I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this book. The story line kept my attention so much that I couldn't put it down and I read it all in one sitting. The characters were fully developed and believable. They all had lost something in their past that brought them together. Now they have a common goal. I loved the fact that there was a strong female lead. The story ends, but the story line does continue in the next book. I highly recommend this book.

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.

Demon Possession by Kiersten Fay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

GENRE: Science Fiction Fantasy/Romance
THEME: Alien/Demon
RECEIVED: From Author
AUTHOR: Kiersten Fay Site

REVIEW:
I haven't read a good science fiction fantasy with some awesome steamy romance in a long time; Demon Possession was a great debut for author Kiersten Fay.

The story starts of with a bang, the lead female character Analia is trapped on a ship that she calls The Hell Ship. And she is right, used and enslaved on the ship by its horrible captain Analia will do anything to get away. Luckily a merchant ship comes in and become her only way out of the hell.

This ship is far different than the one she has lived on most of her life. The crew is cheerful and the captain...oh the captain is down right sexy. Sebastian is from a demon race where the males have horns and females have tales. He is every bit a good captain but his temper is always up and down and even more so with the sudden appearance of Analia.

The characters are so entertaining a really well written, each with such different personalities that everyone will connect with them. There is humor, action, and different alien species and of course some really hot romance.

The captain not only has his crew but his brother and sister along for the ride as well. Sonya and Cale are key characters to the first book and I know will be even more in the second. Sonya is spunky and tough as nails, where Cale can take down anyone with just a look. Loved these too.

The romance...Oh wow. Can I just say the scenes between Analia and Sebastian were not only steamy, they made you blush, smile and wish you were in Analia shoes. Sebastian is smoking and Analia is a whole bundle of desire for him. I liked the chemistry and bickering, got to have a bit of drama between the two leads.

Overall this was a great book, defiantly will recommend this to anyone who loves paranormal romance, romance, and science fiction fantasy. Kiersten Fay is an author that everyone should be watching out for and getting her book.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel with lots of sexual content that is for mature readers. If you're a fan of Ann Aguirre Sirantha Jax series or Larissa Iones' Demonica series, you will love this!

I have never read this author before, but I am in love. I was worried this was going to be some trash with a poor woman overcome by an intense and strong man, maybe just filled with... hollow hugs and kisses. Maybe there is a bit of skipping with a shorter transition leaving a character a bit less explained, but I was left WANTING to know more because what was given about these people was compelling and relevant. This whole series is amazing with each character not only bad or good; in my opinion, the (a) secret to a well drawn bad guy is to have the guy or gal want what anyone might want but not to care about the cost of getting that "what." This person might have such a poor character that she/he's like a dark shadow to anything or anyone he/she's connected to, like a person consumed by objects and belongings, maybe wishing to be lovely but only taking from others, some allowing it, some torn, forced and damaged to be made into a trophy, covering an empty gaping hole of a human being. When I look at a quality bad guy, when I am that bad guy, there are accomplishments and the unhappy and unwilling presence of others, but no presence of this person, none of me. Seeing a bad guy is like a distorted mirror of others, and I feel we all have had elements of this in life, bits and pieces of others, but little of ourselves. That's why we love heroes so much, people who are powerful and courageous in their vulnerability, when sacrifice strangely strengthens; it feels good to be near someone who doesn't need others to be a person for them, not a better or worse comparison, but present and living (which is something we can all be ☺️). So, there are heroes and villains in this series, and it is GOOD. Maybe a bit naughty in places too, just FYI.

Having not read many science fiction novels, I couldn't imagine how demons would come into play out in space. I was very surprised at how easily I was drawn into the story and quickly became addicted to turning the pages late into the night! My heart went out to Anya hearing her history but always thought there was something special about her. I loved how Kiersten wove the storyline which became more intriguing with each chapter. Of course the hero is everything and more than you would expect, the good the bad and the super hot! I also connected with the strong familial thread throughout the book, which was also surprising and extremely enjoyable. I was super excited to hear earth being mentioned and can't wait to get to that story although I think there might be another story that needs to be read! I'm so glad I found this author and this new series and can't wait to read the next installment!

