This was purchased used but in very good condition and it really was. Came as good as new in box. All volumes in very good condition. The stories grab you right away and it becomes very addicting reading. Love it !....Will more than likely by the next set.

My daughter loves this series. The characters are well-developed, the story lines well-plotted, and the themes of courage in the face of adversity, loyalty to family, ethical behavior and moral fiber are just the sort of thing all young adults should be thinking of.

My daughter was telling me about this books months before i decided to buy them, but when i finally decided to grant her wishes i didn't waste any time. I knew it will make her happy and entertained for a long time.
As i said in the title ... excellent choice for keeping the kid entertained for weeks, or rather days because when they dig in they will not stop until finished.
Even now after long time after the books are read i sometimes get a report of events from the books. Just in case i forgot how good these books are. :-)
And we are not native English speakers :-)

Erin Hunter deserves a lot of credit for these short and truly captivating stories, about cats living in the wild! I highly recommend for young readers, teens, tweens, and adults who, like me, love fun and charming stories!

It came in perfect condition! I love these books and I decided to order mine instead of going to the library. Worth the buy (but keep in mind that they are five book sets to these and also many bonus books.) I do plan to get them all.

I rate this product 5 stars because the quality of the books is great. It is definatly worth the money, (consider the 6 books) and the time it takes to order them. They aren't that cheap paperback printing that falls apart the first time it gets read. About the writing itself, it is very creative. The descriptive details enhance the story. The plot, setting, characters, problem, and the solution are well thought out. If I should say, there are many mini problems throughout the story. Each individual book is just the right length for a 9-12 year old to read. They average around 300 pages. The service was great. I got them a day before the expected delivery date. The price of these on the store is way cheaper than what you would find in a bookstore. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys fantasy or creative storytelling.

Entertaining and engaging, and lots of them. Our active young reader becomes engrossed to the point of oblivion, and far better he is lost in a book than in electronic iPioids.

I have read a few chapters with him, and in my opinion Harry Potter (which he also loved and read non-stop) has more literary merit than Warriors-- more artful use of language, imagery, plot. Vocabulary, grammar, and overall "reading level" is definitely a bit lighter in Warriors than Potter. In fact I used to joke when he started the first book, "The book is written in English but you know they're really just saying 'Meow meow meow meow'," to the kids great annoyance.

But my opinion really doesn't matter, the main point is kids, MY kids, LOVE Warriors, and they will read and read and read. It may not send anyone running to the OED, but there's still plenty to help a young reader (and maybe some young budding writers) develop. And to Warrior's advantage, there are ALOT of books in the series, so as quickly as the kids devour them we can toss them more, and keep them reading. I expect this box set to be consumed in short order, and I have given relatives the heads-up about what to get for the Holidays. "Erin Hunter" is practically the Nicolas Bourbaki of youth literature, and I hope that the publisher can keep the series going.

PS The series has been translated over the world, and some international editions have nice "extras". For example, the Taiwanese edition has short "manga" style Warrior comics between some chapters. Would be nice to see something similar in English special editions.
