‘Daughters of the Bride’ is the latest book by Susan Mallery. The book focuses on three siblings, Rachel, Sienna, and Courtney as they plan and deal with their mother’s upcoming nuptials. Each sibling is at a different stage in her life and dealing with issues that stem from the death of their father when they were young.
I thought the book was well written. The characters seemed real and the issues they were dealing with felt relatable.
I did feel that their mother never completely acknowledged the affect she had on her daughters growing up, and how that played into the issues they all were dealing with as adults (the mom had to work after the dad passed away and subsequently, didn’t have much time for her daughters and/or placed a lot of responsibility on them when they were young).
Overall, the book was an enjoyable read.

Daughters of the Bride is much more than a wedding story.
We have three sisters, Courtney, Rachel and Sienna. Plus, the bride to be Maggie their mom. Courtney’s story is more of a learning to love and being ok with who she is and “standing tall”. Rachel’s story involves her learning to forgive and give a 2nd chance to her ex-husband. Sienna is the “pretty face” she can a bit self-observed but she learns what is most important to her. I found mom, Maggie to be the least interesting character and least liked. She is immature and very self-observed. At times I kept waiting for the one of the sisters to tell her enough! Over all this story is about three sisters that are dealing with their own issues along with the family dramatics.
The men in the women’s lives also bring a nice balance to the story and the planning of the wedding was fun! But warning if you are not a fan of pink you will be by the end of the story. Over all the story was entertaining and fun!

When I pick up a Susan Mallery book, I expect a wonderful story. She definitely delivers with Daughter's of the Bride!
Rachel, Sienna, and Courtney are all helping to plan their mother, Maggie's, wedding while also dealing with their own romantic issues.
This is a well written story that allows us to see inside three very distinct emotional situations that also weave together to tell a family story as well. We spend fairly equal amount of time with each of the sisters and get to know their stories, but it's not a deep dive.
There is enough information to feel like you know the characters, but there is still an element of "I want more" at the end of the day. With elements of familial love, romance, and forgiveness this is a wonderful tale to please any romantic at heart.

I loved all the family dynamics in this story. The three very different sisters and their very different lives. A mother who's life is going through a big change after many years of being a widow and single mother. The way they tried to remain close and involved in each other's lives, even when it was hard. And the way the planning and execution of a wedding brought out details they didn't know about themselves or each other. It was a sweet and satisfying story that further solidified my love of Susan Mallery books.

I enjoyed Daughters of the Bride so much. The three daughters were in their own rights strong women. I saw a little of myself in each character, which is Susan Mallery’s strength in her writing. There is always something in AT LEAST one character in all of her books that I can relate to. And her use of humor makes the book more fun…..and also allows me to laugh at myself when some of the same things happen in my life. If you enjoyed the Mischief Bay books and the Blackberry Island books by Susan then you will REALLY enjoy this one! The stress of planning a wedding…..for their mother!....is the backdrop of this story. I really enjoyed seeing the relationships between the three sisters change and grow throughout the planning process and how in the end, family is the most important thing.

A great story about three daughters getting ready for their mother's wedding. In the process each of these women will learn and come to terms with issues that they all have been avoiding.
Rachel will discover how the death of her father and being the oldest patterned how she deals with feeling the need to do everything without having to rely on others.
Sienna will learn why she keeps ending engagements and why she finds it hard to commit to a relationship.
Courtney will learn how her difficulties as a child affects how she relates to her family as an adult.
Maggie will realize how her decisions played a part in how her daughters each handle relationships.

This is a wonderful story about a mother and her three daughters. It's a story about loss, regrets, deception, redemption, forgiveness, love and friends and family. It's a story about finding your true self and what really makes you happy.
Mother, Maggie, and her 3 grown daughters, Rachel, Sienna and Courtney, run through a wide range of emotions and situations while planning Maggie's wedding. It all makes up this heartwarming beautiful book that is sure to have you rooting for the Watson women.

