Five stars isn't enough. Joshua has been in the Leopard series for quite awhile, and he was such a mystery. As we discover more about him, he is that much more tempting. Joshua is a good man with a leopard that he needs to keep in check. Sonia is in hiding, she has escaped a life of mobs, murder, torture, and death to women. They think she is dead, so she has started her new life. Their leopards meet in the swamp, a place to let the leopards run, neither one expected to find their mate. Can Sonia trust Joshua? He is leading the life she fled, how can he be a good man. Joshua has to keep her safe, was is coming. Building alliances and gettting rid of evil is what Joshua does, but they are coming for his mate. This book has everything including surprises, excitement, love, crazy sex, and the mention of the other leopards we love. Great series, exciting story lines and amazing characters that are easy to love and evil that you hate.

I love Christine Feehans books but this one just didn't feel like her. I own every book she's written even several copies of wild rain but this one didn't Feel like the rest in the series. It was a little saddening.

This book would have been good if not for all the sex scenes. There were far too many of them and they were unpleasantly graphic. The relationship of the main characters was unhealthy at best. It appeared abusive on his part and masochistic on her part. I couldn’t finish it.

I enjoyed this book but not as much as I did the majority of the others. I waited a longtime to read Joshua's story and feel like Sasha got more attention then he did. He was supposed to be the main character and didn't get near enough attention in my option. However I liked the twist to the female version to this story it wasn't as predictable as the others.

I would love to write a review but I'm missing a lot of pages , so I didn't get the whole story . Whoever is responsible for editing did a lousy job. Kind of feeling a little ripped off . I was so looking forward to this book.

LEOPARD’S BLOOD is the tenth installment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary, adult LEOPARD erotic, paranormal romance series focusing on the supernatural world of the Leopard shifter. This is businessman Joshua Tregre and artist/carpenter Sonia Lopez’s story line. LEOPARD’S BLOOD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although LEOPARD’S BLOOD continues to follow the author’s latest series arc focusing on the Russian and Italian mafia.

Told from dual third person points of view (Joshua and Sonia) LEOPARD’S BLOOD follows the building relationship between leopard shifters Joshue Tregre, and Sonia Lopez. Following the murder of her father and the death of her mother Sonia found herself indebted to the Russian mob. Escaping to the swamplands of Louisiana, our heroine works as a home rebuilder until the fated day her internal beast goes maddeningly into heat. Enter Joshua Tregre, Sonia’s neighbor and her would be mate who claims our heroine as his own. What ensues is the insta-lust/love between two people more animal than human, and the potential fall-out when Sonia’s past comes seeking revenge.

Like all Leopard males Joshua Tregre is an over –possessive, over-protective alpha who claims his mate before anyone else. His need to protect is controlling but our heroine needs to be protected from a past seeking revenge. Sonia is willing to place herself in danger to protect the people she loves but she is not as capable of defending herself against men and leopards twice her size. The back and forth, yin and yang of their relationship is somewhat volatile but unlike many of the author’s previous story line heroes Joshua Tregre is a little tamer, and not willing to break the will of his leopard mate. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense; Joshua needs to mark his mate to warn others of their mating. There are some scenes of light spanking (discipline) and toy play.

We are reintroduced to Alonzo Massi (Leopard’s Fury #9) and his brothers and cousins -Gorya, Timur and Mitya; Joshua’s right hand man Evan; Sonia’s friend Molly Sheffield, and police detective Bastien Foret; and Russian mobsters Nikita and Sasha Bogomolov. There are many mentions of, but no appearances by previous story line leopards including Jake Bannaconni, Eli Perez, Elijah Lospostos, and Drake Donovan.

The world building continues to look at the world of the leopard shifter with mentions of Borneo, and the abusive earlier lives of many of the leopard males; there are some threats of rape, murder ands sexual assault but the author does not go into livid detail as in previous series and stories. LEOPARD’ S BLOOD, although bloody and violent does not go into graphic detail.