The Demon's Possession (Shadow Quest Book 1): Paranormal Romance
The Demon's Possession (Shadow Quest #1) by Kiersten Fay (Goodreads Author)
Debra Johnson's review Jun 27, 2017
bookshelves: 3-other-authors
New Adult Sci-fi/Paranormal Romance/Suspense
First the negatives.
Slow moving from about a quarter of the way in up to the end. Things definitely could have moved faster throughout the book. There is a lot of repetition and various types of errors. None of the errors got in the way of the flow of the story. The repetition and speed of action does. So much so, I would find myself nodding off or skipping over paragraphs.
Now the positives.
A great storyline. The good parts are REALLY good. The main characters and the secondary characters are all very interesting. The world build is intriguing.
I liked the story, but I didn't love it. However, it does have me wondering what happens in the next book.
Truthfully, I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. Maybe they have a better copy that has all the repetition and slow parts edited out. For me it is a solid 3 stars.

The Demon's Possession by Kiersten Fay is the first book of a very promising series in the science fiction/paranormal romance genre.
It features a strong heroine Analia and her demon captain Sebastian as the main protagonists.
Well written, with an original plot, the story flows smoothly and it includes vivid, colourful and very well developed characters - both good and not so good - that support and enhance this wonderful storyline.
There is good detailed description of characters and the various scenes and settings throughout, thus making it easy to envision the scenes as the story unfolds.
I enjoyed reading of the chemistry between Analia and Sebastian and how the two, after much trials and tribulations came together.
A very enjoyable book to read. Highly recommended.

I received this book from the author and the Making Connections group in exchange for a honest review.

My Thoughts: Loved this book!!!! This is the second book that I have read by this author and I was not disappointed. All the secondary character added to the story. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. This book ends on a sort-of cliffhanger. The story takes place almost entirely on a spaceship. That did not bother me at all probably because I am such a big fan of Star Trek TNG and Deep Space Nine.

Characters:
1. Analia - She has been a slave since she was a little girl. She has a gift, but does not embrace it. It has only brought her pain, suffering, and exploitation. As a result, she has serious trust issues. She is so damaged that in her mind suicide is like freedom to her. She does not even give it a second thought. It was sad after she escaped to see her observe things for the first time. She does not know who she is or where she came from.
2. Darius - A truly evil man who has been holding Analia prisoner.
3. Sebastian(Demon) - He is a alpha hero with a sensitive side. He always took into consideration her feelings before he acted. He never took advantage of her. In fact, he resisted her in the beginning. He was never mean or demeaning toward her. Even when circumstances point towards her guilt, he remains steadfast in his love for her.
4. Cade(Demon) - He is Sebastian's brother and his second in command on the ship.
5. Sonya(Demon)- Sebastian and Cade's sister. She runs the pub on the ship. She was kind to Analia and helped her to adjust to her newfound freedom.
6. Marik - He runs the galley on the ship. He feels a kinship towards Analia because they were both slaves. He treats her as a big brother would.

The Story: Analia escapes unto Sebastian's ship when it is docked to Darius's ship. She hides in a maintenance hatch in the control room. Sebastian and Darius conclude their business and Sebastian departs not knowing he now has a stowaway on board. Sebastian is eager to get underway. His new job is to deliver a small parcel and in exchange he will receive a huge payment. After about a week, Sebastian hears a groan in the control room and discovers her hiding place. He promptly takes her to see the ship's doctor. When she wakes up, she is questioned by Sebastian. He offers to take her back where she came from. She tells him she would rather die. Sebastian decides to test her. He gives her the option of being taken back or being released into space. She takes the suicide option. He leads her to a room and leaves her there. All she needs to do is press a button and she will be sucked into space. She presses the button and nothing happens. She slumps in defeat. Freedom was ripped from her again. He picks her up and returns her to sick bay. When she next wakes, Sebastian tells her he will give her a job and a room as long as she agrees to not hurt herself. She promises to abide by his rules.

The rest of the book deals with:
1. Analia's discovery of who and what she is.
2. The slow progression on Analia and Sebastian's relationship.

Overall, a fabulous science fiction romance brimming with action and adventure.

I received a free copy of Demon Possession from the author Kiersten Fay. Ms. Fay has created a fascinating world of space travelers. This is the story of Sebastian the Captian of the merchant space ship Marada and a runaway slave Analia.

Analia has been enslaved on the ship Extarga know as the Hell Ship for many centuries since she was a small girl. She doesn't remember much of her past life but at times she gets glimpse of what she thinks are dreams. Analia has very powerful and unsual gifts or powers. She escapes and boards the Marada.

Sebastian his brother Calic and sister Sonya have excaped a horrible war on there planet. There planet was destroyed by the Kayadon's. Calic's mate and there mother betrayed there planet.

Analia and Sebastian's are destained to mate.

