I love Christine Feehan and have almost all her books. I was looking forward to this book and as soon as it came I put everything aside and started reading it. This was not all about sex although it was in it but it did have a lot of action, which was great. I liked seeing Alonzo and Evangeline's relationship slowly come together. Evangeline seemed so quiet and shy in the beginning but boy did she come out of her shell and then Alonzo could not hold her down to protect her. I loved how she stood her ground and did what she had to do. I loved this book so much that after I read it I had to read it again! Ha I just love all Christine Feehans books!! But this one just go to me. Read it....you'll see what I mean!

Well Christine Feehan has done it again. Leopard's Fury is a good story with all my favorite characters. This series keeps getting better. Leopard's Fury picks up at the end of Wild Cat. This is Alonzo and Evangeline's story and its a beautiful story to watch these two come together. Christine introduced some new characters as well ,Russian leopards have my undivided attention they are all alphas, extremely dangerous and sexy . I hope Gorya, Sevastyan ,Mitya, Timur and Josh get their own stories.
If you haven't read the Leopard's Fury I suggest you give it a try. I would suggest reading the entire series. If you like Paranormal and shifter romance this series is for you.

I have purchased at least 30 of Feehan's books, but was extremely disappointed in her last two Mafia gangster books. Hero falls in love with h (who has a coffee and pastry shop) because "she calms his vicious, mean killer shifter Panther". One day, three crime families have a big meeting in that very same coffee shop… Because mafia gangsters always love to meet in coffee shops - in shopping malls - during the day - in public ... right! Later, there's a shootout and she saves him. He's Russian, but passes for Italian. And he's got icy eyes. That is repeated dozens of times...really. And, ok, I like dominance and control, but this goes way, way over the top. I actually read the whole book in less than an hour because I skipped so much. Get back to the Carpathians - this Mafia stuff stinks.
Water Bound (A Sea Haven Novel) :: Judgment Road (Torpedo Ink) :: Dark Storm (Carpathian Novel, A) :: A Carpathian Reunion (The Carpathians (Dark) Series :: Dark Desire: A Carpathian Novel (Dark Series)

I love the Leopard People books and liked this one very much BUT it didn't grab me like the others. Alonso/Fyodor was an alpha male and he was patient with Evangeline but the whole Russian mafia connection didn't do it for me. I get that the book was set in San Antonio in a modern city and that the leopards were trying to stop a bad guy's mob. I even liked the connection with Jake and Drake and Eli and Elijah and their mates BUT it still fell flat for me. Finally, the sex got involved and that did seem similar to the earlier books although even then it didn't seem to have the heat of Books 3, Jake & Emma, or Book 7 Cat's Lair. I just didn't get as invested in this book although I did rush to finish it and did find it a very good read. Feehan is a superb author and her writing is too good not to enjoy the story. I was just disappointed that I didn't feel the rush like I did in the earlier books. Perhaps it is because I prefer the rain forest and swamp but my all time favorite is Jake & Emma and I keep the 'best' sections marked for when my libido needs a boost. Alonso & Evangeline didn't have that many 'best' sections. All in all, it is a good story and I recommend it but would think that to truly get the story the reader must read the first eight books.

I love shifter books. So, despite that fact that this is the 9th book in this series, I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the other book I've read by this author and it, too, was a book I picked up mid-series. I wasn't disappointed.

It was clear that there is a lot going on in this series but the parts I needed to understand to get this story were very clear. It's a complex world with shifter that are just a little different than other shifter books I've read. The human side and the animal side of these shifter are very much separate and they have a relationship with each other. Most shifter books I've read are either a combined version of the human and animal or not really a part of each other. So that aspect was interesting to me. And it was Evangeline's cat that made things very interesting.

An absorbing world where shifters living among humans and are big part of the crime circuit. These shifters grew up hard and while they were certainly not good, they were trying to make things better. They killed in the name of keeping illegal guns from leaving the country to add to someones war. I actually like those kinds of bad guys.

The characters are certainly interesting. Evangeline grew up in a way that I can't even begin to wrap my head around. Her cat kept her sane and alive. And then you have Alonzo. His upbringing was horrifying to say the very least and the effect on his cat was brutal. He gets no peace from him unless he is with Evangeline. I find them both endearing and I certainly cheered for them.

