Books 1-4 (Marked / Betrayed / Chosen / Untamed) - House of Night

My 18 year old daughter LOVES the series. Bought them asw a Christmas give along with one other book and she finished them last night. Has been reading non-stop since Christmas and mind you she does not like to read. She says the books are funny and entertaining. Some content may be somewhat offensive to some people. Hummm...wondering why books do not have a rating like movies/TV etc. Just a thought!

"Enjoyable for all ages" is definitely an overstatement. I am 100 pages into "Marked" and am debating whether to press on. Just about every other page is another painful remark from the main character about how only "slutty" girls wear that much eyeliner and how "cool" a piece of clothing is. The book is, so far, full of bad cliches about what it means to be an "offbeat" teen. Unless there is some dramatic change in the next 200 pages, I would have to give "Marked" 2 stars and attempt to give away the rest of the set to some unwitting tween.

The books were entertaining and easy to follow even though in a series, and made me want to continue with more of the series and other books written by her. Am going to share them with a couple friends that also enjoy this type of book.

I'm an adult reading this embarrassing enough as that is. But putting that aside..this series has kept me intrigued enough to read the first four books and I will continue to the fifth which I believe didn't have as good of reviews. But I will judge that for myself because I have to know how this story continues. I love series books because they last longer ;)but so far loving the characters ..I am surprised by the darkness and maturity in some ways but in others it's prob just where it should be for young adults .

Totally addicted!! Different than both True Blood and Twilight, which seemed to make me more addicted. Started the series and couldn't put it down!! If you are looking for something quick and entertaining and like the vampire tales this is it!
