Jeff Carson has created an interesting
complex man in the person of David Wolf. I look forward to each new release in this series. They are always well written and draw me into the story page after page.

Everytime one of Jeff Carson’s David Wolf books are published I jump on it like a monkey on a banana and completely devour it. What can I say except love the stories and characters and I’ve read them all and never been disappointed. Thanks for another great read.

I have read every book in this series and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. If only more people knew what a great author Jeff is he would likely be a number one on all the top seller booklists. His books are certainly on my must read list.

A good read but I thought it could have been condensed I parts or ha e an additional "layer." The chasing scene was a bit over the top landing. While Carson's prose is well crafted, it was a bit much at times. This is a good writer and I'm sure his future novels will be tighter and a bit more clever.

In the beginning i couldn't believe what I was reading, and assumed i would be disappointed. But the way Jeff Carson told the story had me cheering for David Wolf! It was heartwarming to see how he overcame his problems! Looking forward to the next one in the series.

I truly enjoyed this series! I wish there were more. I liked the way the story was picked up from one book to the next. I would have like a little more developed supporting cast. I look forward to reading more from Jeff Carson. The sooner more Wolf books come to the better! I will be looking for more books by Mr Carson.

Carson’s development of Wolf’s character somehow balances complexity with believability. Wolf gets more interesting as he’s revealed, vulnerabilities and strengths, at the right pace. It could be tricky, but it works well.

Chose this rating because that's how I feel about this book.
Didn't quite move like some of the other books, but I still enjoyed reading it.
I have read all of your books, and look forward to the next one.
As usual I will share this book with my friends and family.

I have just finished the entire David Wolf series and am now lost. I need another book to read. I’m having David Wolf withdrawals. Seriously, I don’t write reviews but I just had to because the first book of the series hooked me. Please read this series. You won’t be sorry.

Jeff has shown another side to David Wolf. So sorry he had to go through this and glad he came back to being the Great Guy that he is. Jeff Carson is a writer that has me wanting more. It was an excellent story, and as always, very exciting. Keep them coming Jeff. I have several friends that are now hooked on David Wolf.

So I binged read all 12 books in the series in a weeks time. I enjoyed every last one! The suspense was very good and kept me on the edge of my seat. The books were well written and very descriptive. I'm hoping that there is another one coming because I want to see Wolf and Luke get together.

Just finished volume twelve in the David Wolf series by Jeff Carson. Once I read his first book I was hooked, I read all twelve in a row. All were great and enthralling reading. Once I started I couldn’t stop. Keep up the good work, I am looking forward to more great stories from this author.

As David Wolf develops as the hero of this series it gives us an opportunity to look at law enforcement and the often overlooked stress of the men and women who protect and serve we the people. We never think that not only the stress of work but their every day lives are filled with those things that give us all problems. I understand stress related panic attacks and the isolated feeling. How Jeff Carson can know how to tell us a really good story and keep the basic story line intact fascinates me as a reader. I now have the entire series and love everyone of them.

i hated what happened at the end of Rain... i still hate the loss of Lauren amd Ella. im a hopeless romantic, and if Tom managed to salvage a bad choice about a wedding...

but Drifted was AMAZING.
no tell tale to the crime's ultimate resolution. as ever real people and real interactions.

so i will be back as soon as he publishes again. and i will still be hoping Lauren figures out the trith that she and Ella couldn't be safer than with David. maybe it will take his saving them again to prove it.

because Detective Wolf deserves happiness, and in a world too lacking of them, reaching the right answer in life as well as colorado back mointain crime makes for a read that stays with the reader, making real life a bit birgjter as well

One of the things I’ve loved most about this series is the depth of character and emotion that the main characters experience. These are not one dimensional characters. They sometimes experience excruciating life challenges. And Carson is brilliant at developing these challenges and seeing the characters through them. This book is a prime example. David Wolf is facing a HUGE loss that is devastating to him. In the beginning of the book he is NOT handling it well. But his friends and coworkers help him to turn the corner and begin to heal. I also love that Carson relates the time and effort it takes to handle issues like these - there is no quick and easy solution. Of course, there is a murder or two to be solved by the detectives. There are always twists and turns to keep the reader quessing who done it until the end. I also love how Colorado is such a character in each of these books. The reader can smell the pine, feel the snow and nip in the air and internally “see” the vistas. The plots (both character and murder) are very well developed and paced. There are no quick - too quick - resolutions to the plots. So the reader gets a real sense of satisfaction for what has happened. I simply can’t more highly recommend this series. Do yourself a favor and read them all - preferably in order to better understand what the characters have experienced and how they’ve handled those experiences. I sure hope Carson is writing quickly on #13. I will download and read it as soon as it is available.

As always, Jeff Carson does not disappoint! Read the latest and greatest in less than 24 hours. I always love how the new cases intertwine with the bad ground stories of the detectives. And love the chieftains of the landscape and I feel like I know the characters. Please keep writing, because you have nailed it dude!

Loved this book and the rest of the series but this one is my favorite. Love Wolf, a great character with a fascinating storyline that gets you hooked from the beginning to the very end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers.

I left and came back to it over several days.. so not a gripping read at all. The lead character Wolf has severe mental/emotional issues that take up a large part of the book and I skimmed through those. Such things are better portrayed in a TV series by charismatic actors as most authors can't articulate personal drama in an engaging way through their writing. Carson is no exception to this. The "action/detecting" parts were lukewarm at best. The character of Rachette -- I kept thinking he was female -- seemed to have some authentic comic potential. I am just surprised so many people gave this book five stars. My recommendation is that they read one or two books from Vince Flynn, Lee Child or Desmond Bagley. I bet they wouldn't come back to stuff like this again.

The normally confident David Wolf seemed to be channeling Thomas Covenant. Too indecisive and self pitying. The last couple of books in this series have been leaning in this direction, spiraling down towards dissatisfaction.

I started reading book one and was hooked! Before I even finished book 1 , I had to download all the rest! I LOVE these stories. They are poignant, action packed, full of love and life! I just am sad to see the end of book 12. It has been a joy to “live “ in Rocky Points, Colorado and see all this great action in my mouth Nd! Thank you, I just wish I could continue there in my minds eye.

A great addition to the other eleven David Wolf books! Of course I've read them all. Having one major crime with others occurring makes a richer read. There are characters we come to care about. There is great detail but not too much.