LEOPARD’S BLOOD is a story of fated mates; of a shifter breed capable of violence and murderous rage but a shifter that is also capable of romance and love. The premise is exciting and action packed; the characters are colorful and lively; the romance is provocative and seductive.

This is not up to Christine Feehan's standards......

If you are looking for a book that is just about sex and sex scenes, this is it (she has always had many of these scenes in the other Leopard Series books, but this one has that and not much else). The characters are bland, dialog is boring, the lead up to a clash with the evil villain (her typical leopard book storyline) was just not exciting at all. I kept skipping pages going....sex again....okay, we get it, yep you can't keep your hands off each other. Now where is the story?

My true rating is 2 1/2 stars. It seems the author is more interested in writing sex scenes over and over ad naseum to be bothered with a real plot and a fleshed out story. I skimmed so much of this book it was ridiculous. If she can't give the characters the attention they deserve by having an actual plot then maybe she has too many series going and it's time to end a few of them so she can go back to telling a decent story. It used to be a few love scenes and mostly story. Now it is sex and what there is of a story is in the background and easily summed up and over with in no time.

As always with her it COULD have been a good book. I liked the characters but with no real story.....I won't be wasting money on her any longer.

First and foremost, I'm a huge fan of Christine Feehan's. I'll admit upfront that I've read every single thing she's released, including all her non-series books, novellas and anthologies. I'm straight up an avid fan. And while the majority of her audience will likely lean towards her "Dark Series", the Leopards have had me for some time (I mean.....Jake Bannaconni, ladies?!?!). The Leopard Series are especially HOT, HOT reads, so if you're not into to that, you should probably pick up a different book. This particular book jumps into that element of the Leopard mentality immediately in the opening pages, and just revs it up from there. I've been anxiously awaiting Joshua's book, and I was not disappointed. Sonia is on the run from something, and Joshua will of course stop at nothing to find out what it is and keep her safe from it. Coming along for the ride as this relationship grows from physical lust to everything else and more is a fantastic trip. And seeing the collision of the Leopard story lines continue is enthralling - I can't wait to see who's up next to find their very heated HEA as the Leopard Series keeps evolving.

This has to be the worst book I have read by Christine Feehan.........I have been a fan for years but this.....this didn't even feel like her writing. I have felt this about most of her books lately and do not buy them any more. Thank goodness I got this from the library for only a pound.

If you take out the ridiculous amount of sex, repetitive musings and stilted conversations you are left with........well, nothing!

What happened to the exciting story-line? the will they wont they? (even though you know they will) what happened to the sensual? the fun? There was nothing that kept me interested in this book. Yes, I read to the end but only because it is Christine Feehan. This book took me the best part of five days to read because it was so easy to put down and forget about it. Normally i can read these books in one / two days.

I would normally write a little something about the characters but I cant be bothered as they were not interesting at all. I will confess to liking the descriptions of the swamp but that is about it.

Would I recommend this book..........absolutely not. Wow, can't believe I have just written that!! Even as an avid fan this book was just plain awful.

When you least expect it you find the one, sometimes even in your own backyard. Leopard's Blood opens with Joshua rebuilding the territory that he took from Rafe Cordeau. While out on a run he finds that which he truly thought was never to be his...a mate, but Sonja has no clue as to what it means to be a leopard shifter, much less a mated leopard shifter. Both Joshua and Sonja are born protectors. Watching them come together, learn to communicate, grow together and trust, is challenging at times but in the end so worth it. Sonja is a no back down heroine, who will do what she feels, is right, she is not one to sit on the sidelines and this concept gives Joshua more than one scary moment. Will they be able to find their happily ever after together or will misunderstanding a situation tear them apart?????