I adored Courtney, her awkward often inept characteristics endeared her to this reader. I would find myself peeking ahead several pages to see when her character would reappear. A tale of family, love and life Daughters of the Bride tells the story of 3 daughters and their mother as they prepare for Mom's wedding. Each of these women have emotional scars in the aftermath of the early death of their father/husband and this story shows how they start to heal those scars as they deal with second chances and first love. Each woman has part of the story line but Courtney's story seemed to pop out more to me. As close as the family is I was surprised she was able to keep her secret. I felt bad for her when Joyce spilled the beans and I loved how Quinn interacted with her. If you feel a story has a bad guy it would have to be David, he just annoyed me (as did his mother). I like to read a lot but not every story leaves me with a happy, contented feeling by the ending-this book did.

Another cute romance from Susan Mallery. Great summer read. Enjoyable. Interesting that it is written with 3 sisters that were not that close. Each getting their own portion of the story line along with their mother. Maggie has found love after more than 20 years being a widow and wants a wedding with all her girls in attendance. Who wouldnt want to try to get the girls to be closer and all live happily ever after. Trying to balance the stories of all four characters proves difficult and might have been better told in a triology. This was a lot to tackle for one romance novel and it ended up with a little bit too hurried of a conclusion for a stand alone. Still love the wit and heartfelt stories from Susan Mallery, she is an author on my auto buy list.

Daughters of the Bride is meant to be a classic. With each novel I read I fall deeper in love with Ms. Mallery's characters and her narrative style. She not only imparts sage advice, but creates stories that are a joy to experience. Daughters of the Bride is a story told with tenderness and nostalgia about the bonds of family. Devotion and understanding are essential to the dynamic of family BUT learning how to love enough to let go is one of the most important decisions a person can make.
With the help of surrogate mother Joyce, Sienna, Courtney and Rachel through self-examination discover the strength of love, forgiveness and healing. With a little bit of romance and a great deal of heart Susan Mallery has created an emotional masterpiece.

The book follows three sisters as they work on their romantic relationships as well as their family ones. I love how Mallery is able to accurately depict the complex family relationship dynamics. I have three sisters so I can relate to how some sisters have a more significant bond than others. Susan Mallery does a great job of writing both points of view in arguments so that the reader can see why each character acts the way they do. I found myself understanding and even siding with people I normally wouldn't have identified with.
Mallery is most known for her Fool's Gold books which always have a sunny feel to them. Daughters of the Bride has a much more realistic partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms kind of book. When you get to the end you might not see the world as a nice happy place but you will feel like you worked through something and are ready to face whatever obstacles life throws at you.

Los Lobos just might be my new favorite fictional town, after Fool's Gold! I really enjoyed this book--the characters, the setting, the whole package. The relationships between the three sisters felt very authentic. I have 5 sisters myself, and in my opinion, Ms. Mallery captured the dynamic of the various personalities and how they play off each other very well. The various romantic attachments of the sisters were all interesting, and totally sucked me in! I was rooting for each of the sisters, and racing through the pages, wanting to know how it all played out. I'm hoping that this isn't the last we'll see of Los Lobos!

This is a very good read. Excellent Women's Fiction about a widowed, young mother, with no marketable skills, raising a 6, 4, and 2 year-old daughters while trying to keep her husband's business afloat. Through the year's the business has once again flourished, and Mom is now remarrying. Each of the daughters has issues with their mother which arises during the planning of the wedding. There are some rough times, but everything is resolved before the wedding, plus some romance on the side.
I enjoyed the interaction between the sisters and with their mother I would enjoy having another book about Rachel and Sienna. there is potential in their happy endings.
Susan Mallery is excellent at writing Women's Fiction and Romance. Her characters breathe and you can relate to them. Keep up the good work Susan.

I loved it! Susan Mallery is such a great author. This story is about Maggie's upcoming wedding and Maggie's 3 daughters, Courtney, Sienna and Rachel. Each of them are battling something in their lives that really all started from when their father passed away when they were all children. Each daughter faces a situation where love or braveness has to be learned by each girl in their own way.Courtney is afraid to love, she believes love hurts. Sienna is afraid to fully commit. Rachel and her husband divorced cause they didn't understand each other in the past. Once they face their fear, they really start to live. Really a great read. Reminds me of her writing like she does in the Fools Gold series!

