Ares Berger is one in a million trillion kajillion.....This book! I laughed so much at his one word responses. Once Felicity figured out his game and she played along, it was so darn funny. I love Pippa Grant books. I love how she entertained the characters in her past books. All the guys and gals are so protective of each other. I love love love Ares. He may be quiet, but he's smart, loving, giving, and oh goodness the monkey and his relationship. Those two are the best. Felicity's character/characters with her puppets. Its freakin hilarious. I loooooovvvve this book. Its a must read. Their chemistry is hot, their eye conversations are perfect, Gammy's ghost...OMG hilarious. Read this book!!!

Wow...what an awesome book to read when you are feeling down, frustrated, pissed off, etc. This will lift your spirits and put a smile back on your face.

I enjoyed reading Beauty and the Beefcake so much because it seemed like a breath of fresh air. The characters were spot on and couldn't have been better. The relationship was developed nicely and I couldn't wait for the climax of these two coming together after all the sexual tension that was flying around!

I would recommend this book to everyone who loves to laugh, roll their eyes, and just looking for a good time!

When I first started this story, I was like, “What am I reading?” We quickly learn that Felicity is a ventriloquist but she uses her voices ALL THE
TIME. We also learn that Ares is limited in communication - as in he grunts or says random words. Did I mention there’s a ghost and adult cookies all thrown into the beginning reading? However, the more I read, the more I enjoyed the story until I couldn’t put it down. The characters developed and had great depth. Also, they had an undeniable chemistry. Yes there were parts I had to reread twice because I had obviously missed something. However, I was glad I did miss a single punchline or hidden story. Definitely worth the read.

Ares "The Force" Berger is the silent type. Never using long words, his preferred method of communication is through grunts and hilarious gifs. Felicity Murphy is his friend's sister and a complete chatter-box, as well as a ventriloquist, who's really a jerk-magnet. When her brother asks Ares to look after Felicity while he's gone, Ares moves in with her and... sparks fly. Add in the mix inappropriate cookies, a monkey with an attitude and a grandma's ghost... and you have the recipe to a non-stop laughing out loud, romance-filled book.

Warning!!! Due to the hilarious nature of the story, be extremely careful with drinking and eating during reading!

Ares’ book is everything I hoped for and so much more! Pippa made me fall halfway in love with Ares from the very first time I read about him back in Mister McHottie. I She said once that she was taking her time to write Ares book because she wanted to do justice to his character. She did it. Ares’ story is beautiful, enchanting, and makes your heart soar. It breaks it, too, when you see how people don’t see him for what he is. I love Felicity and her quirkiness and smarts. I love how she sees Ares and how he knows her. It’s such a beautiful and fun book that I feel like reading all over again. This is my favorite book by Pippa and I’m totally in love with Ares!

Ive been waiting, maybe not so patiently, on Ares’ book because there has been something about him throughout the series that I just knew he was going to be special and my favorite. I was right, Ares is amazing and I’m so glad he had Felicity that could see past his walls he had built up. Felicity was an oddball and at times her “personalities” got to me because she would just go on and on when she was nervous but eventually you get use to it and she becomes such an endearing person. This one is by far the best, in my opinion, of the series. A man with very few words but his actions spoke volumes, absolutely loved it.

Oh. My. Dog. I have loved these characters that Pippa has created. I knew. I just knew. Two books ago when Zeus and Joey met and fell in love, that I couldn't wait to read Ares' story. I had to power through Manning and Gracie (loved it too) to get to this story! It didn't disappoint, even if I did have to read two chapters until I finally heard Ares voice. Ok, so it was mostly in his head, but it was what I always knew it would be. Perfect. I have laughed through this series but I cried tears of sadness and joy when Ares and Felicity broke down their walls to be together. Like couldn't stop crying it was so perfect. His heart broken. Her heart broken. Their hearts calling out to each other. Pippa killed us all with their pain and then raised us right out of the ashes with Ares finding his voice because Felicity believed he could. Tears and then joy and laughter. So much laughter. I wish I could give this book 10 stars. I loved every moment.

When you think about the Berger twins you picture cars being lifted, candy being eaten (wrapper and all), GIF’s, Emoji’s and a lot of grunting. Beauty and the Beefcake will give you all of that and SO much more. Pippa Grant put an amazing level of depth in Ares. He doesn’t talk because he doesn’t feel it necessary to waste words. Felicity talks a LOT! At first it’s hard to imagine how Pippa is going to bring Ares and Felicity together, but Beauty and the Beefcake is AMAZING! I love Ares! I love Felicity! I love the way they love!
You MUST read this book!!!!!

