If you can imagine, the time is 3:30 AM, like in the morning, and I am reading The Lost Choice. I found the book compelling and I was unable to put it down. I particularly like not only what Andy Andrews had to write about, I liked the way he wrote it. It was extremely interesting, held my attention and conveyed a most worthwhile message. If you read his first book, The Traveler's Gift, you can understand that something you do can ultimately change the world. The Lost Choice takes it a step further. If you have a belief and then constantly ask yourself "If I truly believed what I think I believe, what would I say or do to be compliant with that belief?" If you do this and you constantly say and do things that serve a purpose, you CAN ultimately change the world. "By your hand, the world will be changed!" While this was not one of the ancient scripts described in the book, it certainly applies to Andy Andrews. By his hand, lives could be changed and should that happen, the world will be changed. How many people can say that about that which they do and say? My life has been changed by The Traveler's Gift and what I now say and do is being changed by The Lost Choice. Words would simply do an injustice as to how important I believe this book to be. If you were permitted to read only one more book in your life, it should be this book!

I felt like an magical force lead me across the floor of the local bookstore and right to this book. I had read The Travelers Gift, which is awesome, so I figured Andy Andrews new book was likely a must read. A picked it up, read some of the quotes and a voice in my head said "buy it." I'm glad I did. While anytime is the right to read this book, the timing for me couldn't have been better. I am about to make some choices regarding my business that have had me stumped for quite some time. After reading this book, the fog cleared and I now know the direction in which I wish to go.
I must warn you that this book will move you and shake you. And you could erupt at any moment into tears - of joy. You better get ready for a new life - this is very powerful stuff. In fact, I would find it impossible for you to read this and not be changed - in a very good way.
While reading the book you will have a profound respect for human potential - particularly yours. You will be ready and more than willing to make a difference in the world, and what a difference that can make in your life! The power is truly within you, and you will come to know it just in case you've had any doubts.
Andy has a special gift for storytelling which makes this book both an enjoyable and inspirational learning experience. I give this book my highest recommendation. Don't wait. Buy this book and let Andy Andrews moving story change your life.

I bought The Lost Choice because I really enjoyed the author's previous book, The Traveller's Gift. Lost Choice is even more inspirational, while Traveller's Gift provides motivational messages you can put into action.

I read the first 60 pages of this book a couple of weeks ago, then misplaced it. This was quite annoying, because the plot was just getting interesting. But eventually I found it and finished it, and feel quite satisfied for the experience.

Thsi is the kind of book that causes you to question yourself, and what you're doing with your life. if you prefer the unexamined life, stay away!

Andrews is still coming into his own as a writer. He's become a very good story teller, but needs to mature a bit more in the difficult art of writing, characters and viewpoint in particular. Given the overall high quality of his work, I'm sure this will come.

Overall, a good book, well worth reading. I hope Andrews stays with his writing-it shows great promise!

Andy has done it again! The way he weaves history into his story & makes it relatable to everyone, puts you right in the middle of the action. I appreciate the message within the pages of how the choices we all make can impact lives for generations to come.

What did Joan of Arc, our founding fathers, George Washington Carver and a Vanderbilt have in common? This fictional story is a bit hard to believe, but if you are willing to suspend your belief for a few hours you can enjoy some light reading that supposedly answers that question. The modern day segments are less interesting than the historical flashbacks, but overall this is a fun book to read with a message that just might leave you inspired. This bargain book was a bargain to me.

People are always recommending this book or that. But your BEST choice is The Lost Choice. It is really capitivating, entertaining and inspiring. (Don't be fooled, some so-called "inspirational" books are dry and sleep aids. Here you are inspired WHILE being entertained.) I bought it on one afternoon and finished it at 7 am the next morning. I could not put it down, even while taking care of 3 children! By reading this book you will remember your significance in this world, even when you are apt to forget. This book was a much needed boost in my life. Now, I am telling everyone about it - and giving them away as gifts. I want all my friends and family to be blessed by the message in this book, too. Andy Andrews does a fantastic job of story telling that catapults you into different lives and times of the characters so that you feel as though YOU are living out the story! You will read faster and faster, anxiously looking for the next big adventure. Do yourself and the ones you love a big favor and get this book today - and read it before anything else! Thanks, Andy, for ANOTHER life changing experience.

In The Lost Choice Andy Andrews weaves together history and legend to deliver a very positive, heart-warming message about the value of all human beings and the impact an individual has. His detailed historical settings and characters combined with his compelling writing makes for a real page turner.
The relationship Andrews develops between the main characters of the book is appealing and draws the reader into this circle of friends. As these friends get to know and like each other more, the reader is also growing to know and like them better as well. As the main characters embark on a journey of discovery you are compelled to journey with them.
As a father, I found the concept of legacy between generations that Andrews develops incredibly interesting and emotionally stirring.
There are only a few books that I can honestly say "changed me", The Lost Choice is one of those books. I read it in three sittings and could barely put it down. I highly recommend it!

For all of us, life is a long strange road. As I read this Andy Andrews book, I was reading through the eyes of someone who knew Andy way back when (we were college roomates) but who's path has taken him away from Andy over the decades. That said, it is refreshing to read the thoughtfullness, warmth, and genuine goodness that has been part of Andy's charactor no matter how successful he becomes. This is a good read, and one that you can read often, and with increased enjoyment.