The Circus of we call our lives! This book has a lot going on! Each daughter seems to be hiding something from the family. But why not. Family can get nosy; especially living in the same city. Courtney was sleeping with a much older hottie and is way more grown up then her family knows. I am tickled Rachel was able to act on her instincts about the real motives of her current beau. It took a lot for Rachel to trust her ex, Greg, again and even more courage to let him into her heart again. Who knew the bride who struggled for years to find security after her deceased husband left her destitute had found a husband that was a rich man and they were set for life. These are a few of their favorite sins!

This is a women’s fiction book rather than the usual romance books (Fool’s Gold) from the author. Rachel and Greg are divorced. Only they still love each other. Rachel’s story was uncomfortable. I loved Quinn and Courtney. No drama between them, just fun banter and a growing love. Courtney’s mean girl moment made me laugh out loud. Out of the three men for the daughters, we only heard from Quinn’s point of view. I think that and their characters made their story the best one. For Sienna, I thought she should have stepped up and talked with her fiancé right from the beginning. The best for Sienna was on the last page when I got a true awww moment. It gave me all the feels.

Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery was a delightful read. From the first paragraph you are drawn in and guaranteed a great story.
Susan knows how to begin a great story. This is a stand alone story and I always love stories like that. But for me, to only give it 4 stars the ending, without giving away spoilers, is a little to much of a "cliffhanger". I would have loved an epilogue, but this way, Susan keeps her options open, and she can easily make this into a series, or just write a second book.
Don't get me wrong. I really liked the story she was telling here, and it's a good one. I enjoyed it very much. From all the drama to the great event being planned. It was a treat to read this book.

I will be honest, I am a pretty selfish reader when it comes to Susan Mallery books. I am basically a resident in Fool's Gold, so I was definitely a little hesitant when I found out this was her next book. I have to say, I was BEYOND pleasantly surprised with this book! I don't have any sisters, so it was nice to get some insight into the relationship of three very different sisters. They all have been through a lot in their lives, and it was great reading their stories and see if they were finally willing to let themselves be happy and get what they want.
This was a fantastic read by Susan, and I am so happy I had the chance to read this one! Perfect summer beach read. Definitely enjoyed every minute of it!

Another winner from this author and will go down as one of her best! It starts off kind of slow but once you get about a third of the way through it there is no stopping. Mom is getting married! Since she didn't get to plan her first wedding she is going overboard this time and she has some crazy ideas. Would we expect anything less? We are also treated to getting to know the three sisters who are completely different and going through different phases in their lives. What a pleasure it was to meet this family and join in their fun and amazing time. Oh, and the recipes at the end of the book sound yummy and I cannot wait to try them!

Daughters of the Bride is the story of three daughters, Courtney, Sienna, and Rachel, as they prepare for their mothers upcoming wedding. As they help their mother prepare for the happiest day of her life, they are all dealing with their own romantic issues. Mallery's story telling is bright, smart and funny and you really feel like a member of the family. Will all four of the woman discover love and do what they need in order to hold on to it? This is one of Susan Mallery's best books yet, I couldn't put this one down and wanted to start over once I had finished. I highly recommend this book, a perfect beach read.

Another awesome book. Really liked it. Three daughters who have their own things in life going on while their mother is planning her wedding. That is really a hoot with the mom. Her daughter Courtney is planning the wedding. Sienna and Rachel the other two daughters are sort of helping. They all have their own issues. I was laughing at some of things that were coming up in the story. There are boyfriends, ex husband and new guy that are all in the mix. You will enjoy reading this book.. I would love to been a fly on the wall with some of the scenes that I pictured in this story. Keep up good work. Can't wait to read next book you write.

