I do not like to read. Never have. I downloaded this book to my iPad and started to read. I found I often fell asleep still holding my iPad. I could. Not put this down. Loved the story. I would recommend this book.

I had high hopes for this book based on the description and I was disappointed.

First off, the H was a stalker. He just watched her everyday from across the street. Creeper.

The h was spineless. She wasn't honest with the H (and the H kept a secret from her too). Her parents didn't believe her at all when she said her ex was making her uncomfortable. What kind of parents push a guy on their daughter that she thinks is a psycho? It just doesn't happen.

This was one of those 'i've only talked to you for twenty minutes, but I love you' books. Yeah, ugh.

The h sleeps with the creepy H after knowing him for like a day. There was no one night stand mentality at all. She slept with him in the same manner that a girl would sleep with her boyfriend of six months. It just wasn't written right.

To be honest, it was a bit boring. Not at all intense or even romantic.

Both main characters were unlikable and unrelatable.

Now for the positive side.
It was a quick read. The cover is nice and it was free. The ending was complete with no real cliffhangers. Yeah, that's about it...

Unless, you are completely bored with absolutely nothing else to read, I would not recommend this book

Jo Raven has done it again and delivered another heart rendering read with Micah. My emotions were invested straight away as I connected to the lead characters Micah and Evangeline. The story had cross over characters Zane, Rafe, Tyler and Asher from the Inked brotherhood series making you feel all the alpha male goodness warming you as the story unfolded. Micah is a survivor working as a tattoo artist at Damage Control trying to get back on his feet with the strength of one girl who pleasures his dreams, and manages to calm his racing heart from the nightmares that haunt his sleep. I loved Micah's soft and gentle side as he admired Evangeline the girl of his dreams from afar, Evangeline being oblivious of his identity and her significance to his recovery, but always sharing glances with the sexy blonde from across the street and hoping to catch daily glimpses of admiring him. Micah is a story about finding self-worth, friendship, meeting your soul mate, refusing to be held back by pain and gaining control of one's life from the grips of adversity and parental control for both the hero and heroine, add to the mix one crazy ex, suspense and plenty of hot, sweet, romantic and sexy scenes with a loveable heroine, leaving you craving to learn more about these amazing soulful damaged alpha men who always have each other's back as Jo Raven uncovers their struggles one by one. I can't wait to read about Seth, Shane, Ocean and Jesse's story in this new Damaged Control series, as Jo Raven is guaranteed to deliver swoon worthy alpha men who have a knack to embed themselves into your heart, and bring out a fierce need in you to protect them and never let go.

Right from the start everything happened too fast in this book. They've met once and now they're in love, it all just seemed too far fetched. It was awfully predictable and I felt the author put more effort into the sex scenes than the storyline. In the end I had to put the book down, I couldn't finish it, the whole thing just felt disjointed and rushed.

Great read, Micah's character was written wonderfully he was tough a solid friend he came from a very bad background but was a really good guy and a hard worker and despite not growing up with a loving family, he was loyal, loved with all his heart and thanks to the ink brotherhood training could open up a can of woop ass on a short excuse for a person of necessary.

Ev was brought up in a good caring if not controlling home. she was well loved by her family and as such became a caring person in her own right wanting to take care of the homeless or others in need even against her family's wishes she did what she could for them and in doing so saved lives and helped many others. When Micah and she ran across each others paths under different circumstances they were so drawn together that there was no stopping them, again this was a wonderful read!

=/ I was very disappointed at how short this book was; it's only 50-70% the length of the other books in the Inked Brotherhood and Damage Control series. While I liked the characters, there was no time to get to know them, no time for the characters and storyline to actually develop. The end result was a fairly basic story with little meat to it, and superficial characters that I wasn't that invested in. Micah really got cheated when it came to having his story told, especially when compared to how intense some of the issues were that were dealt with in the previous books.

While I'd really rate the book a 3 from these problems, I'm giving it 4 stars because poor Micah has already been cheated enough. He didn't write his own story, he just had to live what he was given.

This is the first book in a spin-off of the Inked Brotherhood Series. Micah first met Ev when he was at his lowest point. She saved him, but she doesn’t recognize him when they meet again around six months later. Ev has had her share of struggles since their fateful meeting, and she feels like a totally different person. When they find each other Micah is afraid to tell her who he is. She has become fearful of people like he used to be, and he doesn’t want to scare her away. This book is a little shorter than the ones in the Inked Brotherhood series but I enjoyed it. It felt a little rushed in spots, but still a good read.