Joshua Tregre has come home to Louisiana and taken over the crime territory previously held by Rafe Cordeau. Sonia Lopez has been hired to remodel Joshua’s house. Unbeknownst to Joshua, Sonia is on the run for her life. Joshua’s business dealings with the Russian mob eventually put Sonia’s life in danger and all secrets are finally revealed.
Leopard’s Blood is a wonderful entry in this long running series. Bringing together two very damaged people who find their much needed other halves. Sonia’s interaction with Gatita had me laughing, smiling and wanting to hug the both of them. Joshua needed hugs too. Ms. Feehan does such a wonderful job weaving her stories that it is a shock to finish the book and you have to leave that world. It just feels so real.
So, my 2 cents says if you’ve been reading this series you know it’s not for the faint hearted. The world created is violent and sexual, if you don’t like any of that then this series is not for you. If violence and sex do not bother you then rush right out and buy this book!!!!! The storytelling is awesome!

Story lines are interchangable. There seems to be a repeated pattern to every one of these latest shifter books. And the rough sex...pitiful. I'm really over these alpha males who "punish" their women by spanking them, which turns the women on, which makes for more rough sex. Pages, and pages, and pages of thinking about rough sex, having rough sex, thinking about having had rough sex. Of course, that's supposed to make up for not actually having a real story line, like the earlier books used to. I buy at the box store for the cheaper price and am thinking about just getting these for free from the library. They sure aren't worth the premium price anymore...

Joshua never expected to find his mate. He has searched the world only to find her right next door. But he has made choices that bring danger to anyone he loves. Can he convince Sonia that not only is she his but also that he will protect her always?

Leopard’s Blood is the latest story in Christine Feehan’s Leopards Series. I love this series and the men working to make the world better. They are good men doing a dirty job and Joshua fits in perfectly. I love Joshua. He knows that Sonia is his, he knows that she is fighting and he knows he will ultimately win. Sonia doesn’t understand half of what it means to be not only leopard but also mated. However, Joshua is determined to give her the best he can, especially since his world is so dangerous. And I really liked Sonia. She is battered but not broken. Ms. Feehan gave us a woman who found a strength she never knew she had. Losing her parents and the family she thought was hers forced Sonia to learn to be self-sufficient. She tried to be an island but that didn’t fit her personality. And Ms. Feehan gave her a man in Joshua who would accept nothing less than her heart and soul. This story is well written and the characters thoughtfully presented. I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world with Ms. Feehan and can’t wait to see where she will take us next.

Thoughts: This has always been a favorite series of mine, and one that I generally still pick up by Christine Feehan. It’s a good solid book by Feehan, no doubt. Starting out, Sonia is already experiencing her heat so the sexual aspect of this story is immediate, wild, and erotic. I was expecting a bit more build up into the story first, but it added an interesting twist anyway. The action part kicks in eventually and we learn a lot about both of our characters and their pasts. For me, the characters are largely drawn together by sex and sex only - their relationship hinges on that. I didn’t really feel that they developed much romantically, or perhaps just not enough for me. They did bond and confide in each other some further into the book, but it still felt largely like sex and not much else. I really wanted more, and it just never quite got there for me. Joshua was also a rather demanding alpha character, and the relationship between him and Sonia was rough and rowdy. As with most shifter storylines there is a lot of ‘marking each other’ and a few physical type altercations, but that also seemed rather over the top and I can see it being a possible turn off for some readers. Not all readers, but some, particularly those that do not like the overly alpha males.

Overall, for me this one didn’t have the same feel as previous books in this series. I’m not sure what it was exactly, but it felt different to me. It wasn’t a bad thing at all, just different. Personally, I also kind of miss the earlier books in the series before we started focusing on mob connections, etc.

Leopard’s Blood was a great read though, and one of the better ones from Feehan’s more recent releases. Enough so to tempt me to maybe go back and pick up a few I’ve missed along the way in her Dark series!

