I made the mistake of taking the negative reviews too seriously and initially passed Sex and Bullets up. But, eventually I had this itch because I love Jo and hadn't read EVERYTHING from her so I was like, screw it and went in.

I loved this book! I have no idea what those crazy women were complaining about. It's very action packed and just a fun read. The characters are deep and yes there's lots of insta-love but hey, it's a story - roll with it.

I was given a arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Let me start by saying I absoutely love Jo Raven and all the books shes written so far and I really want to love storm just as much that begin said I didnt. Im not a big fan of lust or love at first sight i believe thats something thats built up over the chapters. I felt like the realtionship between storm and raylin was rush and moved way too fast. I just didnt connect with the story or its characters. That being said i still love Jo and will continue to read her books this one just didn't do it for me

When Raylin finds a house in Florida to lay low from her fathers associates, she thinks she can finally take a breath from threat against her life.
She wasn't expecting hot, tattooed, and dangerous aka Storm to be housesitting down the beach from her.
Storm isn't the mild mannered handyman she first mistakes him for, no he has secrets of his own he's hiding.

Danger has never looked so good in Jo Ravens newest sexy romance, Storm. I was on the edge of my seat with intrigue throughout the whole book, while the secrets unfolded. Jo took me on the ride of a lifetime with danger lurking around every corner never leaving you bored for a second.
If you loved the Inked Brotherhood you will definitely not be disappointed. These characters are just as damaged and needing love to find their way in life. My only critique is I have to wait for the next one to be published to read more.

Received an ARC for an honest review! Do you want an adrenaline, blood pumping mysterious read? Look no further than Storm by Jo Raven. I am a huge fan of Jo Raven's and I am so excited about this new series. Jo Raven possesses a gift in her writing that will pull you into the story and then when you think you can breath "Bam" she pulls you right back in. The characters, Storm and Raylin, are simply amazing. Storm is sexy, has secrets and tattoos. Raylin is on the run, she is sassy and she will need to learn to trust. These two are both running from something and will need to trust each other. The amount of heat between Storm and Raylin is definitely not lacking. This is a great read and I cant wait to find out what lie ahead for this series. Will Storm and Raylin trust each other enough to find the truth in the past? Great start to a new series. Well done Jo Raven!

Wow! Let me just say I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. The only negative I had about the book was fact that this book didn't draw any real emotions from me. In this authors previous books I cried with three characters even laughed with them. However, in this one it really didn't do it for me. Raylin was on the run hiding out from the people hunting her while Storm is hiding from his real life. Jo titled this story well with sex and bullets, as the book was full of both. I loved the "lust/love at first sight" embodiment in the story. I'm a sucker for a love story filled with ups and downs. Fate brings them together while the world tries to tear them a part. The question is can their love story be stronger than their pasts? I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a different kind of love story and easy read then check out this book.

Storm (Sex and Bullets Book 1) by Jo Raven

### 5 Storming Stars ###

What an amazing book, I was drawn in and completely absorbed from the very beginning.

Raylin and Storm are a force to be reckoned with, I loved their characters and the mystery behind their pasts as it all gradually unfolded.

This is my first book by Jo Raven and it certainly wont be the last. I loved every single minute. For me, this book had everything... seriously hot characters, suspense, intrigue, danger and s*** loads of steaming hot sex. What more could you want in a book ?

This was a really easy 5 stars, I can't wait to read more in the 'Sex & Bullets' series.

This was a brilliant sexy and suspenseful read. I basically sat and read this in one afternoon. Unputdownable.

Storm and Raylin are both running from their past. Raylin finds herself taking a few days rest at a beach house. While there she meets the oh so hot Storm. They are both hiding secrets they are reluctant to share however as we progress through the book those secrets are revealed. Will it destroy them?

I love these two characters. The chemistry between them is so hot. Great secondary characters added so much to the story. Looking forward to reading more of this series. I loved it.

Two people hiding out, both for different reasons. One is on the run and the other from the reality of real life. From the moment their eyes met I know there was going to be something between them. It was amazing. Storm knew something was up with Ray. She wasn't going to let him know. She did it to protect herself and him. Little did she know he has secrets of his own. Storm promises to help her and protect her but it's like she fights him everyway she can. both tell each other the true as their bond grows and I believe it really helped them more to get through it. That and the help of Storms best friends. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I swear, Jo Raven's books never disappoint me... I have been a fan since her very first book, and have enjoyed watching her grow as an author. I say this because as much as I LOVED her other series, this book has just blown them away. For those who haven't read any of her books let me tell you that this book is the first one to be categorized as NA Romantic Suspense, instead of NA Contemporary Romance.