Micah is the first book in Josephine Raven's new series Damage Control. Micah has been hurt throughout his entire life this has lead to some medical problems. This kids that are tatoo artist aprentices, and that we heard of in Josephine's previous series Ink Brotherhood, come here to establish the fact that Zane is an amazing man, with a very beautiful soul.

Kids that were in the foster care system, and that suffered the failure that this system is, he ve ended in bad places and decide to run as soon as they can. In comes Zane the knight armed with tarts and decided they need help.

In Micah's case he was done such horrendous things, there's this angel that saved him at one time, he sees her everyday, but won't talk to her for fear of recognition. Evangeline is this amazing soul that ends up with a man that is despicable and dangerous. But she sees all the good in Micah that even he miss to see.

A lot happens with them, and the despicable man that haunts her, will the Inked Brothers and the Damage Boyz wiil be able to put a stop to him? Will Micah be able to jump the hurdles that are his insecurities so he can be with the woman he loves? Will Evangeline be able to keep loving him, and finally be his even with the opposition she encounters?

You think there is not a sad story left for Josephine Raven to bring us, and she goes again and proves you wrong. The ability this woman has to tear our hearts apart is beyond comprehensible. Bravo, another work spectacularly done.

Micah is getting his life together after being in foster care and then homeless. He's been brought under the mighty wing of Zane and things are going good but he can't forget the girl who once saved his life. Suddenly there she is, he sees her across the street every day.
Ev is trying to get a handle on her life and do what SHE wants instead of what her parents and brother want. Making things more difficult is her ver very ex-boyfriend Blake.
When Micah and Ev find their way to each other things get pretty steamy and it's adorable insta-love. There's drama, passion and a great introduction to this spin off series.
They're young so this is a HFN vs a HEA (can't win them 'um all right?) but you're left with a very good sense that the two will remain inseparable for years to come.

I read "Caveman" by Ms. Raven, and I was hooked!!! I immediately went to the store and ordered all her Inked Brotherhood and Damaged Control books. I love her writing!! You will fall in love with the damaged bad boys. Their stories will break your heart and make you cry. You will cheer for the women that love and protect them. When I finished both series, I purchased "Storm." As with her other books, I totally enjoyed the story. "Storm" is different from the other bad boys. He's rich, not a member of a club, but has a lot more sex.......but hey, I'm definitely not complaining.........it was freaking hot!!! I can't wait to start reading "Hawk." I'm glad I found Jo Raven!!!!

Jo Raven writes a book of humanitarian, of love, of second chances. There’s sweetness and sexiness, there’s grit and anger, most importantly there’s a storyline that will suck you in. Meet the 1st man of Damage Control, Micah and his angel, Evangeline – Ev.

This story may have your hot, inked man but there’s so much more to the story than just the sex. The selflessness that is portrayed by Ev is sweet, charming and allows you to fall in love with her the minute you find out what her plan in life is. Micah’s story is heart wrenching just because his story is anything but normal; he was definitely dealt the short end of the stick in life. I think the reason I fell in love with this book was because of all the love Ev had in her heart and how she wanted to help those less fortunate, the mystery that kept me glued to my kindle and the ending that made me jump for joy. There's just enough to keep you reading without leaving anything out. I was able to finish this book in a day and loved every minute of it!!

I read this as a bonus story in an arc of Caveman. This is the story of young hottie Micah, once homeless, alone. Things got so bad he nearly died but was saved by an angel. Well she looked like an angel....Evangeline. She loved helping people, homeless people, even though she paid a price for it. Now Micah is working at a tattoo parlour and spots Evangeline. He can't believe it. What evolves is two people drawn to one another...fate maybe but he remembers who she is. A story of drama, passion, violence, secrets and so much more. It was very emotional but worth reading. Loved it

Jo Raven brings us the story of Micah and Ev; fate brings them together again after one brief encounter. This is a story of love, hope and trust.

Micah Owens, Tattoo Artist. Micah is working on putting his life back together after having a rough start in life. He remembers an angel that saved his life. His nightmares and demons haunt him. I love that Micah is a good guy with a beautiful heart; even though he was dealt a rough life.

Evangeline is trying to make a stand for herself away from her overprotective family. She is strong and has a good heart. Her desire is to help the homeless; something her family is not happy about.

The villain, Blake; the ex-boyfriend, that hasn't gotten the memo. He casts a shadow in Micah and Ev’s relationship.

Micah and Ev’s relationship develops with ease; the chemistry between them is off the chart. The storyline flows smoothly and pulls you in from the start.

