Interesting book combining quantum science and science fiction that was a compelling and believable story. It keeps your attention and makes first contact an awesome experience. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Great science fiction book and easy to follow and understand. It is always hope that some day, all of part of it becomes reality, and we are able to reach the stars. Thank you for explaining what is real and what is fiction at the end of the book.

I really enjoyed the story. That is the great thing about writing, the author can make anything a reality. I wonder if you're able to change your mind when presented with evidence that conflicts with what you want the truth to be? Hope so.

There is a lot of discussion of quantum theory required to support and explain the action in the book. If you can survive (or embrace) that, the plot is engaging and entertaining. I really enjoyed the book, and I’m looking forward to Quantum Void.

I have several books of his already. He really goes the distance in terms of fiction; yet in a very believable way. Its amazing to see how fiction can be developed in a systematic and logical fashion.

Well researched from real science, then expanded to allow space compress, so kudos
I stopped half way thru to read another book and came back to finish. So not a book I couldn’t put down. That said, I still came back to finish.

Science-based, character-driven stories that read well are few and far between. Quantum Space is one of those. The beauty of this one is that it’s hard to find the line between known science and the science fiction developed by the author. They seamlessly merge together into one enjoyable whole. I’m really looking forward to the second installment in the series.

Well!!!! I have to say I found it very hard to put down this book once I started to read. I am looking forward to the next book. I have found a new interest and that is what is going on at CERN, of course there are many stories, however what you have laid out in the basic science I can understand is great, really great.. Thank You

Quantum mechanics and string theory is so bizarre that very little balonium needs to be added to "invent" any number of technologies. Mr. Phillips does a great job of staying in the realm of the plausible while telling an interesting story with likable characters.

I'd but this book in the realm of "technical scifi" The heavy dose of quantum physics dragged down the narrative until mid-book. Then came the big surprise!! This opened the book up for fast paced adventure. Great start for a new author.Looking forward to the next in the series.

Not just fascinating, but hugely educational for the average person like me. It feeds My Hope and many others hope that we are not alone in all of whatever this is. While it is a great story, I now feel like I at least know something about quantum physics. Who knew what was going on behind the scenes. incredible! Science fiction has been incredibly persistent and predicting future inventions. Am I sure hope this story is predicting a way that we can find and communicate with others in our universe. Thank you mr. Phillips

I've always loved science fiction, but even more so when the fiction part is sprung off of true scientific reality. Not only does it make it more believable, but more relevant as well. Got to go now to read the next installment - Quantum Void

I really dislike writing reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I've been fascinated with particle physics since high school and I appreciate the author sticking to the real science. And the afterword where he explains what was fiction was excellent.
I'll be reading more of Mr. Phillips' books for sure.

I LOVE science. That is as what I said with tears in my eyes when I finished this book.
Just a note: I read Brian Greene's "The Elegent Universe" on string theory about 6 months ago. It really helped with the first 5 chapters of this book. ( not a prerequisite). What an awesome story. I am so looking forward to Quantum Void. I was so glad to find a sifi story that didn't involve killing .

Astonishing story. Rooted in real science, yet goes far beyond in a believable way. Not enough superlatives in my language to favorably comment on this story. Isaac Asimov would have loved this story. I got goosebumps from reading it as the story nears a momentous ending.

If you enjoy the SciFi genre, but grow tired of tales that take place in the distant future, you need to check this out. This story could be going on this week, and part of next weeks headlines. While there are slight deviations from known science, they are subtle, and they are acknowledged, so the reader doesn't need to have a detailed understanding of particle physics to enjoy the work. Readers should be prepared to be more curious about the current state of discovery, in that arena, while they wait for the next installment.

My only negative is that I have to wait for Book 2....

If you aren't a fan of quantum theory before you read this book, you will be afterwards. The characters are well drawn and sympathetic. Even the villains think of themselves as heroes, which is as it should be. Douglas Phillips draws you into the story and compels you into turning the next page.

Phillips took a scientific subject that I knew nothing about and wove it into an excellent story. If this had been a movie I'd say it had me on the edge of my seat. It was fast paced, never boring and yet he made me care about the characters. At the end he explains what is fact and what is fiction and I really appreciated that. I can't wait for next installment.

I've been wanting to know more about quantum mechanics and the mysteries surrounding this fascinating yet mysterious branch of physics for a while. Science fiction may not seem like a good place to go for info on the real world, but reading about this intriguing science with the dramatic flair and creativity of the author as a guide helps foster a desire to know and read more about the very real science of the quantum world. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Loved this. The intelligence of the author comes through. I think Mr. Phillips has a little Daniel in him. The story is great, the science is believable (because some of its really real!) and it's fun. Such a good 1st book to find this author with and I can't wait to read and learn more!

If you don’t know what Fermi’s Paradox is you need to read the book. The entire book answers the question of why we have not be contacted by Aliens when mathmatically its’ almost certain we are not alone. The Science in SciFi is good. While there are a few curse words the book is safe for younger readers. The hero is intellectual with a hint of masculine and the heroines are both smart first and hot second. I’ll definitly read the second book.

The dimensions opened in quantum space are a new way to look at space travel, a radical departure from most space opera offerings. I found my traditional ideas stretched, and wrestled with the concepts Phillips painstakingly puts forth. The protagonists have an almost poetic underpinning that had me rooting for their success. I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Not sure where the glowing reviews are coming from on this book, probably faked by paid reviewers. Appears as though the author found some interesting material about the 4th dimension and particle accelerators, then wrote a terrible novel to shoehorn them into. You get what you pay for!

This is a great read. The author based the plot largely on actual science. Of course, he has to add some speculation, but the average reader will learn a lot of science while enjoying a very entertaining book. This is the finest work of science fiction that I have read in many years.

The story concept is fresh, the science is solid and brilliantly explained in interesting ways. The characters are somewhat under developed yet believable in the context of a fictional sci-fi. I was underwhelmed by some of the descriptive aspects, yet I was excited by every page.

A little disappointed that the author has chosen to perpetuate the myth that U.S law enforcement is inherently racist and therefore the U.S. is also. I'm especially partial to science fiction that has actual science in it. I also like science fiction that does not ignore the science facts that we do know. This book qualifies on both counts. Other reviewers are correct. It is the science that holds the story together, not the writing. In general I felt little for the characters, and what kept me reading was getting to the end to see how it wrapped up. Unsure whether I will pay to read more. Even at $3.99 on the Kindle, it seems like a stretch.

I found it to be a fun read. For a layman like myself, Mr. Phillips sets out the underlying science in easy to read and digest way. While other writers try and skirt the science in science fiction, the author takes his time to discuss it. He even distinguishes the fact from fiction in his "Afterward". I look forward to reading the next book.

I read hundreds of books a year. 2 or 3 a week. This is the first time I wrote a review. It was a pain in the ***. the store should let readers just click stars on a page attached to the end of the book, not open new sites. YOU get 5 stars. Loved the physics. Feel special cause I'm never writing another review. Great book.
