Another chapter in the Drizzt saga, and even though many of the Companions of the Hall are gone, the new characters and old blend together to create a similar balance but with new possibilities! Love anything Drizzt related.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. I have had the privilege to read all of the books, with the great hero's. This book is no exception. From start to finish I couldn't put it down. From the exciting fight sequences to the tragic ending. Long live the king! I can't wait to read the next book to find out how this short story of Drizzts life plays out. 5 stars all the way! I totally recommend this book to any who have fallen in love with the great characters of Iceland Dale.

I loved this book! A brand new adventure for Drizzt. Although there are a lot of changes, it is apart of a ever changing world, and though some people may think it is stupid. It is the way of a life and what must happen. Characters must change to make them sound real and be real otherwise they will just be card board cut outs. Thats what Gauntlgrym offers Change, and I will continue to read R.A. Salvatore's books and follow the journey my most favorite character is going on, for I want to know what happens next for I am one such person who can relate and I know well the loss experienced. R.A. Salvatore still amazes me with his intense story telling and will forever be the reason I was introduced into fantasy and Writing. Thank you R.A.S!

P.S. If I have posted any spoilers I am very, very sorry. I have deleted some of the stuff on here that I wrote, I don't like to spoil anything for anyone.

More of the same Drizzt action and story progression, just nearly a century into the future of The Realms. Not a big fan myself of the direction that the designers took with the timeline and half of the book is a fight scenes, which is cool and all but gets really old after awhile.

Transition to the new DnD ruleset is nice if paced a bit too quickly. Wish they were given a bit more time to flesh out new characters rather than having to kill off everyone in the span of a couple of books... anyway, Im looking forward to what RA has planned for Drizzt and the new gang.

This is another fun read by RA Salvatore. I enjoyed the story but my only concern is the new character developments I see Drizzt going through. I know RA is trying to keep things fresh but some of the characters are changing a little to much for my liking. I still think this is a solid read but hold reservations on the choices to change things so drastically.
