I read the 1 and 2 star reviews and I think they are just being picky. Yes, her grammer is not correct some of the time and yes, some things seem kind of repetitive, but this was the most exciting book I have read by Kingsbury so far. I feel like I know the Baxter family and I feel like they are a real family or something, so I don't really mind all the repetitiveness and all. Great book, great series!

This series is just amazing! It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering if the Baxter's and Dayne will ever meet. In this book you just might find out. But I don't want to give anything away so just read it and know that you'll be happy you did!

Found is the 3rd book in the Firstborn series. The 8th book in the Baxter series.
Dayne Matthews is still in love with Katy Hart, but Kelly Parker has other plans for Dayne. Kelly Parker calls and drops a bomb on Dayne that he was not expecting. Katy is still in love with Dayne but knows there is no way that they can be together.
Ashley keeps asking her Dad if he has found their older brother. John had hired a PI to find him and the PI did, but they had not expected to find that his son would be the celebrity that he is.
The Baxters are planning their summer family reunion. All the siblings are coming in for it. On the night that John Baxter is ready to tell them that they have an older brother, a huge tornado hits Bloomington. All the Baxters were in the basement and Ashley goes into labor. By the time the tornado is over, Ashley is in bad shape.
Katy and the Flanigans were in the basement during the tornado. Afterwards, they find out that the Reed family was missing and their house was flattened.
One of my favorite parts of the book. Dayne goes to Mexico to meet up with an old friend from boarding school days. Bob is speaking on the street and Dayne is hearing every word. It moves him to the point where he goes forward and accepts God into his heart. After it is all over, Bob's wife, Rosa, told Dayne that he was surprised he was able to make out what he was saying. She said she didn't think he was able to speak Spanish. Dayne was shocked b/c he heard every word that Bob spoke and he spoke it all in English. God is the God of miracles!!
In the end, Dayne finds out that his biological Dad does want to be a part of his life. His agent lied to John Baxter every time he called him. Thankfully God moved things into His timeline for things to fall into place for John and Dayne to finally meet each other.
I am very much enjoying the Baxter series. I can't wait to continue the series would Family. Karen is truly a gifted writer that God has granted a wonderful talent of writing.

Rolling hills is what comes to mind thinking of this book. I ascend a hill, get to the top and read faster to get to the next scene. I lost a lot of sleep over this read. I cried a lot of tears over this story. I felt the excitement, thrill and heartbreak.
Anyone would want the Baxter family to be their next door neighbors. They were a loving family with everyday challenges. There was a void in their hearts left by an adoption many years previous. Would he be found? The storms in the book were in the soul and in physical form. We were transported to both places.
We went to Hollywood with Dayne, a movie star trying to find answers to his own life. The reader traveled with him as he sought the truth. Would he find it?
Karen had a way of saying many sentences in one sentence. "Then like sunshine after a thunderstorm dawned on his face." There were so many more examples. I found myself stopping and writing the sentences down. I am a student of her writing style. I look forward to the next book.
The rolling hills of reading did present some twists and some hills held breathtaking scenes as I stood on top. One word: Gripping.

Karen Kingsbury has a wonderful way of telling a story .. she makes it impossible to put a book down! It is 4:21 AM and I can finally go to sleep since I finished this book!
To find a writer who is this good and one who has God at the center of her life and those of her characters is so refreshing .
and reminds us all that God really is in charge of everything!

FOUND, the third book in the Firstborn series by Karen Kingsbury was amazing!
Dayne Matthews' world continues to get more and more complicated. Just when he thinks he will be able to set the record straight and start a relationship with Katy Hart, he receives information he can't ignore. With his back against the wall, he does what he knows is right, even if it means the end of his chances with Katy.
John Baxter is doing everything he can to find his son, the one that he and his deceased wife had to give up for adoption. When he finds out it is Dayne Matthews, he is stunned. He struggles with the secret he has kept from his kids, but doesn't want to expose them to possible rejection.
Katy Hart tells herself over and over again she has no future with Dayne Matthews. His choices and decisions in life have set his course for him. But, no matter what she tells herself, she knows it's love that she feels for Dayne, the man she can never have.
FOUND is fast and furious. Jumping from Dayne, Katy, John, and Ashley, it was fast-paced and riveting. It is the third book in the series I have finished in so many days. I loved seeing Dayne opening up to the possibility of seeking out God and how it was handled. I have already started reading FAMILY. And it kills me that I won't be able to give it my undivided attention. Darn my adult responsibilities!