Having a new Leopard book by this author land on my kindle had me doing a happy dance and willing the weekend to come! I had drifted away from this author a few years ago but came back to find, once again, amazing reads. Whether additions to long-standing series - Leopard People, Dark, Sisters, Ghostwalkers – or new romances in the Shadow books, each one was a love story to savour and get lost in…. Joshua and Sonia’s was the latest and oh so good!

“I’m real, Sonia. One hundred percent real. You’re safe with me.”

Joshua could relate well to the horror that was Sonia’s childhood. He was raised away from the lair swamplands – and the past – that she called her own but he was deadly nevertheless…

“I swear to you, I would never harm you or allow anyone else to. You’re mine.”

Sigh… sounds pretty he-man and alpha, doesn’t it? Well, he certainly was! Protective, caring and pushy he knew when to move gently and when to pounce. Trust was something Sonia knew little about and a life of isolation meant the few friends she cherished were still kept at a safe distance. Joshua was going to push past any barriers she had and use every skill at his disposal to make her see him and what they could be.

I sit down to start reading and when I look up again it’s been hours, lost in a world of shifters and love that was equally raw, sexy hot and emotional. A touch of mafia and a whole lot of heat makes this another edgy, “get lost in another world” romance. Loved it and can’t wait for more. LOTS more!

Joshua and Sonia are leopards. We know of Joshua from earlier stories, where he was a body guard for Jake and Emma. I love how these stories are independent of the earlier books but still tie in with just the mention of the names of other leopards. In this one we get a rundown of each male and his mate in case we forgot. how could we forget Theodore and Evangeline? Anyway, back to Joshua and Sonia. this book like the others grabs you right from the first line. It is amazing that in Book 10, Christine Feehlan still is able to grab the readers. Wow! We are in the swamps of Louisiana and Sonia is running from the Russian mob. Little does she know that she is running right into the hands of Joshua, who has taken over the territory of another mobster. The leopard sex that opens the book is intense and you just know it won’t end there. fortunately, it doesn’t and there are several episodes with no sex but this book is not for those who don’t like explicit sex scenes. Anyone who knows these books, knows that the sex is not and intense. Joshua is no exception. He and Sonia are well suited. I found myself wishing that Sonia would quit second guessing her choices of men...couldn’t she see that Joshua is different from Sasha, the son of the Russian who tried to kill her? Apparently, she did see the difference but still worried. Happy to say that she finally got her life together. The narrator is perfect. He is the same one who narrated Book 9.

I began this series a while ago, and while it’s always been entertaining, it hasn’t ever really captured me. That is until now.

Leopard’s Blood is (finally!) Joshua’s story of finding his true love, Sonia. At first, I will admit, I eye-rolled at the “instant love” that brought these two together. I mean… really? But…………… I get it. And the more I read, the more I got it. Their chemistry was wonderful, and Ms. Feehan does a tremendous job of developing their relationship from instant attraction to a touching and loving pairing. The plot of the story is very well-written and is full of action, excitement and plenty of the sexy and steamy love scenes we’ve all (yes, you know I’m talking about you) grown to know and love from Ms. Feehan.

This book, in so many ways, is exactly like it’s predecessors. But what sets it apart from them, is the way the romance evolves. The way it grows and becomes something beautifully poetic.

Whether you’re an avid reader of this series, or not, this is one book that you’ll truly enjoy.

I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own.

I'm a huge Christine Feehan fan, I'm working my way through all of her series. I was thrilled to see a new addition to her Leopard People series and dived in. Right away things are hot and intense between Joshua (who we've seen through the previous books in the series) and Sonia. Their leopards are determined to be together but Sonia is NOT. Sonia has a sad backstory, has been hurt by men, and wants nothing to do with him so Joshua has a had road ahead.

Sonia is very independent. She's got a huge heart, is there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I liked that she wasn't a shrinking violet, she was willing to jump in and defend the people she loved without a second thought. Joshua is a typical Christine Feehan hero. He's commanding and strong willed and determined to get his way. He's had a hard childhood too and it made him strong and protective and he knows what he's found in Sonia.