For those of you who HAVE read her other books, you may remember Raylin. She was the absent roommate of Megan (Rafe's book), and we FINALLY get to see why she disappeared.

This books has action, LOTS of steam, and characters that you wish were real. It was a highly entertaining read & I'm already looking forward to book 2!

Another amazing book by Jo Raven!! What a book to start a new series with!! Storm & Raylin were great characters!! Their attraction to each other was instantaneous and strong. They fought it but it was inevitable. They both are running from something and I love that because it brought an understanding to them. This book had just the right amount of drama, laughter, suspense & heart felt scenes. Jo Raven always sucks me into her books because her writing is so soulful that you can't help but connect to the story & characters. I am so excited for the other books that are to come in this series!!

This book and I have a love/hate relationship. As a whole I really enjoyed it. I didn't doubt that considering how much I have loved Jo Raven's other books. However there were some things that really bothered me. Ray and Storm I love as a couple. However how they got together so quickly felt rushed and unrealistic. Their devotion to each other is touching but also somewhat unrealistic. Each character has such trust issues and their quick relationship makes the reader not trust them fully until the story unravels more. Which coincidently is what makes this a great and powerful read. I like how the story evolves and it's nice how many twists and turns there are. The book is broken up into two parts and I definitely like Part 2 more then Part 1. Part one is the hate and Part 2 is the love. The beginning was rushed where as the end slows down and gives you a chance to really believe the characters and get on board with the story. I really enjoy alternating points of view and I think it really fits this book especially because both characters have secrets and you get to see them unfold through each of their eyes. All in all it was a great read. The novel goes by quickly and when you reach the end you don't even remember how you got there. Jo Raven works her magic again.

Two people on the run from two different problems and life styles. Then Raylin runs right into the ocean into storms arms and he is determined not to let her go. but for what price?
this was different than Jo's books, but she didn't disappoint and as always the sex is hot and steamy.
I love how Raylin is feisty dependent on no one. but because of being on the run and has never been able to trust anyone she has came across.
Storm has a story that no one can believe, not even his best friends. The one thing he can't explain is his flash backs. Storm is strong and confident man but can he convince his best friends of his theory

After reading Rafe, I was very curious about Megan’s roommate Raylin. I was so happy to see that Jo Raven was writing Raylin her own book. Raylin and Storm are one hot couple. Danger & Sex, that basically sums up their relationship. But they are drawn to each other. They come from different worlds, Storm’s family coming from money, and Raylin’s family coning people to get money. But they are both being hunted and it gets a little crazy for them!
I enjoyed reading this one, and also meeting Storm’s two best friends- Rook and Hawk. If you love Jo’s writing and her other books this one will not disappoint. Can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

I received this book as an ARC and OMG it did not disappoint. I have read everything that Jo has written and with each book she grows as a writer. Each new edition is better than the last, showing Jo's talent as a storyteller. Each chapter is well thought out, her writing descriptive. This book is my new favourite!! I loved the way we were introduced to Raylin and Storm and how we became captivated by their stories. You become intrigued with what's happened in their pasts, but it's the intensity that this books offers (that you don't always find in many books) that grips you till the end. I love that!! I love being caught up in their lives as if I am there living it with them. A must read!! I am looking forward to the next instalment xx ?

I have mixed feelings on this one. The story was intriguing enough to keep me hooked, but I didn't really connect with either character. I thought most of the drama would come from Raylin's story but most of it was actually Storm's. I actually found the resolution to Raylin's troubles anti-climatic. I will probably read the next book in the series because like I said, the story is intriguing.

I have read all of the Inked Brotherhood from Jo and this was the perfect fold into a new series! At the end of Rafe and Megan's story, I was kind of wondering about her absentee roommate, Raylin, and Jo delivered the perfect continuation. Neither Storm nor Raylin's lives were perfect. Somehow, they were both entangled in horrifying circumstances, beyond their control. Finding each other, they find the yin to the other's yang. With the help of Storm's friends, they find answers to long buried questions. Hot, steamy, action packed. The absolute perfect start to a new, thrilling series! Bravo! I'm anxiously waiting for the next book!

Her father’s associates will stop at nothing to claim the money he owes them—including killing her. A last ditch ticket to Florida, a temporary house to hide in and no future to look forward to.
That is, until she meets Storm, a tattooed bad boy who is housesitting down the beach and doing repairs for the summer.
A perfect place, a perfect pair of strong arms, a spot of calm in which to hide for a while—or is it?
Drop-dead gorgeous, kind, and hot in bed, Storm may not be what he seems.
Who is the real Storm, and what is he hiding?
Raylin had better find out before the bullets begin to fly...