Again another beautiful story. I really love all this characters from Inked and Damage books. I guess I like all this guy's for there hard lives and struggles and how vulnerable they are especially when they fall in love. Micah and Eve another great couple put together. I like how Jo Raven finds this girls to be the perfect match for each guy.

I also like how in this story the act of kindness towards homeless people is brought up. How Eve goes out of her way to help and see them as human beings, also the awareness of the troublesome system of foster care. Is so sad to hear all this horrific details and stories which are true and go on as we speak.

I like Jo Raven books not just because there hot and steamy but also for the topics that make you self aware .

Ev ans Micah were the perfect couple to begin the newest Inked series. So glad to see the next generation, as it were, starting off with such a bang IP couple. Ev just wants to use her big heart to help people. She has a burning desire to help the disenfranchised and downtrodden of Madison and her folks and brother just don't understand. After an accident leaves her with a limp, they us this as the perfect excuse to keep Ev from doing what she really loves and helping those in need. Micah quite literally owes his life to Ev, he found him sick and alone on the streets and git him help when he needed it. He never got the chance to say Thank-you and now that he has run in to her again and sparks have flown he doesn't want to ruin it by telling Ev he was the homeless kid she once saved. But secrets and lies are dangerous and threaten to tear them apart.

My anticipation for this book was long awaited, after reading the Ink Brotherhood series, I was like a little girl at Christmas when this was available.

I love Micah and Ev's story how they have been entwined right from the beginning without even realising, it is a book that truly gives you the serendipity feeling.

To see how they are both carving their own path's as strong individuals after their individual health scares to now carve a path together as a strong indestructible couple. For Ev to show her family that her good side and golden heart is not something to be ashamed of and that with perseverance you can have all that you want.

I enjoyed seeing the ink brotherhood boys drop in and make an appearance and to be introduced to the damaged control boys, this series will do the same as the brotherhood, it is going to leave you breathless and wanting for me,

Jo Raven has done it again, another beautiful story with enough hard/rough and soft/sexy to melt your heart and keep you enthralled and waiting for the next one!

The two main characters are young (Micah 20/ Ev 19) and so opposite in their upbringing, but they have a connection...and a past.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. I love that they both "see" others and don't look through them. I knew the miscommunication would become an issue for the couple, but with their ages it was to be expected.

I'll definitely read more of the series.

Another remarkable book by Jo Raven. her sense of imagination has no bounds with the alpha men in the inked brotherhood.
Micah, a remarkable, strong and vulnerable, escapes his horrid past with help from Zane...im sure you all remember him. But there was this one person who saved him from imminent death while sleeping rough...but can he find the courage to speak to her? is it the same fascinating woman who helped him at his weakest? to find out, just read his story.

highly recommended!

First of all I would like to say that, just knowing it's a Jo Raven book, I don't need to read the excerpt just to know whether or not the book is a good read. If it's a Jo Raven's book, IT IS A MUST GRAB and A MUST READ!!!

Second, if you have read the Inked Brotherhood Series, I am sure that you will also love this new series *Damaged Control*

Third, this book is a good read. Words well used, given me clear visuals of everything. I like how the author played with the characters of Micah and Evangeline. I like the concept and plotting. Oh god, their story is filled with hope, love and compassion. I adore Micah for his love and softness to Eve. And I was amazed how strong Eve was cos she fought for her heart's desire, she was so compassionate of helping the needy and make a difference to this nasty world! They are from the very beginning the perfect match! They were so connected and meant to be.. The turn and twist in this story is something to watch for..

Lastly, Ohhhhhh so ohhhhhhhh...Jo Raven did it again!!! Congrats!!! Cant wait for the rest of the damaged boys to arrived!!! XOXO

This was my first book by this author and Jo did not disappoint. I will be honest and say I wasn't to sure by just looking at the cover but I'm glad I open the pages.
Micah was left in the streets with no where to go and no one to help him. That was untill Ev showed up and saved his life, little did he know she was injured doing so. Time passes and Micah thinks he has found his life saving Angel. Will he be able to reveal himself when he realizes she's hiding from someone or something and wants no part of the street life?
This book just shows there are still people out there who still care and will help. And Jo dosent skip on the heat between characters

While this is a spin-off of the Inked Brotherhood series, I feel that it is a good story that helps us get to know more about the Damage Control Boyz. The story has so many good elements, but I do feel that it lacks the depth of the previous series--both in the plot and the characters. It just seemed that there was so much in Micah's background, and barely any of it was dealt with. Perhaps more will come of that in future books in this series. I still enjoyed it, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Holy freaking hotness!!!!