The writing style used in this book is not one of my favorites. It's written in third person and I often struggle with that type of writing as it's hard to make those connections with the characters. However, this author does a good job of working each main characters point of view into the novel so that I did feel connected. It's not my favorite but it was effective here.

The story started with a very interesting relationship developing between Evangeline and Alonzo. Months go by as they see each other without even talking to each other much but the relationship is there. And it's a strong one. I wondered what each new visit would add to things. And when the book burst out of this relationship, I was hanging on trying to keep up. It was a different kind of scheme that I really enjoyed.

This book has a rich world that can spawn lots of great stories, complete characters that I cared about and a story that I enjoyed. If shifters are your thing, then check this author out.

It been quite some time since I read anything by Christine Feehan and I really don't know why. Her stories are amazing and I always have a hard time putting them down. Maybe that's the reason why. So many sleepless nights just trying to squeeze in one more chapter. That's exactly what happened when I read Leopard's Fury. I just couldn't put this book down.

If you don't fall instantly in love with the heroine in Leopard's Fury then you are crazy because Evangeline is incredible. She had a harsh upbringing and despite it all she still sweet and caring. That doesn't make her a pushover, far from it. She has managed to take care of herself and fulfill her goal of owning her own bakery. The last thing she wants in her life is another brutal shifter. She escaped that life and never wants to go back to it again. Alonzo also had a harsh ugly childhood, which has made his Amur leopard (I looked them up. They are incredibly beautiful and extremely rare) feral and difficult to control. The moment he steps into her bakery, his leopard instantly calms down. He knows better than to get involved with her but he can't stay away.

Action, intrigue and romance make this a wonderful read. I’m loving all the mated characters in the story that I’m guessing have their own previous books. Then there are the unmated guys that, even though they are supposed to be scary deadly, I still got a laugh out of some of their antics. Now as for Evangeline and Alonzo, love them! Despite them feeling a zing between each other, this was not an insta-love story. There’s a nice slow build-up from store owner/customer, to friends, to eventually mates. Okay so the mate-biting thing was not exactly all that romantic, but it sure was sexy! Both had harsh childhoods that will just rip your heart out but their romance more than makes up for it.

Between that awesome cover and that tempting blurb, I just knew I had to have Leopard’s Fury and OMG was it good! Ms. Feehan has giving me a wonderful reminder of how good her writing is and why I need to come back. Fans of hers are going to love this book.

I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine.

Alonzo Massi is a character we met in Wild Cat. So going into this one I knew to expect another dominant male that on the outside came across cold and unfeeling. In a lot of ways, he was a copy of Elijah, just with a harsher past. Evangeline we met back in Drake and Saria's book. She is the girl that raised herself in the swamp to get away from her cruel grandfather. She has one unique trait that most female leopards don't have, she and her leopard have been partners since she was a toddler trying to survive in the Louisiana swamps.  Alonzo and Evangeline have known each other for about a year. He came into her bakery one day and kept coming back, so we actually see from the periphery Siena's story and Alonzo's rise to boss. He tried to keep his distance but he couldn't; she calmed his leopard and him and that was a gift better than gold for him. She was attracted to him but because of his cold demeanor, she came to think it was one sided and starts to push away. The action was great, they didn't rush into the passion like some other Leopard books. A huge chunk of the story took place before they did the deed and in taking their time it made it more believable and less intense. I enjoyed their story, I liked her spunk and independent nature, I loved that he so easily portrayed how much she meant to him and how humbled he was to have the gift of her in his life. I also liked how she won over his brother and cousins and called them her "boys". She didn't just accept him, but his whole family and claimed them for herself. This one was good.

Evangeline Tregre is trying to leave her former life behind. She wants nothing to do with the Leopard’s of Louisiana. Evangeline is following her passion to San Antonio where she opened a bakery. She is satisfied to start her days early and end them late baking for her customers. However, she never counted on one of her customers disrupting her new quiet life.

Alonzo Massi is content to lead a life alone with his dangerous Amur Leopard. He is coming up in the San Antonio mob scene. The last thing Alonzo needs with the danger stalking closer is a woman. One look at Evangeline and Alonzo’s life is changed forever. He cannot run from the feelings she inspires. Can he romance her and protect her from his life?