This wasn't a bad story. The 3 daughters have completely different personalities and I enjoyed getting to know all of them. They all seemed to share that they felt unworthy of certain things in life but watching them realize they count too was refreshing. Each one has a different relationship with their mother. Helping your mother with her wedding is stressful and when you really don't have a great relationship, to begin with, with your mother it makes it even more stressful.
Very good storyline, a little slow at times but otherwise it was an enjoyable read.

I loved this book! This is by far my favorite of any Susan Mallery book that I have read. I don't usually have a lot of patience with multi story line books, but Mallery has a real nack for getting them right. The relationships between the sisters and between the mother and each daughter was well explained and became stronger throughout the book. Each sister goes through a personal transition or transformation, which is helped along by her sisters and mother. It was predictable, but then so is every romance novel, which is what we love about them, the guarenteed happy ending. This book was very well written, making it well worth the wait!

I stopped reading this, but then decided to go back & finish. I was having a hard time connecting with any of the 3 sisters or the mother in this story about a mother remarrying 20 years after her first husband, the father of her daughters died. There were 3 separate romances, or makings of romance for the sisters, and I did end up liking the story. I am used to a little more spice in Susan's books, but this was a women's fiction rather than straight romance. It just didn't seem like her writing, to me. I am glad I did go back & finish it, though.

Three sisters , all with different relationships with their mother and themselves, leading three very different paths. I started out favoring one , the youngest, but found I liked them all in different ways toward the end. As Susan has the knack of doing she has written three characters which all readers can relate to in some way or another. Like the elephant in Fools Gold I think the Bees add a nice sense of humor to the story....you have to read it to find out about the Bees ....and Courtney , Rachel and Sienna of course!!

This is my second Susan Mallery book in which it is not one but three heroine. The Watson sisters Rachel, Sienna and Courtney are getting prepared to see their mother Maggie walk down the isle after being a widow from their father for twenty four years. Rachel a divorcee is still not over her ex Greg who seemed to be interested in coming back into her life. Sienna is on her third engagement and still not sure if David is the one. Courtney the black sheep of the family is a maid for a living but unbeknownst to her family is getting her bachelors while working for Joyce hotel the woman who took in the girls and their mother when they lost their home when they were children. The storyline goes back and forth between the three sisters and their mother and Joyce the hotelier and Quinn her nephew who comes back into town and who starts seeing Courtney. I love the development of the characters dealing with their imperfection issues and working it through with themselves and with one another. This book is about second chances e.g. Maggie finding love again after two decades Rachel wanting to forgive her husband for his one indiscretion and letting go of some of the control she has around her life. Sienna finding her true self and who really love her and Courtney not running away from love and feeling worthy being love. A great addition to Ms. Mallery list of novels. I have long been a fan of Susan Mallery's. All of her books have some element that speaks to me and most involve families, whether it's the family you were born with or the family you make.
Daughters of the Bride was the best of both. A story of a very relatable family - after all, who hasn't felt like she disappointed her mother at some point - and the intertwined story of the friends who make the rest/best of the family.
Highly recommended as a book that will draw you in and keep you there, right in the heart of family.

The Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery is a wonderful tale. It's an intriguing look into love and family dynamics, and how each can change in the blink of an eye.
Rachel, Sienna and Courtney, while sisters, are about as different from one another as three women can be. Or so they think. Each has her own secret, and a reason she wants to keep it hidden. What'll happen when the truth is revealed? Will their family understand?
Read it for yourself and find out.

Wow!! Where to start, this is an amazing book. Maggie, finding love and getting married after more than 20 years as a widow - Rachel, the eldest daughter, still reeling from her failed marriage, wanting everything to be "perfect". Sienna, the middle daughter, is critical and questions everything (as middle children often tend to do). Courtney, the youngest, needing to prove herself, is great at keeping secrets (she is by far my personal favorite). As always, Susan does a wonderful job of bringing her characters to life, you feel as if they are friends. This is definitely a must read book!