I don't ususally read Sci Fi but it was free and I am glad I read it. Its very fast paced. Tons of action, interesting characters and unusal planets. The romance is a slow build up to one heck of erotic sex between Analia and Sebastian.

The biggest problem I had with the story was the physical abuse that Analia went through while enslaved on the Extarga at the hands of its sadist Capt. Darius. Then again at the end of the story when he recaptures her. It was just to much for me. I hate reading about physical abuse and it does not endear me to those kinds of storylines. Physical abuse is just not necessary to make a story more exciting!! It really puts cold water on a hot romance!!

I was skeptical to read this one because the reviews varied drastically. It appears this is one of those that you either love or hate. Thankfully I really enjoyed it. Here's my breakdown:

The pros:
* I loved the world created and how there were so many diverse paranormal beings
* In lots of reads the insta-love is brutal - I never got that feeling here
- The hero and heroine seemed realistic and genuine
* The character depth was great - Even the secondary characters felt relatable - I adored them all
* The plot was fast paced and I never found myself growing tiresome of the plot
* Steamy sex - not only was it hot but filled with passion

The cons:
* I think it's over priced at its current listing of $5.99 - Especially considering it’s the first book of a series
* It could use an editor
* The writing style could have had more depth but this didn’t seem to take away from the overall story or character development - it just could have been a bit more

Overall, I liked this book and look forward to reading the next one in this series.

This is the first in the Shadow Quest Series by Kiersten Fay. This was my first title of hers and I was immediately hooked and read the entire series after finishing this one. Anya has been held captive and abused on another ship and sees an opportunity to escape when she stows away on a merchant ship run by demons. Once she is discovered, she remains on the ship and begins to develop relationships with the crew members, particularly with the captain, Sebastian, with who she shares an immediate and mutual attraction. The captain and crew are on a mission which they must complete before they can drop her off and it eventually becomes apparent that there is more to her than initially seemed.
This book was impossible to put down. There is an underlying story that carries through all the books in the series, with each book being the story of one of the crew of the ship and their mate. The books can be read standalone, but once you read this one, you'll want to keep on going to find out not only what happens with each of the crew member's own story but also the overall adventure that they are all drawn into.

Let me start by saying that I am a huge Sci-Fi fan. As such, I am always willing to give a new book a chance that is in this genre. With that said, I am so glad I started reading this. The emotions that you feel from Analia during the entire story captivated me from the beginning. Then, there is the relationship between her and Sebastian had me following with baited breath. While it seems to have advanced rather quickly, there is nothing lost in the relationship. I loved reading the advancement of Analia from a younger naive woman into someone stronger without losing the core of who she was as a person. Some books I read, I can put them down, but with this one, I read all through the night and then read it two more times just to make sure I did not miss anything.

Demon Possession by Kiersten Fay...Wowzer 5 Stars

Wow, What a fascinating read. So incredibly written. I got so engrossed with it I forgot about the time. All the different demons plus them having fated mate. I guess I never thought them as good, lol.
There is fairies and spaceships. Worlds being destroyed. Betrayed by loved ones all for a bigger picture. plus...200+ years being held as a slave just because of her gift. Then Anya escaping Darius and finding Sebastian and his crew on his pirate ship, oh my, talk about a lot of action. And it's all good.

The way the author describes it really brings the story to life. And I so want a room like the Sactionary. Nerve racking intensity will keep you on your toes. Full of yummy hotness, but don't push your man to the Edge, lol.

Recommend for mature audiences.

I had heard a lot of comments about this book and the author so when asked if I would be interested in reading and reviewing the book, I jumped at the chance. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to do so.

I really enjoyed this first book of the Shadow Quest series, and that's unusual. Typically, the first book of a series is so filled with world-building that you have to push yourself to stick with it. Demon Possession didn't have that problem. For the most part, it was fast-paced and entertaining. There were a few scenes here and there that probably weren't neccessary, and the story dragged a little in those moments, but overall, it stayed interesting and engaging from beginning to end. This is a great representation of the sci-fi/futuristic romance genre. There's even a bit of paranormal thrown into the mix to shake things up. I loved how this book told one complete story, as well as starting 3 additional stories for future books in the series. I'm really excited to read more books by this author, and I'd recommend this series to anyone who enjoys sci-fi romance; particularly readers who like the Cyborg Seduction series by Laurann Dohner and the Brides of the Kindred series by Evangeline Anderson.

