I gave it three stars because it was good. I liked the storyline. I likened that there were a few surprises and twist. There should have been more. After all the characters were introduced I thought the story could have had more action

The premise for the story is a bit far-fetched. I liked the characters, but the story jumped around a lot and was at times hard to follow. I did read to the end just to see how it ended. It is hard to review without spoiling the end of the book completely.

Probably one of the worst books I've ever FINISHED reading.. Yawned with every turn of the page . Liked the basic story line, but the author didn't pull through . I could go in and on, but I won't because the aurhor of the book already did.
Deceived :: A Deadly Distance (Jack Noble #2) :: Explanations that Transform The World (Penguin Press Science) :: The New New Thing: A Silicon Valley Story :: Shadows of the Stone Benders (The Anlon Cully Chronicles Book 1)

There was so much that occurred that added nothing to the story and so much left out that could have formed a much more developed story. The fact that one of the characters can somehow become so murderous just because.... why??? She just decided she liked the power of it. Dumb and unbelievable.

Interesting concept. Although right now I'm looking for an "epic" novel, this one could have been it if the 19th century characters had been developed. Great beginning. Grabs the reader right off. Recommend for a good light adventure.

I don't generally like historicals, but I do love mysteries. This one was recommended and I was hooked from the first chapter. I couldn't wait to see what happened next - it was never anything I expected, either. I'm usually good at figuring out where things are going, but there were some unexpected surprises. Overall, it was a great read and I would recommend it if you like mysteries. And plot twists :)

I thought the premise of the story and the story telling was original plus captivating. The way the characters were interwoven by similar changes in their life stories clearly defines this as more than just a mystery as it leaves one rwondering of what our own choices might have been. The only part I have a robem with is the epilogue. I have many questions about the choice to distribute the drug in that matter. I can't wait to read the sequel.

I loved the story. It was easy to read. It wasn't hard to keep up with the character s. I did not have to go back and reread to remember if I couldn't pick up for a few days. The plot wasn't ridiculous or absurd. It kept my interest and moved quickly without losing momentum. Thank you.

I stopped reading midway because the plot was not believable and the characters acted in ways that seemed unlikely. The bones of something interesting may there, but it needs so much more work to be a successful book.

4.5/ 5 stars..I love the concept that descendants meet their ancestors eventually after a treasure hunt of keys! An amazing concept that makes you think what do pharmaceuticals keep from the public and what is being made now to advance life. It will be fun to read a followup story.

Fast paced drama mixed with suspense, a small romance, a bit of fountain of youth and a vivid imagination of events you can believe could happen. Definitely kept my attentio. Looking forward to more from this author.

I love to read a lot and am really happy to find I have found a good book with such a great story and characters. It kept me pushing to read more with the different story slant and strange ending. I highly recommend it.

Good ideas and character development but the plot and story line were a bit disjointed. Characters acted randomly and there were some glaring gaps in motivation. Overall a fair read but the author should take more time in weaving a cohesive and believable story line

I really enjoyed reading this book because it gave me a lot to think about on the eugenics movement. A good story that left me with a sense of loss and a feeling of hope. Looking forward to the sequel.

I enjoyed the story line in this book. It was quite griping in parts and I had to keep reading. The relationship between the characters, although a little strange at times, was interesting and enjoyable.

This story was drawn out and very boring. I found this book in the science fiction\fantasy section and it was neither. This is the story of four random Normal people who all get a call about a family key from a 100 years ago to open a safe that was found in a court house. Simple. They all happen to find their keys rather quickly became they are apparently the only people in their families. Once the open the safe, things go from boring to ridiculous. I won't spoil the "fun" for any other readers, but don't get to excited let me warn you. I am glad it was free but I feel like I wasted hours I will never get back reading it. Oh but the title of the book and the cover art where very nice.

What an exciting book filled with unexpected twists and connections! Read it in 2 days because I couldn't put it down! I loved how the characters and plot are so lovingly woven together! Can't wait to read another book by this author! Hope she's working on her next book as I write!

I have to be honest I got very close to the end of this book and didn't finish it. It's written well and professionally but the storyline is depressing and boring. Either nothing is happening at all or bad things are happening. It made me feel uncomfortable and kind of anxious to read it. That's not typical of me. I just would rather put it down and not bother.