A past fan of Susan Mallery's work, I was excited for her newest book. However, unlike many of her Fool's Gold series, I struggled to connect with most of the characters or become engaged with the world Mallery created. With multiple protagonists, it felt like there was a great deal of juggling going on to give each of them a fleshed out storyline. Perhaps breaking up the sisters so each got their own, standalone book would have allowed for the connectivity while still giving each their own due? For a great wedding centered Mallery read, I recommend her earlier book "Sister of the Bride" over this one.

Maggie, their mom, is full of interesting ideas for her dream wedding. I thoroughly enjoyed each sister’s individual story, my favorite was Courtney. I felt like I was a resident of Los Lobos Hotel almost being able to participate in their lives. A wonderful read I had a hard time putting down and then when it was over, felt like I should be able to call any of them up as they had become my friends!! Excellent, well told story!!

I have to admit when I first read the title of the book, I thought it would be about the sisters being upset that their mother mother was remarrying and they would plot to stop the wedding---I could not have been more wrong!!!
The story follow three sisters: Rachel, Sienna and Courtney, and what happens to them as they plan their mother Maggie’s wedding.
They all come together to make their mothers wedding a day to remember.
I really enjoyed this book and what like to see follow books on the lives of each sister.

I loved this story by Susan Mallery. I really related to tall and awkward daughter Courtney. I was six feet tall in the fifth grade and nicknamed Grace by my mother. So Courtney is a character that I'm going to remember - with affection - for a long time.
This is a story about a mother that's been widowed for 24 years and then finds true love. She has three grown daughters - Courtney, Rachel and Sienna - and she wants to have the wedding she dreamed about as a teenager.
I loved the wedding planning and learning the stories of all three daughters, each with their own trials but also their own joys too. I felt like I could be friends - close friends - with all three sisters. Each was described in detail and their stories were told with love.
There were a few men in the story I wouldn't mind knowing either, especially Courtney's love interest.
This was a fun read that also made me think and brought a few tears to my eyes too. It was exactly what I've come to expect from Susan Mallery's stories.

I really enjoyed this fun tale of sisters and their mother . Great family dynamics of how sisters and their mom learn about each other all over again. Secrets have been kept and are now being revealed. Lots of laughs and angst as their widow mother plans her wedding.

Maggie is getting married after being a widow for more than 20 years. When her husband died leaving her with nothing and three small daughters, she did what she had to do to keep a roof over their heads. But, that left her little time for her daughters. Her three daughters are very supportive of her new marriage, but have some old issues about their growing up years. Each one has a few secrets and now they will all have to deal with them. Loved each of the characters.

Graphic sex turned me off. Not the usual Susan Mallery book. Felt the last third of the book was rushed with trying to tie all of the sister's lives together. The bride to be drove me crazy with all of her unrealistic expectations, almost like a teenager's desires.. Mother was upset that the daughter had secrets but how about the mother not revealing the background of her groom to be. Was snowed in with nothing else to read, guess that is why I finished the book.

For those of us who have sisters, this book has the right notes on how sisters relate to each other. All the sisters, Courtney, Rachel, and Sienna, have scars from their childhood as a result of their father's death. You find yourself rooting for each girl to find her happy ending while Mom plans an out of this world wedding to a man who loves her madly.
This is a great book and I highly recommend it to those who love Susan Mallery or Robyn Carr.

Light and entertaining. You will enjoy this if you like stories where three sisters (or friends) come at things from three different perspectives. I enjoyed all the characters - each of the three sisters was very real, as was Maggie and her desire for a pink wedding. My only quibble was with the two graphic and to my mind unnecessary sex scenes. You know if you like Mallery so you know if you will like this- I read it in a gulp.

This is a stand alone novel. A great story about a widowed Mother and her 3 daughters. After 24 years their Mother is planning to remarry. It's to be the Wedding of her teenage dreams...Pink!! They think they know everything about each other. But, secrets are being kept and each daughter is having their own personal issues. Find out how these women open up to one another as they face their fears and form a new bond. With Love on their side, it's sure to be a happy ending! I don't want to give too much away in a lengthy review.
The relationship that this mother has with her 3 daughters is very believable and draws you in to rooting for them and being sad for them when they are struggling.
I did only give 4 stars instead of 5 though because I really wish Rachel and Sienna would have been mentioned in this book but then would have had a story of their own. I wanted more Courtney and Quinn and that could have only happened with Rachel and Sienna have their own stories later.