Christine Feehan takes her readers on a fiery wild ride in Leopard’s Fury. I could not get enough of this story. I was addicted from page one! Evangeline and Alonzo set the pages ablaze with their intense forbidden attraction. Feehan’s characters are rich with provocative and poignant backstories. I’m not sure there are two characters more worthy of a happy ending than Evangeline and Alonzo. I became deeply attached to them both and could not wait for them to give in to the passion between them.

I cannot believe that Leopard’s Fury is the ninth book in Feehan’s Leopard’s series. It is not necessary to have read the previous novels to follow this one but it does make it much sweeter. I love when characters from past novels show up in new ones and this one is full of juicy stories from beloved Leopard series characters.

Leopard’s Fury is full of gritty suspense and romance. This one will keep you on your toes.

I listened to the audio version of this book.

This is the story of Alonzo and Evangeline. She is from a shifter lair that mistreated women so badly that her parents took her to the swamp and left her alone rather than have her grandfather find her. She grew up alone with only her inner leopard for company. She is fiercely independent and owns her own bakery. Alonzo is a a Russion leopard shifter who is masquerading as an Italian in order to conceal his continued existence, and that of his brother and cousin, from the remaining members of his murderous lair. He has joined forces with other enlightened shifter mob bosses to try to clean up some of the worst parts of the local mob.

When Alonzo first walks into Evangeline's bakery he does not realize that she is leopard. He only knows that the killer leopard inside of him is soothed around her and gives him some peace. Unfortunately his business is dangerous and he ends up dragging her into his world whether he wants to or not. Evangeline is strong, though, and she knows what she wants.

The only downside to listening to one of these books is that the repetitiveness of the prose is a lot more obvious. I just roll my eyes and soldier on. It is definitely a good diversion when I take my daily 4-mile walk. I will continue to listen and give my eyes the extra workout!

Christine Feehan’s Leopard series is about very alpha leopard shifter men who find their mates, and then through passion and danger convince those women that they can’t live without hem. Leopard’s Fury follows a similar theme. Alonzo grew up in a terrifyingly brutal crime family where women were used as breeders and, obviously, weren’t respected. To escape that life he had to do some very horrible things that shaped who he was as a man. In America, he becomes his own version of a crime boss (somewhat of a good guy) and lives in constant danger. He meets Evangeline and she instantly makes all of his inner turmoil go away. She calms his inner beast. Evangeline has her own brutal backstory, and has escaped her previous life to live pride free running her own bakery. When she meets Alonzo she is intrigued by his silent icy stare and secretly pines for him.

Christine Feehan is a very successful writer and this series has a huge following, but I’ll admit, it just wasn’t for me. Alonzo came into Evangeline’s bakery for a year and sat and stared at her four times a week. In my world, that would be called stalking. Which, I guess is kind of the point because they are both leopards, and well, cats stalk. But when reading about it, it was just kind of creepy. Other than the obvious, he was ripped, handsome, intense, and made her shiver with awareness, I couldn’t understand why she was attracted. I understood his attraction to her though. She was pretty, sweet, gentle, nice and funny. All things that were unique to him and made her an attractive mate.

The rest of the plot was pretty good, although for me, there was a bit too much sex. Very, umm, animalistic sex. Which, I guess is kind of the point, because they are, umm, animals. Kind of wild stuff though, so beware of the nature of the beast. ☺ ❤❤❤

The latest addition to the Leopard People series is classic Christine Feehan: alpha males, strong women, violence, passion, family, drama and a happily ever after.

Evangeline's childhood was terrible. She was neglected, tortured, terrified, but she survived. She's put herself back together, she's created a life she loves, doing something she loves. And then a man walks through her door and turns her life upside down. She's may be young and innocent but she's also fierce, determined, and protective.

Alonzo can't stay away from Evangeline. His leopard is difficult - scary difficult - but around sweet, innocent Evangeline he calms. I felt for Alonzo. His childhood was horrific, he's seen and done things that would break the strongest of people, but he survived. He's still got his demons, lives a dangerous life, and doesn't think he deserves a woman much less one like Evangeline and it's a battle to get him to give in.

