I was looking for something a little different from the typical dystopian fiction I've been reading lately, and this was it. It's a great change to read something that leans towards science fiction but has a plot and characters that I can really enjoy and follow. I'm anxiously awaiting the second book!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was a very different concept, a very original idea with a lot of twists and very thought out characters and backgrounds.
I did notice several grammar errors or typos which were only mildly annoying. I finished this book quite fast, it was hard to put down, which only made me procrastinate on chores and some tasks I needed to get to lol, totally worth it. I cant wait for the next one!!!

I was assigned this book for my summer reading list for a college course, I expected the book to be boring...It was not !! I read it in about 6 hours because it was that intriguing. I recommend this book to any young adult.

This book has an intriguing premise that captured my interest immediately. The characters are well rounded and believable and the plot pulls you in and holds you hostage.
After I finished the book I found myself wondering what the characters were up to, can't wait to read the next one!

I liked reading this but kept getting confused as to which characters mind I was "inside" considering I had to keep pausing to keep an I on my daughter. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this :)

Concept for this book really piqued my interest and is interesting and original.

What I found really distracting was the 'teen speak', constant references to hormones/cleaving, and the mostly shallow characterisation.

What this book needed was more emotional depth. Sure it's YA fiction but ultimately the relationships between characters really weren't explored enough and the reader is just expected to accept them on face value.

If there was less meaningless teen drama, the characters could have had a chance to better explore their feelings through more meaningful and thoughtful inner monologues which would have created the richness the story was crying out for.

Overall, an ok read, but not up there with other Dystopian greats like Hunger Games, Divergent or Starters.

I read the first book and it was interesting enough to have me buy the second book, but I didn't love it. This book starting very promising and I started out hooked. I am about 40% done with this book, but am really tired of being in the present, then going back to the past in every chapter. It's become so annoying, I am not sure I can even finish this book. I am an avid reader and love these types of stories, but this one is just getting too bothersome to continue. Think I am going to bag this series and look for another one.

This book is absolutely amazing. I was hooked by the first chapter. Getting to read the thoughts and feelings of all three characters the way the author did it was riveting. Definitely a new favorite, and will probably read again and again and again. Cannot wait for the second book!

I enjoyed reading this book. It's a great summer read. The setting is creative, and the plot is intriguing. I just wish every YA book didn't feel the need to stuff a love triangle in the story, but at least the author made it relevant to the main plot instead of just an annoying side thing.

I enjoyed Daynight because from the first page I was pulled into the story. The descriptions of the characters and the enviroment made me feel like I was watching a movie as I read Daynight. I look forward to more books from Megan Thomason that will carry on the adventure.

This is a very thought provoking read with a well formulated plot and amazing character development. After the first few chapters I couldn't put it down. Anxiously waiting for the sequel. As a fan of this genre this is now a new favorite.

Amazing read! I was absolutely glued to this story. What an Incredible world Megan has invited us into with this book. Diverse characters, twisted world and government, gripping action and beautiful yet cliff hanging ending!

Interesting story. Depth in characters. Is Thera purposely the word Earth, mixed up? I was always looking for an explanation for that name. For the most part I enjoyed this, but I had some trouble with the killing of Kiras family and it didn't seem to bother her or effect her like it should have. Overall definitely worth the read.

There was something about this book that kept me reading until the very end, but it was hard to get through. A lot of it didn't make sense to me. I am curious as to what happens next, but I'm afaid that it would be a whole lot of words to tell a little story.

The story was mildly interesting and I kept hoping it would get better. It didn't. I can only hear so many times how good looking someone is, much less TWO guys, before I start to realize that there is zero substance to the story. Don't get me started on the constant 'cleaving' talk (aka having sex and then being partnered for life... Soooo irritating.. ). I couldn't even finish the book.

Interesting story idea, but it moved a little slow for me. I also am a little played out on the love triangles in nearly every YA story now... a little less focus on " who should she love" and more on moving the story forward would have made for a much better read IMO.

What a find! Daynight is strangely brilliant and imaginative. I loved how the author rotated each chapter through the main character's unique perspective. I appreciated Kira and the unconventional conundrums she was faced with. I expect it will be compared to the Hunger Games because of the ingenious concept and essential teen romance. Seldom do I find a book that captivates from the first moment to the final chapter, but this unquestionably did! I love being made to think outside the box and this was a journey well worth traveling! I hope the author continues to captivate us with future pursuits.
