I don't cry at books. It's just not something that I do. But this is the second time that S.L. Scott has brought tears to my eyes through one of her beautifully written stories.

Sara Jane is beautiful and smart, fierce and fiery, and strong enough to stand up to Alexander's deplorable excuse of a father. She knows what she wants and goes after it, never backing down from Alexander even when he tries to push her away.

Alexander is a knight in a bad boy disguise. Though, it could be said that he is equal parts bad boy and knight. He's always fighting for what he wants, even at his own detriment and loss. But his love and adoration for Sara Jane is so beautifully clear to see that it's nearly painful. He would so anything to keep her...even lose her for himself.

I adore this book. It makes me SO happy and yet...I'll keep crying.

Oh man, this review will be hard to write, as my emotions are all over the place. First let me say that this ends in a cliffhanger, but its so worth the read. She pulls you on the from the first page and I just kept getting deeper and deeper in. She does a great job with the characters, I really connected with them. The connection they have is great. She leaves you asking yourself many questions, but I guess that she will answer them in the next book.

Just wow! I'm left in heartbreak. What a strong love story through all the darkness and secrets. Alexander and Sara Jane,The bad boy and the good girl. The dark and the light. Can their Love withstand all the secrets and darkness surrounding them? This book is well written and will make you cry, smile and your heart will be ripped out. Can't wait to read book 2. I highly recommend this book.

Wow. Just wow. A very powerful book about the lightness and darkness within people. But the pure love comes through and wins. SL Scott is a wonderful storyteller! Her words grip you and take you along for the ride, hitting highs and lows. Once I recover from the emotional ride, I'm going to read it again!

This book brought out so many emotions and I loved every second of it. I fell in love with Sara Jane. She slowly discovers that she is much stronger than she thought. Alexander was not her weakness but what gave her strength. I can't wait to read the conclusion of their story..

This book was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride and the story of a deep and abiding love. There were significant twists and turns that kept you from drawing a calming breath. All the while Sara Jane's and Alexander's love for each other kept them fighting to dispel the family evil that would tear them apart. Feelings run deep in this story, and I'm sure that it is safe to say that all readers are anxiously waiting for the next book, Savior.

OMGosh I don't even know where to start. This book was a roller coaster of emotions. What else could I do but hold my hands up in the air and enjoy the ride. I had been in a really big reading slump and this definitely fixed that problem. I fell in love with Alexander and Sara Jane right away. I want to know NOW what happens next. Haven't felt this way about a book in a really long time. Thank you Ms. Scott for bringing my love of reading back to me.

This is an amazing book. Talk about love at first sight. Alexander and Sara Jane have an intense, beautiful connection immediately. She is the light to his dark. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles in their way? My emotions were all over the place and I need more!! Savage is a MUST read. I could not put this book down and it will definitely be on my reread list. I can't wait to read the conclusion of their story.

this is the description of these characters at the beginning. Through betrayals, lies, death and most of all deceit the characters grow and learn so much about each other.

I finished this book in tears (happiness? sadness? frustration? you need to read to find out) and am anxiously awaiting book 2.

This story was an incredible wild ride. There was so much angst and heartbreak. You can't help but love the darkness and quiet strength in the characters. This story was heartbreakingly beautiful! I cannot wait to read book two!

Savage is an intense roller coaster ride. S.L. Scott has a talent for making you feel every emotion that her characters feel. This book is no different.

From the first page to the last we get angst, suspense, romance and heartbreak. And you will feel every single one of them. I was completely gutted but I was begging for more. More King!! I am desperate to find out how the story ends for Sara Jane and Alexander.

Secrets, lies, betrayal, love, a King-- this book is a departure from the traditional love story. The action and drama are well thought out and make the story line flow with emotion and a little suspense. The emotions run high and deep. Hang on for the ride. It's so worth it. Bravo, S.L. Scott! Well done!

After finishing this book, I was an emotional wreck. So many feelings! My heart was pounding, my mind was racing. This story had so many twists and turns, but such a beautiful love underneath it all that fueled the storyline. I was addicted within pages. This author is always excellent at putting her hooks into my heartstrings and digging deep! I was speechless from this book. It is absolutely one of my top reads of the year!

Alexander and Sara Jane's story starts as young love and grows into soul scorching. Alexander has his secrets while trying to hide his darkness from Sara Jane, she is trying to bring her sunshine into his life. Their story is full of angsty love and deceite. There are so many twists and turns that keep you engaged. I loved this book S.L. Scott did an amazing job telling Alexander and Sara Jane's love story. Must Read!!