I liked Alonzo and Evangeline. He goes all alpha male but she's not afraid to stand up to him, he cares and protects her like no one in her life ever had before. I also liked that Evangeline has always known about her leopard, that it was been her companion, her protector, even if they haven't always been in agreement. I loved Alonzo's relationship with his brother and cousins and how they brought Evangeline into the fold, teasing and bantering with her.

As always, when I reach the end of one of Christine Feehan's novels I'm eager for another.

Antonio, the Iceman and Evangeline. Antonio was not easy to get to know as soldier and guard to Siena. But, when all was said and done, I wanted Antonio's story. Antonio's story is at first love from afar, always watching, wanting, yet denying himself, believing himself undeserving of love, of Evangeline.

Evangeline, Bayou beauty, independent, reserved, free. She watched him, called him her Russian Iceman, and hoped he would want her. She knew what he was and was still afraid, but denying what she wanted was not easy.

Neither knows love, yet finds they cannot help but love the other. Loyalty runs deep for Antonio and his brother, cousins. Loyalty came in the blink of an eye when Evangeline did the unexpected, without hesitation. That single moment forever changed them. Evangeline "adopted" her boys, recognizing how much they mean to Antonio, and gave her a sense of family.

Watching Antonio's dominance bend and change with all of Evangeline's independence and sass, was a thing of beauty and source of amusement. Antonio and his leopard could never be happy without meeting his match in intelligence and strong will. The ultimate feels we're seeing how Evangeline melted into Antonio, giving him what he needs because he's so important to her, while Antonio softens and gives her everything, including himself.

Fire and ice. That's the best way to describe Antonio and Evangeline. Together they will butt heads, battle wills, explode into flames in bed and soften in the face of their love. So good.

I love, love, LOVED this book! LEOPARD’S FURY is a fast-paced paranormal romance/romantic suspense mix of a story full of intrigue, danger and steamy passion!

I loved Evangeline! She’s my favorite kind of heroine: kind, tough-as-nails, independent and fiercely loyal. Alonzo is the ultimate alpha hero: unbelievably strong, fierce, and very deadly. He’s also cold, not cruel, just shows no emotion. Ever. That’s because he’s constantly got to wrestle control from his leopard so the male doesn’t slip its leash and go on a killing spree. The only thing that calms Alonzo’s beast is a petite bakery shop owner with the kindest smile and most peaceful demeanor he’s ever encountered.

I could not put the book down! I was completely engaged in the story! Christine Feehan is in her element while penning this brilliant plot and developing all these wonderfully devious characters. Everyone’s got a secret. Everyone is trying to survive and NO ONE is safe! Romance, shifters, bad guys, worse guys, and a beautifully broken hero that knows his limitations and an amazing heroine who shatters them all.

Review: LEOPARD’S FURY (A Leopard Novel) by Christine Feehan
Publication Date: November 8, 2016

A hot sexy story about two leopards who have seen their share of childhood pain. Their dark and dangerous life also made the love story more beautiful, in how they were lucky enough to find each other. I got a little lost in the crime-boss and territory issues, but not enough to worry about. Despite Alonzo’s cool and dominating demeanor, I liked him. Evangeline was a complex character for a number of reasons, and that made some of her more frustrating actions, make sense. Constant action, danger and a super sexy romance made this an exciting read.

I could not put this book down. I loved the intense emotional pull that Alonzo felt for Evangeline. I also like that their relationship wasn't rushed. That it took time, he kept coming around because he couldn't resist being away from her and the peace and calm she brought to him. That she could look at him and realize he was a dangerous man but see something so much more in him, that she had to care about him, be there for him, but at the same time not lose herself to him. She could still be strong, sassy and bold. He could not totally dominate her because her will and nature were also strong. I loved her interaction with her leopard self Bebe, their bond is strong and forged from early childhood. They look out and protect each other. The trust and bond between them was amazing.

Then to watch the men close to him care for and feel protective of her too, of course that left me so very excited to see their stories unfold.

One of my favorite books in Christine's leopard series. You have everything you could look for, action, suspense, romance, (sensual and emotional), drama and even laughter. You cannot go wrong with this book or this series!