Daughters of the Bride introduces three women who help their widowed mother plan her wedding. The three sisters have strengths, weaknesses, confidence, sometimes, and doubts about their lives other times. It is a story which deals with the complicated relationships of siblings, families and friends. Throughout her story, Susan Mallery presents us with people we might know, characters who make us laugh, cry, want to yell at them for being foolish, some we might not like at first and those who we would like as our friends. Courtney, Sienna and Rachel are complex characters who lead us on their journey of discovery. And what a treat that is!

Wedding angst from the perspective of the three daughters of the bride. Susan Mallery weaves an intricate story of broken trust, childhood pain, and adult redemption. It's interesting to see how family dynamics affects the girl's personalities and how they view life. Families are crazy, and this one is no exception.
I give this 5 stars and highly recommend it. Susan is one of my all time favorites and I really enjoyed this book.

Two-thirds wonderful! With Susan Mallery as the author of Daughters of the Bride, it had to be a good book…and it was…but not great. Two of the daughters, Courtney and Rachel, had engaging stories and were delightful to read about. They could have been the only daughters in the story, and it would have been a great story. However, Sienna’s, the third daughter, story seemed to be missing something. I felt like I was missing some pages in the story. Overall, it is a good summer story worth reading.

I loved this book. Three sisters, one slightly bride zIlla, mom. Courtney works at the hotel where the wedding is to be held, she is in charge of the wedding, but mom doesn't know. Courtney doesn't think her mom cares for her. Rachel is in love with her ex husband, but won't admit it to herself, and Sienna is engaged yet again. Three totally different sisters, but they have each others back. It's a great love story and a wonderful book.

What can you say for a fun story that has it all, including a lot of love and a big dose of humor. Reading this book, one thought kept coming to mind - how I wish I had a sister to share things with like these sisters do. If you love weddings then you will really enjoy reading about Maggie and her wedding to Neil, along with her unusual wish list for how her wedding will be handled. A great fun read to get away from the everyday humdrum!

As always, Susan writes an excellent story. The only issue I had was that for the first time, this book dragged from the beginning to about a third into the book. Usually if I can't get through the the first chapter, I don't read a book. Because it was Susan's book I continued on and was glad I did!! Her characters always have such depth and Susan handles the emotional issues with such insight. That's why I love reading her books.

Well written book. Good easy read. The concept of the story was a good one. Everyone's issues were realistic. However I think there were too many story lines going on at once. I think a little more time could have been spent on Courtney and Rachel's stories. Sienna never really had a story in the book. Her story ended in the last chapter but it felt like the actually story was missing. I had a hard time liking the mother. I think she was selfish in her relationships with the adult daughters.

I really enjoyed this book and how it intertwined multiple people and their personal relationships throughout the book. I thought that Susan did a great job writing this and that it showed the realistic complexity of the individual relationships between a mother and her daughters and the sisters with each other. The book did start a little slow for me but it did not take long for me to be sucked into the story line. I was sad to turn to the last page but happy with how Susan finished the story.

Daughters of the Bride is a great book about three young women helping their mother prepare for her dream wedding. Each daughter has their own story about the men in their life and the book is more about them than the wedding. Another Susan Mallery book that I just loved. In daughters of the bride we have 3 sisters who all have something very real and difficult going on in their lives while trying to help their mom plan the best wedding ever. Each one of their struggles roots back to things that happened in their childhood. Having to grow up too soon and shoulder all the responsibility, to feeling abandoned, to feeling overlooked. I loved how the story ended for everyone!