I loved this book, I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for an honest review and my god was it good!

Micah is one hell of a hot man, yes life has dealt him a s*** hand and the one girl who saved his life he has been searching for.

Ev loves to look after those who are unfortunate to her, she has a heart of gold. The last homeless person she looked after she got in an accident herself and never knew what happened to him.

Micah works at damage control tattoo studio where you see appearances from Asher and Rafe from the Inked Brotherhood series.

All these boys have been through hell, and are as close as any family can be.

Brilliant new series to come and I can't wait to read more about the boys and how they overcome all obstacles.

I literally jumped to review this book because well.. it's Jo Raven and one of her boys!! Micah is the first book in the Damage Control series and he is one of the guys that work at the tattoo shop.
This book wrecked me and built me up again! Micah has been through the wringer.is past was not the best, so filled with pain and he thinks he's alone in the world. He had a guardian angel that looked out for him who he thought was lost to him.
Ev on the other hand thinks that she has somehow failed him in a way. Will the find each other after all this time, will Micah speak hiss truth.
I loved Micah...all the heartbreak, the pain, betrayal and the love. He is a great hero sexy, sensitive, somewhat fragile yet strong. Ev is a kickass character! Strong, kind, and to stubborn to take no for an answer.
Like all Ms. Ravens work it is well written with a great story. I totally recommend reading the Ink Brotherhood series along with Micah. It will give you the whole back story on the guys and they are great reads.
Looking forward to reading more of the Damaged Control guys!

This book was an interesting twist to the inked brothhood series. No you don't need to read them in order to understand the book, but it would help to understand the other people in the book. Micah and Evengeline were unique characters. Both people had good back storys that created a great joint story of wills. Both in love with the other but afraid to say something. This book was a little more interesting than the others because Ev had more of an issue that the other girls in the inked brotherhood series. I liked that there wasn't one perfect girl and damaged guy. The dynamic of both worked out great for the way that Jo wrote the story between the two.
Again, another good story by Jo and can't wait for the rest.
Thank you

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book 1 in Jo's new Damage Control Series which is a spinoff of the Inked Brotherhood Series. This book drew me in right from the beginning. I loved Micah and Ev's story. Jo has a way of writing about her characters that makes you care about them so much. Micah is damaged and has had such a rough life, but with the help of all they guys at Damage Control and Ev he begins to heal and find happiness. This was a great read and I look forward to the next book in the series. You should definitely read the Inked Brotherhood series as well if you haven't yet.

Loved Micah. This story is going to have your heart breaking for Micah. He never knew his parents and grew up in horrible foster homes. He ends up on the streets and deathly ill. Ev a young woman who has a passion for helping the homeless realizes how sick he is and calls for help. Fate steps in and Ev has an accident causing her own set of tragic problems and they do not cross paths again for months. Micah can’t get the angel out of his head who saved him. Ev thinks this entire time he has died. They see each other again and the story unfolds and you will not be able to put this book down!

I really enjoyed this book. I finished it within couple of hours. I think my only problem with the book was it feel flat at the end. Don't get me won't I absolutely loved the characters, but I just wanted to find out more about Evangeline. It's great she has Micah and finally moved out, but did she start doing what she wanted to do?

I loved her Inked Brotherhood Series and for me, this series is just a continuation---of my love for the characters who cross over and the new characters that are brought in.
I love how the characters are "made real". I feel like I know them and that they could actually be one of my neighbors.
The stories are written so well that you feel for the characters--both happy and sad. You just ride the roller coaster along with the characters.
I can't wait to read about the rest of the Damage boys. Seth? Shane? Who will be next?

Jo Raven managed to do it again, if the men of Inked Brotherhood weren't enough to drive you crazy, now Jo brings the men of Damage Control. Micah is another survivor with another heartbreaking background. Evangeline is the angel who maybe be able to save him from it all. Another amazing love story, with heartbreak, crazy ex boyfriends, and family who stands in the way of their happiness. This story was great, Jo really knows how to get you involved into the stories of these characters. I really can't wait to read about the rest of the guys

Jo Raven has done it again! Another amazing, gripping, awe inspiring book. I wish I could give more stars.

This series focuses on the employees of Damage Control, the ‘Damaged Boyz’ who we briefly met in Raven’s Inked Brotherhood Series. I am so glad Raven decided to tell their stories as well – they kept popping up briefly in Asher, Tyler and Zane and I wanted to know more about them!

Life has dealt both Micah and Evangeline a tough hand, Micah more physically brutal and Ev’s emotional and together they might just be able to improve their circumstance. They are both survivors in their own ways and this story of self-worth.