It's so hard to pick a favorite series of Christine Feehan's these days - they are just all so good! This is a great addition to the Leopard Series overall - and might actually be my second favorite (I don't think I can ever give up Jake's story as the numero uno). I truly loved the story between Evangeline (absolutely my favorite heroine name of all CF's heroine names to date) and Fyodor (aka Alonzo). I loved how the relationship between Evangeline and Fyodor grew over time (the book takes place over the course of more than a year). CF's writes seriously hot sex scenes (and the scenes in this story are no exception), but the story telling in this story was definitely the main event! This was an action-packed sequence that had me anxiously flipping to the next page! Getting a look into what is happening with all of the Leopard couples as well was a wonderful 'icing on the cake' component. I love seeing how this extended family is evolving and growing, and I can tell that CF has many more stories to tell us about the beloved leopards. I highly recommend this story - CF's story-telling is finding new life and getting better and better!

Are well-developed and engaging, the plot thickens, and the suspense is thickens as the book moves along. Evangeline melts Alonzo Rossi's ice-cold heart. I mean he was ice-cold at the beginning but Evangeline melted it with her sweet, tender ministrations and her sweet charms and of course her sweets from th bakery!!!!!!?????. the heroine and her leopard were amusing sometimes. I disliked that the writer had the heroine engaging in a sex act in front of company and I also disliked that the "sweet, innocent" heroine knowingly and willingly gave an alibi for her fiancee when she knew she was lying - very hard to accept a sweet, innocent lying to officers investigating multiple murder. So, I liked parts of it and disliked parts of it. I've read maybe half of the Leopard series so far and it's one of the better Leopard storylines...

What do you get when you put a hero, who suddenly finds himself with something he thought he'd never have or deserve, and a heroine, who doesn't want anything to do with it, together in a world created by a master story teller like Christine Feehan? You get a great read!

This story is a roller coaster showing the dangers not only of their crime family lifestyle, but the effects dysfunctional families can have. When Evangeline and Alonzo feel the attraction and desires drawing them together they fight it, find excuses to resist. But slowly, patiently, you see them knocking down the barriers that keep them from love. They come to grips with their pasts and how it influenced how they react to the world but doesn't define who they have to be. Ms. Feehan takes them on a slow journey of discovery as the bond between them builds, they learn to accept themselves and each other, that love is something that needs constant attention and compromise. It's not something that destroys and weakens but heals and strengthens. You find yourself in many frustrating want to shake them moments, (good alpha stories always do); many hold your breath, what's going to happen next, action packed moments; many teary-eyed revelations of their pasts and what could be their future moments; and many warm-hearted smiles when they finally "get it" moments.

Not only do these two characters grow throughout their journey, but so do many secondary characters in a way that does not detract from the main characters' story but enhances it. I love the side story of how family isn't always blood but people you bond with, who want you in their lives, accept you for who you are and are there for you in good times and bad. Cannot wait to see them, and many old friends from previous books, in future books in this series.

I really enjoyed reading this Leopard story. Allot of Christine's previous leopard novels were bordering on the really erotic side. I do enjoy romance and some erotic scenes in a story but not to the point we're that's all the story is about and a few of her leopard books were like that. I was very happy to read Leopards Fury because it had a actual storyline that I loved and couldn't put down. Really hope she continues writing the leopard Series like "Leopards Fury" because I was about ready to give up on this series. I'm happy so far that hasn't happened. Can't wait for the next Leopards Story!

It's been awhile since this series had a H that I loved. Alonzo was all that I wanted: a badass take charge H who fiercely loves the h. I also liked the h.

Something was missing from the story to make it a 5 star read but I'm not sure what. The action at the end wasn't fully developed. Sadly the Sex didn't happen until 62% into the story.

One of my favorites in the series. I've been re reading Burning Wild which I loved. I noticed a similar writing styles between the books. CF didn't use humor to gloss over feelings & emotional pain.

I have blasted her last few books and I am a great fan but the sex scenes over and over were becoming so tiresome. This one was the perfect blend and focused on telling a good story. I wish it had not ended so abruptly because I could seen a complication with either characters family discovering their location and showing up; however, that maybe for another publication. I feel there is more to the story but I sat up until wee hours of the morning to finish it and I have done that in a long time. Not great literature but great entertainment!

