This is definitely the book that will help investors in penny stocks pick the right stock and make money. It is easy to read and it contains everything one should know before diving in the world of penny stocks. By following the well defined advice from Mr. Leeds, one can avoid costly mistakes and make his porfolio grow at a tremendous rate. Mr. Peter Leeds is considered the foremost authority in penny stocks in this country and probably in the world. He has lit my lantern on penny stocks with his books, newsletters, and articles. I feel this is the best $14 I ever spent on a penny stock book!

This book provides a wealth of information on Penny Stocks. I have actually been using it as a study guide as I am a total beginner. Peter Lynch is the man and I look forward to working with his organization.

Another Dummies book that gives real information to explain what needs explaining. The ed. I purchased has been followed now by a newer one. Since it is expanded and revised, I expect that would be even more germain for most people. This volume though is a couple bucks cheaper.

This book starts off with a lot of negativity towards penny stocks. When I started reading it I thought if this guy is so down on penny stocks, why did he write this book? Part 2 of the books shows you how to do your due diligence and how to trade. A little too much work for the average Joe investor, however. I don't have the time or the inclination to research the history of all the board members of a prospective company and all the other work that is evidently necessary. I estimate days of research to buy one stock. I suppose that is why penny stock newsletters are so popular. I read another book I purchased on the store and I liked "The Penny Stock Millionaire" by Dominic P. Giangregorio former Vice-President of Shearson-American Express. This book is positive about penny stocks with tons of examples of people who have made millions in the penny stock market. I recommend both books. One to get you interested in trading penny stocks and the other to show you how to do your due diligence. I am still looking for the perfect penny stock book, when I find it I will let you know. Peace and Love, Maggie

I read it through the library, then purchased it because I want to be able to use it as a reference. I'm giving it a "4" because I have not researched other techniques, this will be a learning curve and I expect this book is something I will refer back to.

This is an amazing resource for anyone with very limited capital wanting to jump head first into the world of stock market investing. Peter Leeds does a tremendous job illustrating the risks and rewards of penny stock investing. This book has shown me that with the right approach and attitude, penny stocks can be a vehicle to great financial success.

A great introduction for persons wanting to get in the stock market, but do not have much capital to lose and the world to gain. This book does a good job of breaking down the basics of penny stocks, the terminology and various strategies. I really got a bang for my buck on this one.

Many thanks to you for writing 'Penny Stocks For Dummies'. I am almost through the book and already it is by far the best explanation and summation I've read on this subject. I've read tons of books on day trading/pennies and I highly recommend your Dummies book to anyone wanting to learn the ins and outs of penny stocking. Especially your technical analysis chapter. Thank you again!

Author concisely and without embellishing it describes what you need to know if you decide to trade a small company. This book has already paid for itself a thousand times. Greetings from Czech Republic.

The book does not spell out slowly enough where and actually how to create your first trading acct. I will say that yes it absolutely did cover that but in no way was it saying: Go to etrade and open an account, it seemed rather ambigous for where to really get the hard facts on what to do. I am all for self learning I thought that was the purpose of this book, but if you want to know where to get the actual pink sheets, where to actually buy I didnt see it clear enough , to the authors defense it might have been me. But things seemed vague to me at least .

This book is not well written. It restates the obvious and there were numerous typos that I encountered on my very first reading. The author said he doesn't consider stocks under 50 cents per share, so I think he is missing the basic concept of penny stock investing--high risk and high reward with a small percentage of person's portfolio. He also dismisses the online message boards simply because anyone can say anything, and therefore they should be ignored. I think this perspective is short-sighted because a shrewd penny stock trader can still be alerted to a stock that is having high trading volume that they may not have been aware of prior to viewing the boards. I would have given the book only one star, however, if a person knows absolutlly nothing about penny stocks, it is of some value. I learned much more usable information from "Candlestick Charting for Dummies."
