I didn't realize E.B. White wrote all three of these wonderful books. I read The Trumpet of the Swan when I was a little girl, and now I'm reading it again with my little girl. It's as good as I remember.

As the description stated, this was not a brand new set, but I couldn't be more thrilled. The box had a couple scuffs and dented corners but the books themselves are in wonderful condition. The pages have some yellowing but the bindings feel as if the books have never been opened. The book jackets looked great too, again, it's like no one ever actually read these books in this set. Very very happy as they are to be a gift for my niece's fifth birthday.

These are books that I read as a child, and wanted to pass on to my daughter. Paper quality isn't great, but what you can say, they're paperbacks. I probably should have purchased hardbacks. The Trumpet of the Swan is lesser known, but just as beautifully written.

My mother read them to me, I read them to my chidren and I bought these for my grandaughter. A much needed antidote to the tsunami of superficial, materialistic crap that inundates our lives. They're well written and illustrated and good stories.

I was thinking I was going to get noticeably used book that has wear and tear to it. These books came in great shape. The description said the margins were written in and the edges were worn and it wasn't. Great sale!

This set of 3 books comes with a storage sleeve. This storage sleeve arrived crushed. I'm not sure if it was crushed due to poor packaging or if it was crushed prior to shipping. Also, one of the books has some damage to one of the corners, as if someone had taken the books out, then clumsily put them back in, so that one corner got caught and damaged. I tried to find a way to contact the seller, but all that was available was a return option. As my daughter already saw the books, and they are usable, I don't need to return them, and frankly, it's too much hassle to return them anyway. I would return them if I had ordered them for a gift, as I would not want to give books in this condition to anyone as a gift. They were supposed to be new, and while they may never have been owned by anyone else, they did not arrive in what I would consider to be new condition. I will avoid this seller in future. I ordered another set of 3 books that came directly from the store. Those arrived without the issues that this E.B. White set has. This seller seems unprofessional, either sending out damaged items as "new" or handling/packaging poorly so that they arrive crushed.

My 6-year-old daughter and I throughly enjoyed all three stories.
Most Creative Story: The "Trumpet Swan" because of the way White takes the reader to different places and settings through the eyes of Louis the Swan.
Most Profound Story: "Charlotte's web". Of all my years of education it took this simple book to grasp a real appreciation of nature and the web of life.
Funniest Story: "Stuart Little". Most of us have on more than one occassion laughed ourselves to tears upon reading, hearing, or watching some funny event. My last time occurred when reading about the trials and tribulations that Stuart had to endure in order to wash himslef in the morning (Picturing him swinging a mallot to turn on the hot water was for me hysterically funny!). I found the Stuart Little of this book much more cute and amusing than the one in a recent movie with the same title.

These are amazing! I love the classics. Charlotte’s Web, The Incredibly Journey, and Henry Humming are my top three favorites to read my children. I love any book with the main characters as animals and that gives a message of hope.

E.B. White's book Charolette's Web is a wonderful childrens book as well as for adults. It is a great moral reading book for readers of all ages. This story is about two friends that are completely different but overcome the differences and become best friends. Charolette is a spider that lives in the corner of a barn where Wilbur the pig stays. Charolette is portrayed as a mother figure to Wilbur. Many people can related to this story. It is veryy conforting and has the happy ending that everyone loves. There is adventure and excitement through out the story. Children will find it humorous as well as interesting, whereas adults might see it as teaching a very good moral about life and the situations one is faced with everyday. E.B. White is a wonderful writer in the way that he is very discriptive through out the entirety of the book, which is great becuase you as the reader feel as though you are there in the barn with the characters. I enjoyed this book as a child and just recently reading it as an adult enjoyed just as much if not more because there are many meaningful things one can see now where as a child might not.

As a child Charlotte's Web was my very favorite book. I re-read it dozens of times and love it to this day. I still cry over the ending and find it so very beautiful how Charlotte and her spirit lives on. E.B. White paints such a vivid barnyard scene I still remember the smells and the sounds I imagined as a child. Simply put, I love this book. Today, as an adult, it is still an all-time favorite.

Stuart Little is a mouse that is about 2 inches tall. Stuart is part of the family of the Fredrick.C.Littles. He has a friendly but shy manner. He's very smart for a mouse but his size gives him trouble sometimes. His life is an adventure when he sets out on the age of seven,he trys to find his dearest friend,Margalo, a friendly little bird who stayed with the Littles in their Boston Fern.
Stuart Little is an interesting book. I enjoyed reading it beacause it was funny and it had interesting vocabulary. There were some sad parts in the book. This Book got me absorbed into it.
I would recommend this book for children of the ages of 8 to 12. If you like fantasy stories then you would love this book. If you are a person who likes certain kinds of fantasy books then you should probably enjoy Stuart Little because you may get absorbed into the book. Also if you like fantasy books that have animals in it that talk and you like the Author E.B.White then you'll like this book.

I read all three of these wonderful classics to my own children some 30 years ago and have now given them to my nieces to read to their children. They started with Charlotte's Web and have reported back to me that their children, who are 6 and 7, love the story and insist on "one more chapter Mommy, please...." every night. What better recommendation can I give you.

"Stuart Little" by E.B. White was full of adventure and humor. We found Stuart to be a very funny and believable character. We did, however, think it a bit strange that no one, except the policemen taking the missing person's report, found it strange that Stuart was only 2 inches high and looked like a mouse. We would definitely reccommend this book to anyone looking for a laugh or adventure.

"Charlotte's Web", one of the few books I've completely read as a child, still brings fond memories of the true meaning of friendship. This book taught mean how wide gap's and diffrences could be respectfully compromised and that no matter where you are in the world, you're never alone. Also, that life goes on, you're never lonely, just a bit wiser and fulfilled.
