The Magic Misfits

My seven year old daughter says that this is one of the best audio books she's ever listened to. She loved everything about the magic and the ending. She can't wait for the next one to come out! I think this will be a book that we listen to and read again. I especially like that my daughter caught on to the idea of the importance of practicing things you want to be good at through the encouragement to practice magic tricks. Nice tie in to real life right there. :)

Bought the book for my 12 year old son, he absolutely loved it. Apparently it ended with a cliffhanger and he needed the 2nd book right away. We preordered it so we can have it as soon as it’s released!

Thank you! This book gave my 9 year old son something to like about reading! He is an apathetic reader, at best, only reading when required and this book he actually wants to read. In fact he's re-read it 3 times and is on his 4th!

Let us consider two well known personalities of essentially the same generation: James Franco and Neil Patrick Harris

Both started out as child actors, both have continued to have success as actors, writers, directors, etc

But, wherein Franco seems to want to be an overall Renaissance man, Harris has a far more illustrious, and difficult, goal in mind

He wants to be a Song and Dance man which, if you know anything about the term, means he wants to do FAR more than just sing and dance (both of which he does quite well, thank you)

He wants to ENTERTAIN... in every aspect of the arts

And the most important thing you need to know about this (first in a series?) book is, BOY! Does it ever entertain!

It ain't great literature... "War and Peace" is great literature, and you know how much we want to read that

It ain't even very mature which, since it's a kid's book, is a major plus

But, it's so MUCH fun, and so, yes, I'll repeat myself, ENTERTAINING! That you just can't help but love it

And, why would you want to... help, I mean