I've always read two types of books. One type is for self improvement. I'm not always riveted to the pages, but usually gleen some sort of information that helps me live a richer, more productive and fulfilling life. The other type is the novel. When I go on vacation I love to lie in a hammock or on the beach and escape with a great story. THE LOST CHOICE is a rare read in that it combines the two into one awesome story. In this incredible tale of mystery and revelation Andy Andrews once again weaves true experiences in the lives of men and women who have contributed to the fabric of our society with a fictionalized story of a lost artifact and the group of friends who seek its meaning. The story left me hopeful and energized. One of the great discoveries within the pages of THE LOST CHOICE is that we all make a difference! Each of our individual souls contain the same great intrinsic value and worth of those historical figures who have made a positive difference throughout the ages. Read THE LOST CHOICE. It's Andy Andrews' finest offering yet.

Although I don't really see the connection with the Book of Revelation (this may come as I contemplate the story more) I found the book to be a very good read, filled with the typical- both good and evil. It definitely show a picture of human nature.

This is a book that causes the reader to search our purpose in living each day. Are we making a difference in the lives of others? Are we changing the world in a big way by little choices we make to better each day and help others along the way? After reading the first two chapters, I got a highlighter and started again, highlighting the life-altering sentences. As I reread those sections, I have a guide, simple questions I can ask myself each day. The book inspired me to reflect, to search myself, and to act. I have just ordered another book by the same author. He is particularly astounding with his insight.

For some reason, this book just never managed to lure me in. The mark of a good book is being unable to walk away from it without feeling the loss and being eager to get back to reading it. This book didn't achieve that. To be fair, I'd say that the last sixty or so pages were very well written and got me more interested. However, I don't think it's worth reading an entire book to enjoy a quarter of it. Overall I'd say that it's a good book and you won't be sorry you read it, but with all of the AMAZING books out there, you might want to think before you pick it up.

Highly recommend this book! I like the audio aspect so that I can listen while I'm driving long distances or can download into my ipod. Andy Andrews is a great storyteller who happens to teach a valuable lesson. Make sure you check out "The Traveler's Gift" - a must have, to value and empower, for a successful life!

This book was too heavy on its goody-goody message - that magical ancient objects put in the hands of ordinary people can lead them to greatness. Made me almost feel like "Gee, I guess I won't really make it unless I find a weird old piece of bronze."

The characters were incredibly one-dimensional - even when they got a hold of the "things." I thought I was reading LaHaye and Jenkins until I looked on the flyleaf and saw that Andy Andrews is a motivational speaker - then it made sense. I am totally non-suceptible to motivational speakers - sorry but I think it's all corn.

Don't get me wrong - I have read some inspirational work that I thought was great - Gloria J. Gibson, for example, but this? Not for me.

If you love "Reader's Digest" you might love this. If you are a bit jaded and an anti-Pollynanna, you might not care for it.

The Travler's gift was wonderful. The Young Traveler's Gift is the same book just a younger person. Other than that, the books are word for word. The Lost Choice still should be lost! Yep, that's right. Hard to believe that it's from the same writer. The whole book finally leads up to two pages in the back of the book. Then it's like wham - Here it is!! Then I was like, THAT'S IT? It would make a good high school history book. But, the high school teacher's of Math, science, English, or any others wouldn't care for it! I just read the top ten ways two waste a reader's time and this book knocked the top five on the head!

5. Opening with a cliché
4. Yanking the reader out of the action with backstory
3. Not giving the reader a sense of place or where the story is going
2. Characters are boucning around or MIA until late in story line
1. Telling instead of showing

SORRY! Buy 10 copies of The travler,s Gift and hand them out! Buy 10 more and keep it up! But, The Lost Choice is a flop!! Waste of time and money!

I seldom read self-help type books but started this one and was hooked by the first page. I literally read it in 2 days. The story is exceptional. It would be a great book to read to or with others and discuss what happens as the story unfolds. When I finished, I read parts of it again. It is truly not an ordinary book. It is much more than a self-help book; it is one for changing the way we live!!

In a world where we as individuals can begin to think that we can't make a difference, "The Lost Choice" shows us that we can each change the world. I was hugely inspired by this book and can only hope it gains wide distribution because so many people need to know that what they do, or don't do, really matters. I loved this book!

The Lost Choice is a compelling book that starts your wheels in motion--makes you begin to think! What choices have I made, what choices can I make? Young or old, it is not too early or too late to make a difference in your life and those around you. Because of this book, I have personally taken a look at where I am in life and decided I have a few more choices to make!
With the help of this book, you can too! The choice is yours!

I absolutely LOVE this book. I read it a few years ago, and the moral still comes to mind. I think about it a lot. It really has a great story and Andy Andrews really has a way of getting a great life lesson accross to people.

The Lost Choice takes meinto a time and place I have never been. Andy Andrews has the God given ability to share thoughts and experiences that are life changing. He is an exceptional "story teller". Don't miss the opportunity to experience The Lost Choice. You will want to share this book with people you care about.

This book made me cringe too many times to count. If you've had any exposure to good fiction, this book will do the same to you. He is not a "master storyteller." I understand there is a self-help message here, but I don't need it put into second-rate fiction to get the message across.
