even those chapters ended up being interesting! The world is becoming a very scary place and hiding from the facts is not going to help anyone, on the contrary, if we are well informed at least we know who to believe and not and maybe we can protect ourselves a bit better! What I find bizarre is that such a book which unmasks a lot of what is wrong with the world is written by a New York Times bestselling author. One would think that establishment newspapers would want nothing to do with such an author..... Also the fact that the Wall Street Journal, The Kansas Star and the Dallas Observer write positive reviews about this book is strange, to say the least. Why don't all these papers and all this people get together to fight the evil instead of just applauding those who bring it to light?

That said there are some very interesting chapters, like the one on the banning of natural medicine and the reason why, something which highly scares me (I had never thought that it could have anything to do with preventing us from keeping our bodies in good working order, which will prevent us from being so easily contaminated with whatever governments throw at us), on vaccines (think well before you let your children have any because after it is done there is often little you can do to cure the side effects, not to talk about all the stuff they put into them which you know nothing about), the highly surveyed society, complete lack of freedom, education used to dumb down populations, and much more!

This bit I found very interesting, it concerns a quotation by Harvey Wasserman, a journalist who said that it has been monumentally important to finally have an African-American as a president and that a woman will come next. Well, isn't it time people voted for the best person for the job and not vote for someone based on skin color or gender? Being president of the USA is a huge task, should the only credentials needed be your looks, be it skin or feminity? I doubt it.... and then, when they have had the African-American and the lady, will it go on to be a South American, maybe an Asian.... and what next? A child maybe? Something else I can't agree with is the concerns about the environment. Of course I want to live in a clean world as much as most people but seeing the waste which is going on should we really have to use our bicycles (other than for pleasure or exercise but surely not while all kinds of motorized races and sports go on for fun, just think about all the motorized sports which go on the beaches all over the world, creating huge noise and air pollution), electric cars (don't forget that creating electricity also causes pollution, moreover we are always being told that we should use less electricity), recycling (most of us know that in the end all the rubbish ends up in the same place, so it is a waste of time and money).... supporting mass transit, I wish we had better public transports here in France but we don't, most of it has been dismantled decades ago.

I agree with this book, many of us have already been turned into zombies who can't see reality anymore and are more than willing to serve the master but by getting informed we might just be able to make a difference or at least we can keep ourselves awake as long as we possibly can! He tells of how, by means of fraud , treachery, and trickery, the Jackson Medical Society made millions of dollars in windfall profits while thousand of innocent , trusting, and naive Americans suffered and died The entire sordid affair, with all its damning details, was kept out of the American Press. John D. Rockefeller's AMA, with it's millions of dollars of influence made sure of that!
In his section called Dumbed-Down Education he tells of the goals that the psychiatrist determined for the American children/Every child in America entering school at the age of five is insane because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, toward the soverienty of this nation as a separate entity...It's up to you teachers to make all these sick children well by creating the international children of the future. Or what John D. Rockefeller wanted and is often quoted. I don't want a nation of thinkers, I want a nation of workers. He needed have added Dirt Cheap Globalized Workers.
In his section called Government-Dictated News he relates that/When a journalist dares to question the motives of those in power, they are framed as bringing their own personal political bias into news reporting.

Perhaps the most striking news, withheld from public scurtiny by the privitized news, known commonly as mainstream, but referred to as lamestream news, is the worldwide-financial-coup that occurred April 2, 2009/A REAL DAY OF INFAMY. The secret here is that the government is not the problem. Nor is the Constitution on which it'd founded. The money power vested in Congress by the Constitution has been improperly delegated to private interests without sufficient public interest benefit, if any. Congress must resume the power vested in it. Had such delegation of power been shown to work in the public interest, one could consider maintaining or adjustin the present system. BUT LOOK WHAT IT HAS DONE!
The public probably hasn't even heard of CAFRs, Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, which are completed each year by local governments in the US.
The Budget the public knows is the financial record that's seen by the public and used by politicians to justify new government services and higher taxes. BUT there is a SECOND set of books-the CAFRs.
The CAFRs contain the REAL record of total government income. The CAFR is the accounting bible for all local government. This is where government theft is occurring. To correct this hidden government theft, citizens must first learn how much money their local government is hiding.
President JFK/We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For anation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

Here's a book that should ruffle a few feathers(and perhaps even a few brains).