Super steamy, strong willed characters and an exciting storyline, Leopard's Blood is another winner from Christine Feehan.

This Leopard Book was a bit disappointing. Too much X-Rated going on again and not enough storytelling. The last Leopard Book was much better than this one. It got to the point that I just jumped through the explicit parts of this story because they were just to many, too long and again to explicit (x-rated). It could have been much better without so many of the above mentioned in this Leopards Book. I hope the next one will be better. Overall I was just Disappointed in Leopards Blood.

This book start of with a bang, literally and figuratively. I was drawn into the emotions that the author invokes right from the first chapter. Not only does she make us hot but she also added elements of mystery and love of a true mate. Joshua is an alphabet to the bone, but he also has his vulnerability to them that I found very endearing.

Sonya’s character Was very relatable in the aspect that she didn’t want to get too close, but you could feel that Paul the characters seem to havetowards each other was very relatable in the aspect that she didn’t want to get too close, but you could feel that Paul the characters seem to have towards each other.

I have to say the mystery, and actually aspects really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I haven’t read other books in this series but the min asoecr was fresh and very nerve-racking.

I really did love it and plan to go back at some point and read the others in the series. I’m hook and can’t wait to see what has been written and is to come. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

Leopard's Blood grabs you from the first pages and doesn't stop, the difference in this book is the leopards mate first, the hard part is getting Sonia to trust in Josh enough to have a true mating. She has been betrayed in the past and she is not ready to trust so easily, plus in her heart she knows Joshua is a good man, good leader and she doesn't want to bring trouble to his door, and in her heart she knows that her past will catch up to her and soon. Joshua knows he can protect Sonia from her past, but he also knows he is bringing her into a life that she doesn't want, but that together they can have a true bonding and have a fulfilling life and family. He just has to convince her of that, which won't be easy!

This book is very sexual, raw and powerful, if that is not enough it is also filled with plenty of action. Fast paced and packed with emotion. The Leopard series is one of my favorites, I am always ready for my next fix!

This one was passionate x 100 from start to finish. It kind of reminded me of Eli Perez and Catarina’s story, the one I’m not a fan of, but unlike that one this didn’t have that domineering vibe to it. It was crazy how they kept at it but their story and their struggle to trust also came through. When the truth comes out and Joshua is terrified of losing her and Sonia is devastated by yet another betrayal it was hard to watch.  I felt so sad for her and for him. He was nothing like her past experiences but she didn’t know that and the fears were so ingrained in her, of course, she was going to jump to the wrong conclusions. I like that he didn’t hold it against her but rather worked to prove to her he wasn’t wrong for her. Their story was intense, action-packed, and passionate. Not my favorite in the series but I did enjoy it.

I used to love Christine’s books. Her characters were all individuals, and though she used to use the same descriptions for the women a lot( long hair, curvy, petite, etc), they all seemed to have varying personalities. In this book, however, Joshua has the same personality as every other leopard male in the rest of the books. Slightly abusive, overbearing and domineering. He didn’t seem to stick to the character I came to know in the other leopard novels, like Drake’s for example. Every time a character gets their own story they seem to revert to her trope of jerk male with tortured past and its frustrating. Plus, like everyone else has already stated: this book was just pure erotica. If she wanted to start it off that way to set up how they met, ok that’s fine. But every. Single. Time. They were in a room together, it usually ended in sex and him saying he didn’t know how to show love except through sex and boyyyy sex got old after a while. Sonia’s character didn’t really have a personality or anything definitive beyond random stuff thrown in unexpectedly. Halfway through the book she’s giving you a recipe you didn’t ask for?
And I’m tired of the explaining away bruises thing. Someone asks about the bruises and she says “were in love it’s mutual nbd.” But it’s just explaining the abuse to make it seem better.
Too much sex constantly, not enough plot/good enough plot to care about.
I miss having her as an insta-buy, and being slightly jealous of the females because "I want a guy like that"...instead of wondering if I should dial 911 for a fictional character.
Think this is the last time I’ll download one of her new books. Sad.

