EMP Survival in a Powerless World - Lights Out Super Boxset

My favorite thing about this set was the interesting and enthralling way the story was told. It's hard to do much of anything that's new in this genre, but these books managed it with different perspectives of the same events.

This book makes you think about what might happen if the world is thrown into chaos through an EMP attack. Scary to say the least. The women seem like super women. Maybe a little overly so. I'm not sure I would be able to get up and fight over and over. I'm glad they overcame the terrific obstacles. But realistically most would not. Which means we need to prepare NOW mentally, physically and spiritually!

The action and fully conceptualized characters had you cheering for the major characters from beginning to end. Realistic scenarios and triumpover evil even if misguided kept me glued to this series to the very end!

This was a really good, action packed book with very strong women characters. I would highly recommend reading but note that it's hard to put down because there's so much action you want to know what's going to happen next!

I did not expect to enjoy the books as much as I did. The author was able to develop a story line that kept my attention, and I ended up reading the entire book too fast. Looking forward to another of his.

The first book in the series was good. I was looking forward to reading the rest. The second book tanked hard. Too many almost impossible entanglements. The ex husband escaping prison and just happening to be taking over the area of rural NY where the main character was is unforgivable. It could have been anyone else but the author chose this? The third book started out even worse. I gave up about a third of the way thru it. I would give the first book 4 stars and the rest 0 stars.

I was looking for another survival series for a long time. This one filled the need. Author does a good job on the whole series keeping you committed to the characters in the story. I recommend you read the whole thing. It was very much worth it.

I loved the hero being a woman. No holding back on the fire situation only a moment away from being a true world changing event. Makes me think what needs to be done to prepare and protect my family.

I thoroughly enjoyed these stories. They had good pace and enough twists and turns to keep me reading, not wanting to put it down because the next good bit had to be just one sentence, one paragraph away.

Good read. Almost lost me at the start of the second book. I thought the plot had changed to a total different story until I realized it was Dennis. Get involved with the characters and lost in the book. It makes for a great afternoon.

Fast paced and engrossing. the store prime gave me the box set free reading on my device, but back in the day I would have walked into Barnes and Noble and plonked down $6.99 per paperback book to finish the series.

The language was horrible and totally unnecessary. It only distracted from what could have been a decent story and I couldn't finish the book due to vulgarity. The author needs to rethink that on future books!!