If, like myself, you're one of those people who have long suspected that something is not quite right with this world, then this is THE book for you.

Marrs lays out his case point for point, word for word, connecting all the dots in an international game of chess where you and me are nothing more than pawns. We are all essentially pawns in a global game of cat and mouse, the march towards a New World Order and global governance. At times the book reads like a blockbuster Hollywood movie, but truth is stranger than fiction. As other reviewers have pointed out, the information contained herein is not some backroom conspiracy stuff that people concocted over a game of cards, Marrs documents all his compelling evidence with facts and data that is readily verifiable to anyone willing to delve into the wealth of information available in order to research themselves and draw their own conclusions.

From how our money supply is literally created out of thin air, then lent out at a fixed-interest rate(brilliant scheme), to Obama's socialized medicare, to the "swine flu" epidemic of 2009-2010, it's all here. Even your drinking water is suspect. Don't believe me? Have your water tested by an independent lab for a chemical analysis and see for yourself. Fluoride anyone? A chemical so potent and dangerous that even minimal exposure is considered hazardous and can cause permanent nerve damage.

Folks, everything you know is wrong. Everything you were taught in school(where the "herd mentality" often begins), college, university, or what have you, has been poison to your brain. Wonder why we're seeing so many shootings and increased violent behavior lately? Read the book. Wonder why your wages remain stagnant while everything around us keeps going up and gas nears $4/gallon? Wonder why you can never seem to get ahead while those on welfare and the government teat seem to live better than you do? Read and understand. Marrs has done it again, nailing all the evidence, laying it out on the table and presenting his case. The fact that this stuff is going on right under our noses and we continue to sit idly by, frankly mystifies me. The information contained herein should be causing a nationwide revolt, but I digress. Perhaps the less the "sheeple" know, the better off we are? In any case, this book should be mandatory reading in every classroom/library across the nation.

Kudos to Jim Marrs for doing it again! Keep it coming, sir.

Another dangerous conspiracy theory. The first third of the book was the hook. Couldn't put it down. Then it became ridiculous. It would have you believe that we have no choices or free will. This conspiracy theory wants us to believe that all things negative can be blamed on others and even if we take responsibility for them we are doomed.

The author sees the US as a country of zombies run by a secret society of globalists who represent corporate money and control our three branches of government. These globalists hold monopolies over basic resources, energy, food, pharmaceuticals, transportation, telecommunications and the news media. He describes the US as a fascist-socialist state composed of a wealthy minority and the working majority--the zombies.
This is a provocative, well documented book and the author can't be dismissed as a wacko because there is truth in everything he writes about. For example, why is the US the only major country that allows it's citizens to eat genetically modified foods and drink rBGH milk while the incidence of cancer and obesity rise? Or why, when the US has hugh deficits, will working people see their taxes rise but not the wealthy?
Fascinating chapters on population control, vaccinations, education, public debt, banks, the stimulus and more.

Actually I bought this book for my husband as a birthday present as I thought that we would like to have more information about the NWO but ended up reading it myself. For a non-American there are some chapters which are more interesting than others for the simple fact that I don't know much about American finances. Still, even those chapters ended up being interesting! The world is becoming a very scary place and hiding from the facts is not going to help anyone, on the contrary, if we are well informed at least we know who to believe and not and maybe we can protect ourselves a bit better! What I find bizarre is that such a book which unmasks a lot of what is wrong with the world is written by a New York Times bestselling author. One would think that establishment newspapers would want nothing to do with such an author..... Also the fact that the Wall Street Journal, The Kansas Star and the Dallas Observer write positive reviews about this book is strange, to say the least. Why don't all these papers and all this people get together to fight the evil instead of just applauding those who bring it to light?

That said there are some very interesting chapters, like the one on the banning of natural medicine and the reason why, something which highly scares me (I had never thought that it could have anything to do with preventing us from keeping our bodies in good working order, which will prevent us from being so easily contaminated with whatever governments throw at us), on vaccines (think well before you let your children have any because after it is done there is often little you can do to cure the side effects, not to talk about all the stuff they put into them which you know nothing about), the highly surveyed society, complete lack of freedom, education used to dumb down populations, and much more!