Leopard’s Blood is a sizzling story packed with sensuality! Sonia Lopez was on the run after a failed attempt on her life and had made her way to a small Louisiana town where she lived alone. She had purchased a piece of property that backed up to a swamp and it was perfect for her Leopard counterpart to run free in. Sonia had been ignorant to the fact that she was a leopard shifter until her life was in danger. That danger had forced her leopard to shift in order to save their lives. Although Sonia had been ignorant to her shifter side, she was quickly learning each day. At the start of Leopard’s Blood Sonia was learning firsthand what it meant for her Leopard to be in season.

Sonia thought she knew what to expect with her leopard being in season and had a place prepared out in the swamp where she could go and be alone while her leopard was in her heat. She thought that she would be okay being away from the local residents and there were no other leopards in the area so she felt free to let her leopard, Gatita, roam in order to try and burn off the sexual tension that had been driving them both crazy. Imagine Sonia’s shock when a male leopard answered the mating calls of Gatita. Sonia tried to get Gatita to listen to her requests to get away from the other leopard but Gatita accepted that leopard as her mate and that was that.

Not only was there was a leopard shifter close by, there was in fact several leopard shifters. Joshua Tregre and his crew had just moved into the territory previously ruled by mob boss Rafe Cordeau and his leopard, Shadow, knew the mating call that he heard was his true mate and boy did he answer. If you like a buildup between characters before they get between the sheets then be warned, there is none of that in Leopard’s Blood. The story starts out with mating between the leopards and then switches to mating between the characters because not only was Gatita in season but Sonia was as well. It was sex, sex, and more sex.

Sonia was not interested in a relationship so she accepted the idea that she was going to use this man for the duration of time she was burning with need and then she would walk away. Sonia had learned a hard lesson that proved to her that she could not trust anyone. Joshua knew Sonia was his mate and her leopard already accepted his leopard, there was no way that he was going to let her go. I loved that as the story went on I found out more about Joshua’s protectiveness from the moment he met Sonia and it was really sweet. From the start, it was clear to Joshua that Sonia was hiding something and he was determined to figure out what because she was his mate and he had to protect her.

Sonia’s life up until her attempted assassination was perfect. After the attempt on her life she realized that she had been naive and it led her to doubt herself and the intentions of others. Now she lived in fear that the men she was hiding from would find out that she survived and they would come for her. She had no doubt that they would kill anyone that Sonia cared about. For this reason and the fact that she trusted no one, Sonia tried to keep everyone at arm’s length, preferring to keep to herself.

No matter how hard Joshua tried Sonia refused to tell him the truth about who she was hiding from and her attempt at “protecting” him actually was the catalyst that led to the discovery that she was alive. If she had been truthful with Joshua he would not have made the choices that he had that put the ones she feared on her tail. This is where the action really picked up in this story and I love it! Sonia and Joshua had to try and be one step ahead of the trouble that was coming but that was not an easy matter because Joshua was not fully prepared due to his lack of information. No matter how prepared they tried to be there was no stopping the family that was bent on revenge. It would take every type of cunning Joshua and Sonia had in order to escape with their lives.

Leopard’s Blood is mixture between hot sex, Sonia’s past coming back to haunt her, and Joshua’s realization that he has finally found his mate. There is a solid story between Joshua and Sonia but there is also so much sex. Leopard sex, sex toys, aggressive sex, mating sex, seriously a lot of sex. I can’t say that it took away from the story but it did not endear me to the characters either. I just think that for me there was just way too much of the non-stop sex. Once the action started though the pace picked up and the story started to get really interesting. There were definitely moments where I was kept in suspense and others where I was completely horrified for the characters.

