It's not quite what I was expecting - definitely different than "Illusions" - but it offers some great perspectives. I found the book serendipitously and so was ready and open to what Mr. Bach had to say.

As always, Richard Bach delivers. For those of us reaching our golden years of life, this book is additionally timely. If you've enjoyed any of Richard's past books you'll find some familiar friends and hopefully some forgotten smiles. Insightful and timely.

Being a huge "Illusions" fan, I was excited to learn this book had been written. It was worth reading, but was far from the quality of the original. In fact, it did not have the flavor of "Illusions" at all and should have been titled differently.

This book was great as is typical of Richard Bach - his style is wonderful, and his stories are always interesting to me. If you care for his work, this is a must-read for you. The first one is great also and many have read it so long ago, it may be worth a re-read before one heads into this one.

Richard Bach is an amazing man and author. It was uplifting and heartening to read his interpretation of the reasons for his travails, and I could apply them to my own life - having gone through a recent life-threatening time myself. Thanks, Mr. Bach. You are amazing.

Meh, Illusions was one of my favorite books. Any attempt to add to it was bound to be difficult. Not sure this book had a chance to live up to my expectations. Very choppy in the timeline for most of the book. It seemed hard to follow at points.

Richard Bach has done it again. A well-told story of his experience with his crash & recovery. As an old pilot (about his age) I could feel his concerns, & hope, despair, & elation. A great read!

Reality hits the man who has avoided all probable negative inputs to ones life - it was interesting how Richard Bach handled the airplane crash and his life threatening physical results. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Having been a Richard Bach/illusions fan since the first Illusions came out, I can say without reservation that I loved this book! I loved meeting Donald Shimoda again, but also the ferrets. I loved hearing about how Richard has done since his accident. I was so worried about him and wished/wanted him to heal. I guess if someone asked me what famous person I would want to meet in my lifetime, it would be Richard Bach. Richard, if you read your reviews, if you are ever down in the first Vancouver, please look me up! Mi casa es tu casa!

I have shared Illusions with hundreds of people and still buy it used on the store to give away. Before I changed careers, I was a college writing professor and I assigned Illusions for my students to read and then go where it took them to find their topic for their research paper. What a creative and wonderful assignment that was - for me and for my students! So, yes, I loved this book and loved being reminded of more of what I already know (thank you, Richard for teaching me that years ago!). I will be sharing this book too with people I meet -- as soon as I get a hard copy! I had to get this book when it came out and got it electronically. Which is nice, but holding a book in one's hands (like the movie of a life!) is also really awesome.

Thank you, Richard, for once again, being our teacher! xo

We gave this book three stars because of our appreciation of Richard's past work and his excellent writing style. We didn't give it more stars because the title gave us hope that this book would actually be a sequel to one of our all time favorite books, "Illusions - Adventures Of A Reluctant Messiah". Now, that was a great book! This book was merely something Richard flung together in celebration of living through his crash with Puff (his seaplane). As such, we did not mind paying for the Kindle book and reading the news report of Richard's survival; for that is all this book was to us. Respectively, we applaud Richard for that survival and hope for his complete recovery. We are glad you are back Richard. Be well; as you continue the Adventure!

Richard Bach writes the truth. Seventeen years ago, I was hit by the back end of a Jack-knifed piggy-backed rig. It took five years to walk "normally". It took eight years to recover my short term memory. It was the beginning of my process of waking up... the beginning of my discovery of the power of conscious, present-moment CHOICES, not rote habits. Richard is awake. So am I... He actually described the inside process of really "growing up". Present-moment, Self-awareness defeats the ego. It sets you free to be.

I didn't think the first Illusions could be bested but this book is even better! What a wonderful story with deep insight into our reality. There are some quotes in this book that I'll be using for the rest of my life!

Not quite as engaging as the original Illusions, but still a very good read. Richard Bach's (and Puff's) experience leaves one thinking "What if he's right? Could we possibly be a perfect expression of perfect love here and now? Food for thought!

I appreciate what Richard Bach tried to convey in this sequel, but it just didn't hold my attention like the first book, which I have purchased and given away to friends so many times, I've lost track.

Awesome! Have been waiting for this. Richard once again incorporates his 'characters' into his, and MY life. Glad you are well, Richard. We were up flying in the San Juans that day, and could not believe the news! Saw all the commotion and said, "no; not Richard Bach!" Waited patiently to hear bits of your recovery. This book is the best! More, soon? Another book signing in Arlington?
