Honestly when I started reading this series I had high hopes. It began well and was a quick read. The second book was less appealing than the first and the third book nearly made me break out in hives. By the fourth and final book I wanted a nuclear explosion to happen and just kill them all except the bear! Too many twists with plot over hidden plot. I nearly began to root for the Elders to kill off Nora, but being the main character that wasn't likely. So in the end, after all of the hype, she's a succubus... go ahead and input my derp face here. I'd ask for a refund but it was free. 2 stars for the character Gray and 3 poop emoji for the series.

There are 3 good things about this saga. 1. It was a complete saga for 99 cents. 2. There are slim to none bad words. 3. Great plot...it's just too bad that Ms. Sharp didn't have an editor to read it before she published it. It is awful. It took me two tries to read the thing and was agonizing to finish. The repeat of ideas, changing of rules in the dream realm, and exceptions to the rules are ridiculous. Sorry Ms. Sharp, but seriously...you should read it yourself and roll your eyes over all the mistakes.

the first and second book were OK but the third was really confusing and I still haven't gotten through it nor am I exited to. There are several mistakes and typos through the story, the plot got plain boring sometimes, it has great potential but I don't think it should have the honor of being called a book but rather a draft.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Forsaken series. Nora is thrust into dangerous situations and is amazingly brave. Loved the suspense and her guy falling for her. I would have been happy with only those books, but am pleasantly surprised with the bonus books. I loved the Seeker saga books with Tracy finding out about the crystals, being brave enough to use them to help her friends even though it endangers herself. Then another bonus Never Let Go by Scarlet Edwards. Wonderful reading. Loved them all!

They were okay. I wasn't too impressed. Lacked character development mainly. However there are bonus books at the end of the book for free, a totally different series, and they were actually very good - the Seeker Saga. Though the story didn't end as the promised third book never came out...

You become so involved with the main characters Nora and Hunter that it's almost like your there with them. Your also experiencing every twist and turn they are going thru. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat and it just keeps getting better and better where you want to know more. Very hard to put down. Highly recommend it to the young and more mature person.

I'll read just about anything and can usually find a way to enjoy it... Even the Twilight series was entertaining for me to read, but this one? I couldn't get past the first few chapters. This might be more suitable for a very young girl newly interested in boys... as I read it I though it sounded like something a 13 year old would write. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just a lot older than 13.

It started out okay, but I really didn't like the writing at all. As the series went on it became harder and harder to read, simply because it was so boring! I stopped reading after book 3, because I really couldn't take anymore. I do not recommend these books, baah.

I had a hard time getting through this book. It was confusing and unrealistic in the beginning and although some parts were interesting a lot of the time it was boring. I don't like how Nora kept forgiving hunter so easily for everything he does to her. I think she lets everyone walk all over her and does things only because she is told to. Also sometimes she would speak like and adult or even someone who was from a difrent time era when she's supposed to be a sixteen year old girl. There was also a lot of typos in the book including a time when the wrong name was used.

At first it's pretty decent. I only started reading it because I clicked on it in my library by accident. I liked what I saw so I kept going. The dream world was great, I enjoyed it too. And then Nora suddenly just did everything Hunter told her to without any thought to her family. I let it slide until the end of book one. Her reasoning to convert made sense, but then the solution was right there immediately. Wholly anticlimactic and foreshadowing of books to come.
Book two became more annoying with the inner dialogue. I began to skim after it became easy for a new born vampire to resist human blood after getting a taste for the first time. At this point I didn't care about the folklore of the vampires. It became a big deal that she hadn't fed, but it was not explained why they just wouldn't feed her. Regardless, there was a fight, they split up, though after revealing why I think it was kind of lame for the subterfuge. Nora becomes very annoying in her repetitive questions, whining, and inner dialogue. In a nut shell Nora suddenly is a bad ass martial artist gymnast, that is extremely smart in solving convoluted riddles. When it came to the archive and the creature everything was predictable.
There is a huge gap from the ending of book 2 to book 3. The author leaves out a CRUCIAL encounter with angels and explanations of why the elders must be stopped. I am being forced to rely on what Nora says but I have such a low opinion of her by this time that I don't trust what she thinks. Don't even get me started on the bear. After the third or fourth reference to the angels, me becoming increasingly distracted by ANYTHING going on around me, and wishing this book was over that I threw in the towel.