Wow! What a great continuation of the stories of Dayne and Katie and the Baxter Family! This is an excellent book. It will make you want to read it from cover to cover in one sitting! I really enjoy Karen Kingsbury books. I've read her 2 books about 9/11 (Tuesday Morning and Beyond Tuesday Morning), and I've read the preceding five books of the Redemption Series starring the Baxters. After reading the Redemption Series, I had to continue with the Firstborn Series. Karen does an awesome job of touching on all the characters throughout her books and showing how God touches all of their lives.
I had read most of Fracine Rivers' books and was looking for another author to read. Karen Kingsbury is definitely a great choice! Enjoy her work! I can't wait until "Family" comes out!

Once again, Karen nails it.
We're immediately drawn into the lives of the Baxters, Katy Hart, and Dayne Matthews. The only problem with Karen's books is that they are too readable! I get through them in a day if I have the time.
And, as always, she's left me waiting for the next book in the series to appear.
Great characters, wonderful storyline and a clear salvation message. What more could a reader ask for in Christian Women's Fiction?

I enjoyed this third installment of the series. Dayne has a deep personal journey in this book, and like the song "Amazing Grace" says: "I once was lost but now am found..." Great tie of the hymn into the book title. I look forward to the final 2 in the FIRSTBORN set.

Karen has done it again. She really knows how to pull her readers into
a story. I have throughly enjoyed reading her Firstborn series. She makes
her characters seem almost real. Every one of her books is just a constant
remiminder of why God's love for us is unfailing and eternal. God has give
Karen a true gift the art of writing Christian novels. I am so looking
forward to the next book Family. I am totally hooked on this series. Each
book in the series is better than the last, found is no exception keep those tissues handy you will need them.

I can't get enough of Karen Kingsbury!! This is book 3 of her Firstborn series which follow the "Redemption" series about the Baxter Family. This whole series is so real to our life right now and presents the joys, struggles, successes and failures that all Christian families face. The author is very realistic, yet Christ centered in how to deal with the everyday issues of life.

This book wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't one of the best. I too found myself wishing that it would just get to the point! The story line is interesting, but it felt like it just drags you out way too long. I often found myself just skimming parts of the book that didn't seem to fit the overall plot. Don't get me wrong, it's a great series and I can't wait for its conclusion. I just felt this book wasn't on point.

Found is another exceptional book by Karen Kingsbury. This continues the saga of The Baxter family, Dayne Matthews and Katy Hart. Dayne and Katy continue in their relationship, still trying to overcome many obstacles. The Baxter family (namely Ashley) continue to be blessed. John Baxter attemmpts to contact his firstborn son. Dayne attempts to come to terms with his past and find his Lord. This is a really good book. Give yourself plently of time to read, because you will want to read it in one sitting. It ends like the other books in this series...counting the days until the next book comes out.

The Redemption Series followed by the Firstborn series are the best of Karen Kingsbury. Each book leaves you wanting to read the next. It is hard to review just one book in this series. If you haven't read the Redemption series, start at book one and go through from the beginning, then on tho the Firstborn series.

I'm a big fan of Karen Kingsbury. Her Christian fiction is very refreshing and more realistic than most. This book was very moving and I found myself actaully crying at time - something I seldom do while reading fiction.

Thanks to the store I have been able to purshase all the books that are not available to me and I have donated them back to the library so the next person will be able to enjoy them as well. Thanks the store!

This was such a great book. I love all of Karen Kingsbury's books. As with the previous books, I could not put this one down, read it in 2 days. Now I just have to wait until the next one comes out. While they all touch my heart, the beautiful brokenness of Dayne Matthews and his search for significance and love really got to me this time. Read this one! It was wonderful.

Karen Kingsbury is a great author and I love her series of books on the Baxter family. Can't wait for the last one to come out. "Found" is the 4th in a series of 5. However, the first series about the Baxter family (series of 5 also) is the one that got me involved with ready her books. Great writer, always keeps my interest.
