Angle of Investigation: Three Harry Bosch Stories

This book contains 3 short Harry Bosch stories. One story is written when Harry is working on cold cases but reaches back to when he first started in law enforcement as a street cop. I enjoyed all 3 stories, even though they are really short and am anxiously awaiting the next Harry Bosch book. I love this character!

I love these Harry Bosch books. I wish someone would pick them up for a movie deal. He is such a lonely, needy man; makes me want to take care of him. I think I could change him for the better. Whoops, he's not real!

Just human enough, but just cold enough to do what must be done to stop crime and catch bad guys. Perfect marriage of insight and shoe leather. They can run but they can't hide from Harry Bosch. This trilogy is a tightly-written but flowing account of three who tried and failed...

If, like me, you will read anything you won't mind this lightweight approach to crime writing. I read it because a successful Australian writer said she was inspired by his writing, so I'll get involved in at least another of his books in an effort to gain appreciation for his writing.

It was typically good Harry bosch; however, I was expecting three novels and it was actually three short stories. It was a good thing I was able to access the internet from Mexico. As It was, I ended up downloading several more HB novels to my Kindle.

I feel ripped off by the publisher and the store. the store says book is 101 pages, but almost 40 are preview of the drop. $2.99 for three 20 page short stories is a bit steep. Keep this up and i will go back to buying paperbacks where i can see what i am getting

Another interesting read from Michael Connelly. The firm favourite LAPD Detective Harry Bosch is 'on the case'-cold in this instance, and plots are well developed in this trilogy format. Excellent for busy people who do not have the time for the complexity of a fully developed novel.

As a huge Michael Connelly fan I really enjoyed these short stories featuring my favourite LA detective Harry Bosch. My only complaint would be that there weren't more of them - I could easily devour a whole volume of such stories.

I like these three short stories with unexpected twists. My only complaint is that these stories are too short! Connelly usually spins out his stories much longer and more complex, which is one of the reasons I like his books.

I enjoyed these short stories. They are well-written and constantly keep you interested. The police jargon adds to the content, without confusing the layman and hitting you over the head with achronyms. I really like the Harry Bosch character and his partners. I would have liked a little more of each story. All in all, a very good read.

As usual Connolly creates a great read. Harry, in his world weary, way gives us a believable methodical and procedurally correct character. Whislt dealing with a duplicitous hierarchy, Harry ponders his future and questions loyalties. A real page turner.

I purchased this book, being a long term Michael Connelly fan..
It comprised 2 short stories, 1 being "Angle Of Investigation". Both were fine short stories and I enjoyed both. My dissapointment came about when I began the 3rd section and found it was a trailer to a book I had already read!. This section comprised 40% of the sale item. This was the dissapointing aspect. I welcome your response.

Connelly is the master of police drama and Bosch is a character rich in strengths, weaknesses, principles and most of all, singularity of purpose. Connelly's plots are dense and his characters real. He and Ridley Pearson are similarly wonderful, like twin brothers of police crime...my favorites!