I said it before and I sure still think that this author is one of my favorite :) Kids, read this! Very light and entertaining story. Not boring and not tragic. Just plain fantasy, you go and flow with it without pretense of it being realistic.
P.S. Everyone with young teens will enjoy this reading together, especially if you share your Kindle with them as I DO :#

Terrible. This book is a horrible twist on Twilight. The main character is annoying. The beginning is unbelievable. Why is he in high school? Why would the teacher give both of them detention for doing absolutely nothing? Why spill his guts to a girl he doesn't know after a few days? Hunter had a part in locking up the angels...so why didn't they recognize him? Plot holes. Bad grammar. No character depth. ANNOYING main character. You name it...it's in these books. Do not waste your time.

Things take place in this book that would not realistically make sense, like five boys trying to rape a girl during a school day in the middle of the hall. Hunter is a four hundred year old vampire who decides to pretend he's in high school. He barely knows Nora, but shares all his deepest secrets with her. So she leaves home and family to be with him. It goes on and on. Also, there seems to be a huge gap between books two and three in which we are missing a significant number of chapters. My advice: don't waste your time.

I'm not one to give negative reviews, but PLEASE do not waste your money on any of these books. I walked into this well aware of the "you get what you pay for" idea when I purchased this series for 99 cents, but it's not worth even that. The writing is immature and amatuer, at best. The author's bio said she's been writing since the third grade when her teacher allegedly said she "had a knack" for writing. Unfortunately, her skills as a writer do not seem to have progressed much since then and it is clear that she lacks any kind of insight into the human experience that would give the characters the depth necessary to make them, or anything else in these books, remotely believable. Ms. Sharp, find yourself a GOOD writing teacher, because if being an author is what you want to do in life, you will need it.

Edit: While the author said she has added the missing stuff, that's actually not true. Deleting and re-downloading the book, does not rectify it. So I can't in good faith recommend this box set to anyone, and removes the stars I gave it before. My mails, with proof of the situation, was ignored by the author.

These books were amazing, I enjoyed them so much. For once, these were books that did not contain so much violence and one that I allowed my 11 year old daughter to read, and we read the, together. I am hoping that she will continue and publish the rest of the books from the SEEKERS and not leave her true fans waiting in the dark.....
These books helped me thru a very difficult time and made my daughter and I laugh, cry and brought us closer. I am a mom who always reads books before allowing my children to read just anybook? !!!
I am ashamed at the people who critiqued her for writing, so unless they are Masters in English and can write a book so much better than anyone else, than I suggest you stop criticizing people who actually take the time to write for people who do enjoy reading light hearted books!!
Writing a book is not as easy as everyone thinks, and it's people who are constantly being rude and downgrading that allows authors to stop writing, I can guarantee you many authors that are top authors now would agree with me, since I read for many of them. And I also help them, proofread and sometimes it takes a lot to just try and get your work out there. Instead of putting someone down, how about applauding them and giving them the credit for even trying!!!!
This world needs more young writers like Sophia Sharp, and Sarah Swan!!!! Who has captivated my heart and my daughters and thanks to all of the people who have put her down, she will not continue her writing, so I hope you are all happy, because I have an 11 year old daughter who is so sad. I teach my children that no matter what people say always follow your dreams, because it's the people who are jealous of you who will never make it anywhere in life!!!

I hope you continue to write Ms Sharp, because while there will always be haters, you do have people who will support you, my daughter wanted to send you a picture when she found out that you would not write the conclusions to the Seekers????

The idea behind the story and story line wee very interesting. I liked the IDEA of the characters, as well. It was good in theory, but the execution was lacking.
The character development was lacking and the story progression was extremely slow. The dialogue and story were repetitive AND inconsistent. You could tell the author had forgotten some major plot points later in each book and in the series and didn't bother to look it up to ensure consistency.
There was a large amount of time and space wasted on detailing minutia. It was, obviously, very important to the author that we "saw" three world she developed EXACTLY as she did, but it came at the cost of sorry flow and progression.