I recently just started reading romance novels. This one was really, really good. Bad boy Storm has many secrets to hide including his real name and secretive tattoos. Raylin is a young woman running from many things amongst ties to the triad. As soon as they meet the sparks ignite. There's no denying their chemistry emotional and sexual. Throughout the book the readers are told partial truths leaving us on the edge of our seat longing to find out more. Storm had an actual storyline that intrigues the reader throughout the course of the book! Great job Jo Raven!

Wow, this book had me on pins and needles. It started fairly slow, but it was important because we don't really know the characters on this one. In her inked brotherhood series, we get to know the characters in small sips even if the books arent about them, but man, this one, once it took off... It was flying.

If there is anything I can say is that these people are the unluckiest people on the planet, and have probably the crappiest family nucleus I have ever heard about. Apparently, throwing your kids under the bus its a thing now.

I loved that they both needed an outlet and they explored that. The physical connection allowed them to open up emotionally, especially under the circumstances. There is a recurring theme, and that is the theme of hope and friendship. Sometimes, your friends tend to be more important to you than your family.

Infinite amounts of thumbs up to this awesome writer!!!

Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews

This is the first book by Jo Raven that I have read. I have had her other series on my TBR list for a while now. I just haven’t had a chance to read them.

This book was an okay read. The writing was good. I found parts of the storyline, predictable and repetitive. It didn’t keep my attention that well either.

I felt no connection with Raylin or Storm. For that matter, no connection with Hawk or Rook either.

I really was looking forward to reading this after reading the synopsis. It sounded like something I would really enjoy. This one just wasn’t for me though.

This was a complete change from the Inked Brotherhood and Damaged Boys. This had so many unique twists and turns in the story it kept me very entertained. The characters were awesome. The story line for each of them provides so much depth and intrigue to the story. The book explodes with passion. It was a nice change to have both have a checkered past that they are trying to overcome instead of just the guy saving the girl. I even liked the scenery in the story it was all based in the same location through the story. Keep the stories coming please.

Can't wait to see what happens in the next book with the next character's story.

I want to start off by saying that Jo Raven's is an amazing author. I enjoyed her writing and will definitely read more from her.

This book fell short for me - about 75% I started skimming.

I feel terrible about this but I just got bored. :(

I may be the minority here but I couldn't connect with the MC's and found both Storm and Raylin a little too shallow for my liking. The sex scenes were hot - but even then I started skimming because I wanted to know more about them and not their anatomy lol.

Can't wait to read more from Jo Raven!

I was given this book for an honest review ... Our main characters Troy STORM Jordan and Raylin RAY Obrien, meet while trying to hide from an unknown threat and the Chinese mafia. Their relationships starts out with secrets and learning to trust one another...A chance photograph of the couple brings a whole new set of problems which now include Storms best friends who he has hidden from as well Hawk and Rook... This book is more than I expected from a story line of barely 20 years olds so mature for their age and so refreshing to read

I love Jo's books and this one is just as pleasing. Unlike the inked brotherhood and Damage series this one is more action packed which I loved. Storm and Raylin are so great together, they are the others missing half. From the beginning you can tell they are made for each other. They love unconditionally and put the other first in all cases. I so wanted to give this one 5 starts but the fact that Raylins father and brother do not get their comeuppance really bothered me. After everything she had to deal with in her life because of them I really was waiting on her to get her retribution from them at least even a sorry. Can't wait to get a peek at Storm and Raylin in Hawk's book!!

Raylin is on the run from some very bad people. She is staying at a beach house that is not hers. There she meets a very sexy man jogging on the beach. I struggled a little bit with this book in the beginning, it was very slow paced and i felt it took a while to get to the story line behind, but the wait was well worth it, this story is packed with action, and who doesn't like hot alphas who need saving, hot alphas who know how to use a gun. Storm is one sexy beast (i wish i could have my own storm. This story has left me demanding more and has me going straight into Hawk, an amazing 5 star read

I loved Jo Raven's other series and basically now reading through all books this woman ever released. However, Storm didn't grab me as much as all her other books did. I'm not sure what it was, and it got better in the end, but I think there was just not enough we knew about him. In her other books I loved the way we had a lot of the guy's mind as well as the girl's, and in this book it wasn't quite like that. However, it picked up and ended the way I'm used to from other Jo Raven books.