Overall rating 4.6 **

I am new to this author so I truly enjoyed this style of writing. It feels to me like blended genres which totally got me hooked. The characters became real and leaped out to hold my interest. This authors writing tortured me, I felt the buildup between characters and I just wanted to push them together but I realize that is the whole point....to keep me reading. Needless to say, my interest never dropped ! As a first exposure this book did its job because I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2! All of my reviews are always voluntary.

I'm impressed! A wonderful start to a series. In depth plot and blooming character development.
Anya is searching for freedom and trying to find who she is. Her world has consisted of slavery, pain, anguish and being locked away on a vast ship. When she finally escapes to another ship and stows away, her future is unknown.
She awakes on a demon ship..and her life will never be the same.
This is a fast paced sci-fi romance/adventure. There are several erotic scenes that had me just a little excited (winks). The relationship between Anya and Sebastian is hit and cold while they try to figure out their emotions. I was screaming, "Kiss her already! " but I did enjoy watching their relationship bloom.
The ending? No, I'm not going to tell you how it ends. What I do want to say about it is...That's how you end a series. A conclusion and the promise of more! Well done, Kiersten!

Great first book of the Shadow Quest series! Analia has been a slave to a cruel man, Darius, for years. She finally escapes and hopes to gain her freedom, however, that doesn't happen. Sebastian is the captain of the ship she escapes to, and is a demon. Analia knows she has some powers but doesn't know exactly what and how to use them. She and Sebastian both notice a growing passion between them, but Darius is determined to get her back. And during all of this, she finds out she's a princess hidden away by her father, and that she has to also find her two sisters she doesn't remember. Not going to tell you anymore, you'll need to read the book. Believe me, you won't be disappointed! I'm ready to start on the 2nd book!

Suspense -Action - Angst and Romance made this an engaging and exciting first in series
A well-developed storyline that, for the most part, flowed smoothly. There were a couple scenes that did drag, but overall the plot line was well executed and easy to follow
The characters were intricate and well developed, they complimented one another to create a very entertaining cast
The world building was unique - I greatly enjoyed the mixing of the paranormal with sci-fi
Looking forward to reading ?two

Demon Possession by Kiersten Fay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 stars. I had a hard time rating this book. I wanted to give it 5 stars but that would have been just a little bit of a lie. It was so freaking long. The first half was kind of slow and it was really just about a girl learning about how to move on from a horrible life And then theres a little bit of her and her demon falling in love and then in the last 25% of the book we find out who she is. I just think that the there is soo much information pushed into the last quarter. I wish it was sprinkled in throughout instead of all at the end.

I loved the book though. I did love seeing Analia grow into her own person and I absolutely loved all of the characters and I am excited to see where the series goes!

This book was just awesome.

Sebastian and Anya are to characters that you want to have the happy ending but nothing in their life goes according to plan.

The writing was smooth though not all spelling errors were caught but this did not detract from the story in any fashion. The writer keep a steady pace with the story event to engage the readers mind picturing this cast of characters.

Normally it takes me a few days to read a book over 300 pages but I did this one in a day because I needed to know what was going to happen next.

Lets just say you don't get the end of the story but you definitely get more details that will lead you to the next book "Demon Slave" will pick up from the turn in Demon Possession.

Plan on reading the next two books in the series to find out what happens to everyone.

A mission...one: escape, form those who have done nothing but harm her and use her against her will. When that is accomplished there is only hiding and trying to survive. That road is not so simple. She has a threat behind her chasing after her and now....No she has found out a few things she had no idea about and is not sure how to fulfill that task. Daunting as it is she pushes forward in hope that she may be able to find those who are lost form a past she has very little memory of.
Ever hear the expression "They way to enlightenment is paved with obstacles and pain"? It has pain, betrayal, injustice, secrets and above all friendship, family and love. I am so intrigued and inspired to keep reading this series. This book was a great read. Well written, fantastic characters. Adding this author to my favorite list. Received a copy from a sweepstakes entry.

I will be honest and admit that with such a range of reviews from 1-5s I was worried of what to expect. I am just excited that I received the book and gave it a chance. The book covered all the characters that will be through out the series. In this particular book it is about Anya and Bastian. People have reviewed that they hate that the couple wasn't instantly in love, yet I found that it was a welcome change. They both admit lust but they were just afraid to admit the mate worthy chemistry between them. I did enjoy how the all the characters developed within the plot. There was just enough adventure and surprises to keep the reader interested. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series to see how these demons find happiness.