The Forsaken saga (box set 1-4)
I think theses books were ok. Not spectacular, but... This is one of those stories where things that happen to the character are without much imagination, drama or seeming forethought. The character always gets away from the ones chasing her and just in the nick of time, that sort of thing. I think their are things like falling from some young boy and running off with within one week of meeting him that seem a little absurd, but not really when you consider that's happened in real life, no doubt. The scenes of the dreamworld vs reality and sharing a dream, that part I could buy but when the author takes it further and tries explaining the worlds, how they interact and such it's hard to follow but it's the ending that threw me for a loop, very weird--floating in either, looking for people's stars (essence), just really kind of bizarre. I'm one of those people that it really bugs me when things that happen to characters in the story that, let's just say someone dying, but then miraculously...tuhduh... they're healed but without explanation to the reader.I hate that!
The one thing I loved was Grey! He's devoted and although he may tend to save the day a lot, that's what most dogs would do too. Besides the animal choice for the character is different and that was nice and he really has a great personality.
There isn't any bad language, there is killing but not tons of blood and guts (in fact I'm pretty sure there's only once that it's truly bloody. There's also one scene when the couple get a hotel room but nothing is detailed, they just wake up the next morning in bed, etc. Nothing in the book is expressed or detailed past kissing. There are vampire type of characters but again not a lot of biting, killing and destruction, like in a lot of vamp books.
I think I liked the idea of the book and the characters but the way things were set up and played out could have been better, but still...it was ok, book 4, by far caused the most issues for me. A young high schooler would probably enjoy this. The book falls between a 2.5-3 star rating, for me.
Editing: some errors but not bad
Age: young high school +
Cover: I liked the book cover
Series: this is the complete series-4books (677 pages total)

I was trying to look up the last installment of a series called The Dream Realm Trilogy. I bought the first 3 books awhile ago, and just read them, and was wondering what happened with the last one. The books weren't very exciting and very poorly written (bad editing, droning on about insignificant things, while zipping through things that should have been explained or given a bit more emphasis) but I made it though the others (I was able to skip quite a few pages of "blah-blah-blah" writing) so I wanted to see how it all ended. To my dismay, I couldn't find ANY of the series. So I looked up Sophia Sharp and found this series. While reading the reviews I realized that these are the same damn books! The series, and each book, have different names, as do the characters, but everything else is the same! My characters are Laura and Logan and their friends Madison and Alexander. But the plot is the exact same. The horrible incident with the boys in the hall. Mysterious Logan and what he shows her. The vassiz, the elders, the mines, towers, even the damn bear Gray! Do authors do this? Just rename a series, give the characters new names and resell it? This is some serious BS! The idea behind the series was ok, but the books really were garbage. I don't understand how she got them published. Her heroine is extremely underdeveloped. She makes some BIG decisions without even thinking about them and just kinda "goes with the flow" about things people reveal to her. She has A VERY Bella Swan-ish moment! Ugh! She fails at almost EVERYTHING she tries to accomplish! And the Seeker series the author indorses as her friend's, is most likely her writing under a different name. Sophia Sharp, Sarah Swan? Same type of bad writing.

It is best to get the boxed set so you can continue reading to the end. I really enjoyed the books. Nora and Hunter had a lot of problems to overcome in the story. There are some errors in grammar and sentences but you are able to fix it while reading. I didn't want to put it down. I got so caught up in their lives that I wanted to know what happened next. Someone commented about it being like Twilight but I don't relate them together. I didn't skip any pages. I would have missed some of the actions if I had done that. Good book for teenagers as there are no sexually graphic scenes in the books. It hints at it but that is it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Honestly, the forsaken series was decent. The more it went on the better the story telling got.
Sophie added another series at the end, the Seekers saga. The first book was ok, but the 2nd was really good and I was have been searching the web for the 3rd. But alas, she has decided not to publish it. I am saddened and being driven crazy, I absolutely hate starting a series and not being able to finish it. (Partially why I won't start GoT series, just in case George R R Martin meets his maker before the story is over.) I have a real problem. And because of this I will probably never pick up another one of Sophie's books. I don't like to be played with, and that's how I feel at this time.

Each writer has her own style...her own unique stories. And ALL are extremely talented! Despite various typos that are occasionally found. Lol. And don't we ALL make them? The storylines are so compelling and downright addictive, the writers are exemplary! I'm grateful I stumbled on this series and shall look for their books and gladly absorb their storytelling on whatever paths they lead.

It is my hope that each of these authors learn how much I truly enjoyed enjoyed each book.

While some thing's were left to the end with no real conclusion, I found the story line to be original and engaging. The characters really popped out as genuine people. I would have liked to know more about them. All in all I really liked the series and I would enjoy a return after she has spent time with her mother.