Three daughters all have fear of relationships each for a different reason. Courtney the youngest feels love hurts so why try. Senna has been engaged 3 times not sure why they don't work. Fear again some insecurities from childhood. Rachel felt like she has to do everything for everyone. Throughout the story you watch all 3 girls grow and learn. Mom also does some growing and learning about her daughters

I couldn't put this book down! I love reading Susan Mallery's series because you can keep up with all the familiar characters; however, this stand alone did not disappoint one bit. All of the characters were so relatable and you could really see yourself in a little bit of each of them. I found myself really drawn to Rachel and could feel for her with her doubts in her relationships and struggles with her weight and personal improvement. It is beach season and it was a great book to read in my hammock or beside the water!!!

This book was slow moving and didn't really hold my interest. It seemed that parts of the story and phrases were repeated to make the book fill a page requirement . This is a slightly complex story of less than perfect people and that's what I love most about it. Family is often complicated and I feel especially amongst sisters and their mother, maybe because I have 5 of the latter.
As her girls have grown up and mom is now ready to move on it's time for everyone to take another look and see who they really are. A great story you will want to put on your keepers shelf.

Susan Mallery delivers again with emotion, passion, and laughter, through every chapter. It is a feel good read. This is a stand alone book, but after the last page I wish there was a follow up book to follow each sister and their relationship. Maybe on the horizon? This book is fabulous! There are so many different personalities and family dynamics happening with the characters I felt as if it was my own family. Courtney, Sienna, and Rachel have become my new best friends! Maggie, their mom, is easy to relate to and reminded me of my own mother! This book will have you laughing, crying, and sighing! A must read for anyone with a family!

This was an amazing story of three sisters who are helping their mother plan her wedding. Her mother has been a widow for many years and all the girls were effected by their fathers death and now as adults are dealing with those wounds. Great writing - could not put it down !

I’m really glad to have chosen this particular book as my first Susan Mallery read.
In one word, this was a DELIGHT! I enjoyed it immensely, from the characters (and there are many!) through the dialogue and onward to humor, shedding a tear or two along the way.
This heartwarming story can teach all of us about family ties and what they really mean. It also perfectly takes you through some very emotional situations that require forgiveness and unconditional love, without it being too “preachy”.
If you want to be entertained and taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, this is the book for you!

Great Read! I'm normally not a huge fan of 3 heroines in a story. I normally get confused with which person is doing what. Susan Mallery does it right. The book follows the story of the 3 daughters of the bride and their love stories. Touching stories of love conquering all!

Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery is a great book ! This is Susan at her best. Her writing and stories are strong. There are 3 daughters of the bride who each have their own story going on as well as the relationship between themselves and their mother. I felt each of the stories was engaging and well written. This book is a winner.

I liked the story line. People have issues when their parent dies and they are young. This happened to the girls in the book. Everyone deals with it differently as did the girls in the book. The mom did the best she could when the dad died. Now the mom is finding happiness again and the daughters relationship are changing as they are growing.

Susan Mallery has woven another winner! This is a heart-warming story of three sisters and their relationship with each other. Planning their mother's wedding and dealing with their own love lives brings lots of latent feelings to light and makes for a wonderful book!

Loved!! Loved!! Loved!! This is yet another great book by Susan Mallery. Three separate stories going on at the same time yet also all connected. The three sisters in this book all have their own problems they are trying to work through while planning a wedding for their mother. Great book. I laughed and cried.

Another great read by Susan Mallery. Different from the Fool's Gold Series but once again another great story about family and love. I have 3 sisters so I could really relate to the dynamics. Susan Mallery books are always an exciting read. Love her characters and her storylines. You get to know her new characters and get a visit from one of her past characters which is a neat surprise. Always look forward to her next new novel after you finish reading

I needed a lighthearted book this time around and got it.
Loved the new relationship building Maggie and her daughters were making, with each other and in their own lives. They each “grew up” in a sense within themselves and with those they loved.

