I could not put this book down. The more I read, the more I wanted. Stella Barcelona is a marvelous writer. Have also read the 3 book series which I couldn't put down. Will be waiting for her next book. Loved them all.

This was a fabulous debut novel that kept me turning the pages almost non-stop. It has mystery, suspense and romance with in depth characters. I fully recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Though the romance ending was a bit predictable, the mystery was well crafted. Good use of scene placements in the NOLA area. Speaking as a former resident, some things really are "only in Louisiana". Liked it enough to read more by the author.

Stella Barcelona is a new author for me, and I dived into Deceived not knowing what to expect. Characters are well defined and I love sexiness in my books, so this covered every base from great characters, to an awesome woman character (no wimpiness here!), a man who is pulled in many directions at once, romance and suspense...this was a great intro to this author.

It is hard to believe this is the author's first novel. This story is romance, action and mystery all rolled into one. It has a good plot and some interesting twists. I look forward to more novels from Ms. Barcelona.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It had everything a great book needs. History, mystery, drama and a wonderful lives story between truly likeable people. Do yourself a favor and grab this today, then settle in for a terrific ride.

Her characters are people we all could know. Fast paced, suspenseful, fun, and tasteful romantic scenes. Have already read her last two books. Didn’t disappoint at all. Will be hard to wait for the next book.

This book was right up my alley! I love romantic suspense. I did not want to put it down once I started. I loved the way she tied history into it also. The characters were very well done. It is definitely something I would recommend to my friends and family. Can't wait to see more from her in the future.

I'll be hones in saying I wasn't sure if this book was for me. I was sucked in right away! I read at least one book a week. This is by far the best book I have read this year (it is September). Fast paced, thrilling, romantic, perfect. I highly recommend this book!

Stella Barcelona nails the New Orleans "scene" as accurately as I've seen since moving to New Orleans over 30 years ago. Workplace "friends with benefits" isn't at all unusual in NOLA regardless of differences in ages. Family wealth, names and statuses absolutely influence (and often control) the behavior of the most prominent families in our town.

Deceived is excellent! Great book!

This book was mesmerizing from the first chapter. I could not put it down. I loved the way the author wound history into the modern day world. The romance as exciting as the intrigue. I will definitely be looking for more works by Stella Barcelona.

This was an entertaining read. I thought it had an excellent plot, good characters, and exciting action along with some romance for spice. The writer developed the characters in a way that made you care for them.

This book was amazing! I read it in one night - once I started I couldn't put it down. Not only did I immediately fall in love with the characters but I learned a bit of history that was downright fascinating!

Very well written story with all the hits you want in romantic suspense. Twisted killer, good plot and interesting characters. Emotion, heat and laughter with Hero and Heroine. Look forward to more from this author.

This was a very well thought out and extremely well written book. The characters were like able and seemed real. The story had layers and was complex. Definitely recommend! Can't wait for the next book, hopefully about Sebastian!!

Great reading anytime...Day or Night. Totally enjoyed all of the characters and felt familiar with the setting (lived in NOLA all of my life) the community is fortunate indeed to have your talent. Totally recommended, and when is the next??? Hurry....MMB