I am a Jo Raven fan to the fullest. I found her through my Kindle Unlimited account and have been addicted ever since. This book is filled with witty one liners, a whole lot of sass, violence, and of course sexy romance scenes. This book will definitely have you flipping through pages like rapid fire. The emotion Jo puts into this novel will have your heart melting, crying, and screaming all at the same time. Definitely worth the read!

Storm is about Troy Jordan - a troubled man with some dark secrets from his past and Ms. Raylin, who we met in Rafe-another Raven book from the Inked Brotherhood, finally gets her story told. She was done dirty by the people who are supposed to never do so- her own family! When fate brings these two together, lust and fascination seem to take over for a few days. That is until trouble hits paradise. Now Storm and Raylin have to run from their combined pasts with the help of Storm's friends Hawk and Rook.

Now the question is: will the two find their peace, or will they parish in the flames?

Is there nothing that Jo Raven can't do? Not only has she written another smash hit, she has me all torn up with who is my favourite character.I've loved all her 'Pretty boys' from day one, the stories, filled with everything you want in a book. Sex and Bullets it was, it was hot in all the right places with bouts of suspense throughout was Raylin and Storm told you their story. We didn't really know what was going on with Raylin from Jo's first series, there was hints of her throughout Rafe. The little bonus scene at the end of Storm will explain everything <3 <3 <3 Fab read, loved it!!!

As with all of this authors work, I love it!
Raylin is on the run when she comes across a beach house she can stay in. Storm is living in one of the others, as he is also escaping from a past.
When he first sees Raylin he knows that she does not belong there, and he is determined to find out her secrets, despite having a few of his own. These two have an instant attraction to each other, and the sex scenes are hot.
As always I would recommend Jo’s work and cannot wait to read more of her work.

"Storm" by Jo Raven is a first book in Sex and Bullets series.
This story follows Raylin - who we met in Rafe from Inked Brotherhood series. She's running away from her past, from people who want to kill her. She finds temporary house to hide in and that's where she meets Storm - hot, tattooed and mysterious bad boy. But Storm has some secrets himself and that's when things get even more complicated and dangerous.

I loved this book. It was different than Jo's Inked Brotherhood series. It's packed with action, suspense and sex! Just how the series' title promises - bullets fly and sex is HOT!
Also, characters are great, Raylin is such a strong and smart woman and Storm is amazing, sweet man!

Recommended!

I am not one to usually enjoy instant attraction plots, as I find them unrealistic. However, this one spoke to me! Storm and Raylin are both so lonely, and broken from running from their problems. They need each other to get the courage to face what is next. I wish they were a few years older to keep up with the feel of their inner dialogue but otherwise a great read!

I really enjoy Jo's writing. It is, without fail, fast paced, spicy and provocative. Lead characters who have issues, but who feel deeply.

This book, a spin off from the Inked Brotherhood series, is all of those things ... and more. This book feels more grown up somehow, edgier, more tense. And I really enjoyed it. Yes, it's instalove, and you may not be a fan of that. But if you can get past that, for pure escapism, this is a great read.

A tortured rich boy meets a beautiful girl on the run from the Chinese mafia. The rich boy/man is called Storm and someone is trying to kill him. What a duo. Can they survive this scenario and find a sustainable relationship? I will be following this series.

Jo Raven has provided a great erotic suspense. Storm and Railyn both have history that threatens their life but are drawn together like magnets. This is not the typical alpha male/submissive female story. Railyn's past made her tough. Storm's made him wary. Anyone looking for a quick read would do well with this story.

This is Jo Raven first book in the sex and bullets series and what a fantastic start Storm is.
I'm a huge fan of Jo Raven after reading the damage control books and this book certainly doesn't disappoint.
It's an explosive fast paced read that will keep you entertained and turning the pages.
Storm and Raylin have that chemistry that knocks you over its that hot.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series

Wow!! I was pulled right into this story! So many laughs, suspense, and heartbreak. The characters were easy to connect with. Raylin is on the run when she meets Storm. She is automatically attracted to him but has to stay away from to protect him. Little does Raylin know Storm is hiding from his past. Their love is definitely a rollercoaster ride but it will make you keep wanting to get on the ride over and over again! I love Jo Raven and this book has made me a solid fan forever!

When I first started reading this book I didn't know how I was going to feel about it. I have read all of her Inked Boys and Damage Boys so this was new territory for me. Once again she nailed it. She keeps you guessing at every turn and does not disappoint. I love all the characters in this book and cant wait for Rook and Hawks story. I not only recommend this book but her others as well!!