I won a copy of this from a blog I follow. I'm torn over this book. The story had potential, but the back and forth killed it for me. Leave Me, Stay with me. Love me, hate me. Go, stay. I'm weak, I'm strong. It was dizzying. The characters actually got on my nerves. I love a strong heroine, and although she thought she was strong, Sara Jane came off complete spineless to me. And Alexander repeatedly contradicts himself. The whole birth mom thing was like a blip and then just dropped. It was the whole reason he was supposedly the way he was and it was completely ignored. I want to know what happens, but I'm really not sure if I will read book 2.

Such a beautiful romance story that takes you on a complete rollercoaster ride. The name is just just perfect for this book and the emotions you feel will make you feel savage at times. The twists and turns, the suspense, its just jam pact with everything. It is really hard to write this review without giving anything away so I will keep it short and sweet. You never know what is going to happen next, you can try guessing but you'll just drive yourself crazy. An intense read with great characters this book is a must read for anyone.
I can't wait for book 2, I really hope there's not to long of a wait.

I hate to give poor reviews, but I couldn’t even finish this book. The dialogue is so repetitive and the characters are so back and forth on why he’s bad for her and how he’s her soulmate and she’ll never leave him, then he changes his mind and can’t let her go and she decides she can’t stay with him. It’s over the top and I couldn’t find a plot that was consistent enough to keep me interested enough to keep reading. The back and forth between the two main characters was too dramatic and inconsistent.

Amazing story. It's full of angst, suspense with twists and turns. It will take you through an emotional ride. It will suck you in from the beginning. It's a beautifully written love story. OMG!! This book broke me. S.L. Scott will always be a go to author for me. Her books always move me in one way or another. Just from reading the blurb I knew Savage was going to test my emotions and boy did it. I cried, screamed, laughed a few times, got pissed off wanted to punch people in the book. haha

From the prologue you are sucked into the lives of Alexander and Sara Jane. Alexander is trying to keep Sara Jane safe from harm , she just wants to fully know the man she loves. I couldn't put the book down and more than once had to wipe away tears. I can't wait to find out where this King and Queen end up and if they get their happily ever after.

Wow...SL Scott really outdid herself!!!! Sara Jane fell for the ultimate bad boy... Young Sarah Jane..totally smitten and instantly in love with Alexander... the man with so many secrets!!!! The book kept me captivated and in edge....it was suspenseful. Sexy and hot..... now I need book 2 now!!!!

This was an amazing story!! Sara Jane and Alexander's love was a very unique one but a very strong, compassionate love, nonetheless. Savage is added to the list of one of my top favourite book....absolutely loved every moment of reading this book.
This book is one of the books that once you pick it up, you wont put it down till your finished.
I started this arc this morning, and i have not been able to put it down.
In the midst of school holidays, kids nagging me and "having" to clean the house, i haven't been able to do anything, but continue to know whats going to happen.
Having to put my kindle down for a small amount of time has me yearning to go back to continue on my journey with Alexander and Sarah Jane.
This book has it all from emotion, angst, love and mystery combined in one.
I'm on tender hooks waiting for the next book to be released!!!

My first book by S.L. Scott and it was awesome! I was pulled in right from the beginning, I love Alexander and Sara Jane together, how protective he is of her. Things aren't always as they seem with secrets and lies, a lot of angst. This is the first book in this series and it ends with a cliffhanger.

Savage wrecked me just wow all kinds of emotions reading this book. I could not put it down. Sara Jane and Alexander had such a love that I couldn't imagine anything bad happening and then when it did ahhh. You must read this book!! Be warned it has one heck of a cliffhanger that will leave you screaming in tears. I'm impatiently waiting for the next book.

When you read Savage you might want to buckle your seatbelt because you are about to go on the ride of your life. Sara Jane and Alexander ate everything in this book. The ride this book takes you on is non-stop. I highly suggest this book to everyone. And I'm psyched to read Savior

What did I just read? Emotional roller coaster to be sure. I have to say I wasn't a huge fan of the back and forth the author portrayed - at times it was hard to follow. But the ending.... WOW... HOOKED and can't wait for book 2.

The story of Alexander and Sara Jane was addicting. Their story was dark, but yet so sweet. I loved their story from beginning to end. I'm so glad I waited to read this duet until both books were available. Sara Jane was young and innocent and Alex was rough and sweet. They were hot and electrifying together. I loved it.

This book is quite the emotional read - hang on to your seat ... I loved this story. The read was complicated and compelling. The characters were written with such depth. I loved it and can not wait for Book 2. I feel so taken with Alexander; although broken he's one tough tough alpha hero trying to do what he feels his girl needs and deserves. Awesome!