Enslaved all her life by a cruel and heartless man Analia finally takes a chance and escapes form the Extarga and the man that torments her to a foreign one.. the Marada who has a captain that is both deadly dangerous and extremely enticing. After stowing away on the ship Analia comes face to face with that captain and finds that she is in for more than just escaping but maybe the most dangerous and thrilling time of her life!

Analia is a timid girl (comes from her imprisonment), she is beautiful, unique, and a heart that is full of compassion for others, even ones that have done her wrong in some way. She is taken under the wing of the Captain of the Marada, Sebastian, her gives her a job and freedom on the ship. Sebastian is an extremely guarded demon who has many hardships in his past. He is rough and tough and one who you don't want to cross. He also finds himself attacted to Analia and the feeling is mutual. I love their relationship. You get to watch it blossom right in front of your eyes and its wonderful to see a hard guy become gentle with the right women. There is a strong uncertainty and feeling of unworthiness on both parts each for their own reasons.

Demons Possesion is an adventure with mind-blowing love story and things that you never thought possible. There are some great sex scenes and gripping action parts. I was not expecting the back story of Analia and I love the way it has turned the story.I can not wait to see what is in store for the Marada and the people on board. This story is for all those whole love adventure, magical powers, hot sex, and a sense of purpose.

What a fabulous story. I love Kiersten Fay's book. They always have action, drama, suspense, and of course hot romance. This one is no different. It is wonderfully written with just the right amount of intrigue and suspense and romance. It is extremely well written as with all her works. It has a great story line and love the plot of the book. I loved Analia and Sebastian's characters. They have great chemistry and hot romance. I love how they communicate with each other. This isn't a short story where it leaves you hanging wondering what is going to happen. It has a lot of depth that you can sink your teeth into. Demon Possession is a story that follows a woman named Analia. Analia is a slave. Her master, Darius, is a ruthless and cold-hearted man. He uses and tortures her for her unique gifts. She has been his slave for a very, very long time. Analia obviously wants out her torturous life, but could never find a way out. Things change when the impossible happens and she has her chance. She escapes and sneak onto another ship. Problem is they could be just as dangerous as Darius or worse. Not to mention they are on a mission for their next delivery and they will be in space for months with no stops. Analia may have escaped from one prison to another. But she soon becomes the talk of the ship to everyone on board especially the sexy captain, Sebastian.

We got another winner!!! I couldn't out this book down. I stayed up until 5:00AM reading this book. Devoured it in a day. One of my favorites of 2013, quite possibly in the top 5. Yeah, I enjoyed it that much. The story was captivating and the characters were to die for. It is impossible not to love this band of supes. Analia (aka Anya) was a great heroine. She has literally been through hell (her slave ship was the Hell Ship). I love that she inspects things at all angles and thinks of others before herself. She doesn't know how the people on the ship would treat an escaped slave and is very cautious around everyone. I love watching her slowly break down those walls. I also love seeing how strong she was. After being a slave for hundreds of years, she wasn't going to let anyone take her freedom away. She fought like a warrior.

I loved Anya's connection with everyone on the ship as well. Sebastian was a great lead. I loved the tension between him and Anya. They both had a great mistrust of each other and for good reasons. Sebastian and his siblings, Calic and Sonya, have been through hell as well. They were all betrayed by people very close to them, so they have some strong trust issues and are tough as nails. Won't lie, Sonya and Calic were favorites, Sonya was spunky and may have been small, but she can definitely kick some ass. I was worried about Calic at first. He was the scariest of the three. After hearing about his past, you can tell he is still scarred from it. But I loved how he slowly broke out of his shell as well. He trusted Anya the least and I love where things ended up. Then we also had Marik. He is the cook on the ship and a former slave like Analia. I loved the connection between them as well. He treats her like a little sister. He is sort of in Calic's territory, but it didn't take him nearly as long to warm up to Analia.

I loved this story. It was such a captivating read. Anya has no idea what she is, but she knows her powers are very useful. Due to her powers, she knows Darius will follow her and the crew she has come to love. The book focuses on her trying to come to terms with her new life and how it may be short-lived. No one knows of the threat they are dealing with. Sebastian is trying to ignore his feelings for Anya, but he can't. He wants to destroy the man that tortured her. But he doesn't know who it is yet. She holds on to that knowledge (and that of her power) because she doesn't know what Sebastian might do. They may be attracted to each other, but trust is very slim still between them. Things take an even bigger turn in the book when Sebastian finally makes the delivery of a very important box to a pirate named Ethanule (Ethan). What Ethan reveals will change Anya forever.