This bit I found very interesting, it concerns a quotation by Harvey Wasserman, a journalist who said that it has been monumentally important to finally have an African-American as a president and that a woman will come next. Well, isn't it time people voted for the best person for the job and not vote for someone based on skin color or gender? Being president of the USA is a huge task, should the only credentials needed be your looks, be it skin or feminity? I doubt it.... and then, when they have had the African-American and the lady, will it go on to be a South American, maybe an Asian.... and what next? A child maybe? Something else I can't agree with is the concerns about the environment. Of course I want to live in a clean world as much as most people but seeing the waste which is going on should we really have to use our bicycles (other than for pleasure or exercise but surely not while all kinds of motorized races and sports go on for fun, just think about all the motorized sports which go on the beaches all over the world, creating huge noise and air pollution), electric cars (don't forget that creating electricity also causes pollution, moreover we are always being told that we should use less electricity), recycling (most of us know that in the end all the rubbish ends up in the same place, so it is a waste of time and money).... supporting mass transit, I wish we had better public transports here in France but we don't, most of it has been dismantled decades ago.

I agree with this book, many of us have already been turned into zombies who can't see reality anymore and are more than willing to serve the master but by getting informed we might just be able to make a difference or at least we can keep ourselves awake as long as we possibly can! Another book on similar subjects is Corporatism: The Secret Government of the New World Order. I would say that they are both comparable.

This is a look at the world around us, and how America is being systematically destroyed, but not from the "usual" sources. It is not a pretty picture.

Anyone who takes vitamins or nutritional supplements needs to know about the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Under the auspices of the UN and the World Health Organization, it is an international commission whose aim is to ban the sale of all herbs, vitamins and minerals for therapeutic purposes, and to have all nutritional supplements available only through a doctor's prescription. Do an internet search for "National Security Strategy Memorandum 200." Written by Henry Kissinger, it became official US policy in 1975. It advocates the radical de-population of the Third World, and is in line with elite support of eugenics, to get rid of all those "useless eaters."

Politicians keep talking about how American schools will prepare students to thrive in the 21st Century. The problem is that American schools, based on the Prussian model, were never designed to prepare students for anything, except to be quiet drones, who are paid to work, and not think. Normal activities like taking pictures around town can get a person arrested by Homeland Security. Do you remember President Obama's 2009 speech to schoolchildren across America? According to some, it was political indoctrination that would turn America's young people into mindless, Obama-loving zombies.

All banks pay into an FDIC reserve fund, which is supposed to help banks in trouble. In 1981, the federal balance sheet said that there was $11 billion in the fund. One day, the FDIC Chairman called the Treasury Secretary and asked to visit and see the money. He was told that there is no money; it was all put into the general fund long ago. So if a bank is in trouble, the Treasury simply borrows the money. Simple, no?

This book touches on a whole host of other subjects, including FEMA camps, TSA airport body scans that are not deleted, the 2008 financial crisis, implanting people with microchips, and ways to not become a "zombie." As with nearly anything by Jim Marrs, this easily reaches the level of Wow. It has something to upset nearly everyone. It is very highly recommended.

Although I have not yet completed this facinating tome, I want to recommend it to anyone who wants to know what is going on in our country...and why things are changing for the worst so rapidly. Mr. Marrs is non-political and is not a fear-mongerer. Some might refute that but I don't think there is any way to present the truth to readers about what is happening here (and around the world) without individiuals feeling some fear and trepidation. There is much to learn and much to share. Although, at times, I have felt helpless to change this downward spiral, I can at least use my voice and my words in an honest attempt to open the minds of those who prefer to hide their heads in the sand (as I used to do). Someday soon we might no longer have the right (or even the priveledge) to speak out or even educate ourselves. This, then, is your opportunity and mine: educate yourself, open your eyes and share what you have learned with anyone who will listen. Peace.

I enjoyed Jim Marrs' "The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy". The research, documentation, argumentation, presentation, and writing are all exemplary. While I don't always agree with Marrs, and some of his contentions should be taken with several grains of salt, this is anything but an illiterate pamphlet, comprising paranoid and psychotic gibberish. It is a serious, albeit accessible, work that is well worth any concerned and intelligent reader's time and attention.