I enjoyed booked 9 in the series. It can also be read as a stand alone, so don't let series deter you. The women are strong and the men are dominant, which is to be expected with Christine Feehan books, but bottom line, what comes through is the women are the true strength and Evangeline was spectacular. I enjoyed her as a character and was so thrilled this book was not all about sex. It was loyalty, commitment, overcoming obstacles and still loving. Thank you Christine. You leave me waiting for Timor, Gorya and Mitya story!

I almost didn't read this book because the last few I read by this author had very little plot and sex scenes 30+ pages long as filler. The reason I didn't give it five stars is a pet peeve. One word with a period at the end is not a sentence. I suppose it's supposed to make a statement more emphatic. It. Does. Not. It just annoys and disrupts the flow of the narrative.

Master piece once again...please find the mates to Fyodor's brother and cousins...It would great to see how they would fall in the arms call LOVE.... :-)
Making sure Timur story be the next book in the series. For Timur gives the impression like their is no one for him. And it would be great to watch him subcum to the heart of a woman made just for him. And then follow with Mitya's story.

The leopard series can be some what hard reads with the very dominant, my way or the highway males, but as you watch each relationship grow and change you fall in love all over again with this series.
What do you get when you take a man who has never known love , and put him with a woman, who has had to hide all her life? Leopard's Fury brings together Alonzo and Evangeline, two of the most unlikely people to ever be together.
Alonzo came from a family and knew only violence and abuse, this was his life until the day he walked into Evangeline's bakery. As soon as he saw her, he felt a calm that he had never felt before, something about her called to him.
As soon as she saw him Evangeline knew what he was, the very thing she had escaped from, but there was something about him that still drew her to him. Evangeline had spent all her life hiding out from her family and her true nature but this one man drew her like no other ever had.

Evangeline lives life on her own terms. After her traumatic childhood, she’s finally in a place where she feels safe. She’s poured all of her energy into her small yet successful bakery and her hard work is starting to pay off.

Every other day, she’s visited by a customer that she thinks of as her “Iceman” because of his intense presence and hypnotic eyes. He makes her and her leopard feel things that they never have before. And not only is he a shifter – he’s also a feared criminal.

Fyodor Amurov changed his name to Alonzo Massi when he first came to America. He quickly made a name for himself as one of the most vicious and loyal soldiers in the crime world. Now he’s running his own empire.

His own Amur leopard has been barely contained by his steely self-control but when he’s in the presence of the sweet Evangeline, he experiences a calm that can only mean one thing – He’s finally found his true mate.

Claiming her as his own will put her in the crosshairs of every criminal that wants to take their revenge on him. He knows that he will be bringing her into a world that might never understand but there’s no way that he’s not going to possess her – all of her - body and soul.

It’s no secret that Christine Feehan is one of those authors that is always on our “Must Read” list and Leopard’s Fury is just another fabulous example of why!

With her usual mastery, Christine melds the absolutely perfect combination of off the charts sensual heat and nail biting tension to satisfy even the most voracious of erotic romance fans. The pace is swift and the characters are powerful making this book one that you will want to reread over and over again…

Wow, oh wow!! I was drawn in so fast, and couldn't put this one down! Stayed up all night to finish it! Christine Feehan can take any part of life and make it so real! Thrills, chills, mafia, love, and leopards! I loved the descriptions of some of the homes, making me able to see them in my mind, and almost feel myself with them in the trees and gardens. Can't wait for another book of hers to read!

Please, Ms. Feehan, please! You are a much better writer than this! Constant repetitions! I get that the H is a big, strong ,alpha ,frozen ,hard Leopard shifter that had a horrible upbringing. I got that at the very beginning, I didn't need it drilled into my brain every other page. I do enjoy the Leopard series but you are ruining it.

I love CF's worlds and writing, but the last couple of books in the Leopard Universe have taken a turn toward the mob, and I'm not liking that so much. Even though the leopards are trying to change the mob from within, they're still part of the underworld. That said, it looks like with this book, the universe is going to turn again and will be less on this aspect.