I loved this book a lot. I couldn't get enough of it. The only negative about this book that I can think of were the typos. There are quite a bit. But that definitely didn't hinder my enjoyment of the book. I love the journey we took with these characters. They may not be human, but they were all very relatable. Their dialogue and chemistry was fantastic. Sebastian and Anya were off-the-charts hot. A cold shower really won't help you where these two were concerned. Sebastian may be the Alpha, but Analia is just as stubborn as he is. They fit together beautifully. I love this so much. Once I am done catching up with this series, I will re-read it. Next book is Marik's book and I can't wait. I loved him. Highly recommended if you are looking for an epic story with epic and sexy characters. Can't miss this one.

An amazing book!! Bastian isn't really a bad guy more like trying to keep his brother and sister alive because their planet and its people were killed or sold off as slaves. But some escaped like Bastian and his siblings. Anyway Anya escapes onto Bastian's ship and hides away and nearly dies until Bastian finds her and even though Bastian doesn't trust her at first he protects her. Even though this book is a cliffhanger Bastian's and Anya's story is sorta complete as a love story but not as an adventure and save the universe type of story.

The plot was a great idea with a lot of potential but it's really let down by its lack of world & character development, inconsistencies and really, achingly simplistic and utterly basic (unbelieveably so at times) mistakes in spelling, grammar, use of vocabulary (e.g. saying "weather" instead of "whether" several times!!!) and formatting.

The sheer (not "shear", Kiersten) number and variety of these mistakes was mindboggling, quite incredible. And unfortunately it really detracted from the experience of reading an otherwise passable book. I've read professionally published stuff that has worse problems than those I've outlined below, but never one so amateur in this, most basic of departments.

Now the story is good and full of interesting ideas; the characters, though a bit one dimensional, are likeable - together this pulled me along to the finish despite my growing frustration.

Overall I enjoyed it, but I know it could have been so much better with a decent editor to help the author pull it together more and rip out a lot of the clunky prose and repetitive over-description, tighten up the dialogue so it flowed more naturally in places.

And for the love of all that is holy my dear, get someone to proofread!

Dang, was this a great book! It had all the elements that I like in a book, it had the must have paranormal element, with some sci-fi mixed in, meaning they are in space, and there is other species too, the Demons in this book are more of another race from another planet, instead of the demons and angels type you would normally think of.

It was a little more naughty than I am comfortable reading, but I just skim over those parts, lol. I know I am weird, lol. I loved the story, so kept reading anyway. I know many out there like the major steam in their books, so if you like the suspense and mystery mixed with major hot guys (ok demons, but the look like humans, except one small part I won't mention)

I really connected with the characters. I felt really bad for Anya and the life she lived for so long. I was so glad that she was able to grow into a strong person, and not be the victim anymore.

I liked Sebastian for the most part, he was a demon of course and his ways are different than that of a human, so had to take that into consideration. I actually love the different perspectives we get in this book, its not written in the first person, so this helps with that. I did have to get used to it, but it didn't take me very long at all.

I am defiantly a fan for sure, and will continue with this series, and I am so happy to see that the next several books are already out, yay, as I hate waiting on books, lol

I did not even read any summary's or anything on the next books. I wanted to write this review first, then I will buy the next one as soon as I am able
.
I also loved the cover, and I am big on covers, if its poorly done, or doesn't match what you read (you know, wrong hair color, stuff like that) then I do not usually even pick them up to read. Most books I read, first attract me to them by the cover. Yes, I know is should not judge the book by the cover, but I just can't help it.

Can't wait to read Demon Slave, Demon Retribution, and Demon Untamed.

I highly recommend this book to adults due to the mature content.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

I received this book from the author for my honest review.

When I start a new series by a new author I'm a little apprehensive. Will I understand the story line? Will I like the new "world"? Before the end of this book I had my answers. Ms Fay does a wonderful job of building this new "world" and getting the story line and "arcs" set in place. She was able to do this and still provide a great story for Analia and Sebastian. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

I love this book. The few errors that were in it were not distracting to me, perhaps this is a later edition or has been edited by the author. I enjoyed the love between Bastian and Anya. The fights were real and the parts about Marik and Anya's past were heart breaking.
This is not what you would think by the name, Demon Possession gives an entirely different meaning that what the story was about, there is no possession as we understand the words.
It is a fantasy that takes place in space. I completely enjoyed it, but to be honest I will probably not buy the rest of the series as they are priced too high for an e-book, more the price of an actually printed book, it is a shame really as I would like to see how the story ends.