As Marrs points out, and details, there are many good reasons to at least suspect that the workings of the world, in a multitude of facets, are being controlled by a relative handful of immensely powerful men. These characters appear to be driven by a combination of a quest for immeasurable power and a utopian ideology that has one-worldism at its core. They are a sinister clan, worthy of Robespierre and similar monsters, and the best interests of John Q. Public are anywhere but at their heart.

Marrs doesn't devote attention to what I consider the ultimate conspiracy -- the age-old Masonic attempt to emasculate, and preferably overthrow, the Catholic Church (the abomination known as Vatican II was and remains their greatest triumph). He does, however, address other key conspiracies, and addresses them well, including the literal and metaphorical drugging of the populace. Also, the deliberate dumbing down of education. More, transforming it from a means to train the mind, and impart knowledge and traditional values, to a transmitter of pernicious ideologies and a facilitator of infantilism and narcissism.

Marrs spends a great deal of time -- correctly, I think -- on the conspirators' manipulation of the economy. If these men prove to be fully successful in this regard, the resultant economic and financial collapse will inevitably lead to a complete societal breakdown and the ushering in of anarchy. Nietzsche was right about one thing: Out of chaos comes order. Guess who will be ready, willing, able, and downright eager to supply that order? And the "offer" won't have to be made at the point of a gun. Who will demand -- yes, demand -- that order? A populace, first rendered somnolent and decadent (not to mention disarmed), now reduced to gibbering fear, will absolutely insist on giving up their few remaining and pretty much illusory rights for a can or two of Chef Boyardee Beefaroni. Don't think so? Wait and see.

Despite some imperfections, I do indeed recommend this important and riveting book.

While I am entirely sympathetic to Marrs general direction of thought, I find it hard to reconcile some of his statements with my own observations. He claims Obama is a socialist, whereas I, as a true-blue believer of socialism as the future of this nation, can find nothing about Obama's actions that would give me the hope that he was indeed inclined in that direction. Indeed, I call Obama "Bush with a jump shot." Having said that, Marrs does document some of the less well reported disturbing trends of decaying Amerika and in many cases connects the dots as I have. But his relative silence about 9-11, the greatest fraud and act of treason in world history, is curious, since 9-11 has been used to justify destroying the very fabric of America Marrs so readily decries. He does allude to that event, albeit obliquely, but only at the very end of his tome.
Similar to his book about Nazi Germany's enduring legacy, he throws a lot of facts around and hopes for guilt by association, I guess. But he leaves a lot of stuff out that I would think he would naturally glom on to for reinforcing his thesis. I give this a qualified thumbs up because it is a subject Americans need to think about seriously, but his title is unfortunate since it will tend to create a knee jerk reaction from Americans who have been brainwashed to reject any sympathy for "conspiracy theories." Of course, those are the zombies Marrs speaks about, the zombies who will never read his book anyway.

If you are a thinking person, this book will give you facts, statistics and data to all of the creepy stuff you feel in your gut. This book is so chock full and ties so many things together that it really requires a couple of reads to get it all.

Marrs is a good author and is easy to read despite the magnitude of facts, dates, history, economics, etc. He backs up his theories with proof and leaves little room for skepticism.

Read it, be outraged, be prepared.

This book doesn't go right or left but it goes for the gut. Americans should all read this or get it from Audible. This book took everything that is out there to the truth of what is going on and puts it in one concise book. A must read or listen. If it does anything, it might help to wake up the sleeping American public and possibly help us to take back what we have lost while we assumed we were in the best interests of who ever is in charge.

I wanted to be overjoyed by the publication of this book, and if not for the poor title and the fact that Marrs goes off editorializing in the second half of the book, I would be. His factual information required a lot of digging and will not be found elsewhere without knowing exactly what you're searching for, and because of that fact I concur with other reviewers that this is a must-read. Little known news stories that don't reach mainstream but that have massive implications for the loss of civil liberties in the United States are well documented and provide plenty of material for those who want to go digging further. But when Marrs started using the word 'socialism' (where imho he should be using 'fascism'), he lost me fast, so I cannot give this five stars. Knowing that he's an excellent researcher and a smart guy, I can't help but wonder if he's been listening to too much hate-radio and adopted the word to attract that audience. If so, perhaps it's not a bad choice. All Americans need to read this NOW as this is vital information that is very hard to come by elsewhere.