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was very intriguing. Raylin and Storm meet while both on the run from their past. They each have secrets and things they don't want to come out. I liked both of them and together they were great. It's packed full of action and hot steamy sex. We have a little mystery involved too, I just loved this book. I can't wait for the next in the series.

I do believe she has done it again!!! This new series will be just as good as the inked brother series. I absolutely loved it!! Can not wait till Hawk comes out! For Raylin to find love with the rich guy Storm who doesn't even want the life he was dealt...but yet will do what needs to be done...and can't seem to be able to survive without each other...priceless! If you haven't started any of jo ravens series then you best get started!!! Definitely good reads!!

Truly enjoyed this book. Full of suspense and HOT HOT HOT times between Raylin and Storm. In the beginning we learn that Raylin is on the run. She meets Storm and we quickly learn he is hiding out as well. Raylin does not want to get Storm involved but little does she realize Storm isn’t able to give her up that easily. Such a creative story line. I could not put this book down. I LOVE Jo Raven!

Given ARC in exchange for honest review.

This book has it all!! From bullets, explosions, & murder, to mansions on the beach, private jets and a shard in the back....and did I mention the hot sex? Raylin meets Storm on the beach in Florida, immediate attraction, but the secrets they each hold could get them both killed. The more they reveal their secrets, the more action and suspense there is, definitely kept me hooked!

The story starts off with two damaged people in trouble. The action builds from there and involves lots of twists and turns. I felt like some things weren't resolved at the end. The story ended abruptly without answering all the questions I still had.

I love Jo Raven's books. Here we see that she is switching from the hot struggling ink artists to the rich boys. Storm and Raylin comes from a diffrent background but they complte each other in such amazing way that makes this story delicious. You will not be disappointed. Of course my favourite series still remain Damage Control.

I've been a Jo Raven fan for a while now. Sex and Bullets #1 is a great story about two people who are running from who they are (were) towards who they want to be. It just so happens that they run smack dab into each other. With quick thinking and the help of dedicated friends, both Storm and Raylin discover each other and who they want to become.

This was such a different story than what I was expecting. I received an arc for an honest review. Storm and Ray make a great couple the mysterious man that run at night in the storm to feel free and Ray is just trying to survive. I was actually pretty anxious while reading this book. I was like when are we going to find out the truth of what's going on? When I did it was a little surprise wrapped in a perfect box. I can't wait to read the next book in a series.

Romantic suspense is one of my all time favorite genres and Storm kept me guessing. There is a lot of in your face sex scenes at the very start that I had a hard getting through but the story line was good. This is the first of a series and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Storm did not disappoint! I have read the Inked Brotherhood, and the Damage Control series by Jo Raven and when I saw there was another series I knew it would be good. If you haven't read the others that is okay, but I would recommend those as well. I can't wait for Hawk's story!!

Such a different story then hat she normally writes. She has the art of capsuring your attention from the get go. I felt the emotions that the characters were dealing with throughout the story. It was hot and steamy and angry and sad all in one book. Great book to read more than once.

Ok so this book started out a little slow for me. It was hard to keep going but I also had a lot going on over the weekend and my attention was always else where. BUT I'm glad I read it through. It was an awesome book and storyline. I love Jo Ravens books and this is no different!

I loved the Inked Brotherhood Series, however Storm fell short for me. I enjoyed the overall story, and the steamy romance. The storyline progressed too quickly from moment to moment, and did not keep my attention as much as other books. If you like stories that jump from meeting one another to an intense relationship, then you will enjoy this story.

I guess for a dollar you can't expect much and that's what I received. But I am still disappointed. I didn't feel a connection to the characters. Any tension there was somehow was quickly resolved, his friends didn't feel like real people or not friends i would want and finally it was way to simplistic. The intimacy scenes didn't work and the backwards and forwards POV was not helpful. So overall I would recommend putting your dollar towards something else ... as I definitely won't be reading this book again.

Something about storms that are dark and scary but at the same time beautiful and strong just like Troy Jordan. He sounds yummy. Raylin sounds young and scare but beautiful, strong and sexy. Both are been chase and both are running away for different reasons but they end meeting and falling in love. It has a lot of action so is entertaining.

I have been reading Jo Raven series books and have become a fan of her writing. This book is different from her usual torture guys but nonetheless the guys are remarkable too along with the girls.

I have read all five of the Inked Brothers series and the Damaged Boys series that has been released. This series is gonna to be as good if not better. How anyone could question that Storm was being targeted is beyond me. How much stuff can happen to one guy before his friends have to believe him. Waiting for Hawks story next.
