(A kids review) I bought this book as my biography for women's history month at school and I do not regret my choice at all!! The book told me everything I needed to know about JK Rowling and it included some extra information I didn't find in any other books. I would recommend this for ONLY people that have read the Harry Potter books and for ages 7-13. I also suggest some of the other who was books.

This review was originally posted on my blog, Little Miss Reader (http://little-missreader.blogspot.com/)

I love J.K. Rowling, and she will always be one of my favorite authors.

This biography was funny, I guess it is written for kids, since there is a bunch of pictures, it is very easy to read and it takes about half an hour to read.

Did you know that she got the idea for the books on a trainride? Did you know that Snape is based on one of her teachers from elementary school? I did not, I loved finding out about these kinds of things. It makes me love the books even more!

Before she got published, she was actually poor, she had not enough money to feed both herself and her baby girl, Jessica. So she just fed Jessica, and when she was asleep, she pulled out her story and wrote.

All I have to say about this book is that you seriously have to read it if you are a J.K. Rowling fan, because this is phenomenal!

Since I love J.K. Rowling I have to give this book 5 hearts. Just read it!

I'm an adult and enjoyed reading about Rowling because I've read and loved all of the books. Another reason is that my granddaughter read it. As an adult read it could be a 3-4, but as a kid's book I would give it a 5.

I absolutely love Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling but this book is an absolute discrace! On page 74 it says,"... the magic in Harry Potter isn't real." This is FALSE information! It is proven that the Wizarding World is very much real!!!! In my opinion, Rowling's sister, Di, is a muggle born and Rowling wrote the book based on people who are in the Wizarding World. I was offended by this book but do not discourage you to read the book. It is still educational but if you agree with me, you may be angerd.

This is a cute little biography about J.K. Rowling. It is kid-friendly, but I bought it just to add to my HP collection. I enjoyed the quick read. It didn't have a ton of information I hadn't read on line, but a few tidbits and some cute illustrations and reference entries. I would recommend it for any Rowling fan.
