Super frustrated because the distribution says it comes with the COGLAB which I need for my class. We are poor enough and strapped for time already being in college. The last thing we need is "trusted" sites like this taking advantage of us. Make the description clearer. I will be returning this.

Had to buy this textbook for a class. For >$100, I paid to open this book, realize the content ranged from trivial to subjective, and then leave it on my shelf until I was ready to sell it back to the store at a loss.

If you have to use this series, buy the Coglab exercise booklet and account separately, and just forget the text. You don't need it.

I rented this book as part of my online course that I am taking in my college on my Kindle because it seems to be so much cheaper than buying it. After a month of renting it, I tried to access the CogLabs online but could not find the registration code in the book on the kindle. So I called kindle customer service who informed me that the rented version does not come with the access code to Coglabs!!!! and thats 3 days before I suppose to do the labs as part of my homework!!! I am very upset because this information was not provided to me BEFORE renting this book!!! SHAME ON YOU KINDLE AND the store!!!!

It did not come with the coglab info which is the only reason I ordered it new. It is beatup and has a strange sticky substance on it as well. I purchased it new instead of getting a cheaper version used just so I could get the coglab and it didnt come with it! I am very angry!

To be completely honest the only reason I bought this book was because it was required for one of my classes. Overall though the book is a fairly easy read with lots of demonstrations throughout. In the center of the book there are also several color "plates" as they call them, that are refered to during the reading. This book also comes with a Coglab manual. If you are not taking a class that requires the manual, then I would look for just the text book. To use the online part you need a special code from a school to access it. The Coglabs are fun though and a vaild learning experience that teach you a lot about yourself. This book is a far easier read than a lot of textbooks I have had to read. If you are interested in the subject of Congnitive Psychology then I would recommend this book as an introduction.

Publisher does not allow access to online version, so you can't 'be a subject' in the famous tests, unless your Professor arranges it. I don't want to be the student that says 'Hey, Professor. Can you give us more work to do?' But, I want the access that I bought and paid for!
I asked Publisher if they would set up a 'dummy class' for me. They can shut down access at the end of the semester, if they don't want me to sell the access code. They wouldn't do it.
Told them it was a bad business decision since I will never buy the current version of their textbooks. From now on, I'll buy the older version and they won't make any profit.
I have no complaint with the store. They gave me what I paid for. The publisher didn't. They stole $40 or $50 dollars from me.
Don't buy the Online version unless you know your Professor allows you to use it.

Goldstein does a great job sharing examples, case studies, and using illustrations. This book has pictures on almost every page to help clarify studies and concepts. The writing is clear and easily understood. There are chapter summaries and questions to consider. I have been very impressed.