Alexander and Sara Jane have a chance meeting just days before Sara Jane’s 18th birthday. They soon become inseparable, dependent on each other, maybe just a little too much. Sara Jane is the innocent college student, Alexander the mysterious rebel that disappears in the middle of the night, doing god knows what. When Sara Jane begins to learn what Alexander does in the shadows of night, she soon learns her life is in danger, and Alexander has to do whatever he can to keep the love of his life safe. Can he do that and still find the answers he’s looking for?

Savage reads a lot like the movies True Romance or Natural Born Killers. Not in the “ride or die” kind of way, (however it may very well shape up to be), but a story of undying loyalty. A faithful to the end, may the world be damned kind of story, which I love.

My only gripe with the book would be within the first 40%. While the relationship between Sara Jane and Alexander was well established, perhaps it was a little overdone, meaning there was a bit more angst than necessary. Sara Jane, naïve to a fault, felt like a weaker character than she should be. I was not bothered by the cliffhanger (it is a major one!) because the finale is coming out soon, and it was a doozy of a cliffhanger. I almost felt a rush of adrenaline at the end.

If you’re a fan of romantic suspense, this one is for you. Scott once again crafts a story that you won’t want to put down, trust me!

It is an amazing story of star crossed lovers and their constant drama back and forth keeps the story very riveting. Steamy in parts, sensual in others, and downright tense through and through. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for book 2 to save me from the limbo of what could possibly happen next.

I love how she saw her dark side and still want him, no matter what he do to scare her away. Ok maybe i should start with what this book is about, is a story about love. A love who sick revenge, a love who see light brought the darkness, a love so strong no matter what stand and fight and shine. I really can't wait August to read the book 2.

Just. Wow. I have never read a romance that gripped me this hard. I think I need to suffer a book hangover for a couple of days before starting another book just to process everything! The dual point of view, along with the flashbacks, meld together beautifully to create an intense romance. This is a great beginning to a new series.

Gripping, emotional and one of the best books I've read. King and Sarah Jane's love story it shows real life, passion, and heartache. I truly did not expect a book to have me so emtional, tears, laughs and heart pounding I had such a hard time putting this book down. I don't know where to begin, this book is beautiful and perfect. The feels, they are all there. Alexander and Sara have a love so beautiful and breathless which breathless is how this book has left me. My heart, my soul, oh god this book!! I need more!!

This was a dark book that I really enjoyed. I thought King was taking advantage of her naivety. He has a lot of demons and to him she was his reprieve. There was a lot of hidden depth that brought me more into the story and for the life of me I couldn't let go. I hope the next book lead into riding of the loose ends.

This book will pull you in and you won't want to put it down. It leaves you guessing as to what will happen next and trust me, what you think is going to happen doesn't. Beautifully written with great character development and plot. You'll feel the love and angst the characters go through-it's that good. Can't wait to find out what happens in the next book.

I skipped through th this novel as was youngish and went to the second novel and so on. Had to co.me back to beginning, this novel. Do not make that mistake as this epic saga that is poetic romance is a beautiful tale with dad and tangled with happy endings.

I was given an arc of this book. I'm so glad! It is unputdownable! The secrets and lies tag along with all of the characters and affect their relationships, breaking down some and leaving others to become stronger. It is a cliffhanger!! When you get to the end you will want the next book ASAP!!

OMG what a bizzare read... so much depth and angst... well done SL.Scott... Alex and Sara had the 'IT' forever love toward each other... but with so many layer of dark secret between them... it was heavy...sad... stomach turn in every pages.. I cant wait for chapter 2 ?????

Oh my gosh! I am speechless. I honesty cannot remember the last time a book had me crying. Savage is so freaking amazing. I felt like I was in the story. Beyond well written..... I could envision all that was going on! I cannot recommend this book enough. It has everything......EVERYTHING! We all good use some Alexander Kingwood in our lives! SL Scott has outdone herself. I need part 2 ASAP.

OMG the emotional roller coaster this book puts you on is crazy! Love, death, pain, retribution, rebirth in finding yourself. I couldn't put this book down and now I am anxiously awaiting Savior! I have a book hangover after finishing this! This is now one of my favorite reads.

My first SL Scott book and WOW what a read! A book that will grab you from the start, build and build until you're racing to finish. This ending will leaving you not only wanting but begging for more. Now to patiently (not) wait for Savior. Highly recommend reading this!

This book had me captivated from beginning to end.
I had so many emotions during this book; I was happy, confused, mad, and ugly crying. The sex scenes were hot ass well. I was able to feel their love for each other. Can't wait until Savior releases.

Some may call this book a rollercoaster ride. It made me feel more like a yo-yo. Moving between past and present, and different points of view. Feelings from I love you to please leave me, and secrets that are still buried. Ends on one doozy of a cliffhanger.