First let me start of by saying how much this book exceeding my expectations! From the blurb I knew it sounded interesting and right up my alley but I was shocked to find myself up at 4 and 5am reading because I honestly just could not put it down. I read at work, I read at home, I read on the bus to school, I was so consumed with this book I couldn't focus on anything else until I finished. From the very beginning my heart went out to Anya. I instantly wanted to help protect her as if she was a real person and not a fictional character. The relationships that she developed with not only Sebastian but Sonya and Cale and Marik and the rest of the crew were so genuine and so relatable. I loved watching their stories unfold and at times had to fight back my own emotions. You know that gut wrenching feeling that you can have when something happens in a book or a movie and you want to yell out "No" and help them fight the bad guys? Well I had the gut wrenching, pit in my stomach feeling over and over. This book made me physically feel something and for that I applaud the author. Demon Possession was riveting and unlike anything I have read as of late. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this story and I highly recommend this book to not only paranormal fans but to anyone who enjoys exceptional world-building with an amazing love story! Demon Possession does not disappoint!

Book 1 in the Shadow Quest series is fabulous. From the very start, where we meet Analia, I was drawn in to the story and was engrossed to the end. I loved Bastian and the clear adoration that he had for Anya.

The story was complex but extremely entertaining, with twists throughout that I didn't see coming. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

I love a good sci-fi story with a solid romance and am happy to have discovered this series.

Analia and Sebastian are brought together when she is on the run. He offers her a chance at freedom and so much more. He is part of a demon race and has quite the temper. They really have a strong connection and I love that the author develops a real relationship between them. The characters are really enjoyable and I got lost in the story. I am excited to read more of the series.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I hate it when perspectives change but there's no break in the text. Not even a few skipped lines. It's jarring and unnecessary. I don't know why authors do that. Next, why does it seem like the book stopped being edited after 60% was done? Wrong words, misspellings, tense confusion. Things that were absent in the first half of the book suddenly appear in the second. Bizarre. Lastly, the final confrontation between Anya and Sebastian felt incredibly contrived just get him to overcome something in his past.

I complain about all this, but it doesn't mean I didn't like the story or that it wasn't well written. This is more just constructive criticism. Plus, DEMONS. ARE. SEXY.

Kiersten Fay's Demon Possession was a FANTASTIC read! Don't worry if you're not a big Sci-fi reader like me because this book will draw you in from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and the story line is wonderful! The chemistry between Analia and Sebastian is undeniably sexy. I couldn't put this book down and when I had to go to work all I could think about is how I couldn't wait to come home and finish it. Fay's detailed description of the events and characters within the story sucks you into her world of fantasy, romance and adventure. Her writing is sexy and witty to say the least. She does a wonderful job teasing the reader with steamy tid bits here and there within the story. Her characters are extremely likeable and the dialogue between them is extremely funny. Fay also does a fantastic job conveying the different levels of relationships between Sebastian and Analia and Sebastian and his sister Sonya, his brother Cale and his friend Marik. Kiersten Fay's world within her book Demon Possession is interesting and surprisingly easy to read. Get possessed and pick up your copy of Demon Possession it's absolutely worth the read! Kiersten Fay is one of my new favorite writers. I can't wait for book #2, Demon Slave's debut.

I didn't have high hopes when I started this book, I thought I was going to have a cheesy plot with predictable insta-love. Wow, I was surprised. This was the first sci-fi romance that had a really good story to it and I will be continuing the story. This has a great overall plot and the secondary characters were really great.

Do you enjoy space travel, different cultures, and finding your soul mate? This is the book for you. Sebastian and Anya are from different cultures and have had different experiences. They find they are drawn to each other and can't understand the strong pull. Sonya, Calic, and Marek see the connection and are all for the relationship growing. I can't wait for the next installment and whose story will be told next!

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest, unbiased review.

Poor editing, tons of errors. Also, I don’t get how the author chose the species for the H. Aren’t demons supposed to be associated with the underworld...as in Hell? The book is slow and with all the errors and the strange character profiles, I find it difficult to continue with it. I hope she uses an editor for the rest of the series because she clearly didn’t use one here.

This a story of Analia who was held captain on a ship since she was a child. Analia was able to finally escape and was able to sneak on the Marada a merchant ship owned and piloted by a demon named Sebastian. There are some steamy sex scenes and a great story. I couldn't wait to find out what happens next. You get to fall in love with all the characters in the book and think of them as family. You want to find out more about them. I can't wait until I read the next one.
You won't be disappointed in this book. It leaves you wanting more of the next chapter of their lives.

