Kevin is an excellent storyteller. I couldn't put the book down. His experiences are raw and gut wrenching. There were parts where I actually laughed out loud when I should have been crying
Thank you for your service Kevin.

I honestly wish I had just read the book and not listened to this goofball read it to me. I honestly would get so frustrated with his voice inflection and lack of knowledge regarding the terms and lingo that I contemplated turning it off on more than one occasion. The publisher should really think about have a new narrator do this as the other hack job does no justice to such a heroic tale. It really is sad. He tries so hard yet fails miserably. A

Great book otherwise.

Thoroughly enjoyed the way Kevin put this together, eloquently describing the thrill, anxiety, passion, anger and sadness of this war. Well written and an enjoyable read. Knocked it out in two evenings. Thanks Kevin

Great book. Very well written. Gives the reader a perspective of what enlisted SEALS go through during combat, before, during and after.. This is one of those rare books you can not put down. You will read it from cover to cover.

Thank you. I will never be able to fully understand the team's sacrifices. That said, as someone living under the cloak that men like you provide for us that didn't serve, thanks for sharing your piece. I wish you and yours peace.

Should be required reading for generations to come, as some may never know what really takes place in war and how it affects our soldiers. We should All appreciate the sacrifices they have made for us!

This was an excellent read! I was disappointed when there were no more pages left to read. Let me also state that I have never picked up a book and read it in less than two days (at least by my choosing). This is a well written book that draws you in from the start providing vivid accounts of Kevin's experiences as a Teamguy. The emotion is real (you will experience nearly every emotion possible) and the perspective is refreshing - this is a must read for anyone who is willing to learn about what it means to be the ultimate badass and learn about what sacrifices are made through first-hand experiences to become and operate as a United States Navy Seal. There is so much more - do yourself a favor and pick up a copy to find out for yourself.

What a great read sounds like one awesome. Team player who never forgot his Brothers. Ty for the insight of what .I never had to do Carter was a pussy. And I can't say I would of lived up to what .To your standards when I joined the corp.i thought we were the baddest boys on the block than I seen these Crazy Dudes running with rubber rafts and working out with telephone poles . and really wasn't sure what I was seeing than we went out on the Tarawa for some training and years latter I found out who baddest boys on the block really are.so Ty for your sacrifice. And service. And a honest account of war

I wanted to like this book. But, honestly, it just became tiresome. Even the anecdotes about The Legend were not as cool as I hoped (“There was one time Kyle forgot to check the batteries on his scope....”, whatever dude).

I can't explain why but, I got the impression that this was just Kevin Lacx trying to "cash in" on the interest in Navy SEALs. I have read a lot books on our special forces. This one just did nothing for me. It seemed self serving.

Absolute great story from a BTF. An honest view from a frogman in the mix working with the "Legend" and other SEAL heroes. Marc Lee,Ryan Job and MOH Winner Michael Monsoor. You're book was outstanding it was an honest first person look at the dangers faced and relationships built in Task Force Bruise. Excellent read.

While this is a historical account of actual incidents that took place during the US's years of direct involvement in Iraq ... it reads like a suspense thriller. If you enjoy action and eyewitness accounts of the modern fighting techniques, and day-to-day activity of America's most prominent fighting forces, this book is definitely for you. The writing is excellent and pulls you right into the actual environment this action took place within. It is similar to Chris Kyle's books, yet completely unique in its own right.