Talk about rip my heart out!! This is an angsty read with quite a bit going on and in the end you are rooting for Alexander and Sara Jane send their love for each other to prevail. I couldn't out this book down and now I need book two ASAP!!!!

The story was good, the characters are all likeable, & it is well written but it is hard to know how good or not it is until I have read the second book since this one ended how it did. There is potential for it to be great or suck majorly

Omg!! Alexander and SJs relationship was so intense. The love they shared with each other was off the charts. I LOVE how committed they were to each other. No matter what they faced their love and Need for each other stayed true. This is a must read. Put it on your list heck bump it to the top you won't be disappointed.

Alex and Sara, modern-day star crossed lovers fighting for a life of their own. My only problem with the book was that it jumped right away into Alex trying to solve his families past mistakes. I felt that it seemed to much about Alex and not enough of Sara, what brought her into his world. The love they have is great just didn't feel a real connection between these two. Seemed like Sara was an object Alex couldn't live without but was more about Alex. All in all would have loved if it was more about Sara less on Alex in this case. Again this is the first book hopefully the second will be better.

This book kept me hooked from beginning to end. Dark and yet beautiful, romantic and yet gritty, it really grabbed hold of my heart and kept on squeezing until the end. I'm on the edge of my seat for book 2 - August can't come quickly enough!

OMG! What a book! What a love story! What a plot! The characters are so real, you can feel what they're feeling. Their angst are so strong. Their emotions are so well described.

This is the first book I've read by S.L. Scott and I absolutely loved it. It was well written and emotionally charged. Twists and turns with some gut wrenching moments. I will definitely be picking up more of her books.

What a ride! I never knew where this story was going to take me and I loved that feeling! This if my first read by S.L. Scott and I can't wait for more of the tension and edge of the seat story lines to keep coming!

The book was just ok for me. It wasn't horrible but it didn't steal my attention. I kind of wish the backstory was given upfront versus going back and forth in the book. The best part was the cliffhanger which will have me reading the next book in the series.

I tried hard with this book. It never came . I was intrigued from the beginning but as I continued to read, I got bored and frankly a little angry. I waited for a plot, anything for this story to begin but it was all repetition. He's bad, she's good. She should run from him, she's not going, they are soul mates. That's all I kept reading. Why is he bad?! I couldn't tell you. Then, when there was finally something of substance involving his father, I thought, ok, here we go. But no, it was said and done in several pages and then back to, I love you, I'm not going anywhere, I'm bad, you should go, etc. I never leave bad reviews and I apologize to the author. I finally quit 86% into it.

This book kept me on edge in a good way. Loved the twist and turns and how it kept me guessing what might happen next. I love Alexander man oh man. Then him and Sarah have an electric bond between them which seems to light up through my kindle.
Definitely recommend this book. Thanks SL Scott for a great read!

Overall this book was a good read. I felt Savage took a little longer to get into than the other books I've read by S.L. Scott but in the end it held my attention and left me on the edge waiting for book 2. I really enjoy a prequel to the books I read but would have liked to see the prequel come to life much sooner than it actually did but there were lots of twists and turns which kept me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait for book 2!

As always, S.L. has done it again. Taken a story, turned it around and left you wanting more! It took me a little while to get into the story as the back and forth between time was a bit harsh early in the book, however, everything quickly turned and I was sucked in! Thanks so much! I can't wait for the next one!

She's annoying and has no depth... he's just as boring and makes for a terrible hero. There's way too much love dovey teenaged sounding dialogue. I skipped over a lot because it was just so dull. Even the ending was just 10 pages of "oh I love you and your beautiful eyes you are my world blah blah." Real people don't talk like this.

couldnt finish. tried to, hada little more than an hour left. got tired of the pages and pages of "you are my world" " nothing without you" lovedy dovey firefly crap! needs more substance than a bunch of entitled rich kids trying to be master sleuths.

...because now I'm so tired from staying up all night reading it from start to finish in one night. Literally couldn't put this book down. Felt so many emotions...shoot, I'm still feeling them. Can't wait for Savior so that I indulge into the life of King & Firefly once again.

The author really tried to create a good star crossed lover mystery. But really only acheived a childish relationship with no clear mystety I spent most of the book confused as to where the intrigue was and nauseated with the amount of repeated "I love you" your my soul " blah blah blah. I have read some really great books and some not so great books this is probaby in the middle. If Meh was and option I would rate it that.

DNF and I usually finish everything. 30% into the book there had been endless repetitive dialogue, perceived mysteries that are not explained and NOTHING had happened. The reader gets that there is angst but you have no clue what it is about. Unfortunately, I didn't care enough to keep going.
