I love this cooker. So easy to use and the food is delicious. I was afraid of the stovetop pressure cookers but this one is easy. I would recommend it to anyone. You'll love the food it cooks and how easy it is.

When I first start reading from these brief daily meditation books that come from the 12-step recovery tradition and focus on codependence, teams often raise a hairy eyebrow, confused about why I’m sharing something like that with them.
When I smile and ask, “Can any of us as professional caregivers honestly claim not to have at least a LITTLE bit of co-dependence in us?” They laugh and go, “Oh, yeah! Go ahead…”
Wanting to please people and pursue perfection and care for others aren’t bad traits. It’s when they go amuck that we have problems. Beattie offers honest reflections from her own journey and hard-gained wisdom to help keep us more centered and healthy, as well.

This edition is “good enough”. At a retreat we started each day with Language of Letting Go. I got so much out of it, that I immediately went to purchase the book. I accidentally bought MORE language of letting go. It’s “ok” but she really dials it in compared to the first one. She quotes herself and her books, makes very thin jumps to a point and oversimplifies a lot just to wrap up the day in a nice paragraph. I still use it as a daily meditation but I just haven’t been as inspired as the first book.

Another great book from the premier guru of recovery!
In "The Language of Letting Go" Melody Beattie gave us 365 memorable meditations on detaching from toxic relationships. "More Language of Letting Go" takes us to new heights ;-) as Melody uses metaphors of skydiving as her framework.
Life is handing you scary changes and challenges? Melody advises, say "WooHOO!" as you step into the unknown. Not sure how to handle a tricky situation? Try "dirt-diving," Melody suggests, rehearsing your movements "on the ground" before you need them for real "in the air." She speaks from an incredible fund of experience--and from the heart--as she counsels us to learn to say "Whatever" and to approach life with an attitude of gratitude.
Melody's books are always a treasure store of no-nonsense, compassionate advice that works. In this book I particularly liked her comparing life to a high-risk sport. She suggests that as participants in life, we should sign a full waiver, accepting personal responsibility for all our decisions and forfeiting any right to recourse as a victim, "including my rights to blame, complain, and whine or hold someone else responsible for the path I choose to take."
WooHOO! You GO, girl!
Melody, your final chapter heading is a good description of this whole book: "How Sweet It Is!"

I am not an addict or recovering addict, but this book changed my life for the better. It is simply that I respond well to the way this author puts things, you might say. I would have given this book 5 stars, but the orginal Language of Letting Go (this is *More* Language of Letting Go) is better. However, I certainly recommend having them both and using them both on a daily basis.

The author does get a little bogged down with framing things through her experience of jumping out of airplanes and learning to be a pilot, and that got a little old. But you can read ahead or go backwards if you don't like one day's meditation.

I don't think we as human beings actually recognize the power of daily reading, meditation, and reflecting. Practicing these powerful principles allows us to remain mindful of the moment and reflect upon the deeper question in our lives. To devote ourself to a daily meditation and to journal on these quiet times is priceless and will certainly aid in the evolution of our soul. For me this practice has allowed an awakening to take place and opens my life up to all the opportunities that are available in this universe. Please give this practice a try! This book will help you in your journey of living and cultivating an active consciousness in your daily life.

These short daily writings are insightful and profound. It is amazing how on many days, what is written for that day is exactly what I need to hear. I recommend this very highly. I have both books and jump between them. They both compliment each other completely. Good whether you have a lot of time in your day, or if you are rushed.

I have the original "Language of Letting Go" and am going through a challenging time in my life and decided more daily lessons couldn't hurt. I faithfully read from each book every day and it is amazing how they fit into the pattern of my life. Almost like the book was written exclusively for me at this time. I have never been one to read daily..and I find first thing in the morning with my coffee, I am looking forward to today's lesson. These books have helped through some very hard times.

This is a WONDERFUL daily reading! I read it through last year and am starting over this year. There are some passages that just jump out and smack you in the head because they relate to what you are going throught at the exact time you read it.

After working a 12 step for 9 months, read Language of Letting Go. Brought me in touch w/my feelings. Then my spouse went into
AA. "More Language of Letting Go" continued me on my path to
getting in touch w/my feelings. There's no index, but you
will find it comical how you do read the book. I highly
recommend Beattie's "Journey to the Heart" as a follow-up to
this one!
By reading these 3 books, I know more what I want and can name
the things I want. Before I couldn't.
Beattie pegs it beautifully, when no one else can.

Without Melody and The Language of Letting Go, I would be lost. I read my book until I had to replace it because it was so worn out. It is so nice to have another addition of daily devotions or thoughts to read, it makes us dig deeper and review our progress. Also, the activities help us reflect on postivie actions, instead of dweling on the negatives we all encounter every day. Again, without her wonderful experiences and honesty, I can say I probaly would not be a great mother or have maintained an excellent marriage for 7 years. Keep writing because we love you!

I returned the book for a refund because it is too God-centred for me.
Every thought for meditation began with the word "God".I couldn't be reading that every day.
The first book is [mostly]for everyone .So I've gone right back to it.

The original "Language of Letting Go" is absolutely my favorite daily meditation book! So, I purchased "More Language of Letting Go" with great anticipation. I have never been so disappointed in a book in my life! It was more like reading someone's diary of personal adventures. It was full of egocentric comparisons between skydiving and daily struggles. I didn't find it inspirational at all.

This book of daily affirmations is a great way to start, end or add to your day. The insightful words of Melody Beattie serve to calm the spirit and steel your resolve to love yourself and expect the best from those in your life. An absolutely necessary read for those on a journey through recovery. A treat for anyone wanting to keep their life on the right path.

I would recommend this book to anyone going through a tough time in their lives. It is a daily reminder to keep you going in the right direction. I do not like that it is so religious, but otherwise enjoy the book very much.