Jim Marrs never ceases to impress, with his demand for objective and acedemic journalistic integrity!

I am 3/5ths done with this book (Trillion Dollar Conspiracy) and decided I would write a review immediately. I also wrote reviews on two other books of his I read recently (recommended by my wife). Marrs is the best journalist alive today.

After the information revealed in this book, it doesn't surprise me that the mainstream media does not give him any attention; he is a beacon of truthful journalism amidst a sea of propagandizing and biased criticism.

Buy this book. Store it in your home library, and use it as a reference guide to map and predict current affairs. This is real, acedemic journalism at its finest.

This is stuffed with information. The info is complicated at times, but Marrs does a good job in explaining his thoughts and the thoughts of others. If half of the "conspiracies" are true, we're in deep poo. If you're a fan of the political world, or simply want to get a different view of the surrounding world - look no further. An interesting read and argument well laid out.

Top notch journalism from a REAL journalist. One of the few, the proud, the fourth estate. READ this book and INFORM yourself of what goes on while you're occupied with a six pack of beer and the Monday night game! So many have forgotten the Constitution, so many more have spat on it, WAKE UP! Time to reclaim America for Americans!

Back in Dallas at a book speech he did for his book Alien Agenda I still read his stuff and look at his website every so often and listen to him when he appears on Coast to Coast AM I would have to posit now that because of his "conspiacy theories" (guesses) (a conspiracy theory is a guess) that he's still a good writer but the corporations do not own your body amd soul and mind even if you do sign on the dotted line for working for them, nobody can tell you what to do or how to do it if you are of your own sound mind and body and refuse or get refused.
All you have to do is tell them that you're taking a walk. You can find another job if you don't like the one that you're doing.
Am I right or am I wrong.

Wow! shocking but eye-opening is all I can say. This book is a must read if you really want to know whats going on behind the scenes. Its almost to incredible to be believed, however all the information is backed up with credible research and reporting. I take my hat off for Jim Marrs for having the courage to write what he wrote in this book. I would recommend this book to everyone if you want to make sense of all the current ills in America and around the world.

Interesting how virtually everything written in this book concerning President Obama and his administration would prove to be nervous hysteria; the author did, however, get it right about the extreme far-right takeover of our country in 2017.

I found this to be better than most sprawling often nonsensical Jim Marrs' tomes. There is always a kernel of truth somewhere in his conspiracy theories. However, even in this one, with some interesting tidbits and truths about the Federal Reserve, the pharmacy industry, education, mass media, Marrs failed to tie it all together into a coherent theory. Instead, it remains a puzzle with too many missing pieces or of a fuzzy image.

I'll come right out and say it: Jim Marrs is an amazing writer, who has followed facts no matter where they led, in the service of finding truth. From Crossfire to Rise of the Fourth Reich, he's blazed a trail of being fact based in his writing in a field of fiction writers. I would recommend his books as enlightenment for anyone who thinks they know how this world works.
Except this one.

This is, without question,the worst Jim Marrs book ever. I say this because for the first time, Jim was writing for a target audience, and not following the truth for once. The first third or so is good, solid fact based writing. Then he veers off into what has become known as BeckJonesistan among conspiracy theorists. The book turns into a solid polemic against the current "socialist" government, which is about as socialist as my left testicle. The bitterest part for me to read was him devoting time to the ACORN debacle, without noting that the guy has been busted for wire fraud, and has copped to having an agenda about releasing those tapes. I almost want to ask Mr. Marrs, Jim, did you need the money that badly? Did you run up against a deadline , and pulled this out of your back crack? Most reputable conspiracy journalists don't have an agenda for one side or the other(because they're two sides of the same coin), so seeing such a blatant push for courting Beck's fanbase is sad. Trotting out the noted anti-semite Eustace Mullins as a source doesn't do you nay favors,either. I hope this is just an aberration, Mr. Marrs,but judging by your recent posts about Osama bin Laden's death, I'm rapidly losing hope.
COme back to us, your real fans, Mr. Marrs. The Beck guys will find a new guy in a brown shirt soon, so don't go trying to grab onto his and Jones's coattails. Frankly, you're better than that.