Felicity has some sketchy driving skills, "...I wince and cut the corner leaving the parking lot too short, which makes the Escalade hop a curb. I don’t look at Ares, but I feel him watching me. And I’d bet half my degrees that he knows I’m once again thinking about his monkey. The figurative monkey. In his pants." Ares is a freaking caveman at times, and I liked it, "I want inside her. To taste her. Stroke her. Claim her. I want to be hers." I liked this book, I liked thar Ares didn't talk much, except for the grunts.

Just finished reading Beauty and the Beefcake and I'll be honest, a few pages into chapter one I thought that I was going to end up losing interest in this book really quickly. Felicity constantly talking, as her puppets, was something completely different for me and I thought it was going to get old quickly. However, by chapter 3 or 4 I was hooked.
Ares is a quiet guy who's all muscle. He gives off the typical dumb jock vibe but that's very far from the truth. Felicity learns to see past the front that Ares wants others to see and discovers that there is so much more to him that just hockey and brute strength. I absolutely love Felicity and Ares' dynamic. I love the fact that he's quiet but not dumb and knows how to read her beyond her words and constant chatter. I also haven't read many romantic comedies but this is my second Pippa Grant book and I've absolutely loved both... moving on to book 3 today. This book made me want to find a Ares of my own....

Hilarious, heart-warming, and hockey… All in ONE book! This series is absolutely amazing. How does a guy who barely says a word end up with the best girl ever? They have to develop their own language, get help from a monkey, and ignore the rest of the world. While all of this is happening, some ghosts make themselves known, the monkey does some crazy stuff, and the brother is up to old tricks.

There are no other words, this book just makes the whole series OUTSTANDING!! 10 Stars if I could!

Another wonderfully hysterical read by Pippa Grant. The main characters, Ares and Felicity, were so much fun to read!!! I never would have thought you could make a full story out of Ares when we first met him in Mister McHottie (when all he did was grunt and text in gifs), but it works and it's so good. Bravo Pippa!

This laugh out loud book is perfect! It is impossible not to fall in love with Ares! Two imperfect people struggling to find a spot for them when in reality the world should be ready for them. They find there is more to themselves and each other during this crazy, monkey and ghost filled show they call life!

Couldn't put this down. Loved the communication between this couple using so little words. Felicity is intelligent but so lost, using the puppets to kick verbal ass and finding her way to love. Ares is the same but using a great deal less words. Can't say I love the monkey but he has good timing.

Strong, silent hockey god babysits his teammate's sister after an injury puts him out of play. Can he protect her from the obsessive ex? Can she save him from himself? Can they be the only ones who understand each other and manage to find love? The only part of this that made it hard to read at times were Felicity's voices but love the story and love Pippa's writing!!!

I wondered how Pippa Grant would pull this off. I mean, Ares doesn't say much, how do you write a book when the H doesn't use his words? Well done, Ms. Grant, well done! I am so in love with Ares and Felicity. What a beautiful, funny, hot, sexy love story!

Loved Ares & Felicity - they are perfect for each other. Ares has little to say and Felicity talks for everyone. Loki is hysterical too. It was great catching up with all of the others too. This series has been so much fun and can't wait for more.

Five star series. So far this is my favorite, not for any of the reasons listed - hockey, roommate, opposites attract. It's warm, humorous, hea, no cliffhanger, looks beyond the obvious, and it's really really kind.

I have enjoyed all of Pippa’s books & characters, but Ares & Felicity are by far by favorite! It takes a lot of talent to express a character that doesn’t like to use his words. I loved everything about this book & these characters!

I just can’t get enough of Pippa’s characters. How she was able to make this book be so good with a hero who doesn’t say much was fantastic. I love how Ares and Felicity were able to understand and accept each other’s quirks!!! Need the next one NOW.

Take humor, mix in originality, great characters, and some angst , what do you get ? A winner. Felicity is so complex and ends up right where she belongs. The loveable gentle giants on the ice are goofy and sweet.

Speechless. There are too few words to describe how much I love this book! I peed myself laughing (not really, but it was close), there were NO tears (I got something in my eye! Shut up!), and enough steam to fill a sauna! I cannot wait to read what comes next in this series of quirky, hilarious, and lovable characters.

This book was very difficult to follow. The style of her writing was not what I am used to. I was unsure of who was talking through most of the book. There were some cute parts but overall the style of writing was very confusing.

I found Beauty and the Beefcake to be refreshing take on opposites attract. I loved reading and following Felicity and Ares's story. Having read books from this author before, I look forward to reading more.