Joshua’s character is very sexual so a lot of his emotional expressions are physical. He is also the most alpha male character I have ever read. I liked that his character had feelings and grew to express those feelings beyond just the physical. Although he is a very dominant character he also had a big heart for Sonia and he did not demand that she listen to his every whim. Sonia had a mind of her own and she was not afraid to stand up for herself against this alpha male character. Their relationship started out on lust but it slowly developed into a swoony love connection and that was nice. Overall, I think that Leopard’s Blood is a solid installment in the Leopard’s People series!

This is a super-sexy, exciting story. At first, I was afraid that Joshua would turn out to be a one-dimensional dominating male – he wasn’t. He was dominant, but full of heart and emotion as well. I grew to like him quickly. Sonia was also someone I could relate to, and how she viewed things going on around her. It was a well written and fast paced romance that either had me swooning or cringing as I turned the pages.

Sex sex and sex. I am still waiting for a story line to emerge. The ENTIRE first chapter is a dirty graphic sex scene. Not kind of, but literally. Page after page I waited for it to be over. I forced myself to read into the third chapter, but I can't make myself go back to read more. I felt dirty and embarrassed as I was listening to this book on Audible. I deserve a refund, at the very least. Maybe an apology.

It's been a while since I've read this author, I quite like the Leopard series. There is a lot of sex but if you're over it and skim there is still plenty of story line happening. Sonia is a leopard shifter, a surprise to her when her leopard revealed herself to save Sonia's life. Joshua is her neighbour and her 'mate', he just has to convince her. There's drama and murder in the background as criminal tendancies are revealed as the story unfolds. The story was well paced with lots of nail baiting moments, I enjoyed it.

I will not restate the plot nor reveal any spoilers in this review.
Leopard's Blood is the newest book in the leopard series by Christine Feehan and is an excellent read in the shifters genre. This is intended for adult audiences as there are graphic sex scenes and adult language. The characters are strong and driven by past tragedies but open themselves to love. This book is filled with romance, suspense and drama and keeps you reading until the wee hours of the morning! Another winning book by Christine Feehan.

Hot Hot Hot!! This book is steaming hot sex from the first chapter! I am not quite so much an in your face sex fan at my age, but I must admit, Joshua and Sonia are pretty creative as cats and people! Joshua is so tough and bossy, but Sonia can bring him to his knees. She loves the way he calls her "baby". I love the story line, and enjoyed the way Christine started giving us some new people to think about possible stories later. Can they really slow down the Russian Mob? Read it and see! Run through the Louisiana swampland with your inner leopard!

The Leopard series has become my second favorite behind Christine's Carpathians. I was so happy to read Joshua's story. He has one heck of a beast leopard and Sonia is a kickass who's going to rain that leopard in, well with the help of Gatita, Sonia's leopard. The action was great. The byplay was spot on. The sex could set the roof, who am I kidding, the whole house on fire. I love an alpha male but damn do I love when his woman is just as alpha! Needless to say, I can not wait for the next book!

You get two stories in this book. A leopard story and then Molly's story.
I love the way they intertwined with each other.
The leopard story is a bit on the dark side, but then they are violent in nature. Besides, when someone wants to take what's your's, wouldn't you fight back?

Joshua and Sonia's story starts off with some very hot fireworks between them. Then comes the rough part, finding out how to trust and not run when your past comes looking for you.
Especially when that past is hell bent on making you suffer.

Do you run, or or trust the people around you to fight for you?

I enjoyed this book, but it seemed slow in some spots. This author often creates intimate scenes that go on and on and on. This book is no exception. I found I could skip paragraphs at a time without it interfering with the story. Other than the numerous hot sex scenes, there was emotional romance and suspense to keep the story flowing. There was less violent sex in this work, for which I was thankful.

I agree that there is A LOT of SEX in this book. The story line is weak. Can someone please help me out? I am pretty sure that I have read the ending fight seen before. What book was that in? The end is what finally caught my attention and I am sure that I have read it before!
Glad this is the final book in the series. I am looking forward to her other new books.