This is the first time I have read Kiersten and I'm so happy I did!! What an awesome story! Very intriguing I found it hard to put it down. I love that it's sci-fi romance with the suspense component as well.

Anya has been a prisoner/slave the majority of her life she finally finds her chance to escape and stored away on a merchant ship. Darius is a demon who has suffered betrayal in life and finds it hard to trust.

The concept really grabbed me on this one, I was excited to see how a woman of unknown origins would fare as a stowaway aboard a spaceship ran by demons. It was a little slow at points, a lot of time spent in the characters minds. You have Analia a woman held captive from a very young age so everything held wonder for her and she had to process all of these things. It was like a child going from 0 to grown in the blink of a voyage. The characters were great they were interesting and added to the story tremendously. I am looking forward to reading about Analia's sisters who are also lost but I am assuming have not led such a confined life by the way the book ended.

So I would give this series a try. We met the heroes already and they are swoon worthy.

I quite enjoyed this first in series. The pace and style are reminiscent of a favourite author of mine and the comparison is very pleasant, I am keen to read the rest in the series. I like the interaction between the characters and the consistency of the characterisations. This writer is talented enough to transport me to another galaxy and take a ride on this ship.

I find the spelling mistakes irritating but they do not occur often enough to stop me reading.

I loved this book! I could not put it down. I kept reading it until after midnight when I finished it. Very well written. It's a sexy, hot, and sensual story with action and adventure. Amelia had been a prisoner and slave for what she can remember of her life. She escapes and meets the captain of the ship Marada. Little does she know her history and her future are about to collide. I can't wait to read the next on I the series!!! I highly recommend this book!!

Demon Possession is a book full of sci-fi action, fun character interaction, sexual tension and a couple of heart-wrenching scenes.

The heroine, Analia, starts off as an almost broken female. The conditions she had to endure were horrendous and the author made me feel sympathetic to her plight.

The sexual tension and eventually sex between Analia and Sebastian is good stuff. :-)

I really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book as much as the primary characters and look forward to some of them finding their Happily-Ever-Afters in future installments.

I recommend Demon Possession to lovers of demon romances and sci-fi. It's well written, interesting, creative, fun and sexy.

I loved this book, the plot, the worlds, and the characters. Totally believable story-line. Characters that felt real and didn't act like idiots or annoy. I picked up this book and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. I downloaded it when it was free over the weekend and actually plan on purchasing the others in the series, something I almost never do.

I want to address the review with 3 stars. The major complaint seems to be about editing issues. Bad editing always bothers me and I didn't pick up on any in this book. The author did use some words that I wasn't familiar with and actually had to look up. IMO that was a bonus! I think most of the editing issues must have been corrected, just an FYI.

It's a love story, but not Cinderella's kind of love story. A slave escapes to a demon ship, learns how to fight, laugh, make friends, and love only to be recaptured and abused again. A demon finds the stowaway, mistrust, confusion, happiness, and love finds him only to be ripped away. Can a demon and a slave (who really is a princess) find a way to be together forever?

This book is pretty respectable, felt pretty natural. I'm not a huge fan of *real* Sci-Fi stuff, and I read this for the love story, primarily. So I could only roll my eyes at a few parts where Fay laid it on pretty thick. That, however, is a personal preference.

I really like Marik. I can't wait to read about him!
I like Cale - his distrust was consistent and believable.
I really, really like Sebastian.
I occasionally really like Analia.

And, as I said, the development felt largely natural. I think I'll probably (maybe) be re-reading this.

*Also, I agree: this book desperately could use a proofreader.

I received this book as a gift and finished it in 2 days of solid reading. Story line draws you in quickly and keeps you guessing as new aspects are added. The 3 chapter preview was enough for me to immediately purchase book 2. I have finished it and just bought book 3 in the 4 book series. Each book has its own story line interwoven with the overall epic. I can't wait to read the next 2 books, but don't want the story to end. I loved this well thought out sci-fi action, drama, romance. The author wrote her so well that I really cared what happened to the heroine Analia.
Sebastian was just right as the tough guy honorable hero who couldn't stop himself from falling in love with her even though he tried.
The secondary characters brought so much into the story that they deserve their own books in the series. Their interaction was great.
The mystery of Analia had me reading into the wee hours of the morning.

I would recommend this book for anyone who has enjoyed a fated love story that is well wrtten and includes some paranormal elements. I only have one complaint, although it wasnt enough to deduct from a five star review. I thought Analia should have had more PTSD . It seemed she adjusted too quickly.