But have not purchased the book as yet.

If more people will become aware of the very serious problems that Americans are facing in this new century maybe their is still hope for us all.

Marrs often mixes investigative journalism without political theory, using the latter as if it were fact, rather than someone's view of how the world works. Though he might present a string of facts, his method of connecting these facts is not further factual information. Or, often, even convincing conjecture. Trying to understand how it is that a corporation such as British Petroleum can poison our oceans without facing incurring the costs of their actions is an interesting question. Writing it off to socialism when the only people benefiting are few in number and vast in wealth is to have the knee-jerk reaction of a Texan education rather than following logic, the facts, or the money trail. A global government taking away your personal freedoms? Probably. In the interests of international socialism? Yeah, sure. That's why those Enron folks were fleecing everyone: To steal all our personal wealth and *share it*. With each other, maybe, but that ain't socialism folks. An extraordinarily disappointing book.

I'll come right out and say it: Jim Marrs is an amazing writer, who has followed facts no matter where they led, in the service of finding truth. From Crossfire to Rise of the Fourth Reich, he's blazed a trail of being fact based in his writing in a field of fiction writers. I would recommend his books as enlightenment for anyone who thinks they know how this world works.
Except this one.

This is, without question,the worst Jim Marrs book ever. I say this because for the first time, Jim was writing for a target audience, and not following the truth for once. The first third or so is good, solid fact based writing. Then he veers off into what has become known as BeckJonesistan among conspiracy theorists. The book turns into a solid polemic against the current "socialist" government, which is about as socialist as my left testicle. The bitterest part for me to read was him devoting time to the ACORN debacle, without noting that the guy has been busted for wire fraud, and has copped to having an agenda about releasing those tapes. I almost want to ask Mr. Marrs, Jim, did you need the money that badly? Did you run up against a deadline , and pulled this out of your back crack? Most reputable conspiracy journalists don't have an agenda for one side or the other(because they're two sides of the same coin), so seeing such a blatant push for courting Beck's fanbase is sad. Trotting out the noted anti-semite Eustace Mullins as a source doesn't do you nay favors,either. I hope this is just an aberration, Mr. Marrs,but judging by your recent posts about Osama bin Laden's death, I'm rapidly losing hope.
COme back to us, your real fans, Mr. Marrs. The Beck guys will find a new guy in a brown shirt soon, so don't go trying to grab onto his and Jones's coattails. Frankly, you're better than that.

But have not purchased the book as yet.
I will do so and give a report.
If more people will become aware of the very serious problems that Americans are facing in this new century maybe their is still hope for us all.

I was given this book recently by a conspiracy kook friend of a friend (after i told him he should be wearing a tin foil hat) & i tried to read it... This book is just proof that man as a species is a pattern seeking animal & secondly man as a species would prefer to believe that the entire world is secretly being run by a shadowy cabal of super villains, then its just run by people who are generally only semi-compotent & without a master plan.

This book reads like fiction... because it is. If this was meant to convince people that there is a cabal of secret super villains ruling the world via some shadowy world government & that people who believe this are not kooks, they totally failed. This book is perfect for people who are already prone to being manipulated or lacking in any critical thinking skills. But if you are reading it for any real insight into the NWO conspiracy, its pretty much just the rambellings of mad men, made to seem a little reasonable but including a couple of ficts here and there (In the same way that The Da Vinci Code did).

Simply put, this is a horrible right-wing screed. Poorly researched, written, and conceived, it seems to be a conglomeration of talking points from somewhere between a Glenn Beck show transcript and a Sarah Palin rally. How's this for intelligence: "Well into 2010, a remarkable number of Americans even continue to question President Obama's constitutional qualification to serve. Obama's legal, long-form birth certificate still had not been made public and the controversy over his birth was continuing, despite a lack of coverage in the mass media." What?? And then Marrs lists some birthers who say that Obama is a "usurper." Nice touch, Jim. Still can't handle the election results?

What total right-wing nut job nonsense! Just a crappy, sensationalist book you would find on a card table at a Tea Party rally, masquerading as some kind of "serious" financial journalism.