A wedding ,your mother's no less. A happy, loving, fun filled event. Maybe not. Three sisters see their childhood three different ways and there is more than enough blame to go around. Can they make peace with their past and each other in time for the big? Read Daughters of the Bride and find out. You will not be disappointed.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was a wonderful distraction from my day to day. I always appreciate the strength of Ms Mallery's writing, even when I'm on the fence about the story's content. This is another strong entry into her library of books, and I enjoyed reading it.

Susan Mallery has made every character in this book complex and memorable. Each daughter has a different set of problems and manages to overcome them and become close to their mother. It was hard to choose my favorite character but I think it's Courtney.

I have been looking forward to Susan Mallery’s first hardcover debut and wasn’t disappointed. I loved how she blended together the stories between the daughters and their mother. The story also deals with many current issues that families have to deal with. I will definitely recommend this book to others especially to anyone wanting ideas for an upcoming wedding.

Daughters of the Bride is a wonderful story by Susan Mallery. It is about three sisters (and their mother's) road to true love. Each sister has their own quirks, and I'm sure most people can identify with at least one of the sisters. If you enjoy Women's Fiction and heartwarming stories, this is a book for you.

Daughters of the Bride is a story about three sisters - Rachel, Sienna and Courtney - each very different in both looks and personality. The book revolves around the three sisters as they plan their moms wedding while dealing with their day to day lives and romantic relationships. I was able to relate to each of them at different points in the book. Thoroughly enjoyed this perfect beach read!

I loved this tale of three sisters and their mother. I enjoyed the characters and really came to care about them. While the ending was a bit predictable, the journey was wonderful! My favorite character was Courtney; her quirkiness made her interesting and refreshing.

It's a nice story about family dynamics, and siblings, and everyday troubles. I felt good reading it, and I liked how it ended.

The way Susan writes her characters dialogue is unique. It's as if I'm there and can hear the laughter, or hear the pain in their voices.

I really enjoyed this book. This would have been a great trilogy with the three sisters. Each sister had her own story intertwined with the main story line. I enjoyed the new setting and would love to see more characters developed this to make a series.

I really liked the family dynamic. I am one of three siblings and totally identified with two of the sisters. I'd really like to see a novella of all four of the women like a year later to see how everything worked out. Another great book from Susan Mallory

I always allow plenty of reading time when I have a new Susan Mallery book. This is my new favorite. I had assumed there would be three short stories, but instead it's one story that alternates between the characters until it turns into one story seamlessly. I didn't want it to end!

I had read some of the lower reviews before reading and was concerned. Susan Mallory is my favorite author and I had never been disappointed before. I must say that this book was amazing. I love the way it was written and I love how the family relationship was pulled together with the stories of their separate lives. For me it was a book that I did not want to put down. It caught my interest in the first 4 pages. I highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite Susan Mallery books. It has just enough of everything....romance, suspense, sister love, all making you wanting to keep reading. I read the entire book in two days. I always think about my daughter getting married, so that might be why I loved this book so much.

I borrowed this book from the library.
I found the book to boring and unemotional.
There is a self-centred mother whose favourite colour is pink. The repetition of pink was irritating.
One sister is divorced. The author wants us to believe that it is the woman's fault that her husband cheated.
One sister has been engaged multiple times. Her true love happens on the last page.
One sister is ungainly and everyone believes is stupid because she has an unnamed learning disability.
I have loved other books by this author, but this foray into hard back left me unimpressed.

I enjoyed the story line and the twists. I did find the beginning a little to follow and had to re-read a few sentences but once I understood who was who and how they related to each other the story flowed well for me. I hope to read more stories by this author.

Another wonderful book by Susan Mallery. I was up until the wee hours of the morning reading as much as I could, whenever I could. I felt like I could relate to some, if not all of the sisters at some point. Although I don't have sisters, this book gave me great insight into the different dynamics. The mother-daughter relationships were easy to relate to. Read this book. You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this novel. I’ve read many of Susan Mallery’s novels and she is usually good for an absorbing read. I am glad to see her branch into Women’s Literature from her romance novel.a and series like “Fool’s Gold”. I think she really shines in this genre.
This is a good summertime read, whether on the beach, in the car or at home.