Micah is AMAZING! I loved his soft and gentle side and his incredibly sexy alpha side. Evangeline is a strong, kind hearted girl willing to help anyone in need. She is strong and stubborn! Almost too stubborn but I’ll let her off because she thought that what she was doing would protect others. I loved Raven’s characterisation, she has created amazing and completely believable characters.

This book took me on a whirlwind of a rollercoaster of a ride, I laughed, cried, hugged my kindle everything! I couldn’t stop reading this book until I was finished, sleep be damned! This book does not disappoint, I urge you to read it!

5 BIG STARS! I loved Micah, it was easy to read and had a great pace! It defiantly didn't disappoint. I fell in love with Micah and Ev, just like I have fell in love with all the Inked Brotherhood. The story line had me hooked. It's an amazing start to the series! Can't wait for Jesse's book to come out next! I highly recommend, you wont be disappointed!

HOT! PHENOMENAL! A MUST READ!!!!

Micah is just one of the boys one MUST meet and dammit if the man doesn't disappoint. From the beginning you fall for Micah. Hell, I was posting that he was mine and I was going to fight anyone that wanted him.

Is it her or isn't it her? Yes, it is how can he forget her!!! She saved him! Ev is the girl with the big heart that loves everyone. She is out to save everyone that is invisible to most. In her struggle of does she continue to do her humanitarian work or just focus on her life she meets Micah.

The connection between Micah and Ev is instant. No denying that they belong together, the love that develops between them is on that is real and true. But will it last? Will they stay together or will others stand in their way? Will Micah's revelation scare Ev or draw her closer to him?

Jo Raven has done it again. An amazing story of two people that deserve love. Can't wait to see what Jo gives us next

I really did enjoy this first book in Jo's spin off inked brotherhood series. As with all her books you get drawn into the story and Micah was no disappointment. I loved reading about their pasts and how they became they way they were. You get that engrossed in their story that you feel sad for them when they are hurting and happy for them when they finally find their way. I struggled to put this down so as you can imagine it didn't take me long to read ☺️

Jo raven is a new author to me and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed reading this book.I can't wait to get to grips with the other Damage Boyz.
Micah and Ev are a fantastic duo and you won't want to put their story down.
This book had me gripped throughout the story and I loved all the plot twists.
I can't wait to read Jesse book 2 in the series.

Micah is set in the same world as the Inked Brotherhood. Zane likes to help boys that have had a tough life and give them someplace to fit in. Micah is one such boy. He was dying on the street when Evie saves his life. Now Micah wants to thank her and maybe something more. Will he get the girl or will her past keep them apart. This is a great new series by Jo Raven. I can't wait until the rest of the series is released.

I L-o-v-e-d this book. Seriously this is one of the best books I've ever read. There's one but... It was way too short!! I started it... and BOOM I was done. :(( So sad. I wish this book would have been longer. But I'm definitely excited for the next book in the series. I read the other books about Zane and Asher ( the inked Brotherhood ) and they were awesome. So I decided to buy this book. Best decision ever!

I really love this series - I have read them all.

I like tattooed bad boys although these aren't so much bad boys but do have a past which is where the story comes in. I think the mix between the romance and the story behind the man is balanced fairly well and I enjoy that you see the couples from the previous books in the book you are reading ... like their lives are going on instead of barely seeing them.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

The sequelto the Inked Brotherhood series starts really good. I love how Jo Raven is always able to bring new characters and character treats in the plot without repeating herself, even though the setting is almost the same: Tattooed (bad) boy meets girl (who is more or less good).

I really loved to meet old characters again and get to know new ones as well. Great job!

- I loved this book. Great Story! Sweet and youthful, these 2 have lived through so much in their young lives and trust is something in very short supply for Micah but Evangeline may be the one to change that if she doesn't get him killed first.

Micah and Ev have a great story. They have a past and only one remembers but that doesn't stop them from falling in love. There is all sorts of hot scenes but ones that make you want to scream at them. Great job with this book. Loved it and can't wait for Jesse.

This story was truly a heartbreaking and heart mending story. I love how Micha made his love stronger and through his strength she was able to find herself. With her help Micha was able to pull himself together though for a moment I was holding my breathe. To just see these to wonderful strong people come together with themselves and friends to have this amazing bond and unwavering faith. Jo has done it again by breaking out hearts and sewing it back with another damaged boy in the threading. ❤️❤️

***Received in return for an honest review***

XOXO

Please RateMicah (Damage Control 1): Inked Boys