It all started with heat. Sonia Lopez couldn’t be around any town people and even less any men, her leopard had gone into heat, and she knew she had to isolate herself for a while. Once in her leopard form and at night, Sonia lets her leopard, Gatita, run free to tire her out, but instead, Gatita cries out calling for a male or a mate to help her with her heat. Too much of Sonia’s surprise, a male leopard hears the call, and appears to them. After the leopards mate and become tired, both of them turn back into humans, the heat has already affected Sonia, so she also need for the man that has taken the place of the leopard who mated Gatita. Knowing that the mating heat is going to last a week, Sonia doesn’t want to get attached to Joshua, so she tells him to not follow her home and not to ask her questions of herself. Once the leopard heat’s ends, Sonia’s hasn’t, but she doesn’t go back to find Joshua in their meeting place. Instead, Sonia dedicates her time to her work and remodeling her house. Sonia works remodeling houses and three days after she stopped seeing Joshua, her boss Jerry tells her he has a new job for her that will help and will be great for everyone.

When Sonia arrives to the house to evaluate the damage and know how much it’s going to take, she meets the owner of the new house, Joshua Tregre, the man she met for a whole week. Joshua confessed that he did follow her and found out where she worked, and asked for Jerry’s company to send her for the job. He tells Sonia that she is his mate and that their leopards already know it, it’s just her that need to accept it. Even though Sonia has started to feel something for Joshua, she knows that she can’t have anything with him because she is running, and she is supposed to be dead.

I liked Leopard’s Blood, it was a good story that had a purpose and gave the reader what it was expected. The characters of this story, Sonia and Joshua were good for each other, and the other characters were also fun to read. We hear some mentions of characters from the past books, and some even make cameos in it.

“All the air in her lungs had been used and there was no more in the room. That dinner. That sensual dinner and the hot, wild sex after, that had been Joshua, her Joshua leading up to this moment of absolute triumph. He had tricked her, used her. Just as Sasha had.”

While I like happy endings and happy ever after’s, I also like when the main characters fall apart or do something that hurts the other person. I like this because most of the time one of the characters flees and the other one goes after her/him, and try to win that person back. In this case, I liked the events that happened after Sonia learns the truth about Joshua’s new “job”. Most of all, I liked that Sonia would do anything to keep her leopard save, even if it means for herself to suffer.

“‘You know that song by Taylor Swift, Wildest Dream?’ Sonia asked. She bit off the end of her fried zucchini. ‘That’s Joshua. Tall. Handsome as hell. Okay, gorgeous. But he has the bad-boy thing down. Maybe more like badass. Either way, it isn’t going to end well for me.’”

There was a part of this book that made me laugh hard. At one point, Sonia is describing Joshua to her friend Molly and she uses Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dream” song as a reference. If you hear the song you can see how it would refer to both Sonia and Joshua when she was only trying to use him to get over the mating heat. Mostly she is trying to convince herself that nothing is going to happen between them and that Joshua might get bored later on. Still, I like that song and I like that it was used in this story.

Like many of the other books in the Leopard People series, there are great battles between the leopards, but in this book, we also get to see some human vs. leopard battles. The scenes were great, and it shows that when a human is trying to save himself or a person they love, that person would do everything they can, even if it means being bitten or slash by a leopard.

“She kicked the large leopard hard with the ball of her foot, a perfect front kick, snapped put hard and fast to his side, followed by a heel hook. She drove her heel into his side in to the exact same spot, hoping to break his ribs.”

If you are a fan of Christine Feehan and her Leopard People series, then I recommend Leopard’s Blood. In this story, a couple meets at night when both of them need it each other, but after those nights they belong to one another and would try to do anything to keep the other safe.

If you like jumping into the "lust" right from the get go, shifters, suspense, and more "lust" this is the book for you, if you prefer more, don't give up. There is intrigue, sense of family and love. I read everything Christine Feehan writes, I was received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
