Inspired by Gifted Hands, I wanted to learn more of Dr. Carson's insights.

Think Big, a book that can be read by novice readers, offers very practical advice and insights that can help anyone be their best. The title is an acrostic for the things that Ben Carson considers essential for success. He defines success as, essentially, knowing you have done your best.

I gave the book four stars because I felt Gifted Hands was much more engaging in giving the same advice - I find Gifted Hands more intriguing because you follow his growth as he realizes and implements the things that turn around his life. However, this book is still highly positive and worth a read - it is highly practical, inspiring, and spells out the advice very plainly for us all to readily apply in our own lives!

This book gives hope to those who are struggling with where they are in their lives and who are ready to make a change. Through his own personal example Ben Carson shows that anything is achievable through the gaining of knowledge beginning with small steps and God's help.

Thank you Dr Carson, for a well written and represented road map to success for the young people of America. My kids will be reading this wonderful book, and I'm going to be loudly recommending it to friends and family. You successfully communicated what I've been trying to teach my son for several years. Again, thank you.

Motivating, simple read for high school and up. Dr. Carson shares from his own experience to demonstrate that the roots of upbringing provide the foundation for pursuing honest success, regardless of economic circumstances.

I think that Dr. Ben Carson has common sense ideas, God centered, and proves that success can be had by Thinking Big. His writing is honest and shows his humility. His knowledge of history has shown us what has worked and what has been disasterous in previous centuries. More importantly, the common sense that we shouldn't go there again. Many of us have prayed for a strong new leader for the United States. Could Dr. Benjamin Carson be the one? His newest book, "AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great". is inspiring.

Ben Carson is such a wonderful person,, What he has accomplished is unbelievable This book was wonderful and inspiring I gave it to both my granddaughters when they graduated from 5th and 8th grades. I also framed the poem his mother inspired them with. What a wonderful testimony, I highly recommend this book to everyone no matter what the age

Dr. Carson has a simple way of solving problems. It doesn't matter what side you are on you can use his ideas to improve our country. He has a fabulous background for which I credit his mother. We need more mothers like this. I felt very good after reading the book.

This is a book that every child should be required to read. It shows that just because you were born into poverty doesn't mean you have to stay in poverty. If you have the right encouragement and a parent that cares about you, you can make of yourself whatever you want. One point is to do your best no matter what you are doing. If you are a housekeeper, be the best housekeeper you can be. If you are a surgeon, work hard to be the best surgeon you can be.

Terrific instructive and inspirational book to encourage and motivate teens to think about their career path. They will be blown away by Dr. Carson's ability to help them sort out obstacles to their success and make good decisions about their future.

Ben Carson has a motivational message to everyone, kid to adult. I put a post-it on the front of the book to remind me of some of his statements that I want to reflect on! This would make a great gift for anyone!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Gifted Hands" and I loved "Think Big" just as much. Dr. Ben Carson is an inspiration for anyone who is willing to trust GOD and go for it. I also loved the acrostic for think big. Keep up the good work and keep encouraging others Dr. CARSON. GOD BLESS YOU.

In this magnificent read, Dr. Carson inspires underachievers to become excited about the possibilities of becoming whatever they want to be. In the steps he used to chart the course for his own very successful life, he gives us keys to unlock the door to our own potential. I am an avid reader of self development books and was very inspired by Dr. Carson's message. I believe that by reading, as suggested by Dr. Carson, we can change our lives.

Dr Carson has lead a remarkable life. His determination is to be admired. A real role model for all ages.
Not everyone can be a neurosurgeon, but everyone can make the most of our God given abilities.

I read this book years ago long before Dr. Carson became a candidate for president. I admired him then and even more now listening to him express his views for our country. He can be a great motivator for young and old alike. Something that has been lacking in our leadership.

This book has definitely taught me the importance of reading books. This is the first time I read about Dr.Carson and I enjoyed reading about his struggles as a kid and how he went from being an F's student to becomeing the number one student in his class. I can't get to start reading Gifted Hands

Dr. Carson writes clearly and succinctly so that his thoughts are conveyed to anyone from age 10 on up. I have shared this book with my 4 grandchildren and hope they take it to heart. It is a great guideline for us all to live, achieve and succeed with much less stress and angst in our lives.
I highly recommend this read for all.

This book is very inspiring and motivating. As a mother, i really admire Ben Carson's mom. I want to use her parenting style because like her I want my kids to succeed in their own field of interest. I admire also her devotion to God. I'm thankful for the author for sharing his experiences and his strong FAITH. I really dream of such kind of success. Having a purposeful life to others. God is great all the time!

Discusses pros and cons of decisions. Has a unique set of questions he uses to determine if something is worth the risk or not. In his method he weighs the best and worst of doing it against the best and worst of not doing it.gives multiple examples. Wish I had had it earlier in my life.

A truly inspiring story on what happens when someone is willing to walk through the doors that are opened to them and is willing to work hard at the opportunities that are presented to them. It also reminds us of the power of influence. How people influence and inspire us and how we in turn can do the same.

Dr.Carson has provided a powerful inspiration through the great things, that are truly his life. I will be purchasing this book for my grandson, and hope we can read it together often. Dr Carson is truly an inspiration. May GOD continue to bless him and all of us.