The Forsaken Saga was a good read. I got lost in the details sometimes, but overall great story! It had just enough meat for you to sink your teeth in without being so long that you get bored reading. I enjoyed the twists-they were unexpected and perfect!

I really enjoyed this story and was impressed with how little cussing there was along with the fact that any romance, which was very little, was all PG. Most YA books have too much sexual content these days, but this was perfect. Although I did feel the author put in cuss words just for the sake of it, and it wasn't necessary. But I truly enjoyed the story as it was so very different from most out there in this genre. Very worth the money!!!!

It also includes two stories from another series she wrote under a different pen name, Sarah Swan. I really enjoyed those stories as well. This author seems to have a really good imagination and has come up with some plots that I have not read before. I truly hope she writes the final book in the Seeker Saga!!!!!! Really looking forward to how she will end that series! Seriously! You left us hanging please finish it!!!! Lol :-)

Maybe actual juveniles would like these books but probably not adults. These books are nothing like the young adult fiction that adults have grown accustomed to. If you're an adult then skip this series.

Absolutely loved the saga, was a very endearing book. The surprise books at the end were great. Only negative thing about the last two books a but too graphic for teens. It would probably be OK for those that are mature enough, but I don't see 13-16 year olds reading it. Much to graphic.

Great potential, but there were some key plot holes and the lack of character development made it difficult to care about the characters. By the end of the fourth book I just didn't care what happened to them. The author could have killed off any character and I wouldn't have minded. The author seems to have a great talent for creating this alternate fantasy world, so I would be interested in future books with better character development and a more complete story line.

Had some great ideas. Lots of potential for a great story, but midway through the last book, I just couldn't care anymore. The main characters lack depth or real personality. As a reader, I felt we knew more about secondary characters than we did about Nora. And the editing: for starters, is it Gabriel or Gabrielle? So distracting.

It was a struggle through the 2.5 books I was able to read. Much like Twilight series and characters, predictable outcomes and long winded. I had to stop I the middle of the 3rd book. I cidn't take it anymore.

I'm an avid reader. On average I read a book a day. I started reading when I was 12 and am currently 44. So, that is a whole lot of books. Paranormal is my favorite genre hands down. Of course I haven't enjoyed every book I read. But I have never hated a book. Until now that is. Literally hate, these books made me so mad. I asked my daughter not to read them. Why? (Books typically are down to personal taste) However, this book has a message that Hunter can lie, mistreat, manipulate, and coerce Nora and it's cool. I would never of thought a woman would write something like this. Especially about a girl who isn't even 18. Horrible books.

The whole series was quite an enjoyable read! I was glad I had the set so I could keep reading and didn't have to wonder how the story was going to end. My 13 year old daughter is reading the series now...hard to find age appropriate yet interesting books and this one fits the bill!

The plot is promising, but fails to deliver and gives away too much too soon. The writing is also awful; Poor dialogue structure, and the writing style is reminiscent of a teenager writing fan fiction. I'd spend money elsewhere.

The basis of the story was good.
However there were many typos in the books, the protagonists name would go back and forth between Nora and Laura, often times the author used words that seemed odd coming from the character that was speaking, many of the characters used the same saying "it's neither here nor there", even when it wasn't likely they would know it, much less use it in everyday speaking (ex. people in Egypt would not use the same sayings as people in USA).
It was an very intriguing story line, however it could have been written better. And the editor probably should have gone over it again before publishing.

I tried, good Lord did I try to read this series. I tried no less than 4 times but every time I tried I wanted to hurl my kindle through the window. There are no likable characters, not in the first 8 chapters at least. Nora is whiny, passive, and completely unremarkable. Poor Hunter is reduced to a plot device so that Nora can whine in new locations. Some reviewers have said it gets better, but it's not worth the effort.

The writings is atrocious. The plot is disjointed. Swish? Really how many times? The writer has no clue how to describe anything. It gets worse. The writer decides to include 2 more books by some friend of hers. She says that there will be sexual situations acceptable for 13 year olds. Um, no. She describes explicit sex meant for adults. She should be reported. Oh and the stories are boring, just terrible. Both these writers have some complex too. Example, in one of the stories a very attractive heroine realizes that a friend of hers has thinner arms. At this point in the story they are in danger. But this attractive girl is ruminating about how she wishes her arms were thinner. Great message for girls out there. I still do not understand why the most awful romances were thrown in. With sex scenes certainly not meant for 13 year olds.