Wow! This is the first book in this series that I have read. I was half way through it and knew it was going into my re-read pile! I loved the build up of the story and the characters. The images seemed to leap off the page. And I love a smart mouth leading lady. Now i Have to track down the rest of the books in this series and read them. I also loved the conversations between the characters. If I could have called into work so I could stay home reading this book, I would have.

This book is finally Evangeline' s story and I am so happy she got her happy ending after the horrible childhood she had. And if any man needed a woman to call his own it is Alonzo, and she does so good for him. His whole family accepts her wholeheartedly and this book shows it in an amazing way. I'm not saying everything was easy but it was good!

I love all series. I can't wait until there is another book that puts some of them together. Maybe Sea Heaven. A Carpathian and Drake cousin or are you saving the cousins for the Torpedo Ink crew? There has to be more cousins with a few gifts.

Christine Feehan is a wonderful writer. I have read this whole series and each one could be read as a standalone. This one is about Evangeline who ran away from the bijou and Alonso who is in the mafia. They have their ups and downs along with traitors in their mix.

4.25 stars-- LEOPARD’S FURY is the ninth installment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary, adult LEOPARD SERIES paranormal, romance series focusing on the supernatural world of the Leopard shifter. This is baker Evangeline Tregre, and businessman and Mafia Don Alonzo Massi’s story line. LEOPOARD’S FURY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Several previous story line couples and characters play secondary and supporting roles including Jake and Emma, Eli and Cat, Elijah and Siena, Drake and Saria, as well as Joshua Tregre, Evangeline’s first cousin.

Told from several third person perspectives LEOPARD’S FURY focuses on Mafia Don Alonzo Mazzi’s need and draw towards baker Evangeline Tregre. For close to one year Alonzo has been drawn to Evangeline, visiting her bakery, ensuring her safety and making sure no other male comes close to the woman that calms the beast within. Alonzo knows that to begin a relationship with Evangeline Tregre could place our heroine in the direct line of fire when the illegal side of his business world seeks revenge. What ensues is Alonzo’s slow seduction of Evangline, and the search for the person responsible for the threats against Evangeline’s life.

Abandoned as a small child in the Louisiana swamps, Evangeline is a woman who left the Bayou in search of peace and an escape from a life of abuse and neglect. Alonzo’s backstory is heartbreaking and rife with death and destruction. Growing up in an abusive world set Alonzo’s leopard on a path of darkness and revenge. Our hero’s quiet demeanor hides a dark and lonely existence for a dangerous leopard shifter-baring his heart and his soul to Evangeline Tregre places Alonzo in a position to lose it all.

LEOPARD’S FURY is a passionate story line of fated mates. I am pleased that Christine Feehan has returned to her original style of romance writing without the need for copious amounts of graphic violence and abuse against women and children. The premise is entertaining, engrossing, and compelling; the characters are charismatic, spirited but flawed. We are introduced to several new Leopard shifters including Jeremiah Wheating as well as Alonzo’s brothers and cousins-Gorya, Timur and Mitya. The romance is sensual and seductive without the need for abusive power and control.

I can hear him say her name, Evangeline. It gave me shivers. She calls him her Russian Iceman. The chemistry is intense and immediate. This is an all engulfing story that had me cheering for the so-called bad guys and rooting for love

I just keep falling in love with her leaped series. I love how she interweaves the characters from the other books so that you continue to get not only updates of their lives but a sense of community as well.

I didn't get the trying to write in a southern accent...very weird! Sometimes the female character had a bad accent other times she didn't. I also don't remember such fowl language in other CF books between two characters that are allegedly in love with each other.

OMG! Christine Feehan is back and better than ever. Who needs television when you have this novel in your hands? It got me from the first word and kept me glued to the finish. I didn't need the drama of the Election Results, this had enough to keep me satisfied 100%. Hands down, one of her finest. A definite keeper.

I enjoyed this story by Christine Feehan as I have enjoyed be very thing she's written. However, I don't really care for all the erotica involved. She's a great story teller and her books would be just as intriguing without pages and pages of sexual descriptions.

I really liked this novel more than the other Leopard novels. I feel as if Feehan finally let her characters fall completely in love before sex so brutal most women would run. This heroine also has a bigger voice to me. She's not smothered by man.
