This book has given a metaphorical weight set to my brain. I had been slogging along like a zombie not realizing my life could be so much better with just a few conscious mental tweaks and improvements. Thank you to everyone involved in getting this book written and published. My life and mood are so much better now that I've put these methods into practice.

This book provides some ideas to think about and some suggestions on how to apply these to your life. I found the ideas to be a real relevation and the "how to" sections to be easy to try. The suggestions in this book have made a positive difference to my thinking and therefore my life.

I am still reading through this book, however I already feel more positive about myself and my personal problems. This book clearly sets forth the necessity of loving and caring for oneself, and for forgiving oneself. Good advice!

I would recommend this book to anyone who well....wants to make a change to their day to day habits. He spells everything out in "plain English" and has such useful exercises for the mind that definitely help in making improvements. This book is wonderful hence the five stars!

This book is a wonderful guide to regaining compassion for yourself and helps set you free of the old tapes we have in our brain that belittle us and are unkind. It's a must for anyone journeying through self healing.

Excellent guidelines for life, feelings and attitude here. Less easy to do as I read, so I need to dip back into it to refresh and remind myself. It's easy to read though and always provides great insights.

A marvelous book about how we can become more true to ourselves, more understanding of who we are and in doing so, become better at nurturing relationships - including the with ourselves of course. A must read and practice!

Easy to understand, simple no nonsense steps to living. I bought both the book and the MP3 disk. have not read the book, I listen to the disk while driving. Forth time. I get something new each time.

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is "to love", not just our friends, families and others, but also to love ourselves. Rick Hanson's intelligent, practical book helps you to learn to love yourself and live your life with purpose. What greater gift can we give the world? If there is just one thing I suggest reading for intelligent, down to earth wisdom about living life to it's fullest - with the added foundation of neuropsychology at it's root - it would be this book.

It is amazing how changing just one thing can change your whole outlook on life.
I appreciate the thought that was put into this book.
Good, clean thinking. I have been using the practices from this book and plan to do so in the future.
I want as much positivity running through my head as possible.

I should be getting a commission or the many copies of this book that I have sent to friends.
Just kidding but this is the book that I want to hand to everyone I know. It's the most important new step in understanding how our minds and brains work. And it's concrete, practical and very helpful
It explains so much that has confused me about the way my mind works, namely the brains bias towards negative experiences.
The practical exercises are wonderful ways to begin my day. This is a paradigm shift of the first order.

So, I decided to gather a few friends and improve our lives. We're doing 52 weeks of positive and powerful thinking. I'm excited about this book and the potential it has to impact my life in a wonderfully uplifting way.
